WE FOUND A BOAT!

- Опубликовано: 12 окт 2017
- We found an abandoned fishing boat on Lake Okeechobee. Brandon’s excited because he thinks he has a new boat, but only if we can get it unstuck from the mud. We have to use everything we have to get this thing, from air boats to saltwater boats and extra rope. This turns into an extremely hard and dangerous job. Hope You Enjoy!

Hey guys it looks like someone is trying hurt the channel. They have assigned a "Bot" to create a bunch of dislikes on this video and I am sure some of the future uploads. I just heard today from several other guys this is happening to them as well. The best way to help offset this is if you enjoyed the video please hit "like" and also leave a comment. I feel bad from Brandon because he thinks 1000 people don't like the video...lol....I told him it would be ok...:)
We will reach out to RUclips to fix the issue....Thanks for the support!
That's so sad....btw keep going guys! Best RUclips fishing channel on earth!!! Italy loves you Scott, Brandon and all the crew XD
I liked this video the day it came out. I just revisited it with the news of the dislike "Bot" and my like had somehow been removed.
Jason Raines ?? Ran out of gas on top of a giant 100yr wide floating island...you're really on point with your speculations ..👍🏻👍🏻
Scott Martin good video, you guys check out mine.
Thanks
Scott Martin bh
The ending was the best, "That should of been my boat"......
Next time use an old rubber tire half way in between on your rope. The energy gets transferred into the stretch of the tire and will pull it out.
Ken those ropes had more stretch than 5 tires. Tires are good though when pulling with chain
Just messed up this guys insurance claim. 😂
In 'hick', that's pronounced INsurance.
just saved his backside from an O.V.I . i'm guessing he forgot to inform the local police about the beer. kinda explains how the boat got there.
I was thnikin the same thing. He knows better than to hang his boat up like that! There's more to this story...
Kaptain Kmann there nothing wrong with having beer on the boat man as long as your under .08 your good
@@rb6troling729 boating and alcohol don't mix that's what my dad always told me
Brandon, I loved Part 1 of this “Found a Boat,” episode! Never thought I’d witness Scott’s boat on fire, and then you add an abandoned boat! Great job, guys! Forget about the trolls. Y’all are doing a great job!
LMAO Brandon "There goes my boat" waves.... :)

"Goodbye my love!" Lloyd Christmas.
You are an ass jackatmtn
Super nice deed man you helped him and you didn’t even know him mad respect for fisherman like you
Scott is a class act! I fished a BFL tournament as a co-angler along time ago, like close to 30 yrs or so long, guessing out of Clewiston and we were parked beside him in the water waiting to go out. He was just as real and friendly as he is in these videos. So don’t be haters, this guy paid his dues and earned his way. He was kind to me and I know this is his nature. My wife and I love his videos and they are very entertaining. Keep up the good work. Brandon is cool too!
This was 20 years ago not 30! 2000. Sorry Scott is not that old! When you get old like me you can’t remember anything. Lol.
For all the haters calling Scott and crew thieves, they obeyed maritime salvage laws. They rescued the boat, then they contacted the authorities with the proper identification on the boat. Had the boat been a drug runner boat, the "rightful owners" would never have came to claim it. The ice in the cooler let them know the boat hadn't been there too long, and legally they have the right to be compensated for the recovery, providing they asked for it.
There's no telling if that is what happened off camera, but if it did, they more than earned it. If they did spend 6 hours and breaking several tow ropes and damage to their own boats, they deserve some kind of compensation even if it's a check from the guy's boat insurance.
At the end of the day, they returned the boat to the rightful owner and even if they didn't charge him anything because he's a fellow angler, he might return the favor one day for them or for someone else in need. Why can't people just take the good without finding the bad in everything?
How about because he didn't even wait for the damn ice to melt in the cooler. He should have called DNR when it was found and reported it, or called the owner before he touched it. The boat was in no immediate danger, and was not a danger to anyone else. Had he damaged the boat trying to yank it out, would that have been ok? Well who knows because he never tried to contact the owner until AFTER he did all this shit trying to get it.
Yep. They KNEW it wasn’t fucking “abandoned” the moment he saw ice in the cooler still! They were just hoping to steal a boat.
Yeah I wouldn’t pay him shit , did the owner call him and ask to have it pulled out no they did it on their own . When I push someone’s car out of a snow bank I don’t then go and ask for money ! They pulled it out so they could keep it! that is stealing. Now they did do the right thing by contacting authorities. Lucky they didn’t wreck the guys boat he could have sued the shit out of them what this being the great United States of lawyers
@@whosaidthat5236 if i'm not mistaken consumption of alcohol while operating a boat is something both law enforcement and lawyers alike would be interested in . the guy had the equipment and knowledge to properly retrieve the boat so he did, end of story. I didn't think he really ever thought it was going to be a gimme situation, that I took more as a joke than anything serious. if it wasn't why even show there was still ice on board. why plainly show the reg. numbers on the hall. could be that not contacting certain people prior saved this guy an o.v.i. . have you given that any thought. call out what you think is one crime while you ignore others ????? sounds like government thinking to me.
As the famous reddit comment reads: "Today you, tomorrow me."
Y'all are great guys to go thru all of that in order to get that boat out. I'm sure the owner was SO APPRECIATIVE
I NEVER comment on videos. However, seeing all the negativity and also that Scott mentioned a bot attacking this video's reputation I decided I need to because I support the channel, Scott, and everything he does for the sport that I love. Scott is progressing the sport of fishing in many ways. Not only competitively, where he continues to show his worth and talent as well as his integrity and respect for his fellow angler and competitor as well as his love and respect for the sport, the outdoors, the industry and the business' that live inside the industry making the life of a fisherman possible. I don't see why or how anybody who commented negatively on this video or mentioned that he was "trying to steal the boat" could possibly draw that conclusion from this video, especially if you follow Scott and his channel. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with Brandon desiring the boat or having hope that it was a result of something where there were no registered owners like theft or narcotics trade. Personally, I would have hoped the SAME THING. Who wouldn't find it nice to have the possibility of getting a Salt Water ready fishing boat at the cost of a single days work and innovation? That was a rhetorical question, because I believe that no matter how righteous anybody tries to act the answer is NO ONE. Firstly, we don't know if Scott planned this ahead of time and had already talked to the owner before doing him a MASSIVE favor; filming the episode the way he did for theatrical purposes. If that was the case, I see nothing wrong with that; we watch this for entertainment and in that case that's what Scott was doing, entertaining us. If that was not the case, he removed a massive item of litter from a wild place, did a guy a giant favor, and has video evidence of it all as well as the scene of the boat "crash" if the owner did want to file a claim. What's more, he called the owner immediately after the boat was safe and salvaged. I'm going to presume that Scott didn't ask for any compensation what so ever for this. How can this be a negative thing? Those who say it was literally boggle my mind.
I meant to add the other way Scott is progressing the industry, that is he is progressing the sport in media by paving uncharted territory in doing business via media with fishing essentially opening a door for other fisherman to follow in his footsteps doing what they love. If you don't believe that, in my opinion, it means you're lazy and don't let yourself believe it because you don't want to accept the fact that you are scared of the hard work and uncertainty that would be caused by chasing such a wonderful sounding life and dream.
Scott, my grandpa found a boat back in the 70’s adrift off the fla keys.
Him and his buddies decided they’d salvage the boat so they towed it back to Miami.
Long story short ,the FBI came knocking on his door a week later for questioning.
The boat was owned by someone who vanished.Could have been a smuggling or drug deal gone wrong, or maybe he fell out, nobody really knows.
The details I know from the story are that the boat had a bunch of supplies, ice chest, carton of smokes, water, beer.
My grandpa past 3 years ago.He was a fine southern gentlemen and outdoorsman, watching him fish was like poetry in motion.
Whenever I watch you and Roland, it reminds me of our fishing trips together.
He loved all types of fishing, especially snook. He caught everything Florida had to offer but he had the knack for snookin’.
Thisis why Scott is so great. Totally enjoyed his father and now we have Scott.Respect
Dude must’ve been shit housed to run that up on there like that. I’m no detective but, cooler half full of beer tells the tale.
it was a yeti cooler so possible
my thoughts exactly
U mean shitfaced
yes
Then how's there no people claiming to have it
Awesome job Scott. GOD will bless you for what you did for that guy
Bless your heart for giving the man his boat back!! Love your shows
That’s the # 1 thing I like , boaters helping boaters. I remember helping tow a boat bigger then mine back to the ramp once and it was like 22 ft and my boat is a 13 ft whaler and a few weeks later the same guy towed me in. Crazy world lol. Helped a fellow whaler owner tow his 17 ft montaulk in and he gave me the mahogany wood seats that he didn’t need for free
that dudes "STAY GOLDEN" golden girls shirt killed me. Stay classy my friend.

You did a good deed! As a fisherman/boater, you know this will return 10 fold! Be proud to lend a hand anytime. I just subscribed to channel.
After you spent hours trying to get that thing unstuck I imagine it was very tempting to keep it, yet You done the right thing by giving the boat back to the rightful owner, another fellow angler. That’s sportsmanship at its finest,it doesn’t get no better than this you earned a new subscriber. 👌
Scott Martin your a good kind man you did the right thing you always been kind person your freind will get him a boat soon from his good deeds what comes around goes around it will be paid forward over time
start a gofundme for brandon, get him a kayak lol
Intex makes an inflatable for like $70. Figure if we all pitch in a dime or two we could have him on the water in no time.
In theory an inflatable paddling pool would float right? There you go, a boat for under five dollars.

Yes go fund Brandon HE should have a boat HE wants,,great idea make it legit and people would give.
Good Job Guys!!! Good deed done...really proud of y'all.Sorry Brandon...LMAO. Maybe the next one.
Scott: Well we did our good deed for the day!
Brandon: *crickets*
You did your good deed never mind the haters

That is by far, one of the most generous efforts I have Ever seen on RUclips. You deserve a huge pat on the back, and a REAL Man's handshake for that. Thanks for your Honesty. It is A rare thing these days. Great Video.
Oh that guy was drunk off his ass for sure.
Andrew Miller litt🔥🔥🔥
Scott dude, awesome! Not too many people would have gone to all that trouble then honestly try to find the owner. I think most would have just left it, and a few may have even taken it and kept it or sold it.
Great job fellas!

If Scott Martin pulled my boat out and gave it back I would be one happy SOB! The least I would do is buy a round of beer and have him give me some of them fishin' tricks he's got. Been a FL boy my whole life and not everyone would do a good deed like that my hat goes off to Scott.
Another great video Scott. You are one amazing guy. Thank you for being a blessing to mankind.
I really enjoy your genuine laid back lifestyle, and how you live. Your posts are interesting.
Scott, you're a good man. 8 hours plus and didnt ask that man for anything in return. The world needs more of YOU!!!
Travis Davis he’s man of karma!
seatow would have charged how much??
ive rescued 2 people now out in the atlantic ocean. its a close knit community. ive also been rescued twice now when i had an overheating problem
Travis Davis good guy ? He thought he was getting a free boat
he did ask for mony right when he sowed up thats y it is not of vid the guy in this vid is skum guys got a mill plus and he needs a mans boat for free to steal a mans boat maby he dident no i was gone for over 90 days all well u lost it wth no its sick
Good job Scott and Brandon. That’s the Christ likeness in you guys!
Good to see guys who know what being country still means. Love that y'all got that guy his boat back
Legally, do do have a salvage claim. You don't automatically "get the boat", but you are entitled to salvage costs and a monetary reward depending on the value of the boat.
Yea but on old boats who really is going to put a high taxable value on it ? My boats literally worth 7500nada but is registered for 300$.. costs me 23$ a year for taxes n registration,. Lol. Truck pulling it is shittier and that damn thing costs me 263$ a year..
In this case I'd assumed it to be probably around 25%. As there's no imminent threat it be hard-pressed to get a 100% value under salvage law. It's amazing the number of people commenting on here with no clue about the law that think they're geniuses 🤦🏼♂️. It's dumbfounding how little people know about Google lol.
That poor young man was all excited 😂🤣. Well hey you guys kick serious serious ass, that was really cool.
You should buy Brandon a boat. That would be an awesome video and a great deed!
Glad you found the owner and no one was hurt, its always a reward in itself to be able and help others you're a class act!
Scott and Brandon VOLUNTEERED their time to retrieve the vessel, and of course there is a cost to do that. You have to be willing to eat that cost knowing this in advance. Knowing they might be able to make a claim or not is a crap shoot. At the end of the day everyone wins because nobody was hurt and everyone got back out on to the water. Everyone needs to help fellow boaters out no matter the circumstances, you never know when you might need a tow!
robbynelson3
The guy could at least given Scott some gas money.
James Smith they made enough money with this video alone
That was cool as hell! Bless you guys.
Good deeds equal more championship fishing. Make it happen Scott and Brandon
Great Job Guys! This world needs more good samaritans like ya'll.... thank you for your kindness....
Scott your lucky to have found Brandon, he completes the show. You got a hookup for Brandon on a new Ranger😉
Plus he has hired the best drone driver in the area. Tell him to forget about a boat and invest in a Motor RV that has a deeper hole to pump money into it and maybe get you-all up to Sturgis and Montana to see us. Just freeze for 9ine months or dodge range fires only concern.
Holy shit batman......ice cold michelob ultras!!!!! That's what's up! 👍🏼
i heard that!

Thanks Scott and Brandon! Scott, I was your co at Wheeler one year. Been following your career. Appreciate your helping this guy and many others.
Sorry Brandon... But that was awesome of you guys to get that boat out. You both Rock!!!
You'll get your boat brandon, probably sooner than you think because you are a good person. I pray for your success buddy !
lmaoooo epic! Brandon "there goes my boat... my boat..." lol
I have twin 300 E tecs on my 35' deck boat. When I originally built the deck boat I had a planned on a single 300 mercury outboard. Then a 300 E tec dropped into my lap and on it went . performance wasnt exciting or even adequate for the intended purpose and design. But the conversion to Twin 300 E tecs made all the difference in the world. It increased my cruising speed to a easy 50 mph at half throttle with 6 adults on board + a additional 300 lbs of ice chests etc. Its capable of running 75 - 78 mph at 2/3 of WOT and will run about 80 - 81 mph at WOT on flat water. But the fuel consumption almost doubles between 2/3 and WOT . So 2/3 WOT is the most I push it . The best part was my maneuverability and responsiveness improved dramatically at all speeds. And Great economy considering the performance they provide and piece of mind having 2 engines to rely on instead of 1.
Omg!! I love how Brandon is longing after the boat as the guy pulls away. That was an awesome thing you did by getting it out for the owner.
I would have run the numbers first, and then ask the guy if you wanted you to get it for a fee
Just run the numbers, find the owner and make sure he is ok. End of story. They might have damaged it trying to get it out and then what?
To bad by law he dosnt have to pay anything to get it if they had decided not to return it after someone claimed it then they could be suied for not returning to the owners
Novel idea..however : Offering services without proper license and insurance puts you the "Tow Boat" liable for any and all incurred damages because you "Solicited an agreement". You have got to be very careful with that stuff. I'm a tow truck driver & let me tell you, people will screw you to the proverbial cross if given a chance. No matter how noble your efforts. If your up shits-creek, try seatow . Chances are your insurance will cover it or in some part.
Created Content. Fake.
@@7riverseast217 I think I'm with this guy, if they would have damaged it that guy could and would win a suit !
that dude should have offered to pay for the recovery at least
He didn't offer anything? Man, towing charges??
He didn't ask them to do that, they should've ran the numbers first and figured it out before wasting the time. Instead because of the prospect of getting a free boat they rushed to extract it without getting any of the details.
@@e3IZrZ maybe the guy offered to buy them a beer or lunch for getting his boat out because as a boat I know getting a stuck boat can be super hard and a ton of work like this was. I have read how maritime law handles abandoned boats, boat towing and related issues. A boat owner can loose a boat if not careful.
@@BB-jf6lx My point is I don't feel like that guy should have to do anything for them. I am sure he probably did something for them as a thank you, but in that situation I would've looked into the status of the boat's registration and ownership first before spending an afternoon getting the boat unstuck.
@@e3IZrZ yes, you, I and others, but for sure that wouldn't have made for good channel content
Very gentlemanly of you to help out a guy like that!
Thanks Scott for getting my boat out. Somehow I misplaced it. If you could get it back up to Minnesota for me I'd be more than happy to give you a $100 finder fee.
Scott,
So glad to see you were able to help a fellow fisherman.
In this " ME ME ME" world, it's refreshing to see a man helping out another.....!!!!!!!
Phil.Paula Stocks tell he didn't quite there for the other gentleman in the first place he did it for the other guy so he can get him a boat it's only after they got the boat back to Shoreline they figure it out who was that own it but it's nice that they gave it back to the owner even if they wouldn't have done that they would have got in trouble I would have gotten some serious trouble
SpinnerWorm deserves a boat. He's the GOAT.
Travis Davis maybe he gets Scotts boat from this season once the new one comes around
Good for you Scott! What goes around comes around. 🤙🏼
Great job...great video....great people!!!
There was cold beer in the cooler! Drone footage is awesome.
That boat wasn’t just stuck, it was solidly run a ground!
Scott, great job! I've met your dad several times over the years and had a long 1hr conversation several years ago at Bass Pro. I like how you took the "High Road" with the boat rescue deal. Yeah I understand how you and Brandon could have gotten rights to the boat (I would have considered it too), but that ruling is basically meant for derelict abandon boats and boats that went adrift from a storm. But this guy had genuinely got it stuck and was in a bad place and was trying to figure out how he could get it out there. So, you did a good deal! Former LaBelle boy here, grew up on the Calusahatchee and use to fish Lake O all the time, tho I'm a saltwater fishing junkie! LoL
atta' boys! Way to help your fellow boaters / fisherman / people of earth.
That would have made a good Evinrude Motor commercial!
Scott and Brandon deserves ALL AND MORE LIKES on this video for all that hard works!!!
LOL He is working that story to the owner boy. lol Almost died trying to get your boat.
You gave that man a great deal of help... that boat would have been in 10k parts if you did not find it and give it back 👍you did the right thing I hope he at least gave you the beer👍
if someone did that for me I'd be really happy. it would prbly cost a hell of a lot more to have a professional pull it out
I hope he had the decency to give y'all something man, don't expect it bit y'all deserved it
Man you guys are awesome you went out of your way to get the boat out and even called the law to find the guy then called the man to come get his boat!! I would of gave you 200 for your troubles . But you guys rock!!!
Scott Martin, this is why I love watching your videos! Absolutely perfect example of an upstanding professional to the sport and respect to other anglers. Great job keeping it fun and a good message how important it is to make sure you know your surroundings. Great job fellas!

I think that you did a very good thing by giving the guy his boat back. Billy will just have to win a tournament to get his own boat...:-)
much respect very good guys,
But I do believe that should be 2 cases off beer or 2 bottles of bourben
Awesome video guys and well done on your find, congratulations. The owner of the boat is a very lucky man for it to be found by you guys who are honest and retrieved it. You guys rock.
New to channel but am enjoying your videos greatly! It is really uplifting to see someone such as yourself having so much fun fishing with family and friends! This is what life should be about instead of all the negativity that is currently in the world. Thank you and your family for taking the time to share the fun and excitement of fishing. I would absolutely love to be able to go fishing with you!
So how'd the guy get out of there? Lol. Man such vast acres of land and water it'd be so hard to explain where you're at especially if you don't have GPS coordinates.
maybe he wasn't the only boat around at the time
Good Karma, you'll have your boat someday Brandon
Dan H I agree, probably sooner than he thinks :)
Great job guys, fun stuff - keep 'em coming! Oh, also on the 3 vehicle dump jobs-thanks!!! Take care, "GOD Bless", sincerely -

Buy Brandon a 14' flat bottom with a little 10hp... Spinnin' worm special.
I'm sure he could get it donated just for the marketing on the video.
Get him a 14' Jon Boat with a Jet Ski engine. He'll be able to go anywhere Scott does, plus fish, even in shallow water!

Wow didn’t even offer gas money. Seems like a fishy story to me
he might have off camera
Just because you didn't see it in the video doesn't mean it didn't happen...
True, lotta sketchy people now. Some people might have just pulled it out took the motor and what they could and left the hull. Dude got real lucky.
Brandon needs a Spinnerworm Battlewagon.
What's not to like? You guys have got it going! Keep up the good work. I like y'all fine!
Finders keepers, hahaha😀😀😀 You are a good person.
You two guys did a good deed and will be blessed in other ways someday for your generosity.
Depicted here is exactly why our current Florida law (NO salvage) makes the most sense and ultimately protects people and property.
Hi guys
Loved the fact that you did a good deed for a stranger. Who does favors these days.
Its a good deed when you do something kind with no expectations. Don't do something expecting to get paid. When you do for someone without getting paid anything.. That's a kind, good deed. You guys saw it and chose to pull it. That man didn't ask you to do it. It was a kind gesture from you to help. I'm sure you made his day.
How awesome would it be for Scott Martin to rescue your boat? Right? And I already had a name for it too. S.S SPINNER WORM. Good job guys.
fess w no not your boat. no such thing as salvage now after storms. most likely they have been paid off by the insurance company. if that is the case you have to buy it from the insurance company. there should be numbers on it, owner can be traced that way.
I got drunk and lost my boat one night, thank you for finding it.
Helping others out and that's awesome.
Great guy s. Martin dad would & is proud of you
