I've only seen this now 2 years after but I didn't want it to end. Could watch the two of you all day. Totally agree with you Stephen. He is the best commentator and pundit in the business

I really like Fouldsy. He is an absolute gem. Got a good brain and is is a great analyst of the game. He's got a cracking sense of humour. Like so many others have said these chats are great!

Love these chats of hendry. Never imagined would see this side of Hendry as a casual, relaxed and humorous. After all those years of hating him for defeating White in the 5 world finals. Now i just enjoy his personality.

Hendry crosses all generations. He's the window into all of it and I am so grateful.
God! He played the Hurricane for God's sake.
    So many questions.

I really enjoyed Stephen's top 10 list. It was interesting and sorta different to see him speak with so much respect for a lot of players, especially of course Jimmy. But all of them. It was an awesome way to hear Hendry speak that you don't usually hear

I agree with Neal completely. Neal played Steve many times in the 1985 until 1991 time and Neal will never forget how good Steve played.

Stephen your absolutely great at these interviews. You are a class act. And Fouldsy was right Ronnie’s loss to Mark Selby I think really affected him. I thought when he won the Covid championship in 2020 he would defend it in 2021. But he won it again in 2022, I think he has more in him if he wants it. If Judd played Ronnie at his peak, shotmaker against the best positional player the game has ever seen. I would give Ronnie the edge and agree with you both.

I know that Stephen Hendry used "peak level" as his Top 10 criteria but realistic speaking there is no way Trump is that high in the Top10 of the greatest Snooker players. No way Trump is above John Higgins or Davis yet. Nor Williams or Selby. They have achieved much more than Trump has done so far.

At last someone who hasn’t been affected by this lockdown and talks sense.... As a fellow Scot and idolised Stephen hendry all my life I think this lockdown has affected his judgement and memory. Can’t believe what I am hearing even mentioning Trump in the same sentence as Ronnie, John, Steve. Etc
And as for his judgement about ding edging jimmy OMG stop cooking and eating your food it’s affecting your memory. Stephen.
Your getting to close again !!!

Stephen thinks Judd will be a top player. He did not even include himself in this scenario so it’s fairly obvious his countdown is based on future prospects and not actual current achievements in this scenario Judd will become an all time great. But not in the likes of ROS,Hendry,Higgins or Davis. I hope Judd wins the world championship again this year. He is the best thing since Jimmy White for audience entertainment.

    as for the GOAT question:
hendry was the most dominant player ever. ronnie is the most talented player ever.
it would be fitting if they both ended up having won 7 world titles.
they are equally great. one for concentrated dominance...one for longevity.

Funnily enough 3 years later Ronnie has won another 2 to equal Stephen - Judd hasn't won another - Selby on 4 and just runner up in 2023 must now be in the top 5

as for the first chinese world champion question....i think yan bingtao has given ding a huge kick up the arse. we'll see this april how ding responds to being upstaged. however, i sense that bingtao has got the temperament to reach the pinnacle*. i think ding is prone to bottling it, as he did most recently against ronnie. if he doesn't win it this year, i dont think he'll ever get another chance. *having said that, i think bingtao was extremely lucky to contest the masters without a crowd. he was never tested in the way the everyone else has been, so the jury is still out when it comes to playing huge frame(s) in an highly charged electric atmosphere.

Hendry should include himself in his list - He clearly would think he’s no.1 or no.2 and rightly so. For all he’s achieved in the game, you couldn’t accuse him as coming across as arrogant and would be 1st/2nd of anyone’s list.

You can't compare 'chalk with cheese ' ! Everyone is different and it's differences not ' bests ' that make life worth living.... Every talent or performance makes another talent or performance great and mistakes and blunders count as much in entertainment value ....actually they are far MORE CREATIVE than ' pat success ' . Spectator Sport is FOR entertainment , who 'wins ' is actually nothing to do with entertainment value . If your only interested in who wins ....you may just as well watch paint dry .

King didn't get Hawkins to knock the black in... he fouled the black and left the pink and black on for King. Weird he'd forget that considering it was his favorite match...

Ronnie is the greatest 19 majors 36 ranking titles the most premier leagues the most centuries and 147s keeping hendry Higgins Williams Selby robbo ding and trump to name but a few at bay entertaining us for decades keeping snooker afloat in the most competitive era ever keeping sponsors happy and viewing figures up all on his own terms never been a slave to the game or politically perfect...... Took 9 months off wins the masters took a year out after winning the world's in 2012 comes back and wins in 2013........his aura and presence is unique nobody like him everything he does makes headlines his longevity is legendary he owns the shanghai masters and the champ of champs and only last year he won the inaugural coral series beating judd and robbo in the final 2 return to world number 1 at 43 he's the GOAT🙏

no way in world is jimmy above mark williams, jimmy was great and certainly better than most if not all of the one time world winners, but not mark who has 3, mark also dominated for a while too.

Stephen Hendry has a poor memory. He played Ray Reardon in 1988 and it was a great match. It went to 4-4 with Reardon making a 90 and other big breaks. Ray was 56 years old. Hendry won the decider. Ray was a great player and Stephen should know better. How he can put White and Higgins above Ray is daft. I have Reardon at 4.
