    That collision at 2 minutes is insane. 4 boats trying to squeeze through the same location at the same time. What a bunch of knuckleheads. Hope buddy was ok that got the rig on his chest. That forklift fail was probably the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. The guy swimming after the boat was pretty epic also. The funny part about the last clip is how easy it is to back up a trailer.

    • @mikejones8866
      @mikejones8866 2 года назад +21

      To be fair, in the last clip, backing a single axle trailer can be tricky. They want to wander all over the place.
      My favorite was at 8:40 "It's time to abdicate the area" ????
      Abdicate: verb - fail to fulfill or undertake (a responsibility or duty).

    • @yuribezmenov7838

      @@mikejones8866 Abdicate means to renounce a position or title, or to give up something and leave at will. You were foolish and lazily took the first definition from the first search result, one which doesn't even accurately portray the meaning of the word when provided without any context.
      Synonyms of abdicate: relinquish, give up, forgo, resign, waive, abandon,etc.
      Example: We should not simply abdicate from those areas where traditionally we have had a lead.

    • @spagettie1589

    I'm going to share the secret of backing up a trailer with all of you: push the *bottom* of the steering wheel the direction you want the trailer to go. Combine that skill with two rules of thumb and you're good to go: 1) Always anticipate where you want to go; turning the trailer takes time, and 2) take your time; no shame in pulling forward just a few feet to straighten out a mistake.

    • @sweeptheleg.
      @sweeptheleg. 3 года назад +2

      Most folks aren't competent in the art of opposite steering. To initiate a turn with your trailer, you turn your steering in the opposite direction. If you're correcting a trailer that's drifting off to the side you turn the wheel WITH the trailer. For example if you're backing down the ramp and your trailer starts drifting off to the right, you turn your wheel to the right until it straightens out. The key is to catch the drift in time or you're gonna jack knife the trailer and end up like the guy in the video chasing your oversteer all the way across the ramp. That guy should have pulled forward, straightened the trailer out and tried again SLOWLY. I know it sounds easy on paper but it gets easier with PRACTICE! (that's the key) it's another skill you need to learn as a boat owner.
