As long as all 4 TPMS sensors are working (i.e. non-dead TPMS battery), this is the way to "re-learn" them, otherwise if you have a bad sensor, you'll likely release all the air out of the tire and never receive the horn chirp acknowledgment - also, you only have a set amount time to do all 4 tires - I believe it's around 3 - 5 minutes . But folks, this procedure is written in your owners manual!!! But thanks for demonstration - nice to see a successful "re-learn".
good video. they changed the procedure for the 2008 Yukon Denali.. 1. Parking brake. 2. Ignition to run without starting. 3. Hold lock and unlock buttons on fob until horn honks twice. Then let the air out of each tire untl one honk, etc.. the rest of the procedure is the same. thanks for the advice. Paddy
Thank you , thank you, thank you I actually screwed this up by pressing the check mark when I shouldn't of and you helped save me a lot of work, time, and money I couldn't have done it without you thank you.
2005 1500 LT 4x4 Suburban: Procedures are in the owner's manual. I watched various videos trying to find what worked and each one was slightly different. Step 1: Set Parking Brake. Step 2: Turn the ignition "ON", but don't actually start the car. Step 3: The key I was missing was turning the exterior parking light on (from auto to parking light) four times in less than three seconds. Some videos showed moving the lights from auto to the left, mine was from the auto position to the right). I had to wait a few seconds for the horn to sound three times but it worked. From there I lowered the pressure of the front left tire first for ten seconds. I stepped away and it took between six and ten seconds to get the single horn "reply" for each tire. I did this to each tire in this order (LF, RF, RR, LR). Step 4: Turned the ignition off. Step 5: Re inflate tires. Note: I had an initial reading of "zero" PSI on all four. I turned the car off, waiting a few minutes and it registered perfectly. Hope this helps the Suburban owners.
Good video. Something I need to do on my wife's Denali when we get it back from the mechanic. I'm having some MagnaFlow catalytic converters, and a Flowmaster Super 40 Muffler installed.
Great video however for some reason I couldn't get it to work on my 2007 Yukon? I went through the steps mention, got the horn to blow twice, it went into relearn mode but it couldn't identify any of the tires even after removing the threaded part of the valve and letting the tire go almost completely flat? I also think I have one bad sender in one of the tires because it only identifies 3 wheels. Thanks for your time though putting this video together.
Thx was just what I was looking for at least its not key on power radio hold ff and back for specific time turn key to off position more time then turn to middle position and off then start the vehicle 😂😂😅 You know like gm vehicle of the past But no kidding thx for stepping up and helping everyone
Not all GM vehicles have the check to relearn tire sensor screen as demonstrated in this video. I believe on your vehicle you... 1) Turn the key to the on position 2) Hold lock and unlock simultaneously on the key fob and wait for the honk 3) Follow the video from this point. I work at a Cadillac dealership as a service advisor. All vehicles are done differently, but I'm fairly certain that is how it is done for your vehicle. Best of luck.
great video. will try this at a gas station so i can refill right away. front passenger reads blank so hoping this helps. ask this time i thought a GM tool was needed, smh
Hello, thank you for the great video. However it does not work on my 2010 tahoe.. I went through the steps mention. I just got the horn to blow twice. After that I took the air off and it never horn back again. I also think I have 1 bad sensor cause it only identifies 3 of them. Please help me. Thank you
I have a 2007 Tahoe and I tried it exactly like you did it on the video but mine will recognize the beginning of the learning process. Can you tell me if there is something else that could be going on
I took out the valve stem but I still cant put in the green goop for fixing flats, it seems like there is something deeper inside, is it the sensor, can I take it or somehow?
Thanks but this does not work with a 2007 GMC Envoy SLT. There is no place in the menu to "relearn the tire positions" and where you reset the tire pressure the horn never sounds. I tried as soon as it resets but I emptied out most of the time and still no horn sound. Found another site that says to use the keypad by pressing the lock/unlock buttons at the same time but this does not work either.
didnt work for my 2007 yukon, i let air out the front left tire, it beeped once then i let air out on the front right tire and it beeped twice, so i went backwards with left front tire to rear left to rear right all went good with one beep then the front right tire beep twice, then i went in and turn key off and fill up the tires a little turn the key on to the on position and all the tires on the TPMS had no numbers. What can i do to fix this problem?
BroncoCarl92 ... you video IS / WAS very useful!! I have a 2008 and I'm not sure if a friend of mine at my local "Just Tires" has done this procedure ... I am getting a low reading at the RF tire ... and I'm not sure if the RF is actually at the RF position ... so I will take the steps to insure the correct positions and then check for a faulty sensor .... THANKS AGAIN
After LF tire it wont switch to second tire. Even i took 1 min air out still stays on same side, then light goes off wont switch to next tire how its supposed to be.
I would suggest to try going to a different wheel, if it works then the sensor at the wheel that didn't do it is not working anymore and would need to be replaced. I hope that helps.
I did it and the passenger rear Didn't beep even after 45 seconds I continúed with last one, it beeped but, inwent to inflate them to 30 psi...i don't think it worked, mayor a bad sensor
could be a bad sensor. but if you're getting readings from all maybe you didn't let enough air out. I rotated the tires today and I had to drop the pressure to about 18 PSI before the horn went beep on each one.
@@Broncocarl92 but for example if i put 4 new compatible sensors and i discard the old sensors and reprogram via dlc can work or i need special tpms device

Thanks alot! I have done this before but had forgotten about step 2.
Worked perfectly for my 2009 yukon
Muchos thankius sir it worked perfectly on a 2007 suburban. I was already tired seen that pinche light on.
Great video! Straight to the point! I couldn't remember how to reset the positions manually, this video is very acurate!
Thank you , thank you, thank you I actually screwed this up by pressing the check mark when I shouldn't of and you helped save me a lot of work, time, and money I couldn't have done it without you thank you.
I always wondered why the tmps wouldn't work right after a tire rotation in my mom's 08 Acadia. Thanks for the video it was a huge help!
I just recently had my tires rotated and now this 🤦🏽♀️. Hopefully it works for my Tahoe.
Thank You! Worked great on a 2007 Tahoe LT. Saved me a costly trip to the dealer!
+PowerstrokeRacing24 Glad to help out. Thanks for watching.
I have the same vehicle, glad I seen this video. My system is off balance. Tps sign been on for a while.
Worked exactly as described on 2007 Sierra Denali and the 'service tire' went off when complete. Thanks!
Great video works for 2007 Escalade also, I’ve always thought I needed a special tool
Just performed this on my 2007 Escalade EXT and it worked perfectly! Thanks!
Flat spares suck. My wife would drive me nuts if she a system like that one, the basic TPMS that's on her Vibe is bad enough. Good video Carl.
Thank you. Changing all tires and wheels myself so this is helpful. GOOD point on checking the spare
Thank You!!!! Saved me a lot of time and trip to the dealer!! Have a good one!
+Justen Payne Thanks you too.
Thanks. Great video. Easily explained. That's how you keep it simple!!!
Thank you Sir, I was able to take care of the tmps issue thanks to your video, much appreciated!

Great information sir. Especially for the spare tire.👍
mike Lowry thank you
I tried it just now on my 2012 Yukon Denali and it's not working. The horns not beeping when I let the air out the first tire
mike Lowry try a different tire, if the horn beeps you have a bad senor.
@@Broncocarl92 ok because my driver side mirror turn signal is on for me to start there but on the dash it's not showing any pressure for it

Very well done and easy to follow and comprehend. Thanks.
My dumbass started with the wrong tire! LMAO!
Thank you man, saved me like $100!!
That was so helpful. Thank u so much
Hell yeah awesome video man... Worked for me
On my 09 Denali it's pretty much the same. Except you start the reset with HOLDING both the lock and unlock switch on the remote.
I put new rims and tires was trying this til it honked but then i remebered what if new tires dnt have sensors?
What are you pushing or doing to get the dash to go to tire mode .If you don't have the book

you only have two minutes to do the first tire, and five minutes total to reset all of them.
Thank you, fallowed. Did it for me.
Definitely helpful video. Thank you so much.
does it matter if i have 3 metal sensors and 1 rubber sensor?
worked perfect!!!!! Thanks I thought I had a bad tpms
Awesome. Worked great on my 2008 Silverado
thanks for the tip worked awesome
this should work for my 07 avy ..thank you so very much friend =8^D

What do you do if it just says tire pressure monitoring system? And all the psi are at zero for all tires?
thank you so much for uploading this video!
now I know how to do with my Cadillac thx man! :D

Not working @ my 2015 Escalade ESV, no matter I let out 5 seconds or 30 seconds, nothing happened, weired....Have successfully set to learning mode.
Also the may only apply to GMC and Chevy.... Escalades are Cadillacs
thanks!!!!!!
useful information
thanks buddy, big help
What about a 2015 Sierra
worked on my 2010 GMC sierra. THANKS
does this also work on a 04 tahoe, not the way you start off but the whole procedure with taking out the air
honestly I don't know. sorry about that
Tank you sr
Works a lot easier with a TPM relearn tool. They're fairly inexpensive and you don't have to re-adjust the tire pressures.
very helpful thank you
Will this work on a different set of GM wheels other then the stock?
Kenan Sabani yes as long as a compatible set of sensors are installed in those wheels.
Very helpful
thanks
QUESTION: why do u need to relearn the tire positions????
does vehicle have to be turned completely on or just to on position
just have the key on
CHEDA BOB
Will this work after you have a new rim/tire on?
Torch TV as long as there's a new compatible sensor in there yes
What if i only need to re-learn one?
""wow" that really works thanks a lot buddy

can I do this to my 2007 chevy Tahoe??? so no tools needed?
Way to beat the system . I work at G.M.C Car dealer ship in the severice dept and would never thought of that.

good work
After LF tire it wont switch to second tire. Even i took 1 min air out still stays on same side, then light goes off wont switch to next tire how its supposed to be.
I would suggest to try going to a different wheel, if it works then the sensor at the wheel that didn't do it is not working anymore and would need to be replaced. I hope that helps.
Awesome! Thanks a lot!
I tried doing it for 5 seconds and it never gave me the confirmed honk I waited so long that the truck exited the TPMS menu.
So I guess that answers that question... Thanks

2010 Yukon doesn't have a setting that says relearn tpms
Chasemanuti press the lock & unlock buttons on the “key fob” at the same time that’s the difference on the 2010
