- What a guy! Stuart 'Ball Run' Bingham graciously welcomes Stephen into his impressive residence at Basildon for a frame and a conversation. The pair discuss Bingham's amateur snooker days, his World Championship and his encounters with some of the biggest names in snooker (Steve Davis and Jimmy White). Stuart's bespoke snooker room is decorated with accomplishments, including memorabilia from his 2015 World Snooker Championship. The high-quality table makes for high-quality snooker. Hope you enjoy it!

No wonder he's got his snooker room dedicated to his greatest achievement, he worked so hard for that for so long. Nobody can ever take it away from him. He won that title during a really awful time in my life and honestly, watching him winning the final, lifting the trophy, 'winner winner chicken dinner' and all that - gave me so much inspiration to keep my head down and keep working on getting well again. Now come on Stuart, go and get yourself that triple crown logo on the waistcoat! 😀 Great work as always Stephen, thanks for sharing these chats and frames with us.
Man up
@@Asshole88 cover 1, asshole?
@@Asshole88 Nice to meet you Mr Troll, have a lovely evening. 😀
I'm shaking my head at the previous comment, they used to say 'there's always going to one', but these days everyone is is 'one', lol. But yeah, I'm glad you pushed on through.
As a snooker fan, Bingham holds a special place in my heart; he has that indomitable spirit that I respect.
I would like this comment but can't change that number 👍
I remember sitting with my wife in the restaurant on the same square where the Crucible is situated right after that crazy semifinal between Stuart and Judd Trump. (I still remember that tremendous 3 ball plant along the cushion that brought Stuart victory). All the people in the restaurant off course were talking about snooker. And suddenly, half an hour after the end of a game, Stuart and his family come in. And everyone in the restaurant started applauding! I remember Stuart smiling and turning red, because probably he didn’t expect that. And my other memory of that moment is Stuart’s lovely little son (4-6 years of age) with a toy cue in his hand very proud of his father!
By the way, it was my first and only visit to Crucible to see snooker. I came from russia to fulfill my child dream and watch snooker live. And to meet my hero Steve Davis. I remember seeing Stephen Hendry in the hotel lobby, John Parrot during the breakfast. Together with my wife we had a glass of wine with Ken Doherty and Willie Thorn.
And finally we had the great luck to see the final session between Stuart and Judd when it finished 17-16 sitting in the second row
That was the trip of my life!
P.S.
Our VIP tickets to the semifinal included 5 pounds BETFRED tickets ))) I could bet them inside the Crucible before the final session. But there were so many people there that it was impossible to make a bet. And also, i never bet before so i didn’t really know how to do that. So we got into the main hall and started watching the game without bets. Stuart was winning 16-13 and needed only 1 frame to win, when Judd made 3 centuries in a row. And they both went to the toilet before the final frame. I jumped out of my seat, said to my wife to stay cool and ran to the hall to a BETFRED deck. I said that i want to bet on Stuart. The woman at the deck told me that i will only win 10 pounds, so i said that i bet on Stuart to win the title and ran back to my place. In few days in London i got my prize. It was 25+ pounds))))
Such a nice story (and memory)! ☺️
Yeah, great stories.
Thanks for sharing your story, it was nice reading it.
Nice! A great story!
Cool 😎
Now that’s a snooker room😍
Stuart is such a down to earth guy. He certainly hasn't let winning a world title go to his head. Another great video Stephen. 👍❤
Stuart seems like such a down to earth person i wasn't expecting that.
I am not surprised, he always seemed like a nice fella during matches.
Wasn't expecting what? Stewie has always been a top man.
@@itellyouwhy6957 Maybe because he's a very competitive guy. You never know how these guys are in private though.
@@chakko007 It's easy to assume all sort of beliefs about someone from just seeing them on TV - usually always wrong! This kind of content is great for showing that private side.
It's been a delight to see Steven interview all these top players I've watched for years and learn that they're all decent down-to-Earth people, which isn't something you find in most sports.
That room looks absolutely fantastic.
Top class. I’ve enjoyed all the guests but Stephen Hendry makes every video. Humble, knowledgable, and a natural at the interviewing game.
Yes Stephen makes every video because it's his channel 😂
As an Essex lad myself, about 15 mins down the road from Stuart, I always root for him. What a great guy
Seems like nice bloke.
As an Ealing boy myself, I am confused as to why I haven’t bumped into either of you mate!
I am Basildon born and bred, great guy Stuart he is a legend!
Could get his second 👑
Canadian lad here. Not sure why i havent bumped into yall
Lovely episode. Such nice, easy flowing conversation. Well done Stephen and Stuart.
bingham is a full powerhouse player, a remarkable potter and safety artist, definitely one of my favourite snooker players in the professional league
Stuart has been my favourite player on the circuit for years now...always looks like he is enjoying his snooker
What I love about Stuart the most, apart from his top class snooker, is that he always got a smile on his face, especially during matches.. great fela ❤
This channel is incredible, absolutely love these videos
My favourite channel on RUclips atm from my favourite snooker player of all time. Keep em coming Stephen, absolutely quality content. Bingham seems like a top bloke!
Love hearing all the old stories from Ballrun, great interview!
Fabulous guy is Stuart, had the pleasure of playing him in a few exhibitions .. hope he can find some form for the Worlds as his break building is phenomenal .. almost up there with the great S.H 😉… fab interview!
How did u get on playing him?
Lost in a singles charity frame but beat him in a doubles match where I partnered with Neil Robertson 👍
Why do you that Russell?
Both times were in exhibitions, so they were fun and not serious games
Absolutely brilliant! To team up with Robertson is a personal achievement (to me) love it! Well done 💙👊
Love the little stories and insight into their earlier careers , and the paths they've took and the people they've met as they built their earlier snooker careers
Stuart Bingham always seemed like a top lad, and indeed he is. Great interview, cheers.
Delightful. So relatively tough keeping in the loop on snooker in Canada. Used to get up at 2am to sneak out to the TV to watch Davis and Hendry when I was a kid.
Great episode Stephen,
What a free flowing conversation !.
Stuart is such a down to earth fella , I met him once at the World Championships & he was so open and happy to have a chat.
Ronnie next PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!.
I love these episodes, getting to see the real character of the players... it makes watching the old highlights and any live matches so much more engaging, feeling like you "know" the players
Great to see the snooker pros in their own environment… excellent.👍
If you want someone to score a 147, Bingham's up there with the best and when someone like Hendry says, when Bingham played in the final to win his world title, " that was proper snooker! " That's a great compliment!
Fantastic chat with two amazing players. Great channel Stephen! 👌
This has easily become my favourite RUclips channel.
Brilliant! One of the best you’ve done Mr. H
No words for how enlightening, engaging and enjoyable this was for me. For a genuine World champion to be so open about his own experiences, not having his confidence against very talented plyers who didn't end up winning their World titles, in the same era as the Snooker's tennis (O'sullivan, Williams & Higgins)... what a period to go through and he did it. Amazing!
Your channel is good for the game of snooker. Fun to watch you play and talk about the game. Getting to hear you and your guests talking about their favourite thing in the world to do is a treat. Thanks from Nova Scotia!!
Again a pleasure to watch. I wish they would film like this at tournaments. Much better sight of the shots . Feels like I am playing myself.
At tournaments they try to make it "dramatic" - lots of really intrusive close-ups of the player sitting out, to make their anguish "entertaining". I often shout at the screen "just show us the bloody table!".
Another excellent video this has very quickly become my favourite channel
Love Stuart Bingham. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
what a cracking player bingham is. balls of steel and one of the most entertaining players to watch.
I think in 2015/16 I had a frame against Stuart at Rayleigh lanes snooker where he practiced before he got the snooker room. Love the guy and a great person to be with and I’ll never forget that match
Another quality video , Stephen i think you have found your vocation in life , producing brilliant video's !
That table yes please ❤
Always remember watching Stuarts win in '15, like Stephen I can't say I 'fancied' him from the off! But his performance was spectacular all the way, and by the final it was an easy choice to support him. Almost the Joe Johnson of the 2010's. Such a nice guy, great conversation.
I find these interviews to be very insightful and honest in a sort of laid back way. Good job Stephen.
What an incredible channel this is! i’ve got into snooker around 6 months ago and just from watching your videos alone, i’ve seen so much improvement in myself so quickly. Plus getting insight into the professional game is so interesting! Love it.
Top bloke. This channel just keeps getting better, best snooker content there is.
What a lovely chap! I didn't like him till I got to know him better, now he's one of my favs.
When he mentioned Leigh-on-Sea my ears pricked up - my home town!
In this uniquely gentlaman sport, it's nice to watch the balance between the conversation and the game. As well, of course, as listening to the experienced players that you are, conversing about events and techniques etc. Nice!
Some genuine warmth on show in these videos, icing on the very nice cake 👍🙏
great respect for both Hendry and Davis who saved up all their personality to share with us post-career
Based
These shows go so quickly. Brilliant content . 👍😎
We are proud of stuart in basildon. Top man
My mum worked with his mum for years
these videos are genuinely so good. could really help getting people into the game. im young and my brother and i have started playing. go to the club and there are young kids talking about this channel, its fantastic.
Stephen you need to do more of these 'In house' videos with players.
Nice win there stephen love Bingham his game is amazing love watching him play can't wait for the world
Nice to get a insight into Stuart's life, until now I didn't have a clue what he was like as a person, he seem like a decent bloke. Love how the format of these videos being in the comfort of a their homes or a small studio really helps to let the guests relax and show a side you might not otherwise see. This channel is a gem Stephen. 👍
That was superb... Absolutely loved that...
I always liked Stuart Bingham. He seems like a nice down to earth bloke. Love the snooker room too, and once again Stephen's video was extremely enjoyable!
Been watching your videos since day one. And listened carefully, thank you for such amazing content. Keep up the hard work it's helping my game 😅
One of my favourite players to watch, always hits the ball so well.
Really nice to hear about Stuart, a darn fine player so he be
Brilliant! I'm not even a real snooker fan but loved the free flowing conversation. Kindest regards, Richard U.K
By far my most favourite snooker room we've seen on the channel so far! I bet that room is super comfy at night with just the light of the table and the TV on....I could practice all day in there! What a lucky guy Stewart is, he's earned every bit of it.
Good luck this year🎱
Class snooker room, another great interview with ball run, i memba seeing stuart at prestatyn many years ago at a pro am hes a nice man, all the best for the new season
Fantastic room. Two great people,. Two amazing world champions. Love watching all the different people you play but I do enjoy the conversation.👍
Love these Videos!! Look forward to new ones all the time great to see players relaxed and different side to them
What a fantastic room to play this wonderful game. Another top episode. Looking forward to the next one. Love the fact that one week it's say a footballer then it's a snooker legend week after. Would love to see my hero Alan Shearer play against my all time favorite snooker player. Any chance of that Steven?. Keep up the great work on my favorite channel at the moment.
Stewart has been one of my favourite players since I watched him at the Crucible. He interacts with the crowd, nice to see. Stephen playing well here, looks more fluid, hope he can carry that into next season.
This content is amazing, well done Stephen,Stuart and the editor/cameraman.
From someone who doesnt even follow snooker, this channel is great. I can only imagine how the snooker lovers are over the moon.
Stuart is always smiling, seems like a very nice and humble guy. You should have him on again Steven.
Stuart seems a great lad and I like watching him play. Hopefully he does well in the worlds.
What a fabulous episode that was... more content like this!
Incredible as always Stephen
Great stuff! Bingham plays tje game properly. Top bloke. Class act!

Really enjoying these videos. 👍🏻
Great channel, Stuart’s got a great personality, well done to you both. Love the snooker room.
Absolute legend. Kindest guy I've ever met.
Loved watching this and hearing about Vic Harris again. Never knew that Stuart worked at The Edwardian Club in Leigh on Sea.
Love this channel to bits. Well done Hendry ❤
What a pleasure to see these two fine players demonstrating the true joy of sport: "a friendly" in which the spark of competition animates pleasant conversation.
*Great* episode. Such content will do a lot to promote the game too.
Stuart Bingham has a razor sharp memory does he not? Think he loves playing too much to commentate, but some a that Essex would do me nicely
Cue tips and Hendry is pure gold.
All credit to the man, what a cracking room
Bingham class win vs Ronnie. Gutted but maximum respect to you Sir, you're a player and a half.
both legends!!!
Always liked Stuart funny guy on and off the table and just a generally great guy ❤
Half an hour is honestly not long enough for these videos. Hope you end up going back and doing a second round with some of the pros.
Hope Stephen has a frame with the old pros from the past before it's too late, like Terry, Ray,Virgo and so..
Top man is Bingham would love to see him back to his best loved the way hes played in 2015.
Really enjoyed that, thank you. ❤
I like Stuart Bingham seems like a really nice guy! And hendry is a star!
Always comes across like a lovely bloke I was delighted when he won the championship 🍺
Stuart is a lovely man and a great player. He doesn’t get the credit he deserves.
well done stephen for clearing up! great shots
He's a tidy bloke Bingham. Hope he goes well at the worlds. Cracking snooker room that too. Would be a dream to have something like that at the bottom of my garden.
Great episode as always. Really enjoying watching them after recently trying to get into snooker to watch the skill is top class. Would love to see Ronnie on a episode
AYYY my favourite snooker youtuber uploaded!!!!
brilliant again, thank you
Love these videos, keep them coming please😁
Excellent watch 👍
Speaking of money matches, Cliff Thorburn was making a living in Canada for several years as a snooker "hustler." He only got involved in "professional" snooker tournaments after getting an opportunity to play then champion John Spencer in an exhibition match when Spencer made a tour through Canada, after which John invited Cliff to come to England. Cliff's legends included playing for 6 months at Seymour Billiards in Vancouver, taking on all comers for $50/point back in the late 1960s, often having to spot players 60 points to get them on the table with him.
