Steve Davis is so underrated in pool. Had a lot of game
Now he's retired at snooker he should do pool, look at the American Jim rempe, played pool into his late 60s early 70s, make his money, get more known to a US cue audience and make his Wikipedia page bigger in a few departments 😀

Steve Davis knows the break. Those shots between 23:00-23:40 were really nice especially that blue all the way across to the top left soo snuggly and smoothly in between all the other balls tight tolerances. The snooker guys are amazing with their long range accuracy through tight spacings and carroming/ billiards. White no slouch either just wasn't his night. And what a gorgeous table to play on to boot!
The commenters to this game are WONDERFUL. Lively, joking around, easy to listen to...they try so hard these days to be depressingly quiet and low key. YIKES.
Sid also came from Darts which is a noisy environment. I wish he was still alive.
I would have loved Davis to have won a world pool title.
He had won Mosconi Cup twice even though it's a team event

White versus Davis on a pool table is like watching a fight between two old women. As great they are in snooker, there's no way either can be considered top flight pool players

Neither one took pool seriously. Ronnie and drago are the only two who actually had a great pool game aside from snooker.
@@shayne.7770 pool features a bunch of scenarios that just aren't in snooker. expecting a snooker player to jump in and consistently beat full time pool players is unrealistic
