However, now that we've finally begun to see more of what it's all about, the inclusion of new modes, characters, traditional controls. I've been playing Mario Kart with motion controls since Wii. I actually do equally as good with motion controls and sticks. I've played them both competitively online and with friends. I prefer playing with motion controls. If I decided to do tournaments I think I could do pretty decent regardless of control method but I would push to do it with motion controls to prove how capable it is.

Awesome vid. i will never be good at using motion controls but it makes the game feel so real. That's cool how you can use them when you're playing a game without motion controls. Orzly is such a good company for the switch.
Hey FILIP, I actually dig motion controls but I understand your point of view. Orzly putting two steering wheels in one pack is great because you do have two Joy-Cons so why not have an extra steering wheel. Having a race in the review showing the motion controls in action was a nice touch to showcase the accuracy of the controls. For only $12 I think this is a great deal. Great review and great new haircut by the way.
The steer wheel still seem a bit too small. It nice that they made the joycon bigger, but maybe just a little bit more. It is bigger then the Wii steering wheel?

Since I live in Canada, I recently went to a Nintendo Kiosk in the mall. They were Mario Kart 8 Deluxe stations for playing on the Switch, and I had a great time! Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is so much fun. They also gave me a MK8D drivers license with my picture and everything! (Also, great haircut!)

Hey Nikz! That sucks dude, but I actually had a similar issue just the other day. My battery went from like 50% to 5% in about 15 minutes. Then for whatever reason it had a really hard time charging back up. What fixed it for me was a hard restart. That's when you hold down the power button for about 30 seconds until the system has a brain fart and then boots back up :p If that doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue, in which case you'll probably have to send it in :( But also, how have you been charging it? That could be effecting it as well. As for the battery packs, I actually made a video on that last week ;) You should check it out! There are three really good options that you should be able to choose from :D Thanks again bro!

I think it's a lot better than the original, if only for the portability factor. But the battle mode is a huge plus too! The wheel is definitely not something you need to play the game, but it does make it feel like a different type of Mario Kart experience. I think it's really fun, but I'm much better with traditional controls :)

I was in the same boat too dude. I mean I knew I would definitely get it because it's such a big Switch game. But I've never been too big of a fan of the series. At least not like a lot of Nintendo fans can be. But the series has really come a long way. It's one of the funniest racing games I've played and the online is solid. I think you should get it dude, especially since there's a little bit of a dry spell between now and ARMS :) If you find yourself enjoying the game and playing it with other people, then you should totally go get the wheel too ;)

Well... I was lucky enough yo be able to play mario kart 8 deluxe on a friends Switch and to be honest.. I didn't like a lot the motion controls. But I think that having these weels on your hand and playing just.. gives you an awesome different experience. The mario kart on the Wii with one weel just worked really fine once I played it so I don' t think that the Switch is going to have any diference. I totaly agree with you, these weels worth it!!! 👌👌👈👈👍👍

I think the wheels that people are complaining about with the extra travel for L/R are the ones Nintendo advertises on their website. You should try a few different brands and then tell us which are the best in your opinion.

Hey Nikz! That sucks dude, but I actually had a similar issue just the other day. My battery went from like 50% to 5% in about 15 minutes. Then for whatever reason it had a really hard time charging back up. What fixed it for me was a hard restart. That's when you hold down the power button for about 30 seconds until the system has a brain fart and then boots back up :p If that doesn't work then it might be a hardware issue, in which case you'll probably have to send it in :( But also, how have you been charging it? That could be effecting it as well.
As for the battery packs, I actually made a video on that last week ;) You should check it out! There are three really good options that you should be able to choose from :D Thanks again bro!

Awesome! Is it better than the original one? And do you really need the wheel to play the game? Like, does it change the function of the joy con?
I think it's a lot better than the original, if only for the portability factor. But the battle mode is a huge plus too! The wheel is definitely not something you need to play the game, but it does make it feel like a different type of Mario Kart experience. I think it's really fun, but I'm much better with traditional controls :)

Hey Ben! Great question dude, I'm glad you asked because I've been meaning to reset the timer on the giveaway. There is no time limit on the giveaway, that's just the only way that Gleam would allow me to set it. I'll be giving away a Switch as soon as I hit 50K, whenever that happens :) We're growing faster and faster everyday, so I'm thinking that it shouldn't take too long! ;)

Hahah, thank you! I've never gotten Hawaiian before, but I'll take it! 😋 Even if you're not one for tilt controls, I still they make really great individual joy-con grips! They just feel much better to hold and play on in general, especially for longer play sessions 😉

Haha, dude yes! And it really sucks sometimes 😝 But I'm hoping to get a second camera really soon so I can do it all in one take and keep it as natural as possible. The shots where where I'm taking to the camera is where it's all happening for the first time. The first person shots are the second time around 😉

I'm still debating on wether or not to get Mario kart. I've never really been able to get into the game. Do you think it's worth getting? I think i would probably get the steering wheel if I do get it though. Great video 👍
I was in the same boat too dude. I mean I knew I would definitely get it because it's such a big Switch game. But I've never been too big of a fan of the series. At least not like a lot of Nintendo fans can be. But the series has really come a long way. It's one of the funniest racing games I've played and the online is solid. I think you should get it dude, especially since there's a little bit of a dry spell between now and ARMS :) If you find yourself enjoying the game and playing it with other people, then you should totally go get the wheel too ;)

Well... I was lucky enough yo be able to play mario kart 8 deluxe on a friends Switch and to be honest.. I didn't like a lot the motion controls. But I think that having these weels on your hand and playing just.. gives you an awesome different experience. The mario kart on the Wii with one weel just worked really fine once I played it so I don' t think that the Switch is going to have any diference. I totaly agree with you, these weels worth it!!! 👌👌👈👈👍👍

Tilt controls is the only way I've ever played MK
yeah as far as motion control for the wii version goes you werent good at mkwii unless you could manual drift with motion controls. otherwise git gud.
I think the wheels that people are complaining about with the extra travel for L/R are the ones Nintendo advertises on their website. You should try a few different brands and then tell us which are the best in your opinion.
EPS5000 i have the Nintendo wheels and the travel is fine, it might be a defect on a few who knows but mine are perfect.
I hear what you're saying :) But I definitely agree that a comparison video would be nice. I might do one of those soon if I see any more wheels that look like they're worth picking up. If you know any good ones, I'd be more than happy to add them to that video ;)
