LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING THIS MAN IS THE BEST MACHANIC IN THE WORLD HANDS DOWN literally made my damn day not paying 100 bucks for something to just let air out of my car
I had to replace one of these sensors in my 2010 Silverado and called the dealer I bought it from to get a quote. They told me 1.0 hr - 1.5 hrs @ $125 I laughed at them and started searching RUclips and came across this video. It worked for me exactly as described in this video, no tools except an air compressor WOW! Thanks South Main Auto👌👍
You have saved me a lot of pains to figure this out. Even though this video is 2 years old. If I lived in New York State , I would visit your repair facility to have work done.People like you make our lives a lot easier. Thanks again!
Thank you for this video. I had new TPMS units put on all my tires by a shop that couldn’t get my car to recognize the new units. I followed your clear instructions, and it worked!
This guy is seriously the hero of all RUclips literally puts out every bit of information for almost anything and it's almost always spot on. Just wanted to take a minute and say thank you sir you help me out in multiple different occasions and I greatly appreciate that
Repair video in under 5 minutes who do you think you are? :P Awesome video gonna save a lot of people potential headache worrying about their tire pressures. Great video.
I discovered this channel a few years ago and you continue to save me money again and again. Eric and Mrs. O, the work you do to make these videos happen is appreciated more than you'll ever know. I know my way around a toolbox pretty well but these little tips are priceless when a home-gamer is simply trying to keep the vehicles in the stable healthy and happy. "Thanks for watchin", you say? Sir, there aren't enough "Thanks for teaching" for me to give to you. Stay safe and keep up the fantastic work!
Eric, your channel is such a gift. How lucky we are in the day of RUclips to be able to peak behind the curtain to watch the experts work so that the initiated can observe and learn. Thank you!
This definitely was the video to watch. I set up the learning as recommended and I took the pressure out of all 4 tires (I took more from the 2 front tires than I planned and just enough to make a difference in the rear). The system indicated both front tires tires were low then it only showed the left front (the one with the original problem). I turned the ignition off and back on and the TPMS light was gone. Thanks for making the video...it made the difference, saved me from going to the dealer or even buying the reset tool and was well worth the effort!
I’m sitting in a waiting room right now while my guys change out a leaking valve. $125 is what the sensor costs apparently. 🔥🔥You’ve got a very different persona six years from this video. All my best Eric O. 🔥🔥
I just did mine today, worked like a charm. I had a local tire shop replace all sensors I purchased from Amazon for 50 bucks and brought the learning tool, I needed my original key fob battery changed Job complete. Thanks to the mechanic for posting this video.
Thanks for the help! One of the only videos that explains this process properly. I was fighting to get my TPMS done in my 2013 Sierra & was having problems. Didn't know to turn the lights off & that the indicator would tell me where to start. Had it done in no time thanks to this video 👍
Saved me a trip back to Pep Boys. Installed all new TPMS for all four tires. The so called Mechanic at Pep Boys was unable to program. Watched your vid and voila! Thanks!!!
I was absolutely astonished to learn that my 2019 Ram 3500 DRW *automagically* re-learned tire position after I rotated tires. It took about two miles drive but I saw the display update when it figured out the new location of each of the six tires.
Your method without the tool is still working. I just bought a 2025 Yukon Denali, I installed a new set of 22’s with new sensors. Presto on the first try.
Thanks for taking the time to make this video! I used the no-tech key fob method on 2009 lucerne. Worked like a charm. Had to let alot of air out of 2 of the 4 tires to get the horn to beep. No problem, compressor was there and ready. Thanks again
This process worked great with my $10 reset tool from Amazon. I had rotated my own tires, so I needed to do that. I just scrolled to the tire pressure readout, with the key on, and held down the center checkmark button. It went into reset mode. Took 5 minutes for the whole procedure. On my 2015 Impala, letting the air out will not work. Thanks Eric
Awesome bro. I didn't know there was away without the programmer we use at work that gets the same job done. If someone else is already using it, and I'm working on a GM, you just saved me some time. :)
Thanks a bunch for this video. Yours was the only one that was complete and understandable enough to get the job done. After replacing all tpms sensors, I spent most of the day chasing my tail trying to get them all programmed. none of the other videos I watched helped, but yours did. Thanks again. Now to figure out why a scan tool does not communicate with the truck.
Great video Eric! I have had a few Chevy and GMC 2500 and 3500 models come in my shop with complaints of Stability control problems that were caused by someone not relearning tire positions on these vehicles that have differing pressure specs front (55) and rear (80) after rotation even though they did correct pressures thus not only causing TPMS lamp to come on but also stability control issues! Have seen this from from dealer serviced trucks if you can believe it! GM's not too bad to get into TPMS tire position learn mode but the late model push button start Fords can make you crazy!
thank you so much for this video! the yahoo who rotated my tires didn't reset the sensor and the car's owner's manual is worthless in this regard. thanks again!
Tpms light on and LF sensor showing 3 lines as if it was not working i used a relocation learn tool and light is off and all 4 sensors working. Thank you great video. Just a side note i watch tons of your videos very informative for us folks who dont have a ton of money to spend. I truly respect honest mechanics.

Just had a sensor go bad, shop was humping my leg to schedule an appointment and install new sensor for $150. $36 for sensor and supplies along with your video, I'm on my way. Thanks for the clear information.
It worked for my 2007 Grand Prix!! It didn't turn on any of the exterior lights after the double horn honk, but it sensed the loss in tire pressure and gave a very short horn honk then I went to the next tire and repeated the process. Great, quick video! Thanks for the help.

I never new that you could turn the lights off and it would light up the marker lights that's for the info Eric o! that's why I watch you're videos never to old to learn
If one doesn’t beep while letting the air out, is that a bad sensor? My suburban is skipping the front passenger side beep even after over 30 secs of air release. I hit a pot hole last night which triggered the light. I’ve tried this method twice and now none of the sensors are showing pressure. Seems the front one is screwing the process up for me.
I am so glad you made this video. My granddaughter has a 09 impala the TPMS came on. The car said what tire was low, but it was fine. Another one was low. I asked if tires were rotated. She had no clue. Lol. This video will allow me to set them right. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much! I Have a 2008 lacrosse. Had 2 new sensors installed. The shop said I needed to take it and have it connected to a scan tool. I used your method, and it worked the 1st time. My car didn’t light up the lights, and when it finished on the left rear I got a single beep followed by a double beep. Turned the key off and checked, all 4 sensors are reading. Inflated the tires back up with my sun joe. Done!
Thanks for the video. The relearn worked for my 2011 Buick enclave. I used the TPM45A tpms sensors from rockauto. They cost me $125 and they are programed so that relearn will work as you said. A local tire shop replaced them for $40.
Another great video in the nick of time just had my winter tires put on my winter rims and they’re going back on the car in the shop said after I get them on bring the car back and they’ll reprogram everything well now I don’t have to go thank you very much you have a great channel you’re a very good knowledgeable teacher❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This worked to perfection step by step with brand new GM tire pressure sensors I bought off amazon. I bought brand new tires from Walmart for my 2008 GMC Yukon Denali and they put the tire sensors on for free I programmed them my self just like the video said. Saved $500 was a quote I got on putting them on and programming.

Thank the lawsuits against Ford & Firestone when ppl drove their Explorers oblivious to their under inflated tires, & attorneys successfully placed the blame on Ford & Firestone when the overheated, crumbled on the inside, tires finally blew, sometimes causing rollover accidents.
@@johngabriella5426 "Firestone argued that vehicle weight, tire design, low recommended inflation pressure, and lower tire adhesion for tires manufactured at the Decatur, IL factory contributed to the tire failures. Ford argued that the tire design led to higher operating temperatures compared to similar tires manufactured by Goodyear and that differences in manufacturing at Decatur led to weaker tires that were more prone to failure. Ford also argued that the size of the wedge, a strip of rubber between the first and second belts, is smaller in Firestone tires than Michelin tires making them weaker than comparable Michelin tires."
stchman thank you, I been inflating and deflating my tire on my 2013 Cruze over and over with no beep of the horn, and I had a shop check the sensor and it worked.
I could not get my 2008 Impala to go into TPS re-learn with the dash buttons. But the IGN ON and press both LOCK & UNLOCK worked the first time. Thanks!!
LOL More unnecessary crap on the cars huh. I remember when you could fix most anything with a screwdriver and a couple wrenches. All this added crap boosts the price of cars AND is doomed to fail eventually Nice tip tho..
This worked perfectly for my 2011 Tahoe. All these years I had to come back to the shop after rotation, cause they never reset and it pisses me off. Thank you for sharing!
hi. thank you very much. I have 2017 GMC 2500. I just got the EL-50448. I follow your instruction. that works out very good. this is my first time with myself. I did it . thank you very much
Thank you very much for the info. "What do I know"? You know a lot about vehicles. Love your channel! I have a 2015 Equinox that all the sensors have quit working. Or I should say my wife has...
Well i damn near deflated the whole tire waiting for the honk 🤷🏻♂️ ill just continue to use my pocket psi reader I got from discount tire. Great video im sure it worked for others 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great video! I was thinking about buying larger sized OEM wheels/tires for my 2016 Impala to the 20" model and this was informative to the information I needed to know before doing so. Thanks again for the video.
Great video. Thanks for saving me money. One piece of advice, just to be safe , is to roll down the driver side window just in case you close the door. Holding down the lock/unlock button at the same time will lock all 4 doors. Don't be a dummy like I almost was. At the gas station, spare FOB was 2 miles from home😂😂😂

The government mandated TPMS sensors on all new vehicles sold here.
John Gabriella i remember that it was mostly explorers.
THANK YOU!!! These sensors are trash and I really appreciate you showing a clear quick and cheap way to deal with it!!
GM removed the TPMS and remote learn function from the DIC for 2011 and later cars. You MUST have a scan tool now. You can still create keys.
+stchman I just did a 2013 in the shop today using the key fob...

True you can activate the TPMS learn with the fob, but you cannot let some air out to tell the vehicle, you need a scan tool.
stchman interesting.. I will have to check that out. I always use the Bartech tool at the shop.
South Main Auto Repair
Yes, since I have new tires, the shop does free rotations and THEY have a scantool.
stchman thank you, I been inflating and deflating my tire on my 2013 Cruze over and over with no beep of the horn, and I had a shop check the sensor and it worked.
+john smith Yep ya still need a screwdriver... and 1000's in electronics ...
Yeah gotta love it. More gov't mandated wallet-emptying systems!
Thank you. I just discovered that the tire shop didn’t reset my TMPS system when they changed or rotated my tires.
Used the key fob and it was easy.
Thanks!
Fantastic! It works exactly as shown! Other solutions on the web failed, but this was exactly what I needed. Thank you!
Wow 🤯 holy cow man you just deserve my suscripción and 10k more 🙇♂️ because most of mechanic will never tell you even knowing it
This worked perfectly for my 2011 Tahoe. All these years I had to come back to the shop after rotation, cause they never reset and it pisses me off. Thank you for sharing!

1 of the best shops in the world! I'll never go to a Stealership! Awesome again
Who needs manuals these days. all vehicles should come with youtube pages like this one
Thank you, sir. Your instructions on this technique was super helpful! "Learn something new every day"! 😊
Thanks buddy that was a huge help and saved a lot of money I looked this up for a female friend sent her your video and done deal thanks again two thumbs up 👍👍
OMG!! This was great and informative. Instructions were so easy to follow. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks!... Saved me a lot of time from trying to decipher the owner's manual. Two thumbs up!
Thanks! Very helpful video... My 08’ Silverado doesn’t have the tire relearn in display only remote relearn. This video help me figure it out and I reset all 4 tires with my remote in 1 min!
