Last summer, a friend of mine and I were driving past a local fishing pond and noticed there was a car just under the surface of the water. The water level was low because of a lack of rain, so he called the cops to tell them there was a car in the pond. The cops and Fire dept came out and sent in a diver. Turned out, there was the body of a woman who had disappeared three years earlier. She must have just missed the turn of the road and went into the water. I really felt sad for her and her family, and how tragic it was for them to loose her and not know where she was and the panic she must have gone though the last moments of he life.
That happened here in South Florida about 20 years ago. They found a Van from the 70s in a canal, there was bones in the van. They were able make the license plate. It turned out to be 5 teenagers that went missing in 1979. The van was pulled out the canal and taken to a junkyard. Someone opened the doors to let the water out , beer bottles washed out along with 4 human skulls. They found an intact ID that confirmed it was the missing teens from that night.

Water creeps me out because of the fact that it hides so much horror and human suffering. It messes with my head to think about. I have a PADI license and all, but that nagging "I wonder what's down there." thought is always in my head whenever I see a large body of water.
@@gjsilvano : I'm sure he had more then a few beers and that it contributed to the accident. I've just never understood how a police station could have a Van with a bad muffler drive up over the curb cross a good sized lawn and end up in their fountain and remain there for twenty years. I'm saying they did anything wrong but to me its strange. I've had a fear of water since almost drowning as a kid. After my experience I made it a firm rule to stop and get some sleep or rest when doing long drives. Falling asleep at the wheel, I think is the thing that's scared me most. I didn't feel that tired , I was use to making the trips daily. Oddly enough Stairway to Heaven had started to play, so I don't know if it was a sign or a symptom putting me to sleep.
Florida is notorious for large boat and yacht dumping. Insurance, past due payments, unrepairable abandoned, etc. My brother and I use to find dozens of them all along Ft Lauderdale. Cops wait until a storm washes them ashore. Otherwise they sit at the bottom or float forever around the Atlantic. Costs a fortune to have them legally dumped, dismantled. Lots of stories of people missing, going back as the 1940's, found in Florida canals. I found a missing woman in her vehicle in a Minnesota river a few years ago. It was submerged. No way to know it was there unless you went to fish or possibly used a drone. I screamed at a fisherman to get up close with his boat. He verified. Family got some relief to know what happened. They think it was a medical issue she was known to have.
This isn't even tip of the iceberg of what's sitting at the bottom of lakes, rivers, and ponds,,everywhere Guns, human bones, and murder weapons, you name it Allot of which is settled so deep under mud that nobody will ever find any of it Pretty creepy to think about next time you go swimming at your favorite spot,.
Well done guys! And hey keep your eyes peeled, they solved a 25 yo homicide case in Kansas City about 10 years ago because of a good citizen like yourself. Closing that case finally allowed the parents to know what they always thought had happened to their baby daughter was true. They were able to bring their child (16) home, and lay her to rest, and to grieve her loss. Because the lake she was in is a deep spring fed, with very cold water lake, her body was intact after all these years, and so was the evidence that convicted her murderer. Justice! All of this because of a good man like you. 💋💞
You know the people that were using this as a dump spot are grateful that y’all cleaned it out. Now, they can fill it back up without worry of them sticking out of the water. 👍🏻
A member of my family who has since passed away from old age drove into a drainage pond one day. About 3-4 years ago it was the dead of winter in the middle of Ohio. We had just had a massive snow and ice storm and we had 8-10 inches of snow falling on top of that. My cousins grandpa was driving a 2WD S-10 to the store. He slid off the road and went into a drainage pond. His whole truck was submerged in freezing water. A random bystander driving by saw the whole thing. He got out of his car and dove into the freezing water. Meanwhile someone else called 9-11. That random bystander saved my cousins grandfathers life that day. Wild stuff. I fell asleep at the wheel one time and ended up having a semi blow his air horn at me as I headed straight for him. I got out of the way just in time. It’s amazing what can happen in a vehicle when you least expect it.
Kid from my hometown went off the road and into a pond and drowned. Thing is - The pond is about as small as it could possibly be and still be considered a pond. About 8 ft. deep though. It's probably 30 ft. in circumference. The people that dug it probably didnt even think of someone driving into it.
Glad you found those vehicles. This is one hell of a fishing story that was too true to be believed.. At least you recorded this fishing story... You can say you caught three big catches and your pole was to small to retrieve them so you had to call in for a larger, much larger, hook to get you catch.... Thanks again for cleaning up the environment. Thanks to all the folks involved in the whole process.
Anyone else notice at 12:42 the cop has his weapon drawn, LOL Like he's preparing for the possibility that someone held their breath for, oh let's say a couple years, and now they're going to jump out from behind the back seat and attack him? LOL LOL

now a few years ago, I was fishing the Blue River, in Kansas when I ran into a man who told me about a good deal on a time share. so me and my wife took a trip to check it out. it was a good deal, but it was in Aspen, and that is too close to where our son lived, and he passed away years ago, and the wife doesn't want to go back to Colorado. While we were there the same man came up to us with another good deal for a expedition on Mt. Makalu. The man said the trip was only going to cost about tree fiddy. it was about that time I realized the man was standing about 20 ft tall, and was no man at all, it was that damned loch ness monster again!

Looked to have the 4 cylinder spec seats, so maybe a 5.0 conversion. The same theft ring was probably also responsible for the Monte Carlo SS, as they were both stripped and dumped the same way.
Haha man, what a memory trip. back in the day we use to street race out there on the roads in between the cane fields where you're at in the vid. This was wayyyyy back in the day. There's a lot of cars in those canals. One night these dudes in some civic were talking up a big game. Running an absurd shot of nitrous. When they hit the spray from a roll they would roast the tires. We were all waiting for it to blow up. They wanted to run everyone. Somehow they didn't blow up the engine, and once the bottle ran out they rolled the car right into the canal off of a crusty bridge that spanned the canal towards a pump house. No guard rail. Most of those bridges are sketchy. We were all just standing there with our jaws to the floor. They were picked up by another civic, and left. We later found out they stole the car they were beating on all night. If you graph that entire canal you'll see some creepy stuff. There also use to be a Harley Davidson Road King in the canal just south of the STA's. I heard they finally took it out, although I haven't fished it in a few years.
Yeah, was once young a dumb. Got myself in a lot of sketchy situations. Now I'm not quite as young, and not quite as dumb. Or at least as much as I give myself credit...
Plot twist Hector is going to be running 3 Honda Civics with spoon engines. And on top of that, he just went into Harry's, and he ordered 3 T66 turbos, with NOS. And a Motec exhaust
I gave a thumbs up to your comment only because I think It was the wrong title too but it kinda was a crime that these vehicles was just dumped into the water so it's how you look at it but it was a somewhat interesting video but when he thanked everyone but the sheriffs office I though that was rude
Videos old but have a theory. Maybe someone dumped those there to make some nice structure so he can cast off that bridge. Maybe it's a big fisherman. All the parts removed because he was trying not to pollute the water but just make a habitat which is used everywhere. Maybe scratch the VIN numbers because he didn't want to get in trouble for illegally dumping. Just a thought who knows,
That’s not uncommon - probably wasn’t stolen. It was someone who probably reported it stolen for the insurance money AND they sold the parts. People also do it if they know the vehicles going to be repossessed. YES the person isn’t s Boy Scout that did it but it’s considered a common blue-collar crime I know they are possibly being sarcastic saying that it’s Mexican drug cartel but I think that the fact thru keep saying drugs it says a lot on how they really feel. At the end they mention the insurance factor after the police but u heard him say more about this being “drug” related more
Scott you should get in touch with adventures with purpose ! That is there specialty finding cars with sonar underwater . How many cars are in that canal ? Looks like a lot

chance huiet...and for illegally polluting the waterway, an entire day of emergency response dive teams, a $1000/hr wrecker, and the loss of street police presence, while attending this shindig!!
Once they run the truck's vin and start looking at his finances, etc, and then talk to the owner about this. It's a good chance he might slip up and say something incriminating or fess up.
If I'm not mistaken, this is Twentymile Bend, Florida. I used to work for a railroad out that way and as a result, I'd drive across that green bridge every single day. I was on call though, so I'd drive to work at weird times. Its crazy what you'd see down a road in the middle of no where at 2am.
Yeah, but technically speaking it is a crime scene. A crime was committed by dumping the cars there, and there are probably other crimes attached to the cars themselves, such as insurance fraud or the cars being stolen.
Wow 5.0 mustang and a fast back window monte carlo...I could use that back window those are impossible to find and I know a buddy who would like that waletail off that stang

We got the truck out
And brought to our farm.
The insurance company was great declared the truck totalled, I had paid cash they cut me a check that included the tow (500$) but I took a 1,500 loss on the tomato's.
When we got the truck to the Farm we put a new battery in and the fords 300 6 cranked right up
Those were one of the greatest Amercan engines built.
@@badcarbon7624 I'm glad that you made it out, but Maybe you're brother in law was having a few beers on the way home, and got a little tipsy. But what a way to go, really weird that the police never noticed anything.
Water creeps me out because of the fact that it hides so much horror and human suffering. It messes with my head to think about. I have a PADI license and all, but that nagging "I wonder what's down there." thought is always in my head whenever I see a large body of water.
@@gjsilvano :
I'm sure he had more then a few beers and that it contributed to the accident.
Mate, that's crazy
Oh my, that's so sad. That poor lady.
This isn't even tip of the iceberg of what's sitting at the bottom of lakes, rivers, and ponds,,everywhere
Guns,human bones,and murder weapons,you name it
Allot of which is settled so deep under mud that nobody will ever find any of it
Pretty creepy to think about next time you go swimming at your favorite spot,.
Why dont the people salvage the body panels since on the truck, the doors looked they would have been in perfect condition before they dumped it
Wasnt this in the news?
"Don't touch those, you'll be prime suspect!" 😂😂😂
Well done guys! And hey keep your eyes peeled, they solved a 25 yo homicide case in Kansas City about 10 years ago because of a good citizen like yourself. Closing that case finally allowed the parents to know what they always thought had happened to their baby daughter was true. They were able to bring their child (16) home, and lay her to rest, and to grieve her loss. Because the lake she was in is a deep spring fed, with very cold water lake, her body was intact after all these years, and so was the evidence that convicted her murderer. Justice! All of this because of a good man like you. 💋💞

Would your cousins grandpa not be your grandpa?
Kid from my hometown went off the road and into a pond and drowned. Thing is - The pond is about as small as it could possibly be and still be considered a pond. About 8 ft. deep though. It's probably 30 ft. in circumference. The people that dug it probably didnt even think of someone driving into it.
Matt Hillman that’s crazy
Laura Walker If it’s my cousins grandpa how would he be my grandpa?
Laura Walker Lol. No....not if it’s his cousins grandpa on the OTHER side of the family. Right? Get it? 🤦🏻♀️😂
LOL LOL

A more plausible explanation might be gator watch for the divers in the water?
he said most of the cops had their weapons out. watching peoples backs. divers in the water with snakes and gators, how clueless are you?
Maybe they were worried about Zombies trapped in the car?

now a few years ago, I was fishing the Blue River, in Kansas when I ran into a man who told me about a good deal on a time share. so me and my wife took a trip to check it out. it was a good deal, but it was in Aspen, and that is too close to where our son lived, and he passed away years ago, and the wife doesn't want to go back to Colorado. While we were there the same man came up to us with another good deal for a expedition on Mt. Makalu. The man said the trip was only going to cost about tree fiddy. it was about that time I realized the man was standing about 20 ft tall, and was no man at all, it was that damned loch ness monster again!

FloBass that’s crazy man
Yeah, was once young a dumb. Got myself in a lot of sketchy situations. Now I'm not quite as young, and not quite as dumb. Or at least as much as I give myself credit...

Intresting day. Beats fishing. I was waiting for that puny bridge to collapse thats a heavy rig!
Fishing is still better.
Me too.. Lol
@Mike Forti speaking from experience
Had the thieves been professionals, the bridge would have collapsed. Twice.
That bridge looks unstable. They could have got crushed
Just a thought who knows,
Using the waterway as a dumping ground for their illegal activity. Someone needs to hide a camera and catch them.
That's what I was thinking too.
You call, cops there before u get off the water. I call, we’ll send someone right out. 45 business days later the peace officer might show up.
That’s not uncommon - probably wasn’t stolen. It was someone who probably reported it stolen for the insurance money AND they sold the parts. People also do it if they know the vehicles going to be repossessed. YES the person isn’t s Boy Scout that did it but it’s considered a common blue-collar crime
I know they are possibly being sarcastic saying that it’s Mexican drug cartel but I think that the fact thru keep saying drugs it says a lot on how they really feel. At the end they mention the insurance factor after the police but u heard him say more about this being “drug” related more
