Another tip I've heard if you keep bumping your nail into the magnet, is to stick the other end to the metal lid of a candle (or anything metal of a similar height). That way the magnet stays in place and you just hold your finger under it rather than having to hold the wand yourself as well as keeping your nail still. If it's a small candle/magnet stand, you might even be able to leave your finger flat on the table and that way nothing is moving. That has helped me get a stronger cat eye line!
Tip! If you buy those big flat effect magnets from any vendor and it doesn’t work or look like the graphic, unwrap the tape and flip the magnet to the other side, then tape it back up. Test it on your polish bottle. These so commonly accidentally were assembled with the magnets flipped the wrong way and it really makes a difference! They can also get mislabeled and you have to switch the wrapping 😅

Someone I follow on IG (I forget who) realized that you can do the velvet/aura effect if you put your finger in the middle of two magnets that are side by side.. if that makes sense. Like two magnetic wands with the rectangle sides next to each other (not stacked) and then you put your finger over the place where the two wands are touching. That's become my favorite way to do the velvet style! For cat eye, I stick my wand/magnet on my desk lamp and slide my finger underneath so I make sure I don't bonk the polish (like the KB Shimmer stand, but it's just my lamp lol). I'm not a French tip kind of person, but I've seen people use the round side of a magnetic wand to push the shimmer to the edge of their nail in a French-ish style. Thank you for mentioning the shortcut of painting nails one coat of black nail polish first. My sister told me it makes a big difference when she paints the magnetic nail polish on top of it.
I use magnetics a lot. If you use no.4 with a green magnetic polish and centre the stick, it gives off a nice leafy forest look. I use the pattern magnets to give a 3d base to stamping art too.

We are all now using the 30-lb U-shaped magnet to get the velvet effect. Could you please do a video with how to best use this? There's a lot of nail community talk around this. Thanks in advance!
This is the first video I’ve ever seen of you & I love how clear you are with your explanations. It’s very helpful & you jump right into it & even add captions for things. It’s great! & you’re very pretty
Kelli, Thanks so much for this video. So kind + thoughtful of you for making this video for people like me that don't have any experience with magnetic nail polishes. I recently bought a set of 6 magnetic nail polishes that came with the magnet. I'm looking forward to using them. Thanks to your tutorial + a little practice, I should be able to get the cats eye design that I want. Thanks again! 🥰
Thanks so much! This was helpful because I was just getting my “wish list” together and was including some magnetic polishes since I don’t have any yet. I appreciate all the 101 videos. 👏 I prefer to talk if the conversation is longer than a few quick texts. It’s always better to hear someone’s voice.
Having just placed my 1st mooncat order (using the lunar sale 20% off code), I’m so stoked to watch this! These will be my first magnetic polishes so your timing is perfect. Thank you!
I love magnetic polishes. I did kind of struggle with them at first but what I do is I actually magnetize all three coats. I have a shaky hand so I just do one nail at a time and set my magnet on a hard surface magnet side up and then put my finger on top of that and then paint a coat, let it dry a bit, then another coat and then the third coat. I just keep my nail on the magnet the whole time. It takes awhile but it seems to work pretty well for me.
This is a great video!!! I love seeing all the shapes, that’s really cool! One tip I’ve seen is using multiple wands at once (mostly relevant if you’re using the under-the-finger trick) but one thing I found is you have to be consistent when doing that because the magnets might have different polarizations, so sometimes I would undo the magnetization of a previous layer when I use a different magnet!
This might be a stupid question, but can you do the all ten nails for the first two coats and then do one nail at time when it comes to the third coat that you plan to magnetize? Love your videos!
Yes magnetics! I have been so curious of those weird sets of magnets. They actually worked way better than I thought they would. Thank you for showing each of them! I can't seem to get the round side to work well on my nails either. My nails are longer, but I think to narrow? I usually text people, but certain times I will call them. For example if I am last minute seeing if someone wants to go somewhere with me, I will give them a call to try and get a quicker answer. I also call my grandparents and mother all the time 🤣 Our family was always a call when you get home type.
Kelli, thanks so much for this video! I just bought a magnetic polish and magnet and haven't tried them yet. So timely! Thanks, too, for all the helpful information.
Ah great video thanks Kelli So I've solved a couple of my issues, I wasn't doing each nail separately so that would explain why it wasn't holding or magnetising the top coat, so I'll be trying that now and I'm sure it will look so much better, thanks again 👍xx
I think the special magnets are supposed to be used with the design part facing up so you can see where the design is going to be! (14:51) Also quick life hack: paint the magnetic wands with magnetic polish so you will always know what the design looks like! (16:24)
What an awesome deep dive on magnetics! I’ve been pretty lucky with my small amount of experience working with magnetic polish. I’ve noticed that not all magnets are created equal, so using a strong magnet will work much better. I’m very intrigued by the magnet pack you demo’d, candy cane nails would be so fun! Thanks as always for sharing your wisdom. You’ve inspired me to try the aura technique.
I was just thinking, it might be even more fun to do a red base and then do a silver magnetic like Amulet over it with diagonal stripes! Instant candy cane manicure!
Magnetic is one of my favorite formulas! I keep grabbing Cadillacquer magnetics in PPU and OMG. Stunning. Also love the idea of pulling the pigment up in the bottle before the shake. I prefer texts over phone calls any day. 😅
What's worked for me is using 2 magnets. One underneath and the other hovered on top. It requires a bit of finger strength to prevent the magnets from snapping together but play around with it and you can usually find a position that works. I hold it for at least 1-2mins (even longer if I can bear it). Essentially you want it to start drying. I like it to be touch dry before I take the magnets away. I do it again for the top coat. Generally I do this for every coat. The first coat generally dries faster (so I hold the magnet for a shorter time) as it's a thinner coat.
Thank you for this video! Super helpful & I had no idea there was fancy magnet shapes! My current magnetic mani (menchie cat eye) went pretty well, but I can definitely improve my technique. I was magnetizing every coat which was pretty time consuming, so I’m looking forward to utilizing your tips. Thank you!
Yeah I definitely have a quicker time just magnetizing the top coat, and I think it looks just as good!! 😋 (Edit: I should say top LAYER, and top coat haha)
Same, no matter how long I hold the magnet, both as I'm painting and over the top coat, even of I come back and redo the magnet in like 10 minute increments until the polish is fully dry, the lines are still dispersed by the next day lol idk it just doesn't like me for some reason, maybe it's telling me to try the aura style haha
For some polishes, even if the top is dry, it can take hours for the full amount of polish to set up. Obviously we can't sit there for hours holding a magnet. I'll sometimes rig up a little contraption using blue poster sticky tack so I can just keep my finger on the table under it. Then I magnetize a bit longer, and after top coat keep it there for several minutes. It still disperses some, I haven't found a non gel magnetic polish that holds that perfect design.
Could be the top coat, could also just be a polish with a weak magnetic effect. I personally recommend ilnp, heard cirque colors magnetics are pretty good as well
Kelli thank you for all helpful tips on this subject matter. I am new to this and I am trying to learn as much as possible for my daughter. See my daughter is 8 years old and like her nails to be done and I am a one income base household. Plus, I just picked up UV resin art last month so with that the craft can used gel polish in the backgrounds if the artist likes to use it. So I'm just trying to learn something I didn't learn when in my teens lol.
Thank you for posting this Kelli!! I have many magentic nail polishes in my collection. Some polishes seem to work better than others. I have an ILNP called Sandbar that barely looks like it magnetized so i am going to go back and try again after watching this. Thank you!!!!!!! ❤🎉
I do think that ILNP's first few polishes were much more subtle in terms of magnetic pigment, so if it's one of their earlier ones it might just be less magnetic 😅 but their new ones are truly amazing imo!!
I have just bought some magnetic nail polish and the wands you featured. Your tips video are brilliant cant wait until they arrive. Keep up the great work 😊
I love the magnet shapes! I also have a flower looking shape that's like the pen and it creates cute little starbursts. I bought some awhile ago too and I must say that I've found working with gel magnet polishes are WAY easier! You can continually work on it without the risk of it drying and the lines tend to be and stay sharper so I've found but that's just me, I have such a hard time with regular magnetic polish! 😭 But part of it could be differences in quality between brands too.
Ooh yeah magnetic gels are great for taking your time! Honestly using gels really helped me learn how to master regular magnetic polish because it helped me learn how to work quickly (and still giving myself time for mistakes while I practiced with gels haha!)
Ive been using the magnet at the bottom of nendoroid doll stands to magnitize my nails. I held it up to the bottle to see if it worked and it did, but it never really worked on my fingers, worked fine on my toes tho. After watching this video im starting to wonder if the problem was just me not holding the magnet over my nail long enough lol. Im going to try again when i get off work lol. Ok i actually think the real problem is that the stand magnets are round. The magnet attatched to the stands arent that much larger than my finger nails so i think thats why they work better on my toes than in my fingers. I ordered a bar magnet tho and hopefully thatll help me get better at applying the effect. Thanks for all the knowledge!
Do you do gel polish videos? I have been doing my own nails for eight months using extension gel and full tips and gel polish. I do struggle with cat eye so your tips are great. Do these tips hold good for gel polish as well? I do gel polish because I can cure it under a UV lamp and I don’t have to wait for it to dry. I hope you still look at comments on your older videos. You did a lovely job with these!
Great video!!!! Would love so tips on gel magnetic manicures. I find it more difficult since I feel I hace to cure each nail separately. So tips would be much appreciated.
I have magnetics from ILNP, Clionadh, and Bluebird Laquer. All beautiful but the Bluebird fades in a few hours. ILNP "Amber" is my longest lasting magnetic. The Clionadh slickadelic collection is just gorgeous beyond comparison.
@@KelliMarissa Oh you need to! You would have loved Clionadh's halloween minis collection. It was still available on sale (discounted) the other day so I'd grab that if you see it. My faves from it are Essence of Toad & Pumpkin Guts. Each polish in the set has a different finish and there's a little pack of halloween themed glitters you can add on top. And the box is just adorable! Plus the slickadelics are incredible looking. I've only tried them as swatches on my silicone mat so far but they're very pretty. And I'm loving the ones I got from their Mixology collections too.
I love Clionadh’s lacquer’s, but I still haven’t tried their Slickadelics because I accidentally forgot to order the shade I had on my wishlist during their summer sale. I didn’t forget that magnetic wand though and it’s the only one I own that I use with my other magnetic polishes, but I just don’t find it to be very strong. Do you own that wand too and enjoy it or does it just work best with Clionadh magnetics instead?
I've only had magnetized nails once a few years ago. Back when I use to go to the salon and get tips. I've been wanting to try magnetic polish on my own for a while, one day when my nails grow back I will get some. Answer to your fun fact question: I used to prefer calling but as I've gotten older I prefer to text. I'll occasionally talk to certain people on the phone but other than that texting is my jam.
I have some shape magnets as well. Some work, some don't. But I love playing around with them. I bought a different set a few years ago and the wands look more traditional. There's a lot of nail art products out there. I do so love being a girl and doing my nails. 😊
Your makeup always looks so pretty. I wish i 1. Had the skills to do such pretty make up and 2. Wish I could find makeup that showed up as nicely on my skin.
I’m really digging these 101 videos again!! I think seeing how you work with the Amazon magnets for instance helps so much! I always see them but never knew if they would really work! I’m also curious about those long barrel magnets I’ve seen. Have you tried tide for the aura or velvet look? I’ve read it works better. I’ve also read that using regular topcoat instead of quick dry works better with magnetic polishes. What are your thoughts? Thanks for sharing as usual! I’m slowly getting back to feeling better and trying to catch up on all the videos I’ve missed! Love you!! ❤😅💅
I use that sticky blue poster stuff and attach the wand to a bottle cap; similar to that little stand, but free, and I can switch out the magnet if I want to.
I keep struggling with Cirque Colors’ Draco. I bought OPI quick drying drops and got a beautiful manicure with Lyra atop Groove Thing that lasted-didn’t settle and disappear overnight. But Draco settled overnight. The difference between the two was that for Draco, I did the under the finger method since my hands have been weaker lately and I bumped it when I did the hover method, so switched to under-finger. Since it settled, after all my nails chipped, I removed two and repainted using the stronger neodymium magnet taped to a pencil for stability. Still had settled and disappeared the next morning. I was going to reattempt the hover method since it’s been over a week and my hands might be steadier now. My magnet stands are coming in the mail! Fingers crossed. I have always done your magnetic method since I first heard you explain it and I got my first magnetic (Lyra), except if I have enough time and want a sharper look, I magnetize every coat. 🙏🏾
Great video! I have yet to try any magnetic polish, let alone a magnetic mani. However, this gives me some inspiration to actually try this! Thank you! I love the Amazon magnet kit too! I have bigger nail beds and tend to keep my nails on the longer side. Looking forward to trying this.
Thank you! This is right on time for me as I have never used a magnetic polish but have recently decided that I want to try. Would you suggest not using a quick dry top coat when magnetizing? As for the texting vs calling, yes definitely depends on the 'who' and it depends on what's going on with me at the time. Life is always 'life-ing' so sometimes a call just isn't convenient.
You can definitely use a quick dry top coat, just make sure you hover the magnet over it while that coat dries as well! You're gonna have a lot of fun playing with magnetics 🥰
This is such a needed magnetic polish 101. Like I’ve mentioned I’ve seen reviews on amazing brands saying it didn’t stay magnetized and I think some was people just not really knowing what to do. I love & appreciate your reviews overall, swatches and nail polish 101 videos…thanks bunches 💜💅🏻 I was born in 79 and kinda prefer calling friends and loved ones bc I think texting and messaging can sometimes (at least for me) get misunderstood. Plus I grew up calling all my friends and loved ones growing up. Now if I just want to shoot a quick question, check in on someone or let them know I’m On my way etc. I prefer texting. If I’m having a conversation if the person doesn’t like talking on the phone then I’ll voice memo them. So growing up with phones ☎️ and I live in chronic pain do sometimes I can’t text or message bc it hurts. I agree it depends who you’re talking to. Great question 🙋🏻♀️
Some of those special shapes really only work with gel magnetics. Next time I make an order from KBShimmer, I might get the stand. Right now I just use one of the little stands I use for painting press ons or swatch sticks, which are plastic wall hooks from Dollar Tree.
Someone on yhe internet came up with the best hack for the velvet effect. They placed a bar magnet (like the FUN Laquer one) between two magnet wands. It made the perfect little area to place the finger and the effect was gorgeous.
Great video, I just bought a magnet kit from Temu and was not really sure how to use them. I am going to try and use them with mettalic paint on car models, and my grand daughters nails. What is a good but inexpensive base and top coat I can buy to get started with? I am going to have to practice alot before I try it out on a model. Thanks and take care. I'll check out some of your other video's when I have time.
Great video; thank you. However, when you do two coats of the magnetic color for opacity, are you curing with a light after each coat? When you do the final magnetic coat and use the magnet, are you curing with the light and then doing a top coat with light? I understood the process with the magnetic, but was confused about the steps for the regular gel mani process.
I love magnetics but i just dont feel like doing the work sometimes. I have only purchased from starrily and they magnetize pretty well. I also have that amazon magnetics set and if your practice Kelli the sunburst is quite beautiful on the gold starrily magnetic (i forgot what planet it its) this is has inspired me to use my polishes now. Thank you for this video!
Thank you! My first magnetic polish is in the mail. I have some super strong magnets that have hooks on them to hang things. They are round, a little larger than a quarter. Do you think this would work for the velvet style?
I have the amazon. magnet set, I do love the variety. I think it definitely depends on who. In a general sense texting, but if I have a lot to say calling is a must.
Yeah I guess thats my answer too lol! I love to call people I know well but if it's just a quick message or someone I'm not comfortable with, I'll just shoot a text lol
Thank you for this. I love magnetic polish but it’s too much work to do often. So any tips help.. Something I can’t find, and something you probably can’t help with, but I need a 101 video on painting almond(ish) nails! I can never get the angle right going down the free edge and I end up with a blunt angle.. if that makes sense. They look great naked but not as great with polish. I just don’t like square shape with my fingers 🙁 but they’re easier to paint.

This is the first video I’ve ever seen of you & I love how clear you are with your explanations. It’s very helpful & you jump right into it & even add captions for things. It’s great! & you’re very pretty
I just got my 1st magnetic nail polish in the mail right before I saw this video - so timely!! Thank you!
Ooh that's great timing haha! I hope you have fun using it, magnetics are so great!!
I prefer to talk if the conversation is longer than a few quick texts. It’s always better to hear someone’s voice.
Yay I'm glad you enjoyed! You'll have a lot of fun once you try magnets for the first time, it really can be a rabbit hole with experimenting haha!
Ooh, I'm going to have to get a set of shaped magnets like that! My magnetics are all gels, so I have more wiggle room on adjusting the patterns.
Ooh yeah gels are such a great way to get the perfect magnetic look!!
Having just placed my 1st mooncat order (using the lunar sale 20% off code), I’m so stoked to watch this! These will be my first magnetic polishes so your timing is perfect. Thank you!
Ooh yes Mooncat does really amazing magnetics, you'll love em!!!
Those are great tips imo! I know a lot of people have success magnetizing each coat. I don't know why it never works for me haha!
Ooh yeah that makes sense haha!
This might be a stupid question, but can you do the all ten nails for the first two coats and then do one nail at time when it comes to the third coat that you plan to magnetize? Love your videos!
Not a stupid question at all and yes! That's actually usually how I do it, sorry I didn't specify that haha 😅😅
OMG! The horizontal strips are sooooo cool and the diagonal. OMG!!
My two faves as well, I can imagine so many cool manis with them!! Especially with some of those funky KBShimmer magnetics haha
Kelli, thanks so much for this video! I just bought a magnetic polish and magnet and haven't tried them yet. So timely! Thanks, too, for all the helpful information.
Ah great video thanks Kelli
So I've solved a couple of my issues, I wasn't doing each nail separately so that would explain why it wasn't holding or magnetising the top coat, so I'll be trying that now and I'm sure it will look so much better, thanks again 👍xx
Thanks for the video! It definitely helps a very new beginner! But... What brand/color is your eyeshadow?!
Thanks so much for this video! The magnet set is pretty cool. I want to shop for some myself.
Ooh let me know if you find any other funky patterns! I want more haha!!
I think the special magnets are supposed to be used with the design part facing up so you can see where the design is going to be! (14:51) Also quick life hack: paint the magnetic wands with magnetic polish so you will always know what the design looks like! (16:24)
The magnets have a little lip on them for resting on your finger so I believe they're meant to be used like regular nail magnets!!
@@KelliMarissathey might still work in both directions, it might be worth trying ❤ and the second tip I mentioned could still be useful!
Kelli this was a great and very informative video! I appreciate how thorough you were with the steps🥰
Ahh thank you so much! I always love doing the 101 videos because it gives me a chance to really go on and on about something hahaha
This is incredibly helpful and SO thorough! Thank you!
So happy you enjoyed it 🥰🥰
That magnet kit that you bought and tested was SO SICK!!! I loved it! I’m gonna ask for it for Christmas.
It really is so fun. I'm imagining perfect holiday manicures with those stripes!!
Just bought my first magnetic polishes and I'm so excited for velvet nails!!
Ohh you're gonna have so much fun playing around!!!
You’ve convinced me I need to add Amulet to my wish list! Haha I’m gonna try this!
Very useful video. I absolutely love using magnetic polishes.
Magnetic is one of my favorite formulas! I keep grabbing Cadillacquer magnetics in PPU and OMG. Stunning. Also love the idea of pulling the pigment up in the bottle before the shake. I prefer texts over phone calls any day. 😅
Ooh I am trying to think if I've used a Cadillacquer magnetic but my mind is blanking!!
Thank you so much! perfect timing! I just bought my first magnetic polishes! I didn’t understand the aura style before you explained it.
Oh yay good timing haha! I hope you have fun playing with the magnetics!!
Thank you so much for a very descriptive lesson I've been working with magnetic polish for years, But this was a very helpful video Thank you!
Oh yay I'm so glad you found it helpful!!
Ugh! I can never get magnetic to work no matter what advice u follow. 24 hours later it has disappeared. Hopeful some of this will help.😊
Ahh hope this helps!! 🤞🤞
SAME
Same, no matter how long I hold the magnet, both as I'm painting and over the top coat, even of I come back and redo the magnet in like 10 minute increments until the polish is fully dry, the lines are still dispersed by the next day lol idk it just doesn't like me for some reason, maybe it's telling me to try the aura style haha
Justv discovered you and i love the detail and camera quality. Also love that your eye makeup complements your nails ❤
Oh gosh thank you so much! 🥰❤️ And welcome to my channel!!
I definitely prefer calling !
I love magnetic polishes, just can’t wait until I can use it again, hopefully in a few more weeks! 💜
Keep up the great work 😊
Thanks for the tips…I have trouble with magnetic polish….will try shaking it. Bought the magnets. Looking forward to playing around with it.
Ooh I hope you get a successful magnetic mani!! ❤️
Magnet 4 gave a flame look. Very cool!
Ooh yeah!!
Honestly using gels really helped me learn how to master regular magnetic polish because it helped me learn how to work quickly (and still giving myself time for mistakes while I practiced with gels haha!)
love your make up omg! especially the eyebrows!!!
I love this eye look!
Oh thank you so much!
The magnets that come with the polish are so strong, I almost jumped when two of the holo taco ones slammed together. 😅
Oh gosh yes it's scary when that happens LOL! Or when it flies across the desk to stick to a lamp or something hahaha
Hi, thanks for this video, now I have a better understanding, I need to buy the colored magnetic gel asap to experiment
Glad it was helpful! ❤️
I have magnetics from ILNP, Clionadh, and Bluebird Laquer.
All beautiful but the Bluebird fades in a few hours. ILNP "Amber" is my longest lasting magnetic. The Clionadh slickadelic collection is just gorgeous beyond comparison.
Ooh I still havent tried Clionadh or Bluebird!
There's just so much fun stuff in the nail polish world to discover haha!
Your makeup always looks so pretty. I wish i 1. Had the skills to do such pretty make up and 2. Wish I could find makeup that showed up as nicely on my skin.

Best video for beginners to this topic
I’m really digging these 101 videos again!! I think seeing how you work with the Amazon magnets for instance helps so much! I always see them but never knew if they would really work! I’m also curious about those long barrel magnets I’ve seen. Have you tried tide for the aura or velvet look? I’ve read it works better. I’ve also read that using regular topcoat instead of quick dry works better with magnetic polishes. What are your thoughts? Thanks for sharing as usual! I’m slowly getting back to feeling better and trying to catch up on all the videos I’ve missed! Love you!! ❤😅💅
Great Nails 101. Much appreciated.
This is very informative and will try some of your tips to get my one problem child magnetic polish to work better.
Yay I'm glad you enjoyed! I hope it helps 😄
I use that sticky blue poster stuff and attach the wand to a bottle cap; similar to that little stand, but free, and I can switch out the magnet if I want to.
Ooh that's so smart!
Thanks Kelli. I’ve never tried a magnetic polish but will have to give it a go. Super helpful xo
Yay I'm happy I could help!!
This is a great video!! Love magnetically but always feel like I never get them quite right.
There's definitely a learning curve but it gets easier!! 😋❤️
Ooh fingers crossed it works with the stand!! ❤️❤️
Great video! I have yet to try any magnetic polish, let alone a magnetic mani. However, this gives me some inspiration to actually try this! Thank you! I love the Amazon magnet kit too! I have bigger nail beds and tend to keep my nails on the longer side. Looking forward to trying this.
Oh yeah I think a lot of these designs would suit bigger nails way better haha!
Thank you! This is right on time for me as I have never used a magnetic polish but have recently decided that I want to try.
Would you suggest not using a quick dry top coat when magnetizing?
As for the texting vs calling, yes definitely depends on the 'who' and it depends on what's going on with me at the time. Life is always
'life-ing' so sometimes a call just isn't convenient.
You can definitely use a quick dry top coat, just make sure you hover the magnet over it while that coat dries as well! You're gonna have a lot of fun playing with magnetics 🥰
@@KelliMarissa thank you! I’m looking forward to it! So excited!
I love the flower magnet
Thank you so much for this! I recently bought my first magnetics and I tried so hard to get it right, but it was rubbish and so frustrating.
I have stamped with magnetic polish looks cool!!
Ooh that sounds awesome!!
What an excellent and informative video Kelli! Thank you so much 🌹
What is the brand and color you are wearing on your nails? - it's very pretty!
Thank you so much Kelli this is really helpful. Can you tell me what polish you are wearing in the into and outro here it looks amazing, thank you 🙂
Sure! I've always got it listed in the description - today it's OPI The Leo-nly One!
Just ordered the magnet kit from Amazon. Can’t wait to experiment! Thanks 😊🤗
Ooh yay let me know how it works for you!!
This is such a needed magnetic polish 101. Like I’ve mentioned I’ve seen reviews on amazing brands saying it didn’t stay magnetized and I think some was people just not really knowing what to do. I love & appreciate your reviews overall, swatches and nail polish 101 videos…thanks bunches 💜💅🏻
I was born in 79 and kinda prefer calling friends and loved ones bc I think texting and messaging can sometimes (at least for me) get misunderstood.
Magnetic is my favorite type of nail polish!
It's always so beautiful!!
Some of those special shapes really only work with gel magnetics. Next time I make an order from KBShimmer, I might get the stand. Right now I just use one of the little stands I use for painting press ons or swatch sticks, which are plastic wall hooks from Dollar Tree.
I'm honestly impressed that a lot of them worked for me haha!
I might try that magnet set. Some of the designs are nice. 😊
For the price I think it's totally worth it! Tbh I probably would have paid $10 for just the striped magnet haha!
Someone on yhe internet came up with the best hack for the velvet effect. They placed a bar magnet (like the FUN Laquer one) between two magnet wands. It made the perfect little area to place the finger and the effect was gorgeous.
Ooh yes someone mentioned that, it sounds so cool! I'll have to try it haha
To get a cat eye effect (waves), try waving the magnet slowly from left to right over the nail! Looks really cool!
Fun idea!! 😋
Thanks I just new magnetic polish and needed tips.
So for gel magnetic polishes specifically, yes you need to cure after each coat! If it's regular polish, it will dry by air so no curing necessary!
Nail stamping plates with different brands of nail polish like OPI Orly, besides Maniology nail polish
Lots of great tips! I'll definitely be trying these.
Glad you found it helpful!! 💙
Hi, I was wondering if you had a video of how to clean up a nail if you flooded or get polish on the skin?
