The Mets going on the warpath started with that Jorge Lopez glove toss after the Dodgers nuked them in late May. Turned out he was misquoted, but even perceiving that to be what he said about them pissed them off, and they channeled that into the game, and well.....they laid waste to the league. My guess is that the Braves ripping the division from them in 2022 sent them into some sort of morale fugue state, resulting in all of 2023, and the first two months of 2024. After the Dodgers series, it was like they had the weight lifted off of them. The final stretch of the Mets getting into the postseason was just as crazy. The Atlanta double-header, for one. Winning that game the way they did rattled the Braves so badly, that they never really put up much of a fight, and one could say that the Mets pretty much let them win, so the Braves, shaken and stirred, and with a postseason spot they really didn't earn (Mets winning both games would have eliminated the Braves), went to San Diego, where the Padres basically took out the trash the Mets sent them.
It was like a demon had been slain, the Mets biggest postseason gatekeeper FAILED to do the one thing they actually take pride in, and like any bully, they wilted once the bully victim gets back up and slugs them back. GLORIOUS.
24:00 I DIED BAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
Can we talk about how Mookie Betts is the greatest baseball name of all time?
No because it’s not even close to being a good baseball name
Mickey Mantle
Yes we can because his parents chose his destiny at birth by making his initials MLB
Mookey Mantle
Prolly cause Marcus Betts just sounds like a shitty online poker screen name.
Dude as a Cleveland fan I couldn't be more proud of my team losing 4-1 in the ALCS....insane....we battled every game and just fell short to a better team...Yankees have owned us ...great content bro🤙
Seeing how the Yankees budget is the same as 3 teams I expected the odds being in their favor. The amazing thing is that analysts didn't even have the tribe making it to the playoffs. So an impressive way to go out in the alcs
Calling it right now Mets are going to the World Series
I hope I want a subway series
Not that bold a take now that they’re in the NLCS 😂
According to the Brewers they will at least win the NLCS
It's all about the Mets baby gonna hit a home run love the mets
If this happens Middleton has to completely blow up the Phils' organization. 3 years in a row making the playoffs without a single WS trophy and the damn Mets squeak into the postseason by a SINGLE DAMN GAME and are on the cusp of a WS appearance.
Bros got that RuneScape text. Love it.
EAT EM UP TIGERS! (Thanks for sweeping Astros)
Finally, baseball taking itself so seriously matches the intensity of the playoffs. I love the trash talking, the games getting rowdy.
As a brewers fan that was at the winner take all game…the anger at Devin Williams is indescribable. Just ONE YEAR can we make it to the World Series.
no
Jazz Chisholm Jr. is not “a future superstar” lmfao he’s a current average daily player. What in his 6 season career makes you think he’s a superstar? His .250 career avg? His .115 postseason avg? 😂😂
Every time you post, it's a treat!
Whatever you say Bot!
I love that this video came before that insane Guardians Yankees game from last night. Gonna have to add four more homers in the seventh or later from that one freaking game. What a postseason for baseball.
3:35
Let the record show that Hoskins didn't say anything until he was in his dugout.
Ps. The Brewers only had a chance in the playoffs because he was benched for Jake Bauers 😂
5:02 the Runescape text never gets old lol
The Senga thumbnail is perfect.
Astros sold so hard…
As a phillies fan I was hoping you weren't gonna talk about them 😭
Wow this channel just keeps getting better I love the sound design your doing now 10/10
That hip thrust was the most sus thing ever
Dang wish baseball existed
I just love how that Phillies mom complains about the vulgarity of that Mets fan when she’s part of a fanbase in the city that hates Santa Claus
Respect for using the Hammy call. For Cleveland!
You just made me go through every single damn emotion I went through during this NLDS series between the Dodgers and Padres😅
24:07 😂😂😂 OMG
I just love the fact that MLB is Americas sport and yet the greatest player alive is a foreigner playing for the Dodgers. Peak comedy.
alright you've convinced me to watch this imaginary sport
15:19 I believed that bro was going to advertise rocks.
The yankees must be like the fictional team with the most lore since baseball doesn't exist
Thank you for doing these videos! I unfortunately don’t have much time to watch baseball, but I do love it. Thanks for catching me up on the postseason!
is nobody gonna talk about how he called 3 people the best closer in baseball (devin williams, josh hader, and emmanuel clase)
because they are all valid choices for that title
@@diggsfather i know it’s just funny
The writing this episode was on another level. Hands down the best baseball channel on YT
The Padres talked all that shit and still lost.
That was the doyers fans
The dodgers started it when they got pissed at machado when he threw the baseball
@@Surge-jd7yhActually Profar started it back at the start of the season when he got thrown at.
@@EvannA919 will smith called him irrelevant
@@Surge-jd7yh But the Dodgers won, and the Padres lost.
Statistics are not a measure of certainty, and this year damn near proved that they’re barely a measure of probability. It’s been a ride.
I instinctively don't trust anyone who isn't rooting for the Mets to beat the Dodgers
I haven't even watched a single baseball game nor held a bat or thrown a pitch in my life, but I love watching your videos, they are just so well narrated
God, I love the Mets. Has there ever been a more interesting franchise?
Baseball has everything. And your narrating and soundtrack is perfect.
Freak offs 0:01 😂
Juan Soto must got some of that Albert Haynesworth in him with that hustle 18:54
Idk about Japan but its about fucking impossible to watch mlb live in America anymore without 500 subscriptions to stupid shit so not suprising on the numbers
I believe every Dodger game is aired on the NHK, the official public network. They reckon 13m viewers for Dodgers-Padres Game 5 from TV viewership alone since streaming numbers aren't in, just bc of Darvish, Yamamoto, and Ohtani.
I don’t have time to watch all these games, but the recaps make me feel like I have been
