I LOVE that they did a Spring collection inspired by Persephone, the Greek goddess of the underworld who is also the bringer of Spring. So perfect! Also, I JUST named my new car Persephone... so obviously it means I need all of these shades!

There’s not often a green polish that I like but Devils Ivy is so pretty! Petals for a Narcissist is gorgeous too but Lovebomb is my fave. The thermal is the first one that’s ever interested me. Except for the two similar greens I love the collection! Thanks for the swatch & review Kelli!

I like garden of evil too. Unique. To me it screams Scooby-Doo ;) so also think it's a good Halloween color

I cannot even pick a favorite here! The thermal is so awesome and lovely. I agree with you-love the whole color story and how they all seem to go together! So unexpected for a spring release and I just love them. Watching you build up that Freshly Bitten was amazing! How gorgeous!
The sage magnetic is my fav. There's something about magentics especially green polishes that call my name. I am sorry to see that Firewall is sold out. Glad I have a backup

Is Petals for a narcissist going to make me more pale? it's so pretty but it might.....now that I know you understand my problem with some of the pastels, I figured I could ask! Also - I am LOVING the shimmer on the colors!

Ohhh you are gonna love it! I will warn you it's a bit thicker than the usual Mooncat formula but it's still really workable and a great intro to the brand!

In the mooncat post I liked freshly bitten best, but now in this video I think devils ivy or trouble with immortality are my favorites! ✨

Garden of Evil is how i always wanted Rescue Beauty Lounge Halcyon to look on the nail! I may have to get this one! Also, i think Freshly Bitten looks similar to OPI The One That Got Away

That thermal is their first and watching how sensitive it is in swatching makes me excited that we'll see more thermals from Mooncat in the future. The succulent colors won't look good on me, but I love all the rest of them, especially Devi's Ivy. I'm excited about the pomegranate color after pomegranate seeds, which was beautiful but the color was perplexing. You should try some of those sports again now that you can breathe through your nose. I love water jogging instead of swimming. It's a great way to get in cardio without putting stress on your joints. I can go hard after time off and still move the next day!
I bought Freshly Bitten and Devil's Ivy this morning already, and your swatches are always so much better than the websites! Which is saying a lot because Mooncat has pretty thorough and decent swatches. Seeing it under your lighting though - I can't wait!

Ooh, Freshly Bitten is so beautiful! Good call on that last coat. I tried a bunch of different sports when I was a kid, too-softball, soccer, volleyball-before I finally figured out that I was afraid of being hit by a ball. So, I switched to gymnastics and stuck with it through high school. I was fine throwing myself backwards on a beam 4-inches wide and four feet off the ground, but god forbid someone toss me a volleyball . . .
I was up at 7am MT for a horrific four hour dentist appointment today. As I was sitting there panicking, I realised that this release was at 9 ET today. I logged in and got Love Bomb, Freshly Bitten, and Queen of the Dead. It made the day a little better! Haha. I'm sure in time I'll get the rest, but the whole kit was almost $200 Canadian so I figured I'd just get my favourites at first. 😊. Edited to add: I played competitive Roller Derby from 50 to 56. I'm 58 now and miss it but my body sure doesn't. 😂

I also tried and was terrible at a bunch of sports growing up/ into high school! I played tennis every summer, I played a little soccer and a little basketball. I also ran track (sprinting AND long distance) and cross country in high school. Cross country was my favorite of all, but, again, I was terrible 😅😂

Mooncat comes up with the most interesting polishes. I also love how they do several purple and green polishes throughout. Those are my favs. That is a very opace thermal. I think Too All Who Ghosted Me might be my favorite but barely ahead of all the rest. Love this collection. I was very non sporty but loved playing volley ball for fun. Art has always been my thing.

First time I stalked the web site to buy the whole set when it released LOL. Loved seeing them swatched. Thank you. I think this was the most incredible ad campaign for this set. So passionate and beautiful.Very inspiring!
I gasped at Garden of Evil. I don’t normally go for chartreuse shades of green but with that shimmer it’s just stunning. And I am OBSESSED with this collection. I don’t often buy full collections and have scaled back my polish buying a lot. But I am so tempted by this whole collection. I love the theme. Freshly Bitten also gives me pomegranate.
Like you I did a surprising number of sports as a kid for someone who is very unsporty as an adult. I was in soccer a few summers when I was young and really enjoyed that. I played defence cause even then I hated running and wasn’t super good at aiming but just getting in the way and getting the ball away from our net I could do. I liked badminton. I did some cross country skiing and loved that. There was a year of gymnastics when I was little. I even played intramural basketball which surprised even me now. Intramural volleyball too. The one that I enjoy the most and have really stuck with, but I never really think of as a sport, is karate. I started when I was 7 and have been doing it on and off ever since. Sadly my class hasn’t started back up since we shut down for covid. I miss it so much.
I saw the notification about this collection from Mooncat at the same time as I saw this video posting, absolutely perfect timing to see the colors "live"! Goodness help me I want this entire collection, but have so little room in my 4 tier case 🤣! Cirque Colors has a thermal red polish that works really well for all nail lengths also, but if you naturally run warm and don't have longer nails the thermal effect doesn't show as much or at all in some cases. Also if it's warm out that will also make a difference in how the thermal effect works no matter if you are naturally warm or not. Unfortunately I've seen bad reviews because it's not the polish that's not working but the reviewer being warm blooded.
Hi Kelli, This collection is def different than the norm spring colors. I love Queen of the Dead, thermal colors are so fun, and this one looks like amazing quality. Love Bomb is a pretty one, and surprisingly Devil's Ivy too!. Not a sporty girl here, LOL. Have to tell you again~ you're looking fantastic, and I hope all is going well with you. 💌

I did track growing up. I was a sprinter and loved the 4x1 relays the most. As an adult, I continued to run and found a love for distance running. Unfortunately, I haven’t run since I gave birth to my kiddo because of pelvic floor issues. I hope to do physical therapy when I get more time; I’d love to get back to it.
I picked up several shades on your recommendation and absolutely love them. There was an issue with one bottle and their cs was super nice, fixed it same day. Definitely impressed.

Right off the bat Devil's Ivy I fell in love with. It's gorgeous unmagnetized, but when you magnetized it I was like yup I NEED it. Other favorites are To All Who Ghosted Me, The Trouble with Immortality and Garden of Evil. Also I have to agree with the person who said that your videos are therapeutic. I tend to subscribe to people who bring me total calmness and you're one of my favorite people ❤

Let me tell you I was not ready for this collection!! Especially Petal for a Narcissist. That one just blew my socks off. I never go for pale gray almost white colors. Never. That one... that one is stunning!!!

great video! I was a competitive swimmer from age 8, ended up doing it for 12 years but hated the first 3. then it became my life. My dad didnt make me but he said he'd be "very disappointed" if i didnt stick it out. that did the trick and i ended up loving it hahaha
I really like Freshly Bitten and the Trouble with Immortality. The Trouble with Immortality just looks so shiny and sparkly and I’m here for it. In regards to your gun fact, I used to be on a swim team when I was a kid. I was never fast but it did get me very comfortable in the water and I can swim pretty far and for long periods of time do I’m glad I did it.
I definitely want to get better at swimming, I know it's SO good for your body!!

I love that thermal! I used to buy thermals all the time. I know they used to have an expiration on them, will need to see if that is still the case. This is gorgeous collection.
I'm so curious to see how long the thermal pigment lasts for this brand because other brands seem to vary wildly!
@@KelliMarissa I looked it up on the website and did not see that it said anything. I'm going to give it a try. The expiration was the only down side of thermals. You need to a thermal polish review 😁 and if you did, and I missed it. Oops.

It's definitely different from what I would have expected but truly the colors are STUNNING!
The way the lighting keeps showing one pink highlight and one purple-blue one across each swatch makes me think of Persephone and Hades either side of the nail haha. I'm in LOVE with freshly bitten and Petals for a Narcissist

This is one of those collections where the more I look at it, the more I fall in love with it. I can't wait to get my hands on all of the ones with the different colored shimmer! On a side note, Im just wrapping up Scarlett St. Clair's Touch of Darkness series which is a Hades and Persephone saga (each book alternates the pov from Perse to Hades,) and these colors are exactly what I imagine through the books descriptions. They're just so fitting. I would lose my mind if she did another collection with a focus on Hades to contrast this one. ❤

Lots of cute polishes. Not all, but most are colors I love.
Question of the day: I actually trained for Olympics-level gymnastics. Until I shattered my ankle, tibia and fibula doing hand springs, only a month before the US Nationals. Worse, the bones didn't set right, so everything had to be re-broken, and I had to start all over with the healing. Never could get back up to competition level again after that.
At that level, your whole life revolves around the sport. Got up at 4 a.m. to run (for stamina) and lift weights (strength training of course). This was back before there were gyms everywhere, so I had to work out with grown men for the weights, and run around the local school's track. After school, I not only had gymnastics training, but also had ballet & tap (for the floor exercises and improve my balance). At the end of every day, I threw in swimming, because it worked wonders for breath control. Which you need in gymnastics more than most people would think. Plus, it cooled me off and helped me unwind at the end of the day.
And I did all of that EVERY.
SINGLE.
DAY.
I got home most evenings after 8:30. I didn't do much homework, but it was okay because I tested well. So I didn't flunk, LOL, but I wasn't a teacher's favourite, that's for sure. I was v dangerous at gym class, though, because I was so fit. Sometimes, the gym teachers wouldn't let me take part in class activities because I tended to dominate everyone else at whatever a class was about and the other kids found that annoying or demoralizing. It was better for me to do some homework or read a book, rather than stir up resentments and hurt feelings. Most of my friends were guys, because I had so little in common with other girls. 50 years on, and I'm still not clear on what primary-school girls DO when they hang out. I completely missed out on all of that because I had zero time for any of it.
I was like you and did everything- swimming, t-ball, soccer, ballet, gymnastics, softball, cross country- but swimming and softball stuck throughout high school!
I do wish I had tried running when I was younger, I'd probably be a lot more athletic now LOL!
