    I love my Cosmos Elite with the Index controllers. I never had the original Cosmos, but going from the vive wands to the knuckles is game changing. My friend has the Index, but it’s IPD doesn’t go high enough for my eyes.
    Once I get the wireless adapter I think I’ll be set on my setup for years to come.

    I was given this headset by my son. For me the experience has been excellent, tracking hasn’t been an issue, I have a room with lots of light and objects for it track (it likes these 2 things) Take the time to get the halo strap fitted to your skull properly and comfort is good. Visuals are very good, I don’t notice screen the door effect and never feel motion sickness. Headset and controllers are robust (they need to be with 3 kids on it all the time) thumbs up to HTC.

    What you pointed out about controller drift is present in all the current inside out tracking systems. I have two oculus quests both do that as well and as they get older the drift gets worse.

    I got one and I enjoy it. The only thing that annoys me about it is what happens in a not lit enough room when you lower the controllers down a little, they get stuck at the bottom until you move them around enough to get them unstuck. Also, the short controller battery life. However, those things don't ruin my experience in VR and I've been able to aim pretty well in games. I still plan on getting the index someday, though.

      Korvo's Expedition it will cost you more if you buy the normal cosmos, then buy elite parts for it, you will need 2 controllers, 2 light houses, and faceplate, and parts for it is kinda pricey.

    I ended up opting for a second hand vive pro (it's on it way) to replace my Vive. I mainly play ED, Skyrim and flight sims. Deep blacks are important to me. I did a flight at night using the vive in MSFS and it was breathtaking. How are the blacks in the Cosmos?

    Mine arrived today, it was horrible. Straight out the box, after setting up- it would stutter alot and would be unplayable for gaming. After restarting it- it would work fine until about 30 mins later where it started lagging itself out again. Not only this but the fitting was horrible, it is incredibly loose- the front hinge makes it loose, tightening the back or top doesn't even help the situation, i felt like i was balancing a stick on my head because of how wobbly it was. Then after some time, it completely stopped working and i had to restart my pc twice and disconnect + reconnect all cables from the link box for it to work again? nope, it came out with some distorted signal where half the screen was black and half showed a distorted image. AGAIN, i had to restart and finally it worked normally. BUT WAIT! I spent so long trying to get it to work, it is already evening and my room is dark (i have rgb lighting), and now the tracking is completely gone! The tracking was already bullshit with it completely failing when i put my controllers to my face, which disrupted alot of games- forcing me to stick my hands out while playing. Should i mention that games like vrchat is a no go? THE CONTROLLERS ARE HORRIBLE! My oculus quest controllers track so much better than this crap, and i bought the vive cosmos to replace my quest because of how front heavy the quest was.
    I WAS WRONG ABOUT THE COSMOS! To the people thinking of buying this- please, i beg to you- don't buy this. The headset barely even fit my head with the lenses being incredibly blurry for some reason and the tracking being horrible. Reconsider, it will save you time and energy. I know for sure i am returning my cosmos.

    SteamVR stats showed this headset is not much favorite (just 1,25%) and will not raise much new owners, especially since Quest 2 is on the market, we might even forget Cosmos... For that price you send on Cosmos, you get already better headset like Reverb G2 or Quest 2, or little more, Index.
    Cosmos Elite is almost same price as Index, so yeah...
    Steam support is even better than HTC support.

    There is either not enough light or too much light in your room, piece of garbage trash device, I own both Vive Cosmos and the original Vive which I will sell. With the Cosmos each darn time you need to do a room setup, drifting controllers and the Cable that keeps rolling up into a knot but still keeping it as I can't cope with base stations and too much cables. They should offer cosmos owners a solution.

      @Morenob1 3 года назад

      @@FritzyFreak Yes and no, it can be nice if it works but every condition in your house needs to be perfect. If you have dimming light in your house it is that bad and you can't use the damn thing without having done a room setup, can't set it up can't use your headset. The rubber cable keeps rolling together which makes the cable suddenly shorter. If you want to watch a movie in your room and take the headset forget it you wont be able to set it up room conditions need to be perfect. The new headband is also fragile, I prefer the older Vive its more user friendly but the headset is blurry like a VHS.
