I remember watching Bratz Babyz: The movie, when I was younger and when the bully asked for 50 bucks, I thought he meant books. And I didn’t understand why he couldn’t just go to a library
The live action bratz movie is extremely bad. Yasmin is either supposed to be Hispanic or from Iran. So when they went with the Hispanic route it was extremely disappointing as a Hispanic girl to see such stereotypes played on screen. A mariachi band in her kitchen when she wakes up? Actors who aren’t Hispanic? It’s frustrating and extremely disappointing.
Yeah also that scene where she bumped into the death guy in the hallway and said “are you death?!” And the guy said yeah and she said so ignorantly “you don’t sound death”, so ignorant
@@nataliawashington872 "are you blind ?!" not death, but it's "deaf", so you're welcome :) (the movie is bad, but i rather watch bratz live action movie over mean girls 2 that's even worse in my opinion.)
Fr tho. I’m half Slavic and when I heard Cloe speaking Russian I was like “😐”. She’s not even supposed to be Slavic but they did that, then never mentioned it again
Technically the actress is Hispanic in real life (I think she's from Spain), but my issue is that she looks absolutely nothing like the actual Yasmin doll or any of the cartoon versions. It's like they just took any Hispanic actress they could find and used her despite her looking nothing like Yasmin. It's like having Christina Aguilera play Dora just because they're both Hispanic. It doesn't make sense.

Sad thing is once Mattel puts out a doll brand-some movies and/or tv show that shit is amazing (ex: Bratz, Monster High, Ever After High (who is argue had the best tv show out of my list of examples/such an amazing plot), but then they try to change it cause they keep listening to fucking Karen’s and shit and then eventually ruin it all together by rebooting it, instead of keeping it how it originally was cause they seem to forget how it OG was I’d the reason it became popular in the first place. Big example is Bratz but mostly Monster High (it’s so sad to see them turn my favorite gothic monsters instead bright neon dolls), EAH is discontinued cause of Descendants. And well Barbie was actually okay-love the movies and dolls as a kid but they plummeted too. Mattel just takes away the one thing that made the doll-line popular in the first place. If you want to keep an old business flourishing you have to remember and keep in mind what made that brand popular in the first place? Why did people like it? And never forget that.
I remember watching that movie with my older sisters when I was a kid and thinking it was alright. I recently watched it again with them (now that we're all adults) and I gotta be honest, I thought the main character was such a bitch and did not deserve the friends she had at all lol
Rock angelz, fashion pixie, and the tv show were my fav bratz cinema. The rock angelz video game was also amazing and I still listen to the soundtrack to this day
Bratz was my childhood I loved them way over barbie personally, the dolls the PS2 games and the films were iconic loved it all, also rock anglez and forever diamonds were the top tire films
omg brats fashion pixiez used to be my favorite movie. My parents would take me to blockbuster every week to rent a movie and I had 3 movies that I would check out every time and that was one of them.
The real life Bratz was me and my friends literal childhood. Listen to a lot of the songs today actually and like I listened to them because o love them, like actually for real not for the memories or for fun but for REAL😂
Starrin' and Stylin' was the first Bratz thing I ever saw and I especially loved Sasha, but whoo boy was I disappointed and confused when I actually got a Sasha doll and it looked nothing like the Sasha from the movie that I was used to xDDD
That got me so MAD 😡 sasha’s doll was dark skinned but they made her biracial/Hispanic-looking. On the bright side, I loved that starring and styling used the other dolls that had only a few dolls outside of the main 4 and the 2 boys. like Meghan (a red headed doll seen, she’s in the scene when Sasha was decorating for prom) and Dana (a brunette, I forgot where she was in the film). I had both of these dolls and they only had 2 installments or so.
@@svgarcvbes7560 yeah i should have said light-skinned, because they made characters who are black (sasha) and brown (yasmin) VERY light compared to their toy counterparts. thank you for the correction!
I like how her mother didn't like Bratz, but my mother bathed me in them and I came out 10x better than my cousins. A doll isn't going to shape a child 😂
Loved this list! Absolutely agree w/ #1, especially w/ ur Jade “losing her fashion sense” commentary, I was SICK when I saw her final look for Prom 😭, it was just so bland compared to what she was coming up with at the mall, what a missed opportunity for Jade
i don’t understand the point she made here: 21:28 … barbie literally got boycotted due to their lack of representation of diverse women, and the toxic beauty standards it’s been upholding for decades - meanwhile bratz is celebrated to this day for it’s diversity and fashion freedom, with the “bratz aesthetic” becoming more prevalent in today’s fashion world. she says it’s “funny when you look at where barbie is today in comparison to where bratz is today”, like bratz hasn’t made a complete comeback, while barbie remains nostalgia for majority of people.
I remember a lot of the Bratz _things_ as opposed to the dolls. That fish tank flash game, the big pink cd player, the CDs, all of the console games, and the Miuchiz toy. All iconic.
The one downside about the fish game is that the site saved my progress after I turned off the computer, so when I'd play it again in a week, all my fish would be dead.
@@lydiawalker0714 Never knew that could happen! My friends and I would play it during after school computer class so all of our progress would be gone regardless. Didn't stop us from playing it over and over again! 😂
I agree I don’t remember having a lot of BRATZ dolls-I remember being more obsessed with Barbie and Monster High, I was more into the TV Show and Movies than the actual doll-line. In fact a lot of times I’m interested in the movies and tv shows more: BRATZ: 20% Dolls (I was born in 2004 and I think by that time they weren’t making a lot of BRATZ dolls, there were still some in the stores but not much); 80% tv show and movies (except live action fuck that) Barbie: 8% movies 0% tv shows and 92% doll-line Monster High: 67% doll-line; 33% webisodes/movies. Which is kind of fair I was OBSESSED WITH THE DOLLS! But I was also obsessed with the tv show/movies just slightly less than the dolls Ever After High: 7% dolls (I think I had like only 2 or 3 of them); 93% tv show (the show had such an amazing plot, too bad the crossover movie that was planned with old Monster High never happened would’ve made Mattel hella money and brought even more dolls to both series’)
THANK GOD you gave Bratz Starrin and Stylin it's RIGHTFUL PLACE i firmly believe if all Bratz movies were 2-d animated and had plots like this one, Bratz would have been so dang legendary. This movie is my childhood, yes, but no one can deny this movie was DAMN GOOD and a cultural icon.
I honestly didn’t know it was that many movies. Just knew of the Bratz: The Movie (Live Action) and Bratz: Rock Angelz LOL and personally I like the live action. As teenagers, my best friend and I always wanted to be the Bratz. I was Cloe and she was Sasha but we could never find our Yazmin or Jade so there’s that 😆😆 thanks for this movie...lots of memories
I love all of the movies but my top favorites are 1. Bratz: passion 4 fashion diamonds 2. Bratz rock angels 3. Bratz kids sleepover adventure 4. Bratz kids fairytales
The plot of the live action is superficial but I did like some of their outfits plus the song the bratz preformed in the talent show was good. I hold no nostalgia for bratz as I never had one. I definitely prefer the barbie movies.
The live action movie was…meh-got their personalities all wrong, love the song tho. I had tons of Barbie dolls as a kid and watched some movies but I never feel nostalgic when seeing the dolls. I however loved Bratz and the movies and dolls (even tho I didn’t have many)
I do like the movie, for which I unfortunately recieve death threats. But I agree about the outfits at the end, though I also like the dresses at Meredith's 16th Birthday Party.
I love Barbie but I really gravitated to Bratz due to the diversity and glamour. They looked like me, and they dressed like how the beautiful girls in my culture dress like. Street style and diverse friendships are more my life. I still Stan all of the Barbie princess incarnations (Swan Lake the most) but Bratz is just more me
6:54 if the baby “we never see again” is named Megan, then she actually does come up later in the Bratz kids sleepover adventure movie… other than that, you’re right, i don’t think we see her again😂. I wish we had some backstory at where some of these floater friends come from and where they go (aside from the main four)
'Bratz Starrin' & Stylin' is my favorite Bratz movie too, and 'Bratz Rock Angelz' is my second favorite because of the music and I thought the plot was better. Speaking of the live-action 'Bratz' movie, I was not happy with how they portrayed Dylan and Cameron because they look nothing like their animated counterparts and their personalities did not match either. Cameron wouldn't hang out with the villains, what the heck?!?! And Dylan's character was portrayed as soft-spoken and down-to-earth, while the animated Dylan is more outgoing and a ladies man in a way. So yeah I was mad about that! I wish they portrayed the Bratz girls' individual interests in the TV show because Jade liking science, Cloe a jock, Yasmin a singer, and Sasha a cheerleader; yeah that came out of nowhere! At least they portrayed Sasha's love for music/hip hop though.
I'm not sure if the interests are totally out of nowhere. At least for Cloe or Sasha - Sasha has always been shown to be passionate for music (and she would break out in dance often!) so cheerleading isn't that much of a jump, and Cloe has always been portrayed as the more tomboy-ish of the group so I don't think it's a surprise to make her a jock. Yasmin being a singer is a bit of a leap (but at least they got her passion for journalism!). The problem with Jade, is while it's great they got the fashion aspect of her character, part of me believes the Science and the Math is kinda just stereotyping because of the Asian parents.
i was *obsessed* with bratz from about the age of 7 and I'm ngl I think I only enjoyed fashion pixiez, rock angelz and the live-action? The dedication you have to sit through ALL of these...
Wait you’re telling me Starrin n’ Stylin isn’t a fan favorite????? How could you not love it, the vibes in this movie alone are immaculate. It honest makes me wanna enjoy high school to the fullest. Tho I did just graduate but yknow. It’s my fav 100%
I'm more of a fan of the games! on the Gamecube & Wii, it really gave more in depth for these movies! Esp the Rock Angelz, Forever Diamondz, etc. idk if you're a video game person, but it's very fashion and magazine focused! It's what honestly got me into my hairstyling career, and being on RUclips now!
I can not get over the fact that Jon Vouit (Angelina Jolie's dad) is in the live action one and the fact he is in the first Mission impossible like and he was in a CHILDREN'S MOVIE🧎🏽♀️🏃🏼♀️🤺
Bratz Rock Angelz is the bomb and my favourite of all time. I remember playing the PC interactive game. I always play that all the time before and after school. Also, I used to like the live-action Bratz movie and I remember got the movie for Christmas long time ago.
honestly i feel like the whole thing with parents not liking bratz and saying they're bad role models is playing into misogyny. like if a girl is into fashion it makes her dim and a "brat" which is absolutely sexist
their proportions are actually based from steve madden ads from the 90’s. so in order for you to put on the pants with their giant feet they were made to be removable. it’s like how some articulated dolls have removable hands so it’s easier to put their shirts on
the one thing i wanna comment on if the fact bratz is where it is td bc mattel sued them bc barbie was losing her market monopoly. so like, funny in the context of the movies sure, but not in reality lol

I grew up watching bratz: starrin & syilin and I loved it! That brought back so many childhood memories
Same! I still have it on DVD. I remember I got this special purse-like case with it
also i don't remember burdine's magazine being called "be you" at all, wasn't it "your thing"?
It was definitely "Your Thing" Magazine
i literally watched one of the movies last week it’s “your thing”
It’s “Your Thing Magazine”
Thank you, because I was confused as to what "be you" was lol
Oh my… I’m gonna love this! Bratz is a huge part of my childhood, Fashion Pixiez is my favourite!
Fashion Pixiez was everything!!!
The bratz sleepover one used to always scare the shit out of me as a kid
Could you do a video reviewing the movie myscene jamming in Jamaica?
That movie was my everything growing up
I remember watching that movie with my older sisters when I was a kid and thinking it was alright. I recently watched it again with them (now that we're all adults) and I gotta be honest, I thought the main character was such a bitch and did not deserve the friends she had at all lol
Yes please as well as My Scene goes to Hollywood.
The Myscene movies are on another level of amazing! So good!
YESSS
The best Bratz movies have to be “Fashion Pixiez” and “Genie Magic”
Have you talked about the MyScene movies? And how Harvey Weinstein was a character in the movie that the girls were desperate to impress? Oof
y i k e s
W WHAT
@@toxicsugarart2103 Yep. My Scene Goes to Hollywood. It also had Lindsay Lohan.
I HAD NO IDEA THAT WAS HIM WTFFFFFF
@@kuhnuckles1 OOF
Rock angelz, fashion pixie, and the tv show were my fav bratz cinema. The rock angelz video game was also amazing and I still listen to the soundtrack to this day
Bratz was my childhood I loved them way over barbie personally, the dolls the PS2 games and the films were iconic loved it all, also rock anglez and forever diamonds were the top tire films
the ps2 game was so iconic omg
Bratz Babies the movie was always my favorite because the girls were being confident and standing up to bullies so it gave me confidence as a child
omg brats fashion pixiez used to be my favorite movie.
I rlly love Starrin' and Stylin' bc nostalgia, but WHy did they make everyone white
Just because you’re light doesn’t mean you’re white, but I see what you’re saying
@@svgarcvbes7560 yeah i should have said light-skinned, because they made characters who are black (sasha) and brown (yasmin) VERY light compared to their toy counterparts. thank you for the correction!
@@abbiethegoodnoodle4900 I forgot, I haven’t watched Bratz in so long-
And you’re welcome
Fashion pixez was always my favorite as a kid but all of my friends and my sister hated it, so I’m glad that you liked it!!
The Bratz kid's sleepover movie is such nostalgia to me!! I still remember all the stories and I used to love the movie.
Also can we talk about how they made Dylan white in the live action movie!
EXACTLY
The magazine is actually mentioned in the show a lot and so are the guys
i don’t understand the point she made here: 21:28 … barbie literally got boycotted due to their lack of representation of diverse women, and the toxic beauty standards it’s been upholding for decades - meanwhile bratz is celebrated to this day for it’s diversity and fashion freedom, with the “bratz aesthetic” becoming more prevalent in today’s fashion world. she says it’s “funny when you look at where barbie is today in comparison to where bratz is today”, like bratz hasn’t made a complete comeback, while barbie remains nostalgia for majority of people.
In fact a lot of times I’m interested in the movies and tv shows more:
BRATZ: 20% Dolls (I was born in 2004 and I think by that time they weren’t making a lot of BRATZ dolls, there were still some in the stores but not much); 80% tv show and movies (except live action fuck that)
Barbie: 8% movies 0% tv shows and 92% doll-line
Monster High: 67% doll-line; 33% webisodes/movies. Which is kind of fair I was OBSESSED WITH THE DOLLS! But I was also obsessed with the tv show/movies just slightly less than the dolls
Ever After High: 7% dolls (I think I had like only 2 or 3 of them); 93% tv show (the show had such an amazing plot, too bad the crossover movie that was planned with old Monster High never happened would’ve made Mattel hella money and brought even more dolls to both series’)
My best friend and i wanted to be Yazmin and Jade lol
Awww if only we met each other :) ❤️
@@Bunnysailormoontv yeah, a full squad hehe
@@dawncl6205 definitely ❤️💕
Bratz Genie magic and rock Angels were my most fav as a kid.😅
I love all of the movies but my top favorites are
1. Bratz: passion 4 fashion diamonds
2. Bratz rock angels
3. Bratz kids sleepover adventure
4. Bratz kids fairytales
My favorite bratz movie is bratz kids fairy tales so seeing it at 12 is kinda sad.
Same I watched it once and still remembered Rapunzel’s tower song after like 7 years because I liked it so much 😂
I remember the witch from that film😂😂😂
It’s “Your Thing” magazine, not “Be You”
I was wondering where she got "Be You" from.
I still Stan all of the Barbie princess incarnations (Swan Lake the most) but Bratz is just more me
okay but the most iconic thing to come from bratz is the bratz rock angelz soundtrack album, it has so many BOPS on it
Starrin' & Stylin' getting the recognition it deserves! So underrated, undeniably my favouroute.
Started watching your videos about a year ago out of boredom and now i’m ✨obsessed✨
Omg same Cait is an amazing role model and her videos are so entertaining
6:54 if the baby “we never see again” is named Megan, then she actually does come up later in the Bratz kids sleepover adventure movie… other than that, you’re right, i don’t think we see her again😂. I wish we had some backstory at where some of these floater friends come from and where they go (aside from the main four)
The bratz sleepover I had on dvd and I would have nightmares every time I watched it
honestly fashion pixiez is the only one i still rewatch to this day, it’s ICONIC
6:20 fun fact actually, there was like a cinderella themed type episode in the tv show that did end up using the twins as the step sisters :D
i was *obsessed* with bratz from about the age of 7 and I'm ngl I think I only enjoyed fashion pixiez, rock angelz and the live-action? The dedication you have to sit through ALL of these...
Bratz kidz: fairy tale adventures was my SHIT. i would go to the library and get the dvd to watch it constantly
It’s all about me from the camp rock based one was an iconic song
Wait you’re telling me Starrin n’ Stylin isn’t a fan favorite????? How could you not love it, the vibes in this movie alone are immaculate. It honest makes me wanna enjoy high school to the fullest. Tho I did just graduate but yknow. It’s my fav 100%
I LOVED Starrin’ and Stylin’ as a kid! I tore up that DVD from watching it so much. Also, I was always obsessed with Yasmin’s dress.
I just need everyone to know that Kaley Cuoco voiced one of the pink twins!
Fashion pixies was def my favorite I've watched that so many times idk why but I love it lmao
your favorite is also my favorite!!!! this movie is like the only thing i’ve watched my whole childhood
I'm more of a fan of the games! on the Gamecube & Wii, it really gave more in depth for these movies! Esp the Rock Angelz, Forever Diamondz, etc. idk if you're a video game person, but it's very fashion and magazine focused! It's what honestly got me into my hairstyling career, and being on RUclips now!
i’m glad you recognized kidz sleepover adventure is the best out of the kidz/babyz franchise
I can not get over the fact that Jon Vouit (Angelina Jolie's dad) is in the live action one and the fact he is in the first Mission impossible like and he was in a CHILDREN'S MOVIE🧎🏽♀️🏃🏼♀️🤺
I grew up watching starin and stylin, i remember owning it on DVD and watching it in the car for ALL road trips!
I watched all of them as a child and loved them lol
I feel like you would enjoy reviewing the Holly Hobbie and Friends movies. They were like a Polly Pocket and Strawberry Shortcake love child
Okay but why didn’t the Bratz dolls have feet??
ask MGA they're the ones who made em
their proportions are actually based from steve madden ads from the 90’s. so in order for you to put on the pants with their giant feet they were made to be removable. it’s like how some articulated dolls have removable hands so it’s easier to put their shirts on
@@aj7842 yep, I was about to say that, thx!!
they did you could just take them off to change the shoes but most kids ended up losing them
@@softboy5573 Ha! I was one of those kids!! 😂😭
I really liked the two interactive Bratz movies as a kid, I can’t remember the names now but I’d constantly rent them from the store!
The singing voice of Yasmin in the bratz live action though 😂😂😂😂
Bold of you to think i didnt watched every Bratz and Barbie movie already
This was my whole childhood
starin and stylin was the first bratz movie i watched and im so glad you put it first. its amazing and embodies the bratz brand so well💕💕
I started watching Soy Luna this week because you talk about it so much! I really enjoy it so far ❤️ Nina and Gaston are my favorite ship by far
You definitely won’t regret watching it
Gastina!!!!!!!
i kept waiting to see my favorite and im so glad its also your favorite!!! the animation isn't weird, the fashion is everything, its just cute
cait: uploads
me: immediately clicks
the one thing i wanna comment on if the fact bratz is where it is td bc mattel sued them bc barbie was losing her market monopoly. so like, funny in the context of the movies sure, but not in reality lol
