I got to talk with Freddie during BP before a game in Boston - lifelong Braves fan. They say don't meet your heroes because they will disappoint you, but I say that's only if you pick the wrong heroes. He is exactly who you see - caring, kind, considerate, genuine. He adhered to the rules MLB put out for Covid (couldn't sign my sign) but talked and took a photo with the fans. He is an awesome guy, and I was sad to see him go, but I love to see him glow. I wish him nothing but the best, and he deserves it.
Freddie Freeman is now, what Jeff Francoeur would've been if he'd been as talented as the Braves hoped he would be. Jeff stayed in the MLB despite having mediocre numbers . for 12 years because he was about the best team mate and friend you could have on a club roster. He was very well liked
Just a casual reminder. You too can be like Freddie. Be good to each other. Focus on family. Focus on being a force of good in your community. You can make a difference. Be like Freddie.
Lifelong Braves fan and avid Dodgers hater. Freddie joining the Dodgers made me root for them through the post season. So much love for him. He deserves all the flowers and then some
My sister was fully paralyzed from Guillain-Barré growing up. The learning to walk again takes so much out of you. Freddie has got one tough kid that’s for sure.
The one silver lining is paradoxically that it happened when he was so young. If he was older and more used to walking around normally, it probably would have had a much worse long-term impact.
As a Yankees fan, I was actually glad that the Dodgers won the series so that Freeman could win a much deserved MVP award. Couldn’t happen to a nicer and better player
Freddie Freeman's story is truly incredible facing so much tragedy yet staying so humble, kind, and resilient. From his devotion to family to his legendary moments on the field, he’s proof that greatness goes beyond stats. What a class act!
I'm a die-hard rugby fan from Australia and know very little about baseball, but I love to hear stories like this. My first time heading about Freddie and I wish for the best for him and his family. Hopefully I get to watch a Dodgers game in LA next season 🙏
You can follow other channels like iTalkstudios, Foolish Baseball or Secret Base (Ocasional Baseball Videos), I only follow baseball bc I have relatives in the US and went to a game in Japan (hence Lotte being my fav in Japan), but I love all of the videos. I kinda crave them :D
As a SoCal native and lifelong Dodger fan, I really love this dude. I feel bad for the fans in Atlanta. When Freddie hit that walkoff in game 1 there were as many Braves fans expressing how much they loved and missed him as Dodger fans expressing their love of Freeman giving us that moment. He’s now one of my favorite players
I legit teared up watching Freddie go and celebrate with his dad after that game 1 grand slam. It was an honor to see him play this post season after everything he’s been through ❤
Being a Yankees fan, that walk-off in game 1 broke my heart so much I sat on my floor in silence for 5 minutes. But at the same time I thought, if it was going to be anybody that did that I was glad it’s the guy that’s impossible to hate
Freddie you’re an inspiration to all of us. My mom passed in 1999 from a brain aneurysm and it was the worse day of my life. It sucks!! I lost my dad and younger sister in the next 5 years. God bless you and your family sir.
Try swapping shifts to work a 2nd and 3rd double shift so you can do the school run am and pm, regularly for about 2 years, not just the once with a first class commute. Hey, I'll give the guy his due but it's easier for him.
As a die hard dodger fan I was in tears reading the story, of all that he went through this year, that was published after the World Series win. Because Freddie is such a nice guy it isn’t mentioned enough how much grit he has when playing through injuries both physical and emotional.
I’ve been watching your channel for a couple years and I finally need to leave a comment. You are seriously good at this. Your content and the effort you put in are amazing. Never stop doing these
As a huge Braves fan, I’m sad Freddie left the Braves, but I’m really proud of him for overcoming all the challenges he went through outside of baseball. I couldn’t imagine going through what Freddie had to. This is one of the reasons why he is my favorite player in baseball. It’s his determination that makes him not just a great baseball player, but a great influence to teach people to never give up in life🙂
Freddie will forever be my favorite player on and off the field. Being a braves fan and growing up loving baseball he was my idol growing up. I’ll never forget sitting in my high school math class and getting the notification that we had traded for Olson, heart absolutely shattered. Definitely didn’t want to see the dodgers win the WS but nobody deserves another ring more than him.
The perfect teammate is this dude. carrying the team while playing through numerous ailments. It's vicious to steal second with a shattered ankle. Love him.
From the excellent Jeff Passan article mentioned in the video: "I actually told him to stop," Fred said. "I said, 'Freddie, this is not worth it. I know you love baseball. I love baseball. But it's not worth what you're going through.' And he looked at me like I was crazy, and he said, 'Dad, I'm never going to stop.'" Chills
Freddie my favorite active players, I absolute love what Freddie is and has become, this documentary was perfect. Freddie Freeman is the proof of the love of the game inside and out. The man is truly blessed
I saved my Dad's life too. I saw him passed out in the backyard with a surprise heart attack. God be thanked. Good for him, it makes me happy when good people get their glory.
I can tell you that from Day One as a Dodger, he was beloved by the fans. I was there when he did the press conference, everyone at Camelback Ranch were watching from a distance and chanting his name.
He dedicates everything and represents his family by honoring them anyway he can that’s pretty awesome. The fact he played for Canada for him mom is sweet.
love Freddie so much, always exciting anytime our kids are playing baseball and I see him at the fields, only thing he is better at than baseball is being a dad
9:22 Jason Heyward was a great rookie but 2nd to Buster Posey in the 2010 ROTY voting. The Giants also beat the Braves in 4 in the NLDS that year, thanks to Brooks Conrad
The way I cried watching this video I feel like I know Freddie and watched him grow in baseball. I feel proud of his accomplishments. We love Freddie Freeman
Freddie is the most wholesome athelete in sports. Not only a future hall of famer, but also such a great person and does anything he can to be around his kid. We need more people like him
I can't help... but feel touched by this story. My respect for Freddie Freeman. One of the best ball players and a great person. By the way, Freeman and Harper are like Barry Allen and Leonard Snart.
As a Braves Fan, Freddie is BELOVED by all of US and always will be! We hated to see him leave....but LOVE how he won another ring and what he was able accomplish.
The pressers back in ATL make me sob every time. Especially when they donated money to the foundation for Max's disease. I'm a Rockies fan but god I will ALWAYS love Freddie
Could not say anyone deserves it more than Freddie. I love how well he is doing and wish the absolute best for one of my favorite players ever. I just wish he was still playing for us man. ❤
Freeman going to the Dodgers was like Steve Nash going from the Mavericks to the Suns. They thought he was done, Nash showed them he still had a few more good seasons in him.
this story culminating in him almost single handedly destroying the yankees in the world series is the kinda arc that you would find unbelievable in a hollywood movie
Was truly an impressive playoff run from Freddie this year. I never knew all this backstory about him and his life growing up. I’m glad he isn’t a brave anymore makes it easier to root for him considering he’s a beast of a player.
Freddie's return after Max's ordeal when his walk up is just playing w/the ovation going from the fans and the camera shots of the Phillies guys tipping their caps just absolutely crushes me... what a moment
He was already the nicest guy in sports. He’s just a great dude. He will always be applauded in his first at bat in ATL. Then we boo him out of respect.
I’ve been a Freddie freeman fan since 2020 and I didn’t know about his families issues until about a few months ago but he truly inspired me, I watched his performances and see how he plays first and it helps me. Truly the most goated mlb player
I haven’t watched basketball ever in my life, but I absolutely love this channel. Super entertaining and interesting. Way more than actual baseball. Thanks

Crazy how a sport that doesn't exist can bring me to tears with a story like this
😂
Yeah he puts a lot of work to make these fake players I mean I even saw a billboard for a fake player named aaron
Welp thanks for my daily dose of ghey protein
Must be mind boggling to make up all those fake stats and assigning numbers to it. "I'll call this one WAR, and this one OPS" 😂

LA and ATL are Freeman Eskimo brothers.
