    The Priory eh. Broadway Lodge ftw, but glad he's a re-born Drinker keeping it in control etc. Phenomenal player and many hours/days spent watching this LEGEND tbf.👍. "G'wan RONNIE"...

      @@mrb018538 Yes between 2017 -2019 were his best periods....yes he became world number & even smashed 1000 centuries!!!....looked at a podcast today by Eurosport where they interviewed Ronnie.....He basically said over the next few seasons he's going to try to play in as much tournaments as possible which is great news for the fans.....His game is great at the minute but you just can't play in less then half the ranking tournaments & stay up the rankings.....He did say he'd made a mistake as he wanted to play in German masters & European masters which he pulled out last minutes.......this season Ronnie said he's actually played well won a tournament,1 final,2 semis & quarters too......ranked 18 is brilliant when you've only played in a handful of ranking events..

    Unplayable when on it and that's in any era against any player to date.....hes the most misunderstood person in snooker..... Hendry Davis never had any of this man's issues both politically perfect to the establishment😇never had any real competition they just turned up and won......imagine they had to play a Murphy Allen Perry Hawkins dott or Carter let alone players like Higgins Williams Selby robbo ding and trump...... 🙏 Ronnie thank you trust me your the greatest 19 majors says it all taking your honest storytelling into consideration not that I had any doubt👌your cue ball 2nd to none and your longevity is legendary great to see you so happy looking forward to the next 5 years so folks enjoy him whilst you can he's the governor nó doubt👍

    • @Harry-jz1dn
      @Harry-jz1dn 4 года назад

      The same unfair, weak argument given about Hendry as usual. I've watched snooker since the late 80s onwards. Everyone (like you have done) ONLY rates Hendry solely on who he played and the weaker opposition of that time. YOU CAN ONLY PLAY WHAT'S IN FRONT OF YOU. If the opposition is weaker it doesn't mean you are are a weak champion. To make fair comparisons you need to take Hendry on his own merits and his own game, high breaks, 147s, safety. Then you take his will to win and his temperament under pressure. Ronnie himself couldn't believe how good Hendry was when he came into the game as a youngster.
      Peak Hendry would easily have risen his game and will to win against modern-day players, including Higgins, Ronnie and Williams and been a world champion. Sadly by the older Hendry got the less he cared about snooker, he'd won everything in the game already and played to keep the income in, practising nowhere near the amount he did. He's said as much in interviews. It's the same when people say Maradona could never have been world player of the year in the modern era because he only played against rubbish defenders.

    • @sryan9213
      @sryan9213 4 года назад

      Hendry was definitely not politically perfect. He was spread on the front page of national newspapers in the 80s for misconduct (poppers, women etc) Hendry changed the game. No one can doubt that. 7 centuries in 10 frames in a final was peak. As Hendry was on the decline (2000s) he still put Ronnie in his place regularly. Peak Hendry wins world titles in any era as does peak O Sullivan obviously. Hendry was a born winner. O Sullivan is a genius no doubt, but has always had a sense of entitlement which has cost him on the baize. He knows now Trump is at his peak and he isnt. You'll see Ronnie in less tournaments now. Trump has taken the game to a new level.
