The greatest missed opportunity in Disney parks history is to leave out Facilier and not have “are you ready!???” playing while going up the lift hill for the final drop.
I could not believe the comments weren't turned off. Maybe this is Disney's way of showing the libs that when Disney does woke stuff, it doesn't pay off.
If youtube commenters were an indicator of real people... but alas, it's just a sea of incels who don't leave home and couldn't afford a trip to a Disney theme park even if their boss let them work extra shifts at the CVS

Walt Disney, meanwhile is vomiting in his grave!
It would have been SO easy for them to just retell the story of the film and have Friends On The Other Side play as you go up the lift hill, rather than whatever this is. What a disappointment
The hilarious part of this ride is that the whole journey we have to find critters to play at the party, but then as soon as we make the first turn there is a whole band ready to go.
if you listen to what Tiana said on the ride. She said that the alligator put it all together and she was so amazed by how he did all the work to get it done.
Riding the original Splash as a kid I'll never forget the fear and tension building up to the drop. The creepy music, the vultures mocking you. And then pure joy and celebration after surviving the briar patch whilst Zip a dee do dah plays in the background. Tiana's has no drama. Stories need danger and high stakes for the pay off to be satisfying. Dr. Facilier and tons of voodoo masks singing Friends on the Other Side would have been so perfect. Man, Disney messed this up...
1000 TIMES, THIS!!! The absolute dread as you climbed to the top. And the success of Brer Rabbit escaping! Such a real thrill. So glad I could enjoy it while it was still a masterpiece.
Not having a part with Dr. Facilier is a shame. He would have been perfect in the mushroom rooms. Kids need a little bit of something "spooky" in their lives. This is just sanitized drivel. WAY less characters, too many screens, zero story line...
I don't understand how imagineering could have fallen this far. It's remarkable and horribly sad to see something that was so loved and revered just completely die.
Disney as a whole seems to have collapsed within the past few years, their newest animated movies like Strange World and Wish are tanking and now so are their ride ideas. It's depressing to see as someone who grew up with Disney my entire life (I turned 30 in November).

@@CYTACK92 The reason he's absent from the ride is because "It takes place after the movie". With that logic, Randall shouldn't be in the Monsters Inc. ride at Tokyo because he got banished, yet he is. And I know for a fact that ride takes place after the movie because the motto says "It's Laughter We're After". So, why couldn't Facilier be in the ride? biggest missed opportunity in all of Disney Parks history.
As a Disney fan and been to the parks many times. This was the most boring thing I ever witnessed. No story, no tense moments and no fun unlike it's far more fun and successful predecessor... Splash Mountain deserved better. TK stamp of disapproval!
I am African American and Splash Mountain was one of my favorite rides because it told African American folktales that would have otherwise been lost to history. What I think even Walt Disney would not have liked a lit this ride is that it doesn't even twll the story of the Princess and the Frog. No Prince, No Villian. No glimpse of what the story was about. I used to work here too so that hurts.
Unfortunately, Song of the South is tainted. The folktales themselves are worthy of better treatment. It would be great if there was a new movie featuring African Americans telling these tales.
The no Dr. Facilier makes me crazy. Keith David is a FANTASTIC actor. They should have made those mushroom rooms all about him. Give it a little spooky edge. Oh, and the over use of screens is painful.

No... ChatGPT will do it better: Please design a ride for the disney movie princess and the frog with the ride layout of splash mountain. Describe what in each scence happens and how it is themed ChatGPT: Designing a ride for "The Princess and the Frog" using the layout of Splash Mountain involves creating scenes that reflect key moments and themes from the movie. Here's a detailed description of the ride, scene by scene: Queue Area: Guests enter the queue, themed as the bustling streets of New Orleans. Jazz music fills the air, and guests pass by storefronts and markets, immersing them in the lively culture of the city. Posters of Tiana's restaurant and various characters from the movie can be seen. Boarding Area: Guests board log boats at the docks by the bayou. The loading area is decorated with bayou vegetation, fireflies, and rustic charm, setting the scene for an adventure into the swamps of Louisiana. Scene 1: Introduction (New Orleans) The ride begins in the heart of New Orleans. Guests float past Tiana's Palace, where animatronic figures of Tiana and Charlotte are seen discussing their dreams. The city's architecture, jazz bands, and lively atmosphere are depicted with vibrant colors and music. Scene 2: Bayou Encounter The logs drift into the bayou. Spanish moss hangs from the trees, and fireflies light the way. Here, guests encounter animatronic figures of Tiana and Naveen as frogs, meeting Louis the alligator and Ray the firefly. Louis is playing his trumpet, and Ray is introducing himself, with humorous and heartwarming interactions. Scene 3: Dr. Facilier's Voodoo The mood shifts as guests enter a darker part of the bayou. They are greeted by eerie music and glowing masks. Animatronics of Dr. Facilier and his shadowy friends appear, showing the scene where he tries to trick Naveen and Tiana. The atmosphere is filled with suspense and magic. Scene 4: Mama Odie's Magic The logs ascend a gentle incline, entering Mama Odie's treehouse. The scene is bright and colorful, with animatronics of Mama Odie, Tiana, Naveen, and various magical objects. Mama Odie sings "Dig a Little Deeper," offering advice and wisdom. The room sparkles with light and energy. Scene 5: Journey Through the Swamp The ride transitions to an outdoor scene where guests float through the bayou, encountering various wildlife and the bayou residents. Music and sounds of nature create an immersive experience, highlighting the beauty and mystery of the Louisiana swamps. Scene 6: Conflict and Resolution Guests enter a tense scene where Tiana and Naveen confront Dr. Facilier in a final showdown. Animatronics and special effects depict the intense battle, culminating in Dr. Facilier being dragged into the spirit world by his shadowy friends. The tension peaks, preparing guests for the upcoming drop. Scene 7: The Big Drop The logs climb the final lift hill. At the top, guests see Tiana and Naveen transformed back into humans, realizing their love for each other. The view from the top shows the beautiful bayou and New Orleans skyline before the log plunges down the thrilling drop. Scene 8: Celebration After the exhilarating drop, the logs drift into a joyous scene of celebration. Animatronics of Tiana, Naveen, Louis, Ray (now a star), and other characters are seen celebrating at Tiana's Palace. The scene is filled with music, dancing, and vibrant decorations, capturing the festive spirit of New Orleans.
"We need to find a band!" *Literally finds a band after the very first corner* "Wow! Let's find more!" *Literally more right after the next corner.* *Then a boring, dull, empty space in which you slowly approach Tiana who isnt doing anything until you activate the sensor.*
“Hey, do you remember when they would all sing the laughing place on the way to the next drop? Let’s make the music quieter, slower, and have Tiana stare at you until you reach her. What could go wrong?” Seriously! I was even SINGING the laughing place song on Splash.
The thing is, they won’t go out of business likely ever. They are greatly monopolizing on entertainment and our government does nothing to stop them. This is probably a penny for them 💀 but I get what you mean in a metaphorical sense
This ride showcases all the issues of modern imagineering. Expensive animatronics take the place of well populated scenes, lots of dead space with nothing to look at. Overly sanitized story with no conflict drama or tension.
I get it that this was meant as a childrens ride to soft tone the scary aspect of Certain scenes but all in all the ride feels enjoyable on some scenes while others you have to WAIT for that anticpation to grow, ( LONGER if your back to back by a few logs ahead of ya). I know I cannot be the one thinking this out loud but I kinda wanted to see dr facilier's "Friends on the other side" music theme before the BIG drop!~
I think the general consensus is at least try to have a story arc. They released previews of two new Country Bears songs, and the talent is really good, but did anyone ask for country versions of Try Everything and A Whole New World? I don't think so. Country Bears dropped off my list of things to do and this isn't going to fix that.
YES! Not just the bad cgi screens, but also “story” if you can call it that- like how Disney Jr. doesn’t allow for any true antagonists or trials of any kind. Everything is positive but also mind numbingly boring.
@@Smallpoxproductionsit’s sad how they canceled the last amazing Disney ride: the avengers e ticket quinjet ride. I worry how bad its replacement “the avengers multiverse ride” will be
For real. This is a ride that feels like it belongs in Dollywood or Silver Dollar City. Not that there is anything wrong with those parks, but Disney has a massive budget compared to them.
@PHOT0MATT Epic Universe is about to be right down the street from this garbage lol. I can’t wait to see Super Nintendo World and Dark Universe! Also fun fact….my friends and I will be in Orlando in September and for the first time ever we’ve chosen to go to Universal over Disney. This will happen alot more frequently these days.
It's not about food. you think it would be since that was Tiana's entire personality in the movie, and the queue prepares you for a story about food, and then the ride has absolutely nothing to do with food. instead your finding musicians to play at the party. Super exhilarating, I know lol.
This is a slap in the face to Tiana, and the African American community. Tiana deserved her own new ride...not a broke down Wish version of a ride! After Disney decided to discriminate against its vast disabled community....they deserve everything they are getting with this ride
@@Scr3am1ng_R0m4nt1c Probably something to do with how a while ago there was a woman who was kicked off tower of terror for being to heavy. It was a safety issue with her being too big for the harnesses and it being very dangerous for her to be on it iirc but she made it seem like Disney hates fat people or smth.
@@Scr3am1ng_R0m4nt1c princess and the frog is a movie with great african american representation, they're saying tiana deserved a ride that wasn't this disappointing.
There’s so much empty space. I can’t believe Disney got rid of one of the best rides they had for dancing okra. I thought she was supposed to be a princess, why is she dressed like Indiana Jones.
@@Lovesapuzzlewhich would've been fine if there was any story or setup as to how you get into that situation but you just roll right up on her like that and it makes zero sense
> I thought she was supposed to be a princess, why is she dressed like Indiana Jones. Because Disney is fully run by activists now and found her in a dress to be seven layers of problematic.
I couldn't figure out that one either. It would've been more exciting if more were waving. They could've all been moving to the music like those dancing Groots.
I'm just imagining it on a clipboard note on a board that they finally chose to try to make the drop make sense with this theme. It sounds written by an AI or whoever wrote Madame Web.
My thoughts exactly. Animatronics are amazing. The Backdrops are amazing. The storyline SUCKS. KIDS want to see what they KNOW. They want to see the story they watched in the movie. Could have had a cool scary part with the big drop with Facilier. I was waiting to see Tiana in her Princess dress at the end. And the end, with all those animatronics, you barely get to see them all because it goes by too quick in that part. That should be slower to check everything out. disappointing.
The problem is that isn't a story arc. I don't understand. They released some audio from the new country bears, and the talent is really good, but do people really want country versions of A Whole New World and Try Everything? I really don't want to attack the talent, buy why? It makes about as much sense as this.
I watched this this morning and I'm still back here nearly 12 hours later, looking through comments. I'm so upset about this ride, seeing others be as upset makes me feel better somehow.
I don’t care if it sounds dramatic, once this video was over I actually cried a little. I’m completely gutted. This is absolutely awful, they ruined such a good thing. Splash mountain was iconic, colorful, creative and suspenseful. This is soulless.
@mydumblife8067 You're absolutely fine feeling the way you do hun ❤️ A lot of us Splash fans feel exactly the same, just we were told to shut up and called the R word for loving one of Disneys most popular wholesome rides that's been in the parks for 30+ years... You're opinion is valid and I hope Disney is listening to this!!! 💔 What a waste of 2 rides!?!? 😮💨
So the story is, let's go to the bayou to find critters that can play for a party... That's it. Never acknowledge the mountain in the bayou or even develop any sort of story worth telling.
This ride was SO EASY to do right. Have Tiana exploring the bayou in search of Louis or Prince Naveen or something. Then have Dr. Facilier show up with his Friends From the Other Side warning you that you shouldn’t have entered the bayou, and he turns you into frogs. Then have the big climax you escaping Dr. Facilier and turning back into human, with the big end scene being Louis playing with Prince Naveen and the band. That would’ve been EASY and a home run, but nope, they make a boring ride about going to a party? Snooze fest. They turned one of the best thrilling and feel good rides into a bore.
It still would never have been a home run. They made this about race and their reason for replacing a good ride with this garbage about the need to be black. That's all this ever was about.
I just visited your two parks. Got up at 4 am so I could visit Fantasy Springs. Wow. Amazing. The Peter Pan ride was my favorite. Loved the Curry and the Soy Sauce flavored popcorn. Chocolate churros. That Beauty and the Beast ride was INCREDIBLE. I live in Hawaii and will be back when your new Space Mountain reopens. I love what the TLC is doing with your parks.
@@laser6170 There was always stuff to look at no matter where you were. Here they turned off all the lights so you can't even look around besides at the animatronics lol

I’m sorry but where’s the imagination? The story line they went with feels so empty when there’s no real sense of adventure, no suspense, no villain, and barely any conflict/plot. I wish that they had added Dr Facilier to the ride in some way, especially in the big drop, it would’ve been so much more exciting. Tiana deserves so much better than this snooze fest! They missed so many opportunities, I really wish they had based it off the movie instead because the movie and its soundtrack are amazing and it would’ve been a great fit for this ride. I hate to say it because I REALLY hoped they would prove me wrong and blow me away but I’m so disappointed
So basically my predictions of them ripping up sets and animatronics to just replace them with screens came true. I’m sorry but Disney needs a new Imagineering team (and new leadership), they can’t keep sucking the soul out of classic rides like this
Even Tiana’s animatronic looks bored on this ride. She sits on a stump and waits… and waits… and waits for you to finally get to her so she can drop one line. This is an “Adventure”?? It’s weird, sad, and most of all… boring.
Following Br'er Rabbit to his laughin' place, seeing him get captured by a hungry fox and then escaping down a 50ft waterfall was 100× more of an "Adventure" than whatever tf this snoozefest is. Disney screwed up BIG this time.
Could’ve also been a story… OR do what Spielberg did. He said there would never be a sequel to ET so he made the “sequel” into a theme park attraction. Whole new story line with familiar faces.
The real imagineers left Disney. They were the ones who understood that the fans are there for the storytelling. The animatronics aren't enough if they don't evoke emotion, excitement and a connection to beloved characters. Music needs to be catchy - heck, even small world has people humming the tune. This just feels 'empty'.
It's clear all the best people are gone. Say what you want about Eisner, but he would have never made Splash Mountain something you could take a nap on.
Tiana and Splash Mountain both deserved better. Treasure your park memories and watch the original movie. Don't expect anything of quality from Disney going forward and you'll avoid more disappointment.
I think they wanted to beat the bloggers to the punch...but conveniently makes it easier for them to directly see just how much they're getting dragged for this.
They're checking the feedback of the ride since if it fails it's bad for them and especially since splash mountain was such a people eater they wanna know if it will be the same
Damn. At the very LEAST they should have only refurbished one Splash Mountain to begin with, just in case of backlash like this. But nope, they destroyed two perfectly good rides simultaneously. Shot themselves in both feet, leaving them with nothing left to stand on. 🤦♂️ They wanted to do something food related with Tiana? All they had to do was build Tiana's Palace and put a Louis animatronic on the stage with a live jazz band.
Splash Mountain was probably my favorite ride. It's so sad to see Disney's slow slide to irrelevance. I'm a former DVC memeber and annual pass holder. I have 3 kids and hoped to take my grandchildren to experience the magic I enjoyed as a kid, but it's long gone. RIP Walts' vision.
Ngl, this comment section gives me hope. Glad to see Disney fans are refusing to settle for mediocre trash now amd and are actually demanding better from the company.
There are still a lot of bootlickers out there unfortunately. Some of these people think every decision the company makes is a brilliant idea simply because Disney.
Idk but 3 mins where literally nothing is happening but little music and a boat ride was hit with missed opportunities to begin the story telling lol. Could’ve been more mama odi, Tiana looks like shit, and the ending with the best animatronics and everyone there is ruined for how quick the part goes away bc the boat ironically picks up the most speed at this part for no reason. BOOOOOOOOOOO DISNEY COULDVE DONE BETTER SND THIS IS WHY I GO TO UNIVERSAL. Disney just wants money from yall, didn’t put that much effort clearly. There’s too many parts where nothing is happening or shitty animatronics that barely move are all over the place. AND THE TV screens kill any magic created I’m sorry…. Except the part with the lightning bugs that was the most creative way to use the TV screen.. booooo

Splash Mountain didn't die because of Epic Universe. It died because this new ride was a knee jerk reaction to George Floyd's death and Disney didn't want to be seen as "racist."

Disney execs, if you're confused by all the negative responses, call a meeting and have everyone in that building watch The Princess and the Frog, then go on this attraction. You'll have your answers.
As an experiment (since maybe they are confused) they should announce plans to BRING BACK the old SPLASH MOUNTAIN! and then watch the reaction. Of course most of us would be dubious waiting with baited breath like folks from Missouri to SEE if it was actually completed to do it justice.

This butchering of what was one of the most beloved rides in Disney history confirms it… we are officially in the second Disney dark age. Disney is now completely severed from their audience. Please wake me up when the second Disney renaissance happens (hopefully I’m still alive for it.)
This current generation is post-Disney. Disney does not and cannot exist anymore. Disney mostly died when Walt died. Walt Disney World's opening three years later was his last hurrah. EPCOT, the Disney Channel, movies, and such after that were like an Alt-Disney, not directly attributable, if at all, to Walt's visions. Everything after EPCOT is decidedly post-Disney -- not Disney at all. /one man's opinion
@stevenramseyjr2032 Eh….I feel like most projects Walt would have liked up until this past decade. Walt would have loved Splash Mountain, Expedition Everest and Tower of Terror. This past decade or so is where it started going downhill. Too many activists and executives just wanting to shove IP into everything and less and less creatives working on projects. They really need some new people at the top again.

Whelp, about the only good thing about this ride is going to be short lines. There is a zero re-rideability factor because there is no story line to promote emotional connection or anything visually stunning. Shame on you, Disney!
Tiana's Bayou Adventure is "visually stunning". I don't believe people rode Splash Mountain because it was "visually stunning" considering how bad they let the upkeep of this attraction get. I think people just like getting wet on 80+ degree days at theme parks.
Disney what are you even doing here. You guys are literally ruining EVERYTHING movie and TV wise. The one thing you had going for you was the parks and now you’re doing this. At this point it almost feels like you’re trying to do poorly.
You and everyone else know why everything is being ruined. “Inclusivity”. The wrong people are at the helm, they cater to a tiny audience and shit all over the real loyal fans.
Ironically this ride could be seen as offensive. If you know your Louisiana history there was a major industrial accident that involved a flooded salt dome. Also some salt domes were worked on by slaves. Kinda weird to have a water ride in a salt dome based on my state..
Apparantly its not offensive to destroy something beautiful. If they had actual imagination, they could have used Uncle Remus and the ride to make ammends or at least shed light on a time in history that some people would rather forget. Well, now its easier to forget! So maybe that was the goal!
Such a missed opportunity to not have Facilier on the ride! His shadow couldve been causing mayhem in the bayou while we're trying to get to Tiana's party. Then we're steered towards Facilier's spirit for the big drop before we're rescued by Mama Odie and make it to the celebration with Tiana and friends!
I really have to agree with you. This revamp needed an element of darkness to balance out the overt and unnecessary saccharinity which was added to the storyline of this attraction. Every Disney attraction has this dark element. It is what makes the parks work. Everybody survives the evil and gets to win. This is why Walt coined the phrase "The Happiest Place on Earth." He wanted to set the guest up to always feel like they survived their own fears and nightmares-they get to win! In this version of the story, being "shrunk down." is more presented as of a novelty than an actual bad thing. Even Mary Poppins only gives us only a spoon full of sugar to help the medicine go down, not the entire bag! I truly wish the projection fireflies were better. I would expect such amateurish schlock from Knotts or Six Flaggs, yet Disney? WTF? Has leadership actually laid off so many animators there were no FX animators sitting around with some idle time to create some believable fireflies? I certainly hope WDI can fix this trashy effect before the more discerning eyes of their Disneyland audience gaze upon this glaring oversight. Credit does goto the greenery design team though! Makes me wish they could give Pirates and Mansion a little cosmetic refresh! I would love to see what they could do with a little $$$$ to two 50+ year old attractions which continue to draw in the crowds and merchandise $$$$ which = Brand-Banking (execs reading these comments)

Please design a ride for the disney movie princess and the frog with the ride layout of splash mountain. Describe what in each scence happens and how it is themed
ChatGPT:
Designing a ride for "The Princess and the Frog" using the layout of Splash Mountain involves creating scenes that reflect key moments and themes from the movie. Here's a detailed description of the ride, scene by scene:
Queue Area:
Guests enter the queue, themed as the bustling streets of New Orleans. Jazz music fills the air, and guests pass by storefronts and markets, immersing them in the lively culture of the city. Posters of Tiana's restaurant and various characters from the movie can be seen.
Boarding Area:
Guests board log boats at the docks by the bayou. The loading area is decorated with bayou vegetation, fireflies, and rustic charm, setting the scene for an adventure into the swamps of Louisiana.
Scene 1: Introduction (New Orleans)
The ride begins in the heart of New Orleans. Guests float past Tiana's Palace, where animatronic figures of Tiana and Charlotte are seen discussing their dreams. The city's architecture, jazz bands, and lively atmosphere are depicted with vibrant colors and music.
Scene 2: Bayou Encounter
The logs drift into the bayou.
Facilier's Voodoo
The mood shifts as guests enter a darker part of the bayou. They are greeted by eerie music and glowing masks. Animatronics of Dr. Facilier and his shadowy friends appear, showing the scene where he tries to trick Naveen and Tiana. The atmosphere is filled with suspense and magic.
Scene 4: Mama Odie's Magic
The logs ascend a gentle incline, entering Mama Odie's treehouse. The scene is bright and colorful, with animatronics of Mama Odie, Tiana, Naveen, and various magical objects. Mama Odie sings "Dig a Little Deeper," offering advice and wisdom. The room sparkles with light and energy.
Scene 5: Journey Through the Swamp
The ride transitions to an outdoor scene where guests float through the bayou, encountering various wildlife and the bayou residents. Music and sounds of nature create an immersive experience, highlighting the beauty and mystery of the Louisiana swamps.
Scene 6: Conflict and Resolution
Guests enter a tense scene where Tiana and Naveen confront Dr. Facilier in a final showdown. Animatronics and special effects depict the intense battle, culminating in Dr. Facilier being dragged into the spirit world by his shadowy friends. The tension peaks, preparing guests for the upcoming drop.
Scene 7: The Big Drop
The logs climb the final lift hill. At the top, guests see Tiana and Naveen transformed back into humans, realizing their love for each other. The view from the top shows the beautiful bayou and New Orleans skyline before the log plunges down the thrilling drop.
Scene 8: Celebration
After the exhilarating drop, the logs drift into a joyous scene of celebration. Animatronics of Tiana, Naveen, Louis, Ray (now a star), and other characters are seen celebrating at Tiana's Palace. The scene is filled with music, dancing, and vibrant decorations, capturing the festive spirit of New Orleans.

It feels like a Disney junior episode instead of an emotional thrill ride with an actually good story.
I think the general consensus is at least try to have a story arc. They released previews of two new Country Bears songs, and the talent is really good, but did anyone ask for country versions of Try Everything and A Whole New World? I don't think so. EXACTLY I WANTED TO SEE THAT!!
But this ride takes place after the movie
It takes place after the movie so obviously he’s gone. Pay attention so you don’t make stupid comments 🤣
Bro same
From laughing place to laughing stock
😂
The only thing I'm laughing at is your sad channel that no one watches. 😂
@@crassmonkey18 and I’m laughing at how boring you are because you like this bullshit
Well, we never said it was Disney's Laughing Place, just Disney's Laughing Stock.
@@crassmonkey18The only thing I’m laughing at is how u have nothing better to do other than insult people 😂
Ngl, this comment section gives me hope. Glad to see Disney fans are refusing to settle for mediocre trash now amd and are actually demanding better from the company.
Same! 🎉
In what ways is this mediocre trash?????
I blame the ppl in charge who let this ball drop, someone lame and un fun is in charge of imagineering and needs to be fired ASAP
Yes! Exactly! I was so ready for the onslaught of people defending Disney for their laziness and lack of ingenuity and storytelling here!
There are still a lot of bootlickers out there unfortunately.
Some of these people think every decision the company makes is a brilliant idea simply because Disney.
Wow, this makes The Three Caballeros ride at Epcot look exciting.
I said the same thing. LOL. At least there's a story.
And the music is actually catchy and gets stuck in your head. “Three Caballeros Three Gay Caballeros”
This makes superstar limo look like Mr toad or rocket rods look like space mountain
Maybe we were too hard on those rides
Reading all the comments, I'm so glad I'm not alone in thinking how utterly boring and visually uninteresting this is.
womp womp
It looks so boring
Bingo.
YES THANK YOU!!
Except the part with the lightning bugs that was the most creative way to use the TV screen.. booooo
Thank goodness Tokyo Disneyland exists.
It wont for much longer. Disney has placed limitations on the use of the song and might stop merch sales.
At this point, Tokyo seems like the only Disney parks that still have the original quality and vision that Walt had. And it’s not even run by Disney
The irony of Japan protecting America's great legacies...
This tho!
@@Banjo_Tails - That is true but Tokyo Disneyland’s Splash Mountain is apparently receiving a completely different theme. The rumor is it will be “Pocahontas”. Just like how Disneyland Paris’ upcoming Splash Mountain will be theme to “The Lion King”.
This is the ride that Disney created to rival Universal’s Epic Universe and I think we all know who will win the battle.
Yea Disney has lost its ability to create new creative rides and by next year I feel like Universal’s going to take a lot of Disney’s crowds with Epic Universe
Splash Mountain didn't die because of Epic Universe. It died because this new ride was a knee jerk reaction to George Floyd's death and Disney didn't want to be seen as "racist."
@@greg5509 I know it obviously didn’t die to Epic because it’s not out yet. I agree It got replaced because some woke people found out and complained about a movie that wasn’t even racist but took place during racist times.
@@Sports_editz82 I personally own a DVD copy of Song of the South, and it's not offensive. Every day, liberals try to find something new to be offended over, so it was only a matter of time before Splash Mountain became their target.
Yep and it is not even close
I want splash mountain back whos with me
Disney execs, if you're confused by all the negative responses, call a meeting and have everyone in that building watch The Princess and the Frog, then go on this attraction. You'll have your answers.
Amen.
It was a fun movie with a lovable lead character, a wonderful score, and an uplifting message.
As an experiment (since maybe they are confused) they should announce plans to BRING BACK the old SPLASH MOUNTAIN! and then watch the reaction. Of course most of us would be dubious waiting with baited breath like folks from Missouri to SEE if it was actually completed to do it justice.
You seriously replaced an iconic ride with this?
And blek people are overcome with joy at being represented, like this, with this. Sad
@@PresidentBr0wnVagena2024
I'm black and I still prefer Splash Mountain . WITH the racism and slave allegory .
@@PleaseMurderMyFamily no one has clearly provided an example of claimed racism maybe you'll be the first yawn
They replaced The Great Movie Ride and Maelstrom with two vastly inferior rides. Why are we surprised?
@@tbone6690True, but Runaway Railway and Frozen Ever After are fine and neither Great Movie Ride nor Maelstrom were as iconic and amazing as Splash Mountain.
After 30-odd years, Knott’s Berry Farm’s Timber Mountain Log Ride has finally regained its title of “Best Flume Ride in the United States”.
If Dudley do right’s ripsaw falls wasn’t ridden with outdated animatronics that could very well be #1
I love Timber Mountain and glad that ride's stayed largely the same all these years just with some renovations here and there! :)
Yes it has!!
Not the world, though... Chaiapas at Phantasialand runs circles around that.
and Splash Mountain in Tokyo lives on
WHY is Tiana dressed like a ZOOKEEPER??! 😭
Because any woman that dresses nice is problematic they did the same to Jessica rabbit
I thought she was dressed for a safari.

Me too! And the Rivers of America disappearing..... This is just soulesss executives chopping at my childhood dreams. What a nightmare!
I’m confused, isn’t she supposed to be a princess? Why is she dressed like a nineteenth century big game hunter?
the woke pathetic company disney is, they decided it'll be a "great idea" to have us follow Tiana throughout to help her get spices in Louisiana (mind you new orleans doesn't have mountains) and that's the story ... how cool
Exactly. They should've had her in her iconic dress, or they could've easily given her a new one.
A princess can wear more than just a dress smh why she gotta wear a dress running around the bayou?
Yes… where is her Prince? Why aren’t they dressed up!
@@ssgorik Yeah but she can also girlboss in a dress. Also Princess in the Frog takes place in the 1920s, so realistically she would be wearing a dress.
When the comments are more thrilling than the ride.......
I laughed out loud when I read this! So true!
If you don't have anything positive to say about this ride, SHUT UP!!!!
@@kingofthedepths3513 whoa why so serious?

This might be the most boring dark ride I've ever seen
Universal: “We’re creating an entire theme park which is packed full of amazing ideas! Disney, what are you up to?”
Disney: “Uhhhh, going down the bayou! Hey, do you have any spare engineers… anything helps!”
Have you heard about the 17 billion dollars Disney is spending on an entirely new park🤪
@@grilledchz531 Yup, just to try and compete with universal, it’s not an original idea it’s purely competition.
They piggyback off of each other all the time I personally love both of them and they are both always going to be competitive, I don’t think one is better than the other, I simply just love them both for what they are.
@@grilledchz531 I do like Universal slightly more than Disney, because of my love for rollercoasters and Harry Potter, but I do agree that both are amazing parks.
I wasn’t a fan of the Tiana ride but Tron and Gaurdians where insane and I hope a lot of new rides similar to them come with the new park.
Also I’m hoping the new Disney park will even out wait times, they get super extreme nowadays.
Whelp, about the only good thing about this ride is going to be short lines. There is a zero re-rideability factor because there is no story line to promote emotional connection or anything visually stunning.
Shame on you, Disney!
The lines are not going to be short lol
@@milede Lots of people are going to re ride it. People re ride attractions way worse than this at Disney.
@@JSwag_Reviews Lmao give me a break, freaks like you were always going to be here complaining about this retheme. No matter the outcome.
It’s gonna be like web slingers busy and then ppl are like ok I did it no need to do it again
Leftism ruins everything.
A company that that thinks they're number one gets arrogant, fast.
You and everyone else know why everything is being ruined. “Inclusivity”. The wrong people are at the helm, they cater to a tiny audience and shit all over the real loyal fans.
😅 so true. Disney forward looks less appealing if these imagineers are involved.
Everything woke turns to sh*t…Disney included.
Iger said it was boring. This video just confirmed it.
Bob Iger approved this.
Disney destroyed Splash Mountain because it was offensive, to no one.
Now they created a new ride, that has impressed, no body.
Ironically this ride could be seen as offensive. If you know your Louisiana history there was a major industrial accident that involved a flooded salt dome. Also some salt domes were worked on by slaves. Kinda weird to have a water ride in a salt dome based on my state..
Ikyfl TIANAS BETTER THIS IS RASICM
Have you rode it yet?
Apparantly its not offensive to destroy something beautiful. If they had actual imagination, they could have used Uncle Remus and the ride to make ammends or at least shed light on a time in history that some people would rather forget. Well, now its easier to forget! So maybe that was the goal!
Such a missed opportunity to not have Facilier on the ride! His shadow couldve been causing mayhem in the bayou while we're trying to get to Tiana's party. Then we're steered towards Facilier's spirit for the big drop before we're rescued by Mama Odie and make it to the celebration with Tiana and friends!
someone give this person a job with disney 😭😭😭😭
This is much better said than the previous critical ones.
Yup
It’s a crime Facilier ain’t in this at all.
