I've spent last few days sourcing a rig and I kid you not I have a 3XS build in the basket from Scan which pretty much mirrors this video, the ONLY difference is my CPU is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. I'm at the checkout for £3528.84! Can't wait for this bad boy to arrive!!!
You should never fit a Aio radiator with the inlet/outlet pipes at the top. Any air in the system (there is air in every system by design) will be at the top of the rad and will cause cavitation in the pump both reducing cooling and causing excessive wear.
No issue at all, the pipes are under the pump. What you want to avoid is having the pipes above the pump (the top edge of the radiator). Gamers Nexus video has been massively misinterpreted by many people.
@@EimisMantis ... pipes are on the of the radiator at the top of the case and above the pump. Air rises to the top of the rad and enters the outlet pipe to the pump. I don't a GN video to tell me that is the incorrect way to install it.
Nothing wrong with it mate. Don't listen to the bullshit on the internet been building custom PCs and custom water loops for years and have tested thousands of different loop routes and rad configs. It's amazing how the syphon effect works 😂 it's even better with a pump. Sum ppl have all the gear and no idea.
I have absolutely no clue what any of that gear is or what any of those acronyms mean either, however....... it all looks pretty cool and it obviously works the flight sim beautifully. I shall indeed reach out to those people and get some advice for how to buy my first proper gaming PC. Oh, just one more thing...... do I need a second screen??
Excellent, glad you found the video helpful. You don't need a second screen, it's just nice to have if you are using charts whilst flying or want to have an app or browser open whilst flying
Scan was pretty horrible when I had a defective motherboard while building a similar machine. Very insensitive to customers losing a lot of money, treating you like a scammer before anything…
You set the terrain level of detail - which is the most impactful setting - to only 100, half the scale. And with all the gear you got only 65 fps. Try to run at really full detail and redo this video.
I just bought a new Powercolor Red Devil AMD RX7800XT and waiting for it to arrive the minimal stock they had here in NZ sold out pretty fast, am upgrading from a 6750XT not expecting a huge upgrade cause 7800XT still a mid range card but be nice going from RDNA2 to a RDNA3 GPU but also gaining another 4GB Vram over 6750 will be more future proof, I expect better RT performence too I have a I7 11700K CPU.. I cant afford a 4090 its just a pipe dream, lol MSFS seems to run good for me at 1440p for me with the 6750 atm on ultra settings.
can you tell us or make a video on the settings you have i bought all this stuff and would like to have the same settings as this video as msfs 2020 looks amzing here can you share the settings please
Awesome build Martin, massive GPU with is it a 6 way or 8 way power from the Modular PSU. Is that a 12 or 16 gig Graphics Card, had to give that a firm push I imagine into the PCIE slot/socket. RAM needs a bit of a push to seat it as well. Is this an Intel or AMD processor build. Fantastic FPS and the rig didn't even flinch or stutter when you were pushing maximum AI and Graphics. I am very jealous, glad the pc is running sweet and is used for Video rendering and editing etc. 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
i am looking to do same build on 2 4k oled monitors, will this handle everything on ultra setting and which OLED gaming 4k do you recommend to go with it

What about all the peripherals? You're building a flight sim pc, make it a flight sim pc. You just jammed every expensive pc part in there, plugged an Xbox controller and called it a flight sim pc.
I just bought all this stuff I got the 6000 ddr5 ram and the ryzen chip what settings should I have them at in bios as my ram is showing nowhere near 6000 and do I need to oc the cpu
All you need to know you can search for on RUclips, as for your Ram memory, you have to set them in EXPO mode in Bios and you should undervolt your CPU, search for PBO settings.
Asus X670 Prime-P, is a basic motherboard, and you should have something much better than that. R9 7950X3D is a waste of money. Due to the rendering nature of Flight SIM 2020, and using this for editing, you would be better off with the R9 7950X. The R9 7950X3D is a gaming CPU and nothing else. Still, if this is what Scan supplied you with, then so be. It's still good, but could be better. With Flight SIM 2024 coming, I will build a new PC with the 14th gen Intel and of course a RTX 4090. Great stuff guys.
Cheers Ian, mostly this PC is used for gaming. Flight Sim content was the brief for this so the 3D cache was perfect. Really happy with the build overall
60fps I done a 4090 build I find I get better fps with the 7900xtx then the 4090. I would save the 3500 bucks and buy a 7900xtx 6000mhz ddr5 with Sam. Wait till the prices come down not worth buying a 4090 ATM navidia are being rip off pricks ATM.
Me with my GTX1660 and 30FPS at best on MSFS : "I'm fine"
Love this comment 😂 pinned
@@AirlinersLive Oh, didn't expect that 😅

Same man, it’s like 5-10fps with fsltl at something like Gatwick
I have a 1660, it is ok for me
It's easier to fit the CPU , M.2 and RAM to the motherboard before fitting it in the case Martin
Why would you set the fans on the radiator for intake? All you would do is pull the heat from the radiator back into the case.

You both are wrong as you can mount a radiator anyway you want to. Some ways are better than others, but there is definitely not a wrong way.

Why not setting the terrain to 400🤷♂️
7800x3d would be just fine cuz the 7950x3d has problems with windows allocating the non 3dv cache cores to yhe the sim/games
