Unfortunately a mother raccoon was hit by a car. Eric ended up seeing something moving on the side of the road, and stopped to see what it was. It turned out to be a baby raccoon. We don't know if there were other babies, but this was the only one that was found. He took it home where he cared for it for a week. He got in touch with me and I went and picked the little guy up. He is around 5-6 weeks old and still way too young to survive on his own. Be sure to like, subscribe, and hit the bell notification so you can see how much he grows up!
Right now he is quarantined in a big cardboard box until he can get checked out at the vet. I can't risk him spreading anything to tito. Until he is vet approved they won't have any contact.

James Lucker We’ve got a very similar serious problem over here in the UK with hedgehogs. They seriously are nearing the mark of an endangered species in our country now. It’s believed that on average there is only approximately 5% of the original population level left.😢 A creature that sweet doesn’t deserve to go out the way it has.

@@elliemcelroyy it's normal my cat still tries to suck on the collar of my shirt or on my blankets. I thought he had a vitamin deficiency since he hasn't grown out of it. My vet says it's normal it means he was weaned too soon or he has imprinted on you or the bear. It's very therapeutic for them apparently. I try to train my cat to not spit all on me but he always gets me when I'm sleep

Yes is the answer. I have chickens on my acreage ,and I was loosing them to racoons. I started trapping them and releasing them mile from my place. The next door neighbor saw me doing this once. He told me transporting wild animals falls under trafficking. Now when I catch them they get dispatched as humanely as possible.

What he actually did was very bad. Instead of sending it to a real rehabber, he tried to make it a "pet". That prevented it from living the life it's supposed to live. Real rehabbers would do their best to have it be safely back in the wild. What they do is they try to keep the raccoon from loving them, they give the raccoon what he/she needs, have it be around other raccoons to decrease the risk of it imprinting on other species, then release the raccoon into the wild when it's ready.

Saved a cat once while I was heading home from work (this happened years ago). Someone just put the poor thing in a sack and probably just left it on the side of the road to die or get run over. It's a tubby kitty too so I named him Garfield cuz he just looked like him lol. Took him home and spoiled the hell out of him and he's never left my side ever since, he'd even find a way to get in my car just to go with me to work.. That's until the day he passed away of course (4 years ago). I'm usually never fond with cats but he was the coolest and most chill cat I've ever met, he never bothers me when I'm busy, he'd watch tv with me or even watch me play games on my laptop sometimes trying to "help" me kill the bad guy by smacking the screen with his paws which I actually find adorable and I'm glad I found him and took care of him :)

Our cat was found by my daughter when he was a few days old, also left to die near a street, in ivy bushes of our neighbor's entrance (no one lives there, only two weeks during summer his family lives there during vacation)...he is the most silly cat that I've ever encountered. He follows me everywhere, and I mean literally everywhere even to the bathroom, he "talks" with us...when you ask him something he meows answering, if he wants milk instead of water, he comes to me and guides me to the fridge and tabs on the fridge door...when I open it, he puts his pawn on the milk pack...it's not that he is our (well to be precise my daughter's cat), but he really is the smartest cat that I've ever encountered in my life so far. :)
