So, either one third of women in their twenties are dating teenagers (not likely), or one third of women in their twenties are dating older men. And there are lots of youtube videos of older women complaining that men their age only want to date younger women. So, this trend, if it is real, seems like the obvious solution. Apparently there are a lot of younger single men looking for relationships, and a fair number of older single women who can't find men their own age. Good for them! Everyone wins and society benefits.

A lot of older slang from before us is still used a fair bit by us in addition to newer terms, and some have just become so solidified that they're not even slang anymore, just a normal part of the language (the biggest case of that is probably "cool," literally everyone knows what that means and uses it and it hardly counts as slang anymore, and I don't see that term ever going away).
