Explaining to folks here why a young dude only got 2 years of probation is probably gonna be a futile exercise, but let me try anyway. Supreme Court says you are allowed to do a "pat-down" if you have reasonable articulable suspicion that an individual may be concealing a firearm or other deadly weapon. However, the officer conducted an inappropriate "search" by entering the homie's pockets... absent a pat-down... this is a violation of the individual's 4th amendment rights. I know this is alot for some of you to take in, but my point is... that is why you see so many of these cases plead out to "next-to-nothing" petty sentences.
@@steveturner2763 Not quite, his consent is for a patdown. Not a search. Under the 4th Amendment, law enforcement MUST do a patdown prior to any "search" inside of a pocket.
@@laurelschiller8753 So you misunderstand how the law operates; he lifted his arms so that the officer could perform a patdown. The law does not allow you to search the pocket unless you have probable cause that something dangerous is inside the individual's pocket. Ehh occasionally it has been by someone who knows their really well, usually to the extent of quoting legal codes and relevant case law. And almost always before a detainment and before arrest. Like if they are harassing someone for doing something perfectly legal then you could probably avoid getting taken in if they are a reasonable but uneducated cop and you very very specifically quote the section that states it's perfectly legal. But you could also just let them arrest you then fight it in court hope that works and then hope you can get restitution greater than the cost of fighting it in court (more viable if you yourself are a lawyer) and that it doesn't mess up your record too much having an arrest for a crime you are later exonerated for.

"Pull my pants up".
The weak boy tells the cops......."I make more money than you in a day".
I haven't heard that saying. I was raised with, "the empty can rattles the most", meaning the stupidest person is the loudest. Like really. Get an empty metal can and put a single nail in it. Shake it real good. Pretty loud, isn't it? Put a whole bunch of nails in the same can. Like, try to fill it. Shake it. Barely heard anything, didn't ya?
Yahh he gunna be in prison shortly 😊
“I retain”
LMFAO!!
😂😂😂
These officers were cool from the start, but he’s a professional victim and escalated this situation.
Most days it seems as though they're ALL professional victims.
Poor George Floyd 🤣🤣...I've seen hundreds of stupid videos where they can't breath supposedly and calls the patron Saint Floyd to save them.
Homeboy patted that pocket before the officer checked it. He knew he was in trouble.
I’ve NEVER gotten in my vehicle in 48 years without my D.L.
It’s amazing how no one carries an ID.
Lazy, irresponsible, just plain stupid-I see all the time….people these days don’t believe in accountability!!
I forgot mine a couple of times because it was in a different shirt/coat pocket. However, I also have my license number memorized(from college in the 80s). I still got a ticket once, but it was a warning. Haven't forgotten it since.
Digital world. I drive without my wallet 99% of the time. I have been pulled over and not had my wallet. I give officer my name and they have a pic of me on their pc and officer warns if you give a fake name that it will result in a charge. Some jurisdictions will have you submit your DL online or take it up to the courthouse. Insurance is on my phone and in my car.
It’s easy to forget your license when you don’t have one
There have been a couple of times when I realized that I had left my wallet either at home or in my work truck. In each case I immediately turned around and went back to retrieve it.
