Yep. That was the trick to the slot machine. There is always 1 that wins more. Content found in most games that have gambling.
Recently did a "gambling run" of Fire Red where the only Pokemon I could use were my starter and the ones you can buy from the game corner. The meta from this run was a pain in the ass, because the jackpot is most guaranteed in the one to the left of the NPC that questions if some machines are more lucky than others
Even with the odds boost, you only net at most 299 coins. In retrospect, Leaf Green might have been easier because the total price amount is 14,470 coins. I believe at most you can start out with without paying is like 600 coins, so you need to hit a minimum of 50 jackpots to have enough free coins. The gambling run reinforced my hatred of gambling, especially since the later I got a prize Pokemon the worse it was in comparison to the team lol

They would if they could, but in order to do so, they would have to make the games rated T or something due to the game rating system. The reason why they aren't allowed to have game corners anymore is because people (non gamers) kept complaining that it "normalized gambling for children" or something along those lines.
I wish I had friends to play some minigames with. :(

I loved the slot machine as a kid when I played through FireRed. I was able to win enough coins to get the Porygon along with some other cool prizes.
Dodrio Berry Picking reminds me a lot of the Chansey Egg Emergency mini game in Pokemon Stadium 2

Firered and leafgreen was some of my favorite pokemon games. It has so many different things to do
My favourite (and the only that I played) Pokemon minigame is the Slot Machines one-
I remember I played it on Pkmn Pearl, If I don't mistake- I was really lucky, I can say-
6:54 PokeTips in bed: I did not do better, I just ended faster.
I never had a wireless adaptor for my GBA so I only ever got the to play the gambling minigame. Which was super easy, I always just clicked down 3 times and then spammed A to do as many spins as quickly and possible and I always made more than I put in. I don't think I've ever had to buy coins in any playthrough once I realised that you got free coins from talking to other people in there.
Back then there were mini games now we won’t even get a full game :(

man pokemon leaf green and fire red take me back. i remember when i trained my starter charmander into a lvl 100 charizard in viridian forest. it took time and beat the whole game just in 1 day after, with only charizard. i still have this same charizard till this day
I love the Original mario party like minigames on pokemon Stadium but nintendo never brought them back wich is really sad.

I'll never get over the fact that when we finally got a new set of Kanto remakes they were simplified 1:1 remakes for the GO crowd instead of expanded takes on FR/LG. I swear befor eit became clear wwhat sort of games they were gonna be I was rooting for the Sevii Islands to make it in.

My favorite was the Ruby/Sapphire roulette table. I remember the slot machines in Diamond/Pearl really well though, I spent a lot of time farming coins whenever that clefairy showed up and showed which slots to stop first.

I think can call and the Safari Zone a mini game because it's it's a not very easy catch the Pokemon there, and it's very interesting because you never know if you find a good Pokemon (Kangaskhan) or even a Shiny, I never forget then I find Shiny Nidorina and I heart go like ×10000 every time i throw a Safari Ball, after 5 Balls the 6o finally catch him and my heart calm down 😥

I forgot about the berry picker, because I never had enough friends into pokemon to get that going more than 2-3 times ever. Berry crush I remember, because I ground that good for tons of PP ups.
