Yes, definitely a game changer.
The Foxbody is continuing to evolve.
Griggs has had their SLA setup available forever now.
Freaking awesome. Can you imagine with the cobra irs and this set up
That is amazing. That will bring some many people back to the foxbody culture
You know what that means… Foxbody prices will 📈📈📈💵💵💵
Will this setup be good for a street strip car or just track use only
@@lldjslim ive seen the Griggs kit on several road course/AutoX cars and some drove their cars 4-5hrs to the track, they were a little put off by the price when they first bought it but after driving and beating on the car a little while they said they would never buy another strut again as ling as the SLA was available.
@young11984 that's good news, havnt found anyone with the Grigs kit but have been wanting it for like 8 years now. Think I'll finally pull the trigger on it. At 14k$ for a full speced kit it's definitely spendy.
Cut the towers for more room. Reminds me of a stang 2 suspension set up
That looks great. Be interested in sticking that on my black turbo fox.
Now if only someone made something to replace rusty shock towers
This is amazing!
Should be able to that to the SN95. That would be sweet
Griggs makes one
Time for bagged foxes 😏😏
This is super crazy great definitely a big game changer....can't wait for it to come out an see all the setups...great up close video
Agent 47 had double a arm for foxbody
That was done in the 90s , just never marketed well. Thanks Thanks
Man you were not kidding, street handling Foxbody with manners, wow that is freaking amazing. This is going
to change foxes, and sn95 s as well.
That's an amazing system. Absolutely incredible.
Man, that's great. And we only had to wait 30 years! So, when do we get that bolt in IRS?
You have that available since 99...
Can't wait to see that rear setup.
This is awesome. Definitely a game changer
Griggs Racing has had a SLA for the fox for years, however it is pricey.
Is there a price tag on ride tech yet.. I'm sure it ain't cheap.. and will we be able to get 1 when we order it or it it be on back order forever with all this hype it's getting..
So has Bart works, and agent 47.... I always saw that as a very small market..
But nobody has a SLA with S550 brake compatible spindles though, im almost positive this will be quite a bit more pricey than 47, Griggs etc too
I qant them caddy brakes anyway .. f a s550. Your heavy ass need more brake..
This looks awesome!
We've got two foxes in the shop so looks like one will have to get this.
I honestly never thought of a foxbody as anything more than a straight line car, this is a game changer.
Need to get out more lol, piles of them at road courses before the S550 popped up with factory IRS
Man that’s awesome. I don’t do much track racing but have been thinking of making my ssp coupe a fun car to drive and this may do that well.
Cool setup, I don't know that it is MIND BLOWING.
If only now we can get new a IRS for the Fox/SN95
RideTech is taking orders as we speak. It's going to be pricey when you add the S550 center section, spindles, and brakes. But I'm saving my pennies.
I have one of the original Fox Body's. 1984 Thunderbird 5.0 loaded with Posi. Still only just over 13,500 miles on it. I'm gonna sell it soon.
That is total 🔥🔥🔥.... Game over!! 🤯
A Fox SLA has been done before (Griggs, Agent 47, Barts Works, etc.) but none have been practical/affordable for the street market. The aforementioned companies didn't see a big enough market to invest in R&D, nor did they see a substantial geometry improvement over the strut. Would I buy one? Yup but more for the added inboard tire clearance.
With some modifications I can use that on the 71-73 Pinto. There is nothing for those bad boys that’s modern…I’m going to investigate this asap.
Id like to see some real world track testing on this set up. Did he give any specs for where the roll center is and what other geometry gets affected?
I knew there was a reason I didn't buy my control arms for my qa1 crossmember. This is awesome another part for the largest aftermarket.
That ride tech stuff is so cool wow !
Cool stuff. Start saving now boys and girls
I would keep the strut towers as the mounting points for the strut brace
Found the suspension I want for my Cougar
Amazing! Factory style tailpipes on the rear?
very ingenuitive. i wonder however about the added stresses to the frame rail now. I'm assuming there aren't really any. they must have raced around the track enough to see. my question is how does this compare to Maximum Motorsports front end kit that uses the stock location. they have years of racing to back it up. how would it compare to this?
same thing with rear, this one compared to MMM torque arm
I'd like to see a ABS conversion kit for the fox body
Love the 50 percent solution.
Haha I met Matt today he lives close to us and he is really cool and has a beautiful 86 gt
Ride tech has wicked stuff man 🤘
How about that front sla with a independent read suspension?
won't do any good for drag racing in my opinion. 6" spring no travel or stored energy in spring...but yes it will be a game changer for road course guys.
Agreed. Not ideal for drag racing. But drag guys have lots of options already anyway.
This is freaking awesome
Wow! that is funny within the pass 3 years a lot of promising from a few big suspension companies. About a ground breaking front suspension but nothing yet the only one that has some type of front suspension like this is GRIGGS RACING for about 12k. So I hope these companies will deliver and have it priced at a much lower price hopefully way below 12k.
That’s going to save a lot more foxes especially the ones with the rotted towers
Im liking that. Brilliant
Awesome!
My only question which I did ask when I was there on Saturday was do K member spacers affect any of the engineered suspension angles? I did also ask about tail pipes, and no you can’t run them unless you’re really creative. Either way some high quality stuff for a fox!
Tail pipes with the rear kit would be run under the rear axle and under the panhard bar. Similar to how it’s often done with the early mustang rear 4 link kits.
Awesome stuff. Should've done eccentrics for caster/camber instead of shims IMHO
Game changer??? Griggs has had this out for 15+ years. Hell a dude from the old CornerCarvers forums had one for Fox Bodies too 10+ years ago. Nothing new and nothing revolutionary. My guess is it has the RideTech name on it so $$$$. Buy a Griggs GR40 system SLA front and a Watts link rear for sub $12k and it has been race proven. Just saying. Now come in under $7500 using those off the shelf spindles and it would be worth it. I love the use of the S550 rear hubs.
Agree with you, can you say Mustang II or Pinto hardware. I guess some viewers don’t get out much!
This is absolutely game changing. Super stunned and shocked!!!!!! Like simply wow!!!!
Not sure about the rigidity, will have to wait and see
Saving up now...
Lower ctr of gravity in the nose. Awesome
I've been wanting this forever, shame the S650 didn't implement this.
It’s been around for a very long time. Griggs and agent 47 has been doing jt
Hope the economy stabilize so we can have all this goodness!
I wonder if this would work on a LSC 1989
Wonder if the will sell an air ride option for it.
They said their shockwave will work
Yes!
A Mustang II front suspension for the Fox Body.
More things to bleed your pockets ✨️
What were the spindles from??
If I had 10k I'd grab that front end kit
I want one. It has to be easier then fixing the whole shock tower when rusted out
Why didn't that come out 1o yrs earlier..looks so simple lol.
How does that translate to a Mk VIII?
I thought something like this was around back in the day, but it never caught on. I swear I seen it a MM&FF magazine or was it the old Super Ford magazine.
If they make them adjustable the drift community would jump on them
who's gonan come out with the first replica fox body? you could smooth a lot of those chassis stampings out for a stronger and lighter chassis and use already available body panels.
Holy Shit Batman!! That's cool!
Woo nice
double wishbone short throw foxbody? yes please
I wonder how rough it'll ride for someone that likes to Street their car but also do some road course.
This fit sn95??
Should do wonders for my 04 COBRA...
Thats epic shit, lol
Hmmm.... This or a Maximum Motorsports front coil over set up? 🤔🤔
.... and now I wait lol
What's so crazy is the price...🤣🤣
Bro your content is amazing. I love your videos. But it's time to invest in a mic!
HERE IS THE BIG BIG QUESTION , HOWWWWWWW MUCHHHHHHHHH?????? PRETTY COOL THOUGH
Wish they would go with a watts link instead of pan hard bar.
Welcome back to the Mustang II front end, lol. Honestly never understood why Ford brought back the Strut towers aft the II had such a great front end.
strut front ends are cheap to produce
Can we please get some road racing stuff for an s10??? They are about as popular as foxbodies but get no love from aftermarket! Ridetech is quality stuff but I don't have $5k to put into a $500 s10!
Affordable if your putting over 50,000 in it
Will this be developed for the Panther Platform as well?
This is already the suspension setup on the 03+ Panthers
@@jvincemusic that's good to know, thank you. I'm looking at a Crown Vic LX from a coworker but he doesn't know the year. And I'm waiting to look at it until after he has the title in hand.
Oh look mustang 2
Are those knuckles aluminum or steel?
Hopefully aluminum
Kind of putting a pinto rac in a fox?
And I JUST put BAER 4 wheel disc brakes, shocks/struts, factory bushings and control arms etc. on my 87 Notch....🤷🤦🤷🤦
My apologies for sounding uneducated on this, but the current production mustang uses shock towers? How is eliminating the shock towers a benefit. It’s just seems like everything offered in this kit could still be retrofitted with what’s out there now. Sorry just trying to understand. Thxs
These cars were designed from the factory to have the coil spring under the frame rail separate from the strut so the weight of the vehicle was not 100% on the strut tower. Also the factory strut geometry had pitiful camber gain through travels. Strut geometry requires running around -3 degrees of static camber to have a decent contact patch of tire on the ground on one side while in a turn on the track. The sla has enough dynamic camber gain through travel that the contact patch can be near constant and you don’t have to sacrifice tire contact patch down the straightaways and under breaking like a strut setup does by not having to run anywhere near as much static camber in your setup. Running the usual coilover kit to the strut tower like we are used to puts extra stress on the towers that the car was not designed for causing often unwanted noises and movement in the front.
@@thecerbinator ah gotcha thank you!
Well it fit a 95
call me crazy but would be cool if they offered it in a 4 lug too so we could still do this and worry about 5 lug at a later time. Or keep it 4 lug as some of us love our OEM 93 cobra wheels lol
Will this work on sn95?
Sn95 track width is .75” per side wider than on a fox
@@thecerbinator so no?
@@thecerbinator even if its on side of frame?
I was kind of disappointed you didn’t use the word epic several times!
Not sure if anyone has asked you this but after watching this video, I have a question, have you spoken to any companies about making foxbody shells? The aftermarket companies have all the parts to build a foxbody. All that is missing is a shell. Considering the age of these cars, many are in ok to poor shape. The ones in good shape are getting ridiculously expensive.
Any weight reduction
This is all pricey stuff but I’ll bet that car is a completely different animal afterwards.
So basically it’s putting Chevy technology from the seventies on a Ford 👍🏼 nice…..and then what did the fox say?
I assume this will work on sn95 and new edges?
94-04 track width is different than on a fox
Pretty darn cool. but not at all new. Griggs racing, Agent 47 and a few others were building Fox SLA systems decades ago. I built my own continuously modifying it over the years. It is a great way to gain traction in the front of a Fox/SN95 chassis.
