- Some headsets that are used are great options for purchases. Maybe the HTC Vive is the perfect used VR headset for you! Landon and Sean break down the pros and cons of buying this headset used.
Idea: When one of you is talking about something make him bigger and slide the other one away. It is looking like you 2 are doing a presentation in front of a class, (I am not trying to be negative just a tip) Great video btw! One of the first ones when i looked for Second hand VR Headsets
also, the audio of the left person is way too loud compared to the right person, i was constantly adjusting my volume
A complete htc vive set with headset, base stations, wands and cables etc for $150 bucks?!!?? That's a insane deal! Yes you buy that! Those basestations I believe can be used later to upgrade to valve index controllers and eventually the valve index headset. Any complete pc vr set for >$200 is a deal if you got the pc to drive it, otherwise oculus quest 2.
I found a guy seling a oculus rift s for 200$ today
@@stickyman3786 Valid Price that's how much its worth
@@stickyman3786 bad deal
@@mattwilliamson2703 now yes its a horrible but when i commented a year ago it wasent the worst deal then
I’m gonna buy one. Idm the resolution but I use full body tracking and calibrating it with my quest 2 is annoying. Plus My quest 2 tracking is freaking out and it stops tracking then I have to calibrate again. I would go with index I can afford one but my gaming laptop with a 10th gen i7 and 1660ti only has hdmi
My only argument is FBT . The quest requires alot of tinkering to not even technically being able to share the same play space and constantly be reset. This is far easier to achieve with vive if you find a bundle with index controllers and already own body trackers.
Yup that’s why I’m trying to get the vive, my friends gonna sell it to me for 170
I just bought a used vive for 250 I didn't know if it was a good deal or not, I was doing everything to avoid buying an oculus hope the cost comparison was worth it.
I think it is a good deal because you can eventually upgrade to the index headset and keep the vive base stations and controllers
@@vladimirpepe375 I’ve had a htc vive one since launch years ago I paid so much for it but what would your recommend to upgrade? Just the index headset or do I need more things besides my base station and controllers
@@sammyshadi7621 Index headset and index controllers, you can keep base stations from vive
@The Fantastic J bro it has better graphics and you dont hve to sell you soul to facebook
@The Fantastic J And it works with index controllers out of the box witch is the main selling point for me.
Those are some great tips on what to look out for while buying a used headset!
Just got one for 172, plan on giving it to my friends that can't afford a headset!
@1:30 So these guys told their friend not to buy something for roughly half the price of what others are selling the same item for…. Maybe, it’s just me but anytime you come across something priced much lower than anywhere else, do your due diligence to assure everything is at it seems (to not get screwed by overlooking something) and if your satisfied then buy it. With that much difference in the price, you should be able to sell it and profit. Even if you can’t find a buyer, you can let guests use it, you’ll have a backup if the other one stops working and if you’re really crafty, you might be able to use the parts inside to create something uniquely awesome! Me personally, I would have bought it and sold in within a few days, it’s easy money, whether it’s $10 or $100 doesn’t matter when obtaining it is damn near free.
I’m gonna be completely real. I’m going to purposefully downgrade from my quest 2. SPECIFICALLY for the direct connection to a display port, that feels busted (in other words: really f-ing good) for pcvr, and I also want a slice of something I never got, IE when the htc vive came out for the first time. I’m a big fan of older technology that still holds up even in today’s day and age.
I got my full kit for 140 very nice!!
i just bought one that is used 4-5 times and i got it for $500 and im yet to set it up
Considering i bought mine when it came out for 800-900$ then yes you better buy it for 100$
Im planning to buy an htc vive and potentially getting the knuckles controllers in the future. Is 300 a good price ?
I bought whole thing for less than a 100 bucks, it was hundred with shipping xD
Can you make a video about the valve index and if it's worth it?
Great idea. We’ll add it to our list!
I only have a heavaliy used oculus 1 I'm thinking about getting an original htc vive
I mean you can sell the basestation alone
Does anyone know how to take a "screen shot" with an HTC Vive Headset using Valve controllers?
Is 399 for a full set a good deal?
im getting a broke one and fixing it for 150 bucks
How do you do a good quality inspection online. Like how do you make sure the lenses don't have micro scratches or something difficult to see online?
let me ask you this... i have an original vive right now, had a psvr and a wmr hp too but sold them. havent played vr in a couple years but im getting back into it now. my pc is lower end. i can max out skyrim no mods but i havent even bothered buying half life because im pretty sure i cant run it. would it be worth it for me to upgrade to a different headset at this point? im totally out of the loop on current headsets. mainly playing older games like skyrim, pavlov, stand out that kind of old stuff.
If you have a low end PC, I would upgrade it first.
half life Alyx is extremely well optimised, if you can run Skyrim you should have no trouble running half life Alyx
is 470$ for a htc vive with htc vive deluxe audio strap and valve index controllers a good deal?
Yea the htc is worth about 200 delice audio idk like 70-100 and then the index controllers like 150-200
I got vive for 100 usd
Please make a video on Nintendo labo!!!!
pssst: HTC vive is bad
Huh?
Its not if you mean the controllers than yes they are bad but the headset not so much
