  • My 5900X really struggled with this game, so I was curious how the 7800X3D would handle it. The improvements are night and day as you can see.

    For me TAA and frame regeneration provides the best visuals. DLSS 3 looks weird.

    • @extrabenbuja
      @extrabenbuja  Год назад +2

      Probably because of the forced sharpening. DLSS versions without the sharpening look a lot better in my opinion.

      @@extrabenbuja It depends on the area you're flying in also. Overall TAA just looks best to me with the frame generation from the 40 series GPU's.

      Dlss 3 is pretty bad for Msfs. It makes your glass cockpit refresh rate plummet and makes it hard to read the altitude. I just use TAA with frame génération and get 100+ fps with it on

    Well since you fps are high, how can you lock them at let's say 65? It will help the game and system to run better.

    140 fps? What if you try Fenix or Asobo ATR, with FSLTL Traffic and Inibuilds KJFK in Ultra Settings? hmm You can`t get 140 fps can you?

      @@elmallocIt is not worth it to pay an extra 700 dollars on a good day for AI generated frames. This isn’t even a hardware success. 4090 gets barely 50 FPS in dense cities without FG. DLSS just makes the dials look blurry.
      This game is CPU limited and is not a good game to compare GPU’s.
      Not to mention the 7900xtx was never meant to compete with the 4090. It’s a 4080 competitor.

      @@Sengial bruh what?? People who fly airliners do not use dlss anti alliasing. It makes the glass cockpit refresh rate look very bad and is impossible to use. It’s very hard to reach your actual altitude with dlss on. 90% of real flight simmers just use TAA

    do you have your 4090 under volted to keep your watts to max out at 280

    • @extrabenbuja
      @extrabenbuja  Год назад +1

      I have different undervolting presets, one is for around 300 Watts max and one for 350-380 that is faster than the stock settings.

    • @extrabenbuja
      @extrabenbuja  9 месяцев назад

      The low power usage undervolt is 0.875v at 2550 Mhz, the high power is 0.960v at 2750 Mhz with memory overclock of +1500 Mhz. Both presets are not 100% stable though, over time I noticed some crashes in some games so I tweaked them a bit. Just apply higher voltage if it's unstable. It will vary per GPU. Also if you're unsure how to undervolt properly, I might make a tutorial video. @@elmalloc

    • @extrabenbuja

      I assume the 7800X3D is better in MSFS since it has 8 vcache cores and the 7900X3D has only 6, but I'm not 100% sure that it really makes a tangible difference. Maybe you can find a benchmark that compares those CPUs
