I absolutely love wearing my 4711 Eau De Cologne. It’s soft and not too masculine, which matches my personality. It’s also a very classic scent and easily recognisable.
I'm really looking forward to this series. I'm usually very casual but I think good cologne is something that can be worn with any style and I'd love to learn more.
At that point the problem is some will deteriorate over time because you cannot wear them all at the same time, but hey it's good to be passionate about something
As long as the bottles are kept in a certain temperature range and away from sunlight they will stay good for a long, long time. I have bottles that are 14 years old that still wear exactly as they did when I bought them. It's the same as anything else, take care of your things and they will last.
Hello Master Raphael I'm quite a fan of DIY. If you could give a few hints as to how to homemake something thats probably best for your health, it'd be much appreciated. Regards, Jorge Nöel
I remember us discussing this and you didn't like the majority of fragrances out there because it had certain stabilizers. I enjoyed the video however.
Very interesting, thank you! These days with all these horrible deodorants, you notice when someone has picked the wrong one in combination with their natural body oder, what a stink!
Lol Raphael, never would have imagined you wearing V&R Spicebomb! :D As a huge fraghead, I always imagined you wearing something like Platinum Egoiste by Chanel, or Eau Sauvage by Dior, which I am wearing right now. Keep it up, Im so happy you are doing a fragrance minisearies! What would you recommend to a 21 yo law student who loves the style you are promoting?
i can name brands off course, but back then scents were way more complex, layered and more bold, wich fitted in the 80s for sure considering what went on...also the useof animal ingredients, mostly forbidden now. I have most of the classics from back then, from Estee Lauder, to Versace, YSL, Patou, and such, not so much niche, more designer.
Is it still unacceptable to wear colognes, EDT, EDP etc to a business meeting or job interview? If so which ones? Very posh channel but I like it haha...
Riz Kler Of course it is acceptable. It depends on the fragrance you apply though. Go for something like Prada L’homme or Armani Acqua di Gio for inoffensive, clean, soapy scents. Check out “Jeremy Fragrance”! Great channel for management of fragrances. Got some knowledge from him!
I had an interview the other day and I decided not to wear a cologne and I got the job! Then afterwards I whent shopping and I sprayed Tom Ford Black Orchid and the women loved it haha.. . Thanks again.
Riz Kler Yeah, depends on the guy as much as the girl/guy he’s trying to impress. I go for scents like Versace Eros, Spicebomb, A&F First Instinct etc., I can’t pull off the Black Orchid, Harley driving, leather jacket wearing vibe though.
The story you're telling about Co-log-ne is about the sacred secret. It's just one more anthropomorphisation of God...aka "miracle water" aka "the living water" (the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters) aka "the bread of life" (how else would she get a "bun in the ove-n") aka "the gold of the gods" aka "am-bro-sia" aka "milk & honey" (Cock-ney rhyming slang for "mon-ey" aka "money shot" aka XXX or in Latin 666 ore (gold) sex sex sex aka the "num-ber of man" aka the "con of man") aka "semen" (a homonym for "sea men" who serve the pub-lic in the nav-al ser-vices aka DNA aka the "word of God" (In the be-ginn-ing was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, the same was in the beginning with God, all things were made by Him and without Him was not anything made that was made).
Check out “Jeremy Fragrance”, he is a fragrance based channel and deals with what type of scent to use for business meetings, casual dinners, dates and for different seasons etc!
The Terrible Puddle Yeah, but honestly those are the only fragrances worth spending money on. Check out his cheap fragrances list for affordable stuff, being a student, I do it a lot!
The Terrible Puddle Hmm, I prefer keeping it varied though, I only re-buy a fragrance if it’s out of this world, it’s important to keep trying new stuff!
Its dum to folow these choices for a simpel reason The Skin. Wath i mean is like a finger print a mans skin is unique.. So to choose a fragancy first youv got to be sure that the clogne sence realy sticks to your skin, other wise it will last 2 houres no more. You can spend lets say sauvage by Dior around 200$, but youv got to know if its the right sent for your skin. So ask to a professinal advise about the right cologne for your skin, other wise you just burn 200$😎
no, you cant already smell bad and spray fragrances, it ruins the scent and makes you smell worse. You have to be clean before spraying fragrances or else they don't work as well. I don't know where you got this idea that only people who smell bad already use fragrances to cover up, maybe from middle school, but this isn't about axe deodorant.
Love the historical background behind these things
I absolutely love wearing my 4711 Eau De Cologne. It’s soft and not too masculine, which matches my personality. It’s also a very classic scent and easily recognisable.
Your voice is oddly relaxing and I really enjoy your videos!
Mesopotamian Arab here, your videos about style are unmatched. Keep it up

Can't wait for parts 2 and 3!
I have a bottle from the late 1800's , it still smells nice.a little mildew' but it smells great. Very warm and minty
Do you or anyone know where I can get / purchase sample/test perfumes for men even online?
Your personal opinion of the Tabac fragrance, please? Thank you, Tony
Your jacket seems oversized? The shoulder of the jacket extends beyond your (right) shoulder and the collar gaps.
Looking forward to your next parts on this topic. I’m one of those “fragheads” with a big collection of fragrances. 😀
how many do you have?
Gentleman's Gazette I’m embarrassed to say, but in excess of 100 bottles
At that point the problem is some will deteriorate over time because you cannot wear them all at the same time, but hey it's good to be passionate about something
I have a bottle of Polo that is at least 20 years old and still very much good. I am curious though what the rate of deterioration would be.
As long as the bottles are kept in a certain temperature range and away from sunlight they will stay good for a long, long time. I have bottles that are 14 years old that still wear exactly as they did when I bought them. It's the same as anything else, take care of your things and they will last.
Floris.........always a classic.......I wear it, and my dad wore it.
Are "Flavors" a term for essential oils?
My grandma used 4711, that's why its sorta considered ``oma Parfüm?? love your channel
I'm a Hermes d'orange verte man myself, but have some Prada Infusion d'homme and Grey Vetiver to mix it up.

Love your taste...
Excellent video. I didn't know the details of fragrances. Now I do.
Sven can you make a compilation of all your outfits and combinations
You have a nice voice, it just needs to be recorded louder in my opinion because at least in this video, it’s like you’re whispering ASMR.
Love the spice bomb, just picked up a bottle
Night vision parfum is nice. Its very high in oils.
You have a really good accent when you pronounce french word ! Do you speak french by any chance ?
Been a subscriber for a while -now your entering my domain - very interested - put you down as a Creed guy!

Where is your shirt from?
I remember us discussing this and you didn't like the majority of fragrances out there because it had certain stabilizers. I enjoyed the video however.
I love this!
Great video
When I read the email, my first thought was, you want to tell something about Cologne, my city of birth ;-) :-D
Does EDT mean toilet water?
A man's cologne should whisper, "I am here.", not shout, "Here I am!"...
Very interesting, thank you! These days with all these horrible deodorants, you notice when someone has picked the wrong one in combination with their natural body oder, what a stink!
You did the same thing on polo shirt video. 👍
WOW. never hear an englishman, how pronounce "Köln" right. love your vids
piet philipp He’s German, so you’ll need to keep looking.

Eau Sauvage is great, I find!

He is a pour monsieur type.
Haha, you can't hide your German roots when pronouncing "Mesopotamia"!
Enfleurage procedure uses animal fat as a stabilizer
70/80s scents are my fav.
can you be more specific?
i can name brands off course, but back then scents were way more complex, layered and more bold, wich fitted in the 80s for sure considering what went on...also the useof animal ingredients, mostly forbidden now. India. Perfume and perfumery also existed in Indus civilization (3300 BCE - 1300 BCE)
Where is your fellow countryman Jeremy Fragrance?
Ebne Sina. It means son of Sina. It's not pronounced as Eben

SuperAwesomeCaptain McFluffyPants thanks for the advice. Yes I've visited Jeremey Fragrance and I think I've decided on my formal spray.
I had an interview the other day and I decided not to wear a cologne and I got the job! Then afterwards I whent shopping and I sprayed Tom Ford Black Orchid and the women loved it haha.. . Thanks again.

One question. So perfume is for women only and cologne is for men?
Check out “Jeremy Fragrance”, he is a fragrance based channel and deals with what type of scent to use for business meetings, casual dinners, dates and for different seasons etc!
He is a fellow German and I have talked to him a few times
Gentleman's Gazette Oh you’re German? That’s pretty cool! Your English is spot on by the way!
The Terrible Puddle Yeah, but honestly those are the only fragrances worth spending money on. Check out his cheap fragrances list for affordable stuff, being a student, I do it a lot!

Jim Ferdinando Yeah, true. I mean, it’s not like they made a fragrance that costs a few hundred dollars for people who ‘don’t bathe’.
eau de cologne=water of cologneú
eau de toilette=toilet water
Turnbull & Asser Shirt
