In our camper we don't have a lot of dishes storage space so we use the binder bins to put our big plates and little saucer plates up on their sides and it saves so much space for bowls and cups to fit into our very small dishes cabinet
Oh MY GOODNESS!! Love the blackstone hack for wind!!!! Definitely trying that and the suction cup sponge holder for the hot spot...genius, love it! I use mine on small command hooks under the bathroom sink to hold a sponge😊
Off subject The round cookie tin is great never thought to use it for hot glue gun your ideas are great for anywhere to keep control of over spending 😀 on things I don't really need i live in a house thank you for your helping to keep organized enjoy
I have a grate dollar tree hack. I bought “floor mats” and lined my drawers in class b. Almost done! It should cut down on the noise, keeping my fingers crossed.
I prefer the collapsable storage bins because when you aren’t using them, they collapse down to practically nothing. When I leave for a trip, I pack a few collapsed, to “grow into”.
you don’t have to buy special clips for chip bags, I use clothes pins. We use them on laundry day to line dry clothes, and you can get tons of them per package.
I prefer the clips shown because they are far stronger and you can hang things on hooks with them! Also, I put the on the edge of a desk and run my charging cables through the handles so they don’t fall on the floor when they aren’t being used. Upside down, with handles extended and the flat side of the metal part down, they will hold a recipe card for you!.
6:56 Oh how I wish I could post pictures as comments on here! I have NEVER seen a dollar tree look organized and fully stocked. I was thinking about this the first 6 minutes and then when I saw the wallpaper, I had to comment. Our wallpaper / peel and stick tile is always on a bottom bin with 100 other things with no organization what so ever. I’ve got a few dollar stores around my area (probably 5-6 I can go to) and NONE look anything like that store!
We replaced out kitchen faucet also. I really wanted a pull-down sprayer so I could rinse out the corners of our farmhouse sink. The big issue we had was getting to the large nut holding the faucet to the countertop. The faucet was obviously installed before the sink and countertop were and it was virtually impossible to reach the nut. Thank goodness my husband is VERY handy and he created a tool out of PVC pipe to use to remove the old nut and install the new one. We went with black also and we LOVE it!!! Since we had the old kitchen faucet just laying around, I talked my husband into using it to replace the AWFUL faucet we had in the bathroom. The kitchen faucet is a little tall and there is definitely some splashing of water going on, but it is so much better than the old one. One last mod we would like to do is to replace the shower handle from knobs (which we can never tell which way to turn to shut off) to levers. Should be interesting.
The ideas were great! I was pretty dang impressed with that Dollar Tree. It was CLEAN and even more important it appeared to be FULLY STOCKED!!!! That is something that we don't find at any time in Southern Indiana. Thanks for sharing!
The Dollar Tree pegboards and accessories are NOT compatible with those you buy at Lowes, on Amazon, etc. The spacing of the holes is off just enough to make things not fit.
In our last RV I had plenty of doors and I used over the door hooks on each one. They were perfect for hanging jackets, hats, purses, backpacks and towels. Then we traded in that trailer for a slightly smaller one. The bathroom door is a slider/barn style and the only other door is to the pantry and it butts up to the screen on the main entrance door and we'd risk putting a hole in it. Such a bummer!! No more over the door hooks for me.
Hello Ms Charity, my fiance and I are planning on starting our RV living journey soon, we are saving to get an RV. We found you guys around a year ago and have just fallen in love with yall's vids! We have found yall's vids and advice to be the most helpful and we are always excited for more Glamper, lol. You crack us up with your puns and giving uncle Ben what for sometimes. :)
Love that DIY basket you made at the end! We're just starting out in a new RV. Clanking dishes and stuff shifting around in cupboards are a problem. Thanks for the clever hacks to help minimize it.
Not all Dollar Tree stores carry the same merchandise, the store you are visiting is awesome ! I saw they are closing several stores and that saddens me, I love visiting our local store. THANK YOU for sharing your ideas.
Those stories have been misleading. Dollar Tree (now) owns Dollar General. According to multiple videos, only 30 Dollar Trees are closing, and over several years. The bulk that are closing (and all that are closing in 2024) are Dollar Generals. :)
The woven bins around 2:05… in my experience, it doesn’t take long at all for one of the ends to separate from the bin, and then that whole “line” comes part.
@@Elizabeth-rq1vi Cool. Maybe it depends on manufacturer or batch or something. I had them beneath a craft table, using them kind of like drawers, and they didn’t last a year in that use.
After owning a sailboat for a number of years. Learning to using storage containers is a blessing. Forchinely, we don't run our RVs at a 10-to-15-degree angle. Without bins the boat would look like a rollover accident. We find a lot of experience from the boat crosses over well to owning a RV. Great vid for newbie RVers.
Thank you Grateful Glampers! Very cool you went through the whole store and came up with other great uses for not only storage but for hacks. We are always looking to make things more compact and organized in our trailer. Who knew all of the secondary uses for the products at the Dollar Tree! defiantly going to try some out. Thank you!
I use the magazine holders for paper plates, glasses, cutlery and glasses, as well as garbage. Everything stays in place and labeled so you can just grab and go.
Thanks for the ideas as always. Would like a store with all those choices and neatly displayed. My local stores look like kids had a free for all throwing stuff and little selection.
They just announced that they are going to start carrying items up to $7. I need some of those small clear bins with the locking lid, haven't seen them anywhere.
Happy Easter. Love the videos. But unfortunately, we do not have a Dollar Tree up here. Amazon has limitations as well for measurements and so on. Keep up the great videos.
I think I've been in a total of 3 different Dollar Tree stores and *NONE* of them have looked anything like that one! They look more like a war zone and there is very little stock anywhere on any shelves. And it's impossible to find anything...hairdryers next to boxed Mac and cheese, toothbrushes next to paper plates....yeah...gave up going in that store years ago!
I agree that bins are an essential item for RV organization. However, toward the beginning of this video she was talking about two different types of bins in the $3 and $5 sections. One of them was the traditional square style that collapses down flat (a biggie since you can collapse them if needed). The second one she looked at was one in a soft green color with a handle and she thought that was great. I wholeheartedly disagree. The traditional true square bins are WAY better because there is no absolutely no wasted space. The angles of many Dollar Tree baskets and bins preclude somebody from using space most effectively in an RV. I've owned an RV for ages and the best thing you could possibly do is make sure all of your organizational items like bins are as squared off as humanly possible. Cute doesn't count in my world. Effectiveness counts. You may not think it makes a difference, but it really does. If you purchased four of those soft green bins she's talking about you're essentially giving up the space that five squared off bins would provide you. Go to Dollar tree and put them next to each other and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. If you have a gigantic RV it may not matter, but for someone like myself who has a smaller travel trailer every square inch counts. Emphasis on the word "square." That gray fabric basket for $5 that kind of had a semi woven look also is angled. Take one of them over to the health and beauty section and put some bottles of shampoo and lotion, etc., in there. You will see an enormous amount of wasted space where it angles upward which in turn causes them to lean and look messy. I think that's a dud as well. But that's my opinion, others may love it. I'm "function over fashion" in the global sense. I also disagree on using these cheap $1.25 wire baskets with command hooks or for any reason. They are thin and will distort with the slightest odd movement. Unless you're putting a scarf in there those bins don't hold anything to speak of with any iota of heft. I'm all for saving a little money here and there, but I'd rather spend more for something that isn't going to fall apart after a week. As many things as I like at Dollar Tree, they also sell quite a bit of junk. I would definitely put those wire baskets in the junk section. That's when you spend a little more money. Quite a few good ideas in here, but I cannot emphasize enough how much space you will be throwing away if you buy anything but squared off storage bins for your RV unless you own a monster Class A or 5th wheel. They sell those squared off bins in soft green as well - you might just have to buy them elsewhere if color coordination is your thing. My bins are all hidden behind my cupboards so color doesn't matter to me. I'm probably also more of an old-school RV user. Overall I'm a minimalist on trips and I try to find dual purpose in as many things as possible and don't feel the need to have a junior size of my home with me. Others find that to be their level of comfort and that's fine. Everyone has their style and she presented good ideas, but I tend to use these clips for ideas I then run with in other directions, but I think there are some better organizational options than some things she's discussed here. I'm not saying this as a criticism as much as for people to realize that some instances require prying the wallet open a bit more.
I can appreciate saving money, but I have never been in a clean dollar tree. Been in several and they ALL looked like a bomb went off in them… the bathroom literally had a pile of shit in the corner. Never again… I’ll keep my money, thanks…
OMG, couldn't focus on the the rest of the video after seeing your Blackstone when you showed the things for blocking the wind. Who is in charge of taking care of your Blackstone? It looked in horrible shape. Rust on the outside and on the griddle surface, it made me so sad😢. I don't even eat after cooking until I have cleaned and oiled ours. So much easier to stay on top of it if you do that.
Be very careful with purchases from these stores. They have many law suits pending for higher prices at cash register than what the shelf price is. Some stores where 80% incorrect during a federal audit due to complaints. They are terrible companies.
Why do you say $1 when it is $1.25. I hear they want to raise standard sales to $1.75. Everywhere is going up and up. It seems they are competing with $5 and above.

Tip, measure your cabinets and right it down so you’ll know whether they will fit. Take your tape measure to the store.

Hey, getting my first RV and going to trailer a car. Could use advice and etiquette for the trailer in the sites.
Most campgrounds have you park the trailer in over flow parking. Very rarely are you allowed to put a car trailer in your campsite.

We just took our first trip in our renovated Fleetwood and find using spring tension rods in the cabinets helps keep things in place.
Hey! That's my Dollar Tree too! 😃You can come in off 434 now too. They finally fixed that little road.
