“Can I take this helmet off?”
You may want to keep it on, those cops are pissed
Right. I really could not criticize the Officers for their language and lack of care for his personal stuff.
You win for funniest comment!! I laughed way too long at that!
Lmfao!!!! 😂🤣😂🤣!!! That was funny as shit!!! Good one!! 🤣
Yeah they instantly started hitting him
Yea. It's obvious that first officer violently abuses his power.
Because we've already seen it.
I was peacefully pulled over on my Honda Sabre 1100 by the Ark. S.P. in the 1980s near West Memphis. When the officer walked up with an empty holster I said "Where's you gun". He slapped his hip and said "damn, I left it at the jail!" He smoked his tires on a U-turn...and I got out of a speeding ticket.
Ohhhhh man😂😂😂😂. That's freakin awesome!!!
I stopped to answer nature's call a couple of weeks ago. Only restroom available was a bank. I remembered after about 5 minutes having left my standard carry weapon on a shelf... yeah I went back pretty quick too!! (I found it)
🤣🤦🏼♀👍
beauty! lol!
Lucky you met Barney.
Oh goodness, that poor officer. Glad he didn't need his gun to protect himself. But I have to admit, that was funny.
Never try this in a state where they are still enforcing laws like it's 1960 😂
everyone drove drunk in 1960
I had a friend who had one of those superbikes. He said there's no way a cop could catch him on that bike. He's dead now.
🤣🤣🤣
Well they didnt catch Him did they.
Good
Like a guy who ran from us many years ago hitting 100 MPH on a city street but was not aware of the approaching blind curve ahead. He hit a telephone pole at an estimated 90 MPH by the traffic guys doing the report. CPR at the scene was useless. He was just a bag of jello at that point.
Sorry you lost a friend, but...
"I've never been stopped by the police" or "I've never stopped for the police"?
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I said the same thing
The kid had a clean record so all this was for traffic violations.
Adrenaline junky cops, so pumped up to speed down the road putting everyone's life in danger for "speedy bike"
They obviously had the plate # and could've been waiting for him to return at his residence.
Pathetic, dangerous and unnecessary.
@@wknight5595 theres no plate on the bike. this wasnt just for "traffic violations" hes committing multiple felonies... you are so out of touch
And that's why they are pushing to ban bike's in my city.
He means he has never been caught by the police.
First thing I thought of.
Turned out, 12 points on his record according to the police report. :)
Yes, definitely.
I suspect he's going to remember that first time.
Yeah,no. He is going to be sitting for a few days in jail before the police let him have anything but time to ponder his future.
There is always some asshole with a trailer in the left lane.
In their mind “But I’m doin the speed limit in mah truck”
There is always some asshole speeding in the left lane thinking we need to get out of his way. Not gunna happen.
@@qpwodkgh2010 Typical for someone who doesn’t know how to drive.
@@qpwodkgh2010 what are you, a pace car? Get off your high horse, no one gives a shit
Yep, using cruise control to “pass”. It’s funny those truck guys like to drive slow when they’re in front of you, but ride your bumper when behind you. I guess it’s how they make America great again 🤷🏼♂️ 😂
I used to know someone in Denver who has (had?) a similar attitude as a motorcyclist. He got caught while doing over 150 on the highway, yet he didn't learn from it. Some time later he tweeted himself going around 100 on city streets. And yet he has the gall to say police are out to get motorcyclists. If you don't do the crime, cops will leave you alone just fine, you know?
As far as I know, he may still be alive; he just decided he didn't want to be my friend back in 2015, and I moved out of Colorado years after. But if he were to be 6 feet under at some point because of being stupid, it would not surprise me.
My dad used to always say: "You might outrun the cruiser, but you'll never outrun the radio"
Or a helicopter
Yeah. But there's a bunch of videos of cars n bikes doing just that. There's a white hell cat video he outrun the helicopter which was a news copter helping the cops n it was low on fuel. A freaking fantastic video.
I was at a car show and the cops had a plane and police charger there . We were just looking at them and the cop asked if I thought I could outrun him, I looked at my wife and looked back at the cop and said, "Yep but I can't outrun that radio, so I don't drive like that". The cop asked what I drive, and I said a f150 with a little done. He looked at me and asked again, and you think it will outrun that and pointed to his car. I said yep but not the radio. He got pissed and walked away. There is a time and place to run that fast and it isn't the highway full of innocent people.
My uncle had a buddy that was going so fast by the time the cops radio it he was past the next cop 5 miles down
Got caught at a store later in the day they let him go with a warning
Well, as a 20 year vet retired officer, I would have called off this pursuit. WAY TOO much traffic and chance for an innocent citizen to die or get severely injured. Also, another problem is that one trooper that allowed his anger and aggression to get the better of him and his self-control when dealing with the suspect. It's really difficult to terminate a chase of a bad guy, but sometimes it's the best call!
Right. But this is in Arkansas. They dont care, as you see.
Well said sir. Let common sense prevail 👍
Wow a cop with brains and a respect for human life .
You sir are a credit to your uniform, your profession and most importantly to yourself and your family ❤
I could see that. When your adrenaline is pumping its very difficult to control your aggression and could easily turn into an abuse of force especially once the suspect starts complying.
Not to mention that the crimes committed were by the cops not the dumbass on the bike
From personal experience many years ago I found out the hard way police don't like having to chase you down. I never did it again. They didn't handle me with kid gloves. 😂

I give you guys down south credit for keeping your highway shoulders clean and clear.
Try driving on the shoulder at 140mph in Pennsylvania and you're gonna hit a whole tire or full car bumper within the first 100 yards.
shoulders in the midwest are clear, shoulders in the south are filled with carcasses of burned down cars.
I had the exact same thought. Here in Washington/oregon. Homeless camps, trash, and crash debris EVERYWHERE
In New Jersey he's going to hit somebody passing on the shoulder!
I noticed the same deal on the Interstate between Georgia and Alabama two weeks ago. Semi/big rig tires, bumpers, exhaust systems, whole/dismantled vehicles/etc...
It's a damn shame because it looks like they pour an awful lot of money into maintaining the trees and grass in that area.
They weren’t on the shoulder going 140. The narrator just happened to state that was the top speed of the chase while the video showed him on the shoulder. He was probably doing around 70
the biker was crazy.. but the cop car pulling across the motorway was quite simply reckless
Not for nothing in most countries it is not regarded as sensible or safe for police to chase people like this… especially when it’s simply speeding like this one, with CCTV they can just turn up to the motor cyclists address in a few days and charge them then.
Judging from the time it takes him to overtake vehicles on the highway it sure doesn’t appear that he is going anywhere near 142mph. Doesn’t add up.
There were times it was fast, but several of those speed callouts made me think they were giving it in KPH
It's amazing the cop drove so far in the emergency lane without hitting any debris. Here in Atlanta, he'd have 4 flats in about a minute.
Squad 1 passed a lot of debris on the inside shoulder. He even hit a folding roadside sign assembly at 1:31, there were numerous hunks of tire, and two traffic cones at 6:15. Good reason to have a full-width bull-bar on the cars...
Kid coulda shrugged his backpack off and popped his helmet strap when he was up... but nope. Too stupid.

@@Cwg. He didnt have plates because the bike was brand new. The cops were wrong when they said they chased him before
@@endurofan9854 I think the cops should choose the lesser of 2 evils if that makes sense. If he was a violent criminal then they should absolutely chase him.. When will he stop? When he gets home of coarse. Hehe
I love the way those cops politely ask him to be quiet.
Just remember boys and girls the longer the chase the more pissed off the cops will be when they catch you.
Cops have a job. They have no reason, and it is not in their job description to get angry at people. They catch them, hand the info to the crown or pros attorney, and the courts decide the penalty. It is part of a system. Cops have no right to dish out penalties of any sort, whether they are angry or not. It shouldn't make a difference. If it does, then that person should not be a cop.
LOL! Aint THAT the truth!!
And if you have the misfortune of getting one who's generally just a dck of a person, and or having a bad day... Man.. It's ALL BAD.
And what? What are you trying to say about our police?
Is that supposed to be a good thing?
"If you make the cops come and get you, you can bet they are bringing an ass whipping with them" - Chris Rock
As a motorcyclist with almost 20 years of riding experience, if you run from police and you run from them on a highway, you got 90 seconds to take an off exit before you have no escape option. Only 2 things will happen after those 90 seconds, you either get caught and go to jail because you run out of gas or you wreck and go to jail or unalive yourself due to that wreck.
90 seconds. Got it. Thanks!
Yep. If you must evade, the drill is turn turn turn turn HIDE! Running decreases your odds and improves theirs.
Exactly!
if there wouldn't be another police car on that exit, that guy had a good chance to escape like he did last time. His chances were 50/50
Yup. That’s pretty accurate. Usually you can get through traffic like that and gap the cop car enough that he can’t see you when you exit. But that cop was rolling. The kid needed to go a lot faster and split lanes. If you’re not running 160+, those cruisers will stick with you on the highway.
Take an exit and get to a curvy back road, and make a lot of turns… then park it somewhere and hide til it cools down. I’ve had to wait in the woods for hours and hours several times.
"Run from me again, MFer" GOLDEN.
When will these idiots learn that you can't outrun a radio?
Yeah they need the radio to say " we lost him sir"
When he asked the officer to turn off the ignition on the bike my thought was . . . " Don't worry about it kid, you are never going to see that bike again."
Crusher food.
That's BS. It's his property. He has proof of sale and proof of ownership. He may never be allowed to legally ride it again, but it is his property. The cops have no right to steal it, or destroy it like they did with the helmet. That was purely malicious. He was cooperating at that point. Either we hold cops to a high standard of behavior in all cases or don't be surprised when they abuse their authority on us. Cops have enormous powers granted them in public trust by the state. That has to come with enormous responsibility and accountability.

Reminds me of my misspent years back in the early 70's. Maryland cops loved to pick on motorcycles because they knew we were invariably in violation of some damn thing or another. We loved the two strokers back then, first the Kawasaki triples and then Yamaha RZs in the 80s. They were screaming fast bikes out of a stoplight but you wouldn't want to take those suspensions much more than 100 mph that's for sure! My lifetime ride now is my 95 BMW R1100 GS, it's a nimble and solid beast but at 70 I doubt that I could pick it up if I dropped it.
I would say he learned a lesson the hard way, but I don't think there's any room for learning. He's not a teenager; he's old enough to know better and go down for it too.

I retired from L.E. way back in 2008 & even then smart Agencies had VERY strict rules on high speed vehicle pursuits... especially motorcycles.
They realized that every second of every pursuit puts lives in danger & that the need to apprehend the violator MUST outweigh the risks to the innocent members of the public, the Officers involved, & the violator.
A 140+mph pursuit over a minor traffic violation is INSANE... especially when it's a motorcycle.
Unless the guy is a professional stunt driver the odds of them crashing & dying are close to 100% & it's simply not worth it over a traffic violation.
I'm also retired LE and I think you're wrong. The clown on the motorcycle is threatening the public with a deadly weapon and needs to be stopped. Don't be a pussy...just be good at your job and nail him! Obviously, you have insecurities about your skills.
As a retired commercial driver I don't think that officer understands how dangerous it is to just stop highway traffic like that. Nothing puckers your ass in a 40 Ton truck going 70mph than suddenly seeing traffic stopped with no warning right around the bend. Pileups happen that way.
Agreed, this whole chase was really poor judgement.
@@gravdigr27 exactly...& even in the adrenaline rush of a pursuit there is NO way I'd freaking pull out of the median and try & block assorted vehicles traveling at highway speed like that 🤯🤯
Not only does it look suicidal, but as you observe, it's incredibly dangerous to the public.
That adrenaline rush is precisely why modern Agencies require that a Supervisor who is not involved authorize or terminate all vehicle pursuits....
Because the stresses involved absolutely require an objective decision of whether or not the need to apprehend the violator outweighs the risks to everyone involved.
My former Agency rethought their pursuit policies after an innocent bystander was killed. Good move on their part, but it was cold comfort to that poor guy's family. He died over a minor routine traffic violation that he wasn't even involved in.
My thought too. I can see 'chasing' him but pulling a U turn and stopping traffic can cause a multi car accident!!
So if I understand this correctly, you exceed the speed limit while driving on the shoulder, force other motorists of the road. Then you drive a police cruiser ACROSS an active highway. In heavy traffic, as one of the officers pointed out. So you can stop someone on a bike because they were lane splitting, which is safe enough to be legal in some states, and exceeding the speed limit...
You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before we ask you any questions. You have the right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for you before any questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer questions now without a lawyer present, you have the right to stop answering at any time.
If combined, that's roughly 6 years in jail + $13,000 fine + licence suspension + points + community service + vehicle impoundment.

Going to work a few months back, sitting at a red light, I watched a truck fly through the intersection easily double the speed limit, followed by a dozen Emergency vehicles. At first, I thought it was an unmarked vehicle. Nope, some dumb a$$, apparently tried purchasing some personal female time online only to show up to federal agents running a sting operation. But you all got that "keep your lane" system. For good reasons, by the way. But it is an open invitation to lane splitting at crazy speeds. For a biker lane splitting is quite safe in the States. In Europe however, it does kill you within two days. In Europe you NEVER play the interstate like a checkers board. You ride the fast lanes. The left ones. What else? @@gardnerberry113 oh and to address one of your earlier points, the best way to get people to cooperate and pull over more often is to not abuse, arrest and kill people out on the streets for no reason other than "oh i thought he was the bad guy" or "oh im really scared he might've had a weapon" Not to mention how many cops become cops BECAUSE they want to be in the position to have power over other people, but that's an entirely different conversation.
EDIT: The point here is that people run from cops because they dont want their head slammed into the concrete, and because of this nations use of fear mongering, which they think teaches people to behave, but really only teaches people to hide.
If you have a problem., if no-one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire this guy to do A-Team voice overs.
As a police officer for 44 years, and an EVOC instructor, as much as I would hant hated doing this, I would have terminated the pursuit.
Thank you, the added risk to everyone, the cops, and the rider, just didn't seem worth it.
Same here. As the shift sergeant, I called off any number of pursuits. My guys would sometimes get pissed off but its better than risking lives over traffic only violations, bad press, and years of litigation and maybe even termination.

well.. now he has a record.. and if he is in a motorcycle collision in the future and tries to faine innocense.. and sue the driver he collides with, presuming he could ever even get liability insurance himself.. now with that record. He will have to come up with money to cover the damages and injuries to the people and their property that he caused damage to. @@elvisjerrylee Well I guess you're in danger if you are out for a walk on the expressway.
The amount of cars completely oblivious to lights and sirens behind them is horrifying to watch.
In their defense, traveling at those speeds, you wouldn't hear the sirens for very long before they are passing you. Maybe if they have that "rumbler" thing added to the sirens, but it is surprising how quiet most sirens are at a distance. And vehicles these days do such a good job with noise canceling or shielding that it makes it really tough to hear a siren until it is right behind you. Just recently I had a EMS suv behind me but I had no clue because I was jamming out to some good tune and couldn't hear the siren, it was the constant bursts of white in the flash pattern of his lightbar that finally caught my eye.

Years ago a gang of 30 something were out on Sunday drive west bound on 1-10 in Baldwin County Alabama driving crazy and refused to stop. As they approached the bay way (8mle bridge with one exit) the officers 👮 radioed ahead and back up units blocked off the bridge and trapped them because they had no way or where to go. My buddy got stopped after a chase on his bike. The State Police blocked the toll booth totally multiple cars. My buddy put his hands in the air and the officer football tackled him off the bike. Not passing in the passing lane has been illegal here, they don't enforce it much though. It's usually an entitled person, a person browsing or texting (safest lane to drive slow in and text) or an old person who doesn't give a crap about anyone else, for that matter, the other offenders don't give a crap either. @@johnnyvt9 is it also the choice of the emts and fire service to have to scrape you off the road when you fly through the windshield?
I can't believe the cop drove straight across the freeway and stopped the traffic, the potential for a huge rear end pile up was massive.
No massive pile up when in this case the cop cars were gradually prepping the traffics to slow ways down so the drivers all became very aware of the situation and can making all the safe stops.

Yeah, theres also a POTENTIAL for a figure from outer-space to come to Earth and be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound, but i dont see it happening any time soon....
@@cockyhemi-123hardly. The cop spent 90% of the pursuit in the emergency lane, where no cars were. With lights you can see a mile away. The bike did the most dangerous thing you can do on the road, other than the speed, which is passing on the right and lane splitting. Your tendency is to pull to the right when scared or confused, and that bike didn’t hat to about 500-600 cars. A car cannot see the bike at the speed it was traveling, until it’s too late. Now in the end, the biker would have died more easily than the car rider, which is fine, it’s an accepted risk the biker took so it’s all part of the game, but I’ve seen an accident where a bike did kill a driver, when his body ejected through the side window. The helmet kicked the car driver. I’ve run twice in my life in a car, long ago, and I’m 1-1 as far as escaping. But I never did anything that endangered others, never on a road this busy. I don’t play Russian roulette with other lives, only my own, you have to accept dying as part of the game, which is why no sympathy if I died, or when others do. 🤷🏼

I’m surprised how many people are not moving out of the cops way. I guess he’s coming on too fast for most people to react.
Also when they finally do notice the police car the first thing they do is hit the brakes
2 factors:
1. Noise insulation on new cars is pretty good these days. I've noticed in my car that I don't hear sirens until they are very close.
2. In heavy traffic you can't just barge into the next lane. It takes a few seconds from noticing the emergency vehicle to assess the safety of making a lane change. And then it may actually not be safe to immediately change, because there are other vehicles there.
You cannot hear a siren unless it is either beside you or directly behind you. The cops were overtaking the normal traffic at 88 feet per second. It requires unusual vigilance looking in your rearview mirror to notice someone coming from behind.
My car is 2011 and if I have the windows up radio on low I can't hear a siren unless they are right next to me.
I normally drive with at least one window open about ¼ to ½ inch so I can hear outside.
