I’ve had that 1st item slim wheeled triple tiered organizer for years now beside my washer/dryer to store mesh bags, a small bottle of Dawn, spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide, baking soda (in a recycled spice container with holes to sprinkle on stains), a toothbrush, and I use the hooks to hang a set of measuring cups and measuring spoons for the laundry. It’s so convenient and takes up little room. Love it!
My grandpa built ours. Originally for himself, but boy was he wrong! 1 1/2 small bathrooms with mostly women. It’s been decorated and changed differently over the years, but if we could just get it organized and reset that would be nice. It’s just my mom, my dog, and I now and we live in the downstairs area. Neither of us can go upstairs so we moved stuff down here after daddy died.
My hardest space to organize is definitely the craft room! I don’t have wall space only a folding table so I put stuff underneath in boxes then I forget what I have a buy it again 😅😅 I have rolling draws around the area that help. You have a beautiful home Shannon ❤ TFS! Honey is just so affectionate and sweet 🥰
You are an amazing and creative organizer! Thanks for the ideas! You renovated an older/small house look bigger and uncluttered. Greatly organized your spaces without being "too much" that it gives you a headache! Appreciate your giftings!
I moved from a house with an 800 sq ft craftroom to an apartment that is less than 600 ft total. **Small home "hacks" are sooo important to me. I was injured & ended up wheelchair bound. I've been here for 6 yrs & I'm still struggling to get & keep organized in a way that truly works for me. Thank you for this video. 😊
Shannon your house is beautiful. ❤ Thanks for sharing your space saving ideas!! They were great & very useful tips for those of us in same situation. ❤ Honey is precious! 🐶❤
Fun to see the various items & how you made them work in your home. We’re in a raised bungalow (not sure if that’s what this type is called in the US, raised ranch?) - it’s about 50 years old & typical of then, limited & small closets. Would love to have more / bigger drawers in our kitchen ; repurposed our 1 coats closet into a cleaning supplies one; our linen closet is not in our bathroom, so we use it more like a dry goods pantry; kitchen is limited for cupboards & drawers, so I have found ways with DT items to make better use of part of our counter. In my craft room I created “zones” based on category: papercrafting, Cricut, supplies for a mixture of projects, jewelry making or sewing-like projects, etc. I have 4 carts, too, as my craft room is small & is also my office. One of the best things I bought was the Ikea workbench with drawers. It provides a permanent spot for my Maker & holds a lot of supplies. From Amazon I got a great over the door hanging organizer that I attached to my wall. It has sturdy rectangular “shelves” or pockets & I keep my Cricut vinyl, HTV & related in it. I’ve made good use of the vertical space in this room - as you said, going vertical is a great way to organize. While it’s for bread, that bread box you have would, I think, be great for a craft room.
For a tooth brush holder, I used DT clear make up and jewelry organizers in my medicine cabinet. Some hot glue ( make up drawer organizer w/out drawers) and command stips ( to hold them in place) and your good to go.
WOW. A LOT OF WORK YOU HAVE DONE. great list above and went to your amazon all here link! how convenient. Some great items I wouldn't hav know about if I hadn't watched your video. THANK YOU!!
We live in a 23 ft motorhome. Have to multi use all storage areas. You've given me ideas to try. I'll let you know how it goes. Used clear bins in fridge, work great, easier to get everything out.
I love the 40 ideas because I starting to organize my apartment little by little but I need and idea to organize my closet that I share with my husband.thank you for sharing your organization tips
I love all of them but with so many people having to tighten their belts, the prices of so many of these are just out of reach for us. I'd love to see a video where there's more affordable options for storage items that aren't from Dollar Tree.
I had found good deals at HomeGoods and Michaels for those acrylic storage containers. I gotten some of them way cheaper than a dollar store (instead of buying 10 at the dollar store and then taking the time to put them together and using my glue) I found whole ones for five and $6.06 small drawers )a whole piece of six drawer for like five to $10 and other ones they originally were 15 to 20 I found them in Michael’s and HomeGoods for a lot less. I love I bought so many of them. I put them in the bathroom hold my make up and my bedroom for jewelry. I just love them.
Shannon… thank you so much for this video. I have gone from a 3000sqft house to about 750sqft . With ONE closet . 😱😱😱 Thankfully, I am very organized but am always looking for new ideas. I’m one of those crazy people that “spring cleans” and reorganizes at least 4 times a year. Yep. A bit of an obsession. 😂😂 That cart is fantastic and very reasonably priced even to come to Canada. I also appreciate that you have shown us things that you have used for years. I would sooner save and spend a little more for good quality. Hugs to Honey and to you! Ruth Ontario, Canada
If you organize/deep clean that often you will be just fine in your small space. It’s got to feel so nice to have less to worry about! I’m getting to that point in my life 😁 Hugs to you friend!
@@TheDailyDIYer … Shannon. Absolutely agree. The hardest thing for me to adjust to is not decorating quite so much for each season. Mainly because I have no where to store the stuff in off season and no where to put what I’m taking down. Hahaha. However, I’m sticking to a few simple things each season… small arrangements, trays, that can be repurposed or slid into a small box and slid under the bed. Wow… Except for Christmas. I have a lot of that stuff that I just cannot part with. However, I sure don’t miss cleaning 3000 ft.²!Lol
New to your channel and really loved it! So many great ideas. The areas I struggle with the most are storage rooms--food storage and decor stuff. Your craft area is fabulous! Peg boards are so versatile and I really liked how you put craft paper in the front of the acrylic bins--simple and stylish.
Great ideas! You’ve managed to fill & organize each space creatively & beautifully. Does your bread box not get covered in food splatters, being so close to your stove? I have a small counter next to my stove, too. So far, all I’ve put there is my spoon rest. 😊❤
I love your craft wall with all of your canisters. I had one like that in my former home but when I moved I had to give the wall unit up. In my new home I have used a lot of vertical space and even a repainted baby armoire. Thanks for sharing.
Fantastic ideas for your home Shannon, not only looks great but useful too. You have made 2 small bathrooms very usable spaces. I’m not real good at organising any small space but I’m waiting to get in to an independent living unit and they are small so I’ll have to put my imagination cap on and look for some great storage items. I love your kitchen and the small spaces you’ve utilised and also the ones on rollers that you’ve used all round your home. I love your craft space and your mum’s craft space too. You’ve done an awesome job on both of these spaces Shannon. TFS.
Love the scissor organizer, the slender and slide in cart. Need this for beside my bed. I like to read and do crossword puzzles every night. This I think will be perfect. Loved this video. Soo many good ideas. Tfs. God Bless. .
Shanon I pray 🙏🏾 to move to a Brand New kitchen of my dreams. I love what you have done. Thank You so much for your time and efforts. My fridge remains a horror story. I’m about to measure and get bins to fit like you have. Freezer and fridge. Those bronze tone hooks look so rich. Wow. I just ordered the jewelry Box. ❤
WOW, I wish I had the skill of organizing like you. It takes me forever to figure out what should go where. I still do not have things in a place where they belong. I am a DIYer as my husband does not want to be bothered with house projects. That takes up a lot of my time. I have a workshop area but it is a real mess. You have lots of great ideas that will help me.
Hi Shannon! What great ideas! My two biggest problem areas are under the bathroom sinks and under the kitchen sink. I would love some more ideas for those spaces.
Thank you for all of this help and your ideas today! I needed this because I'm moving to a smaller place by October first. Thank you for sharing all of this!

Great video Shannon. Love all the Hacks. I would really like you to do some Hacks on how to Organize your Pantry. Mine is Large. I have wire shelves, but not sure How to really utilize my space with containers. Budget friendly ideas would be appreciated. Thanks 🥰🥰
