@angieboyte997 Short answer? Staying where there are no amenities or services, including water, electricity and dump stations. This can even mean no nearby gas stations or stores (grocery, big box, auto).
Your videos are the most informational and practical on You Tube for RV. You aren't just talking, you can see you took time on preparing before recording you have taken the fear out of RVs. Also, you have to be one of the best couples on YT.
Your comment cracked me up because I thought the same thing. But then I thought about the extra laundry and I pretty much reaffirmed what I realized years ago.... I really love my dogs ❤ btw they are an adorable couple. Just wanted to make sure that I didn't come across as a negative Nelly 😊
@@MountainGirlwIPA I was thinking the same thing too but quickly went down the narrow Negative Nelly lane with thoughts like, “What they’ve got is 1 in a 1,000,000. So , good luck with that , Lisa. And at YOUR age ?!” . Still , it’s nice to see.
I already have my overnight and longer-term parking situation staked out for up to 6 months at a time with shore power and water hook -up and sometimes a good bathhouse! It REQUIRES ASSOCIATES MEMBERSHIP GUESTS MUST SIGN IN WITH ACCOMPANYING MEMBER.
You've a new subscriber😊. I am a 63 year old lady from the UK, having a mid life crisis, nope, mid life adventure, and watching as many great videos that I can whilst saving to buy a campervan. I absolutely LOVE your style of presenting, extremely engaging, and fun to watch. Thanks for putting this together for a very informative video. If ever you come to Scotland, let me know! Xx
I only found you guys a few days ago and instantly subscribed (and binge watched all your videos for hrs)❤ my hubby and I are looking into RVs (a dream of ours for 15+ years) to make short fun trips with our dogs 😊 you guys are so inspiring and compliment each other so well! Excited to dive into this video and for the useful tips! Much love from Delaware 🤗
So glad you found us! We absolutely love inspiring you to get out there and hit the open road! Thank you for watching and leaving such a lovely comment! TURN IT UP! 🥰💙💕
I love the fact that 2 of you are living in a tiny Van. I just scaled-down from a 2 bedroom. 2 bath to a 1 bedroom almost 50% less. And it's really tough but I'm getting through it. Going. cont to mimalize. My goal is a pickup truck. I've got a couple years to go through this stuff but I am❤❤❤❤❤thanks guys
You guys look great!!! Tanya, looks like the healthy life style is working!!! You look awesome!!! I love watching you guys!!! Out of all me and my husband watch….you guys are my favorite!!!
I was an offense for quote awhile. But all your information helps me be realistic about it. But the love you too share is inspiring. I will be building a Van and starting this summer.❤
This is now my all-time favorite RV- life video. Entertaining, thoroughly informat, personable and creative. I love how your ying-yang balance makes your travels possible. THANKS❤ 3:20:38
Hey about the feet my 2 boys 19 & 23 have some serious foot odor sometimes and a tea bag in the shoes will help a LOT lol and keeping a little pan to wash your feet in helps sooo much. Getting ready to move into my camper thank y’all for your videos I’m so nervous it will be my full time home
Hi Im a New Subscriber!! Im a women from Illinois. Loved your video! Congratulations on being a Nurse!! Im so Proud of you & Thankful for Caring Nurses! Last Summer I spent months in hospital bed ridden from a accidently falling in Mexico on vacation, I contracted Sepsis while at a Mexican ER..1 room building that was so nasty dirty! When came back I spent 1 month in Tennessee hosp, where we flew out of Airport in Nashville Tennessee. My ankle was broken & open wound sores all over my legs, then transferred to a Illinois hospital and spent 1 month in hosp there & got, gangrene on the foot with broken ankle, had to have surgery & they took skin off that foot, then in a Nursing home for 5 weeks for rehab to learn to walk again. Then home on a walker with large open wounds had wound care for several weeks, now Im good but the foot that had surgery still swells, Dr wanted me to have skin graph, I refused it, now wish I had it. Anyway, when the Nurses are nice to you & caring, its so important! & helps you be able to handle the situation, & feel cared for especially long term stay!! I had Some Nurses when they came in for their shift, I was so grateful! Thank you for your work & careing about your patients! Your matking a big difference in another peoples Lifes!! Thank You so Much❤❤ Are you a Traveling Nurse? Ihad lot of Traveling nurses, they were all great!!❤❤❤❤
Great learning channel you’ve set up. We had our black water tank hose come loose and spill everything on the ground the morning we were about to leave the camp ground. We felt terrible but I went to the office to report it. They appreciated it and said that most people just drive off without saying a thing.
U-Haul's website now shows the price of propane and different locations as well as how much they have available, so you don't have to guess about a U-Haul location having propane available after you arrive.
Y’all are so much fun to watch and always have great content with very useful information!! Keep up the good work. Stay safe and blessed and as always enjoy the journey!! ❤
3:13:36 - I’m speaking as an insurance claims adjuster. Are there cases where your insurance can deny your claim if you are driving overweight in your rigs??? It depends on your insurance policy. Everyone has a different policy. I would advise people to review their policy and look to see if there is any language regarding overweight vehicles / rigs and how coverage is handled. The insurance company can only operate within the scope of the policy. So your policy would have language that speaks to losses or conditions that are not covered. These denials are never out of the blue, most people are unaware of their coverage and it’s limitations.
You two are so easy to watch and have very informative videos. I enjoyed the content very much. We live in Oklahoma. My husband and I go camping a few times a year. We are now in our 70’s and cannot travel full time due to health problems. We may travel to a couple of towns in our fine state to visit our children and grandchildren but for the most part we just stay home. I watch RUclips to watch others like yourselves who travel and have great info and get to witness all your experiences through you and the others I watch. So, I am confused, do you have two different campers, the Ford Transit and the Ekco motor home?❤😊
I have a cat (18.5 lbs.!), BIG girl! She has a big box with Arm & Hammer CLIMP & Seal litter for her “business trips”! A 40lb. box lasts her for a month. Keeps odors under control when cleaned out and smells good but not overwhelming! Ones in Multi-Cat, too.
You two are such lovelies ❤🥰 About the long showers: there's several RUclips tutorials on how to build simple recirculating shower systems, which you can use inside or outside! You can recirculate the same bucket/small tank of water through a filter so as long as you have electricity and propane, yes you can take that leisurely soak! 🤔🫡🚿😌
In the 4th section of your video, you talk about packing smartly. I retired from being a lean consultant. A lesson from my lean toolbox is "The Rules of Frequency". Keep the stuff you need the most next to you. The stuff you use once a year should be stored the furthest away. Stuff in between,,, well I think you get it. My whole 5,000 sq ft home is packed using this concept. Good way to stay organized and waste less time moving stuff out of the way to get one item. You already do that apparently, you just don't call it "The Rules of Frequency" :). Also think about vertical storage vs horizontal storage. Would you want to stack your books or (I know, old school) vinyl albums vertically or horizontally? I have a drawer in my kitchen that I put a piece of foam in the same size as the bottom of the drawer and laid out the contents I want in there and drew around each item and then cut that foam out to half the thickness of my one-inch foam. Then when something is missing, it sticks out like a sore thumb and makes it easy to put everything away easily knowing everything is in its home all the time.
Huge fan, and I'm not even and RV'r. Spray your shoes with Lysol spray every time you rake those shoes off it will kill the bacteria and fungus that cause foot odor. You must let it dry before putting your shoes back on. You can also add foot powder with this method if it's really bad. Again, use the powder after the lysol has dried in the shoes. This worked for me. I have not had foot odor in years since doing this.
Love just about everything about this rig. I wish they would put some kind of net on the pantry. And yes I would like to have the option for a king size bed. I would really love a tankless water heater and the upgrade brakes would be awesome. Thanks for a wonderful review of this unit it is now on our short list for our next RV . ❤
For the black tank, I use RV antifreeze instead of water in the toilet. Mind you I have only spent a few nights in below freezing temperatures in my RV when I was in Custer State Park and again in the Northeast U.S.
I had always thought about joining Harvest Host but recently, i have seen several RUclipsr full and part time RVers say they have been having trouble with it being reliable for various different reasons....Always nice to get several perspectives about it though especially when that is free...Big fan of the Cracker Barrels and Casinos for overnite parking also....One option i did not see mentioned here that is a big fan of ours are Corp of Engineer Campgrounds....Much cheaper than RV parks , almost always near lakes or rivers, and if you have the America the Beautiful Pass those campgrounds are even half off those cheap prices...We often see costs here in the $10-$20 a nite range....Travel safe moving forward, stay well....
I absolutely love your candor! It was fun, listening to you all. I don’t have an RV, but I just like hearing your adventures because I am looking into start tent camping.
Tanya and Dave y’all are hilarious!!!! Your videos keep me laughing 😂😂😂😂😂. I’m a land liver🤣😂not a camp lifer, but I really enjoy watching all of your videos….thank you for taking me along on all of your adventures….big hugs to you both, stay safe🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽❤️
This is why you two should think about installing a mini wood stove . It's better not to just rely on one source of heat . I also recommend buying a couple of battery fans , for the kitchen area. , the cats , yourself, and for Dave . Stock up on wood and batteries. Better safe than not. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
The Who. An excellent band. I've seen them. In concert. I'm an old tree hugger, from Southern California. I love the vibe you send me. I would have been hanging with you for sure. MuAh.❤❤❤❤❤❤
😊 What a useful series of "hints" to pass along to others -- well presented & very entertaining -- thank you! ❤ (P.S. We even have a Berkey that we use at home because our town water is so ukky.)
Yall are awesome, definitely the easiest rv videos to watch and keep my attention. Great energy guys I’ll be looking out for the cross country videos!😊
Another suggestion is to soak your feet in baking soda and water daily before washing them. Then, you can also use the baking soda and water to soak your socks in before you wash your socks. Mostly cotton white socks, plus not wearing socks and shoe/sneakers all the time, really helps with foot odor. Good luck!
New subscriber and I enjoyed watching you both. I'm 59 single that would love to be able to travel like you guys do. The fear of nights out alone somewhere by myself really scares me.any ad vice please from anyone would be much appreciated. I have already learned so much just buy one of your videos not counting all the others I still get to watch thank you so much
Love you 2, great sense of humor with so much information always so helpful and inspirational too. Sending lots of love hugs and prayers daily too. 🤗❤️🙏🤗❤️🙏
I wish someone would come to the southeast and do a video on where its free to camp. Set up some of those programs for overnight at farms... I have seen the signs at some of those cracker barrels and wakmarts. I went in abd asked. They said it was ok and told me what spots to psrk in..
Omg wish I have seen this video that in January oh my God listen to what they’re saying absolutely true everything they said that you should do trust me😊
When I traveled across Country or out of state I will ask even gas stations if i can rest awhile and explain my situation and they will even watch out for me. Most lots zi stayed in again I always ask and they just ask be to purchase something at least once a day. That was especially Cabela’s. Here in montana
""BRAVE"" that's what I say , good for both of you. It's a great life but you must be smart about all electrical stuff ... I lived in my car ... You asked make comments so here it goes... Taping your biking is not good, I switch to fast forward it's nothing to see except wheels & dirt.. 🙏❤️🙏bless you & safe travels ❤❤❤
Regarding pets on a leash? When they say "No more than 6 feet long," they mean a 6' *fixed length* leash, not six feet of your extending leash. -- In some places, it will be so stated, but in many others you can get a fine for using an extending one *and* have to take your pet back to the rig immediately (and/or go buy a fixed length leash). -- If you are going to use an extending leash, where allowed, learn how to use it properly and most effectively yourself. -- Train your pet to recognize a command that lets them know they are reaching the end of whatever length you are giving them at that time. -- Use words like, "End!!", "Limit!" & Careful..." (I have used these with my guys over the years.) -- You can lightly press the lead button before pressing it hard. This creates a blurrrrping sound that alerts them of the upcoming limit. -- Train them to the term "Wait!" for whenever they come to a street or intersection and then "OK, cross." when it is safe. ❤Happy travels!😊
A ex-bf mentioned how stinky his feet were and I had never notice - and I’m pretty sensitive to smells - his trick was he had a separate stick of de order at dedicated to his tootsies, he’d apply it before putting on his sock - it really worked
Hello my favorite nomads. Hope you both are well. I do have a question...you guys have/had a apt in Vegas. Did you put your furniture in storage? Good video for newbies want to live the gypsy life. Love you guys
You guys are awesome! No kids involved of course, right? My friend with wife and 2 adult kids want to experience that adventure. Could you assist them? Thank you!
I’m new to your story, and love it. ❤. I looked all through your description, but couldn’t find what your rig is? I like its design. What is the make and model? Thank you

Well hello Mr. Dave and Mrs. Tanya.
Great job guys thank you so much I enjoy your channel!! Happy Camping👍🏾💪🏾🙏🏾🔥💯🥰
Great video 😂 specially for nubies . You're style of communicating is very fun and ❤. Thank you guys keep turning it up 👆 😊❤
I taped a piece of cardboard over the panic button on my key fob. One time going off, unintended, is too many.
That’s a good idea, thanks so much for the great tip!
For foot odor don't wear colored socks. Also put cornstarch your socks to help with absorbing of feet sweating.
Thanks so much for the great tips!
Another suggestion is to soak your feet in baking soda and water daily before washing them. Then, you can also use the baking soda and water to soak your socks in before you wash your socks.
-- Use words like, "End!!", "Limit!" & Careful..." (I have used these with my guys over the years.)
-- You can lightly press the lead button before pressing it hard. This creates a blurrrrping sound that alerts them of the upcoming limit.
-- Train them to the term "Wait!" for whenever they come to a street or intersection and then "OK, cross." when it is safe.
❤Happy travels!😊
