There’s a webisode called “Hanging Out” where it shows the characters POV taking place the night of the beat to beat contest at the beginning of the movie. Barbie’s POV had River asked out her that night so canonically they only started dating a few hours. Madison’s pov was telling noelle about her dream about River. Hence why Noelle brought it up in the movie. Madison was contemplating her feelings for River until Barbie told everyone they were dating.
I didn’t know about this until watching the webisodes again lol

I remember being given a Delancey doll for my birthday when I was little, and the Jammin in Jamaica cassette came as a bonus.
OH MY GOSH. Yes! Same! I got a Delancey doll, and got the Jammin in Jamaica dvd as a bonus in there, and I was LIVING FOR IT. I’m sure this dvd is still in my childhood home somewhere. I have since watched it multiple times just on youtube, but now I feel like I should go retrieve the physical dvd.

I use to watch this movie over & over & over as a kid.. im now 28 & with the new Barbie movie coming out, I've been rewatching a lot of the Barbie movies & completely forgot about MyScene!!! & I instantly cried when I put it on as an adult, I remembered word for word, but somehow forgotten all about it for 18 years!! It's crazy what our brain can remember lol

I had watched the webisodes prior to the movie and they were kind of all over the place. I love them. But, what Noelle is referring to when talking to Madison is that she had a dream about kissing River before he and Barbie got together. She told Noelle. At the same time River asked Barbie to be his girlfriend and they started dating. Before Barbie was able to tell Madison, Madison has already figured out that she did not like River that way and the issue was solved. You can dream something without it necessarily having a meaning. Dreams are basically produced by your brain passing through the remainings of the day while you sleep. It has no meaning at all. Of course sometimes dreams can reflect our fears etc. but I think the kiss could easily mean something else, too.

I don’t think it was racism but idk
She more dimensional than the others (like a bratz character), but yeah, they had no flaws she was always the ons being held accountable. Barbie was the perfect but clearly problematic, Nolee and Chelsea basically did nothing apart from being slightly comediac and Delancy was more like let's surf and eat! (Honestly same) But yeah Westley/Madison was a more rounded character but painted with a bad brush, it wasn't fair.
My scene was banging but too mature for kiddies to understand ps they clearly seemed more like college/20+ year old friends and not highschoolers haha

This movie is awesome. But the content is too mature for young girls interested in barbie. The whole love triangle thing I felt was to sexual for young girls to be watching. When Madison says " I would never do anything with river" sounds too adult ish. When I saw it I was already grown because my 4 year old daughter at the time got the Madison doll and the DVD came with it. I had no idea it was going to be this mature. Also listen to the real song forever and they changed the lyrics in the movie because the real song's lyrics are inappropriate.
I agree! I probably enjoy it more as an adult than I did when I got the DVD in elementary school. The going down in flames song, although super catchy, is way too uncomfortable to listen to with other people around.
