Turns out, Sega Ages Virtua Racing allows you to change it's steering from Normal to Arcade in the options. Once you change that, steering feels just fine on these wheels! Shoutout to googleBot (robots these days, ehh?) for pointing that out!

I came here to say that (Virtua Racing having analog controls, no idea why it isn't the default control style). Looking forward to this wheel deluxe, I hope it can be plugged to other systems too. Is there a list of compatible consoles available? Comparisons with other wheels? Adapters it could be plugged to?
It is shady to not let people know if it would work well with wrc vrally 4 or grid autosport. Incomplete and useless review. Not going to drop 100 for use with one game. Show gameplay with more titles please!!!

Got the mini yesterday and wow was not expecting to work as well as it does for me it's perfect! Definitely recommend..
Was given this wheel for xmas, love it. Pairs really wheel the the Wheel Stand Pro. Games below that I own.
MK8 - works great do recommend changing to 180° steering, drifting is very rewarding after abit of practice.
Rush Rally 3 - Perfect for this wheel, have had no problems at all.
GRID - works great but adjusting the deadzone on the wheel and having all in game assists off helps for a more realistic experience. Still a small delay when turning.
Mantis Burn & Rock n Racing - had alot of fun playing these top down racers, recommend changing steering to 180° as most tracks are very tight.

Yeah, you can accelerate with the A/Y buttons on the steering wheel without needing to have the foot pedals attached!
Why didn't you try playing Authentic Racing Games with the Wheels like Grid Autosport and WRC 8?

I, unfortunately, don't have those games on hand, so I played what games I could with the wheels! I would have loved to play Grid though, I keep hearing amazing things!
Isnt it obvious you cant play Rocket league with a steering wheel? Why did they show that instead of Grid
If you were curious, other reviewers have tried other racing games, and it should work fine, give or take making some adjustments on the wheel to remap buttons/change sensitivity settings where necessary
This wheel also works on PC but does not have force feedback. It's pretty much the same wheel as the Driving Force Apex on PS4/PS3 and Driving Force Overdrive on Xbox One

I don't want to hate, but that's a bit strange imo.
There isn’t really ‘normal’ racing games on the Nintendo switch, and after all, it is a mariokart wheel.
This was a review of not just a “racing wheel” but rather just a basic accessory to go with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. He only did more Kart specific games because that’s what the wheel was made for, to simulate the sort of experience that you would see at an arcade or what not. I wouldn’t recommend buying this as a legit gaming wheel if you are looking for a quality one. Logitech makes some great beginner wheels that you can probably pick up for around $120.

That wheel should’ve been tested with other games, considering that this variant is identical to the ones that Hori has released on other platforms for their racing titles. The Mario Kart graphics and visuals on the wheel was simply to give it an “in” on the target platform.

Like mew and mewtwo and they ride their bubbles pink for mew, purple for mewtwo.
Have Ash on a motor bike with pikachu in the front basket.
When they get weapons like red shell. Pikachu does an attack instead.
Mayb mewtwo can ride the motor bike with mew in the basket lol.
Or have Ash. Misty. Jesse James etc. But when they go through the pick up a pokemon appears from ball into their front basket with an attack.
Speed boost the pokemon can jump behind and boost the bike with their powers.
That would breath new life into this ancient game.
Cool idea but that's probably a little too pokemon heavy for a game called Mario kart

A few weeks ago, after hearing about this wheel and pedals from a Mario Kart RUclipsr I'm subscribed to, I purchased one myself because besides Mario Kart, F-Zero is another Nintendo racing franchise that wheel would be absolutely perfect for. Fortunately since I have the Nintendo Switch Online N64 Expansion pack, I was able to play F-Zero X with this and I am soooo happy that I did. 😃😃😃

Do you have to turn on quick mode during every race? Do you do it before? Does it stay on forever once activated? Does the wheel let you know that you activated quick mode?

For better sensations, I suggest the dual vibration PXN V900 wheel instead. You will only have to make a little twist.
SETUP FOR ANALOG PEDALS ON NINTENDO SWITCH- You have to assign pedals to the left stick, here's the trick:
- Hold the wheel’s "PROG" button until the red light flashes quickly.
- Press the right pedal down and the red light will flash slower.
- Quickly press Up on the d-pad.
- Hold the wheel’s "PROG" button until the red light flashes quickly.
- Press the left pedal down and the red light will flash slower.
- Quickly press Down on the d-pad.
From there, racing games for Switch that allows you to assign gas and brake to an analog stick (through the options) like GRID: Autosport or WRC games will perfectly work. After that, you will just have to fine tune the parameters for the wheel's and pedals dead zone and sensitivity in the games settings. You also can set the wheel paddles for shifting gears.

i just bought this for me grandson. hes 3yo. anyhow. is there supposed to be "play" (looseness) from side to side and also from up and down on the actual wheel where it connects to the base (the kneck)? im not talking about rotation. im talking if you take one finger on your hand and you put it anywhere on the steering wheel and push on the edge of the wheel somewhere. move your fingers around on the wheel and push and pull etc... mine has play for sure!

I wouldn’t take something like a Mario Kart wheel that is specifically made for arcade style kart games (aka Mario Kart) because it’s just more of an accessory to that specific game. I do agree with you, this video could’ve included more detail, but I would assume that this isn’t the best wheel since it was only made for MKD
Pedals can be set up to be analog on Grid Autosport.
Grid has a specific wheel config now. Some say the steering is too sensitive on that mode but to me it felt fine. It’s a total game changer.

@@giornogiovanna6472 This was my problem with every video testing the thing. Everybody's testing it on Mario Kart, yet nobodies testing it on actual sim racers like GRiD Autosport!
I hope someone can help. The ZL and ZR buttons do the same as the pedals, how to assign different actions for those buttons? Such as, pedals for gas and break, but ZL for left turn light and ZR for right turn light. Someone help, please! I play ETS2 with it, and that's the only issue I have with it, everything else works great.

Has anyone tried this wheel with Chocobo GP? Also how does this wheel do as a PC controller? I've been looking for an all-purpose steering wheel I can use on the Switch and Steam for things like Truck Simulator.
It unfortunately doesn't work with Chocobo GP. I tested 26 racers on Switch, Chocobo GP was one of the 8 it didn't work with.
It works with 16 of the 17 games games I tested on PC, however, the one game it didn't work with was Bus Simulator so going by that I wouldn't expect it to work with Truck Simulator.

Do you know if the pedals act like analog triggers?
Yes, they have potentiometers in them. But the pedals feel like crap even compared to Microsoft Sidewinder pedals. I modded mine to accept Sidewinder pedals with a RJ9-RJ11 adapter and it is a lot better.
The ultimate test is with Garfield Kart Racers haha

They are. Unfortunately I don't own Grid and every game I tested it with on Switch didn't take advantage of the analog pedals. However, every game I tested on Switch did take advantage of the analog pedals, minus Trackmania.
Nice overall review but a good review would at least have a ballpark price. Yep, prices vary but a msrp would have been helpful.
