Please guys be thankful he is doing a video on Windows. As a result Windows users who find this video will be able to discover FreeBSD through his other videos.

Thanks for posting this! I haven't used Hiren's rescue CD in years, so I'll have to check it out!

Make sure you take measures to disable fastboot for win8+ machines. Rebooting the Windows install and changing the next boot such as from BIOS/UEFI boot menu/control works, I think holding shift when choosing to power down was supposed to work as was executing `powercfg /h off` but would double check those, and yanking power on a running Windows system bypasses fastboot but may leave disk in unclean/damaged state. Not doing so will lead to Windows not rereading changes that have been made to the disk since the previous reboot which can cause corruption, missing files, etc.
FreeBSD users can use security/chntpw to reset local Windows local account passwords too (among other registry edits). It is harder as you have to (successfully) mount the partition as rw and point the command at the registry file on disk to be modified. I think I used to use Trinity Rescue Kit which would help automate mounting the partition and loading the registry file into it.
Some people do still defragment (and occasionally with a valid desire to actual need) though those who doing it are often needlessly doing it. I still keep around an old copy of mydefrag but it can fail on larger file counts and doesn't do exfat + doesn't get updates anymore and have jkdefrag, ultradefrag, and a few others for different tasks and to sometimes just mess around with.
Instead of treesize I'd use windirstat (opensource) or wiztree (proprietary, nag donation button, much faster) instead of treesize; FreeBSD users can use sysutils/qdirstat or sysutils/k4dirstat as a nearly equivalent to windirstat (which was a Windows port of kdirstat if I recall).
For dual boot, you could consider if you wanted to show older mbr FreeBSD's boot loader, newer UEFI just being chosen from motherboard UEFI boot loader choices (don't think FreeBSD has boot selection of its own for UEFI yet), and other tools like grub for comparison/contrast.

That is certainly easier than the way I've been doing it with a live Linux and chntpw, though chntpw is not that difficult. I reset a Win11 password using it just last week.

Dear Sir, I am 72 years old and have been using Linux exclusively for about 13 years, with few exceptions. Now I have the intention to switch to Free BSD, I specifically thought about Ghost BSD, what do you think is it worth switching to ghostBSD or better to freeBSD. In this regard, I use Brave as a priority to have chances to install brave on Ghost BSD ? With special respects, Alexandru Fekete from Oradea, Romania.

As a FreeBSD desktop user, I have had the task of resetting Windows passwords, though I didn't fire up a Windows OS to get it done. It is also a doable task from FreeBSD
