I like to imagine that Scott’s laying on his stomach with his feet waving in the air.
Never learn what his carpet actually is, it will haunt you
the idea of that makes me giggle
@@Lunar_Atronach my whole life was ruined when I learned the truth
I'll ruin it for him, its a carpet on a table.
I feel that he sounds like a FaceTime with my boyfriend or friends
I love that these videos still have the "Scott The Woz feeling" in it while being a different style of video
This style always reminds me of Classic Game Room; a gaming web series that looks at pretty much everything gaming. And these really feel like the hardware reviews.
@@lewatoaofair2522 Damn, I miss CGR :-(
He kinda just recently started doing it. I like it
@@lewatoaofair2522 Daaamn bro CGR. I remember I learned so much about gaming and its history from that channel. Pure gold mine for the culture. AVGN taught me a lot too. It's a shame CGR kinda disappeared and AVGN is a shell of its former self.
@@lewatoaofair2522 To me, Scott evokes that feeling I used to have when I was a kid and I gawked at Normal Boots and AVGN and I learned so much about games! I know pretty much everything Scott talks about in his videos but I would say it's the only remnant of quality left on Gaming RUclips. That and maybe Caddicarus with his shitty takes and whiny attitude and Eruption with his mechas. What do you think?
Really funny how Scott's Stash became a more traditional videogame channel over the years
I just realized that this channel has been around for over 3 years. It feels like it was yesterday.
Its like watching AVGN back in 2007-2012 when the content was fire

don’t forget about the labo wheel that works for MK8D as well, a true legend
we don't talk about labo here
We’re talkin about plastic here, not cardboard
Thought you typed mkbhd lmao
Even Scott can’t be dealing with all that cardboard.
And the motorbike handles! Both are absolutely atrocious to use, but hey, at least it helps to give you some perspective on the quality of the default motion control schemes...
I am shocked that Scott didn’t reveal he bought another Wii U specifically for the Mario colored wheel
I thought he already has that one.
@@xXOpenYourHeart759Xx He has like 5
I'm happy that now exist a Scott's Stash video on Mario Kart Wheels, but I'm also sad that this might be the last Scott's Stash video on Mario Kart Wheels
Hopefully 5 years from now we might get a remake
5 years!? I can’t wait that long! I hope it’s next week
When I discovered the first person mode as a kid I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Wait there is ?
Only in Mario Kart 7. No other game has it.
@@onerandomguy4832 did he watch the video he asked tsss off course its scott cant skip a video can i ?
I can’t believe we discovered scot in first person
This man is the only person who can get 22 minutes about an over priced piece of plastic
Imagine how long he could talk about the L button
@@roderickbawcutt the L button is actually 96% the price of any controller
@@MrDiana1706 it's true, and now that Scott has crazy RUclips money he can finally make that L Button Breakfast Cereal he's always dreamed of
@@roderickbawcutt I feel like he could get at least a 40 minute video out of if, because he would first have to explain the origin of the alphabet and why Nintendo specifically chose that letter (and not a number). It'd also include the origin of the placement of the button, etc
@@chewymew Only Scott could have a 40 minute discussion on why the L button is on the left
I remember playing Mario Kart Wii with my cousin back then, every time he used the Wii Wheel and I always said "Hey man, are you sure you want to use the Wii Wheel and not the GameCube Controller?" And yet he still went with the Wii Wheel and he always wondered why he lost.
i always won with the wii wheel until i realized that nunchuck controls was even better
In my friends group we preferred the Wiimote not in wheel vs in.
And yes when figured out the nunchuck worked it was a game changer. Far less fighting over GC controllers.
Isn't the GameCube controller kinda unconventional? Especially since tricking is mapped to the goddamn D-pad for no reason?
I just feel WiiMote and Nunchuck is the most conventional
Scott has found a niche that works, he’s mastered how to find something random and make it entertaining with his amazing commentary.
I spent 23 minutes and 21 seconds watching scott talk about wheels. This is peak living. You're a treasure scott.
*and 22 seconds
Funny how Mario kart wii did not turn out to be a casual. It actually became the most competitive game in the the whole franchise
Mario Kart Melee
ikr
I remember the day when my parents, for the beginning of the school year, bought the family a Wii and Mario kart to go with it. Truly one of the best moments of my childhood.
I got the 3DS Wheel as a birthday present back in 2012.
_Rarely_ did I ever use it as a wheel. But as a sort of grip case? It was perfect!
Yeah, it actually makes the original 3DS comfortable for hours long play sessions. Because holy poop did the original 3DS hurt after a while to play.
The Wii Wheel made my dream come true
I was able to ride Luigi!
What in the fuck
Huh
Mario Kart Wii is probably the Mario Kart that I played the most. It was so responsive, and playing with the wheel was so much fun
My life changed when I found out you could just play Mario Kart Wii with the gamecube controller...... This was in 2018. I got the game in 2008.
I like watching Scott’s stash at night, it just has more of a feeling where it is like he’s talking directly to you, probably because of the lack of a ton of editing like the usual vids
At this point Scott could do with rebranding Scott's Stash as this top tier video game talking... 20 minutes on wheels!
Scott I have to say, this type of video is a wonderful supplement with your main channel's content!
Appreciate that you took to the time to add more game footage and pictures to emphasis on some conversation to your videos on this channel more omg. I didn't mind the style of just a handcam with minimum editing at all (I could listen to Scott rambling anything tbh) but I commend you effort despite this being a side "free talk" channel
The wii wheel was my childhood, so many hours of playing with tilt controls.

Hi Scitt
Personally, I'm waiting for Mario Takes the Train, the eco friendly, accessible sequel franchise - comes with an accessory smart card that you can tap to the console's NFC reader to pay the fare
23 minutes of content about a plastic wheel. Thank you!
Scott talks about putting rectangles into circles and its actually entertaining
These are the videos we live for. Thank you scott
Surprised Scott didn't add/show off the Nintendo Labo motorcycle. It technically counts as a "Mario Kart Wheel".
Funfact: There's another, non listed in this video, official steering wheel made by Nintendo
It's the Labo Steering wheel. It's also compatible with Mario Kart and Grid, oddly enough.
Alternate title:
“A Thorough Look at Scott’s Wheels”
almost a Scott The Woz feeling episode. rather formatted and quipy. I do kinda miss the ones about specific things like this. Simple but effective.
I miss this generation of consoles so much. The wii, the 360, the DS, I wanna go back…
I don't. That hardware sucked, and I can play every game from that era that I cared about on better consoles.
Except Mario Party 8 and Wii Sports Resort.
The start of this video is like a retelling of the start of Scotts old MKwii retrospective, but longer
Can you imagine using the racing wheel for MK DS where you have to mash left and right to mini turbo?
The last game I expected to see over Scott's table was Starcraft II.
Whenever I play Mario Kart Wii with friends, it’s a race to get to either the GameCube controller or the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, no one wants to be left with the motion controls, doesn’t matter if it has the wheel or not.
Very similar experience.
I feel like it's impossible to understand how cool the Wii wheel was if you weren't there when it happened. It's easy enough to explain how it was a novelty and a big gimmick (in a good way), but it's very hard to convey the excitement that came with this plastic circle - it's very much a "if you don't understand I don't think I can explain" thing.
I don't care about any subsequent wheels, but god do I want a Wii wheel. I don't even own a single Mario kart game. But I want that damn wheel. It's so iconic
3:32 Mainly due to the fact that you can get so amazingly good at it
09:05 SCOTT FACE LEAKED
I actually bought the joycon wheels at their launch specifically for them improving the triggers of the sideways joycon when I played multiplayer at school. Ended up getting rid of them once I got a second set of joycon to take on the go, but seeing them here just unlocked so many memories
I FUCKING LOVE CIRCLES
Love this channel and its contents scott
I actually got a pair of Wii Wheels years before I got Mario Kart. They were found at a yard sale along with a pair of Wii Zappers. After a while, there were threats to get rid of them, but I insisted they stay. A year or so later, I won an auction and got Mario Kart 8. First game I ever bought at auction. I almost always use a Wii Wheel for Mario Kart, for better or for worse. The ergonomics are just that good!
The 3DS Wheel is one of those things I want just because it exists
This isn’t even Scott’s Stash anymore this is just a Scott the Woz episode
"Over Shotting and Under Shotting"
- Scott Wozniak 2022
for the wii u i was genuinely thinking scott was gonna pull out some massive ass plastic wheel shell that encases the wii u gamepad
Man this brings me back to when I had the dreamGear Wii wheel. It mounted to a table and the base was blue and the wheel was red. That was my main method of playing the Speed Racer game for the Wii and then it came back into action when I started to play Mario Kart 8. The Wii Wheel is probably my favorite Wii peripheral.
Scott talking about simracers for a moment put a smile on my face
I love the videos on this channel
Whoa, seeing scott in the 3ds reflection was delightfully jarring!
9:37 this was something as a kid that really messed me up after playing mario kart wii, i thought that the controls were the same, and almost snapped my 3ds in half trying to shake the console to do a trick
9:06 Scott face reveal
We finally know!!!
Wow he looks nothing like how I expected him to
omg!!!1!1!1111!!!!!!
I haven't used a Wii Wheel in a long time! I just use the grip cover on my Wiimote and it works just fine. Controls are phenomenal.
I've found myself more drawn to these videos recently! They're nice and full of information, but in a Scott style~~
I just got out of the hospital! And my grandparents died 17 days apart! And this was awaiting me as I was home just crazy how time flies and I really didn't know what was going on besides a lot! This game represents a part of my childhood that I can vaguely remember about the game. And more about my actual life.
Sorry for your loss my guy!
H these vids are so relaxing and comforting
I remember as a kid, I never had an official Wii Wheel. Instead, my family got some kind of third-party wheels alongside some of those dumb Wii Sports peripherals, and those were what we used for Mario Kart, since our copy was a rental from our local Movie Gallery (we eventually bought the game from the store when it closed down). I can't remember who made the wheels, but they had a split top, pink hand grips, and I think even an IR port.
I always remember this black Wii wheel that had 2 grips on the side. It felt amazing, and it was the only way I'd play
Mario Kart Wii defined my childhood with the Wii! I love that game, flaws and all, and the Wii Wheel made it even better!
15:55 I think it was because at the time of the Switch's launch they were really honing in on the fact you could play 2 player anywhere with one system.
I remember so well buying it on release. With the big box it felt like a special edition
footage of scott using a wheel to steer a bike is nuts
When I first played Mario Kart Wii in 2009, I always used the Wii Wheel because I just thought it looked cool. A few years later I just used the Wii Remote on its side and thought it actually worked way better (it also helped that I actually got good at the game). Then in high school I switched over to the Wiimote and Nunchuck and haven’t looked back since.
In additon to all of these, the steering wheel from the Nintendo Labo vehicle kit and motorcycle handlebars from the variety kit also work with MK8D.
I 100% completed Mario Kart Wii using the wheel. One of my best gaming accomplishments. I only use it when I play Mario Kart Wii. Happy to have that Gold Wheel Icon on my menu. Haha.
I remember my friend having a pair of wheels and pedals for N64. That was really fun for Mario Kart 64.
i've been playing mario kart wii online lately, it's absolutely amazing that the community is still active to this day, despite the games servers being down for at least 8 years. that game is absolutely legendary. anyone who played it growing up has to hop back online it's such a nostalgia trip
It's just a shame that most players now are complete sweats
I don't have the 3DS wheel but it at least looks like a good way to make the 3DS feel more like a traditional controller
On the topic of stache: I don't think there's enough discussion of the split that happened in Nintendo's brand image of Mario back with Paper Mario. Paper Mario depicts Mario's moustache as brown, matching his hair (as it should be!), and it also depicts the bill of his hat as brown as well. I prefer these changes. Nobody has brown hair and a black moustache.
Also, Scott, why don't you have a stache? Definitely need one to be posting here.
I always used the nunchuck in MKW, but my brothers both had wheels. We had the official one, that came with the game, and a random third party wheel (by gamexpert). I actually preferred the third party wheel whenever I did use the wheel, it was just bigger and more comfortable in my hands.
If Scott doesn't talk about the Madagascar kartz wheel, I am going to freak.
bro i was crazy with the first person mario kart 7 motion controls. i was so good i tricked every other kid into thinking it was a superior control scheme and won every race against them
Video on Wiimote skins/straps when?
People: (Plays Mario Kart)
3rd Party Companies: “Allow us to introduce ourselves.”
Scott’s stash has just become a more informal version of Scott the woz
The joycon-wheel might actually be nice for "regular" side-ways joycon use like scott mentioned! l dont really play like that anymore but around the launch when fewer of my friends had their own switches it would probably have been more comfortable to play them in those holders rather than with/without the little clasp nintendo provided. huh
I was one of the few hundred people who actually used the Joy-Con to play online. I ended up getting a used set from GameStop since I said I used tilt controls. I didn't know at the time that I could use the Pro Controller/Joy-Con grip as the wheel. I spent over 3 years playing Mario Kart with the Joy Con wheel. Lmao.
If Scott can make a twenty three minute video about the Wii Wheel, then surely he can find some way to actually make a video about the L button.
@Msg.OfficialJimmydarts0 Not even the right channel, dummy.
I FUCKING HATE CIRCLES
It amazes me how scott can make an entertaining, 23 minute (!!) video about a plastic wheel
scott should become a salesman because, had no clue a old wheel existed or a pro switch wheel but now i want one
I accidentally clicked on scotts stash and thought I was in the main channel, and I saw this video and clicked on it thinking it was a new scott upload.
it took me about 10 minutes before I realized it was a scott's stash video.
One of my favourite things abt Mario Kart Wii is that the online mode allowed you to lie about using motion controls. You had a preset set of phrases you could say before a race, and one of them was "I‘m using motion controls!", which i LOVED spamming with my Gamecube controller 😌
You're really giving Ashens a run for his money with these videos.
I remember how hard to find Mario Kart Wii was when it launched. The game launched I'm April 2008, I didn't get a copy until November that same year.
Hold up 23 minutes on wii wheels? Hell yeah baby
I got my mario kart with the wheel the Christmas it came out. My aunt got it for me, I WAS SO HYPED
Oof. I really related to not knowing what automatic & manual drift was when for a while. I didn't find out what the drift was until Mario Kart 7.
had this up on the other monitor playing trackmania and zoning out, then looked over and tuned back in at 19:17
Idk how many notice, but I love the crinkle cut cardboard edges on the Wii products
seeing a Wii remote with out a clear A button made me think i was going insane for a second. I never knew that they changed that
I loved the 3ds wheel as a kid not because it was a wheel, but because it made the ds more comfortable to hold like a normal controller
Wheelie good episode 👍
20:17, got one of these for my son's 3rd bday and he loves it. We only use it maybe once a month but if you want a real challenge, play F-Zero 99 with it.
Im a huge fan of motion controls, the arcade series, 7, gyro in tour enabled. just bought the wii wheel, console and mk wii (missed out on the console as a kid) which comes tomorrow, nice timing of the video lol.
I played Mario Kart Wii so much as a kid, so I became one of those people who was good with the wheel
Great video
scott’s stash is just scott the woz but not canon
We need more Scott ranting about obsolete Nintendo products.
Technically there was a GameCube wheel as well. It was more similar to the last two wheels Scott showed. It wasn’t exclusively “Mario Kart” themed but one of the booklets in the DoubleDash case advertised it being compatible with the game.
For how much love I have for this game it’s crazy that I only played it at my friends house. I never owned it for whatever reason.
