Your joy in discussing the reunion is obvious and infectious. Your smile in the first few minutes was mirrored by me. Thanks for doing an Easter special. Happy Easter....Happy Passover and Happy Spring everyone !!! 💐🌻🌼🌹🐣🐑🌼🌻💗
Judy, you and I are just a few months different in age. We are both now 65. Like you had said in a previous video how when you went to school the other kids would tease you with 'Good-night, John-boy', I didn't watch or appreciate the show as a 14 year old. To me it was 'hokey' and too sweet. Back then, All in the Family was changing viewers Must See tv. But as I got older, I have become more and more appreciative of this gem of a show. I watch it religiously when on tv, and will someday soon get the whole series on DVD. I have seen all the episodes several times. These days, when I watch, I am reminded of a kinder, simpler time. Not the 1930's-1940's of the show, but my own simple life back when I was just a teenager. Your show brings me comfort now. I have to admit that the stories and especially the 'good-nights' have brought me to tears. My parents both died when I was a teenager and The Waltons brings me family now. I grew up knowing of the characters and now the show gives me a sense of 'home' that I lost so long ago. So thank you, Judy, to you and all the cast. You will all forever be my special family, and I shall watch the show and movies for years to come. ~Joey
Very touching. The Waltons was always class A in every aspect. I am so grateful to everyone involved in the shows and especially to Earl Hamner. One of my kids went to "Walton" Middle School and the secretary there was a Hamner so I have always felt a connection in the real world to all of this.
It's almost a perfect bookend. To start the Waltons saga with Christmas in the Homecoming and end with Easter in this. The Waltons connection to the Lord was always so beautiful, that showing that Christ was the beginning and the end for the Walton family was absolutely perfect.
I just watched the season one easter story last night. I still laugh so hard at “Eleanor that elocutionist”. “Mary had a little lamb his fleece was black as soot, and every where that Mary went his sooty foot he put”. Omg Kami was so adorable and so was “Mary Ellen” going to her first dance and learning to dance, it was so sweet.
Thanks, Judy! I'll have to rewatch this joyous Easter episode. Wishing you and your loved ones and Walton's everywhere a blessed Passover, Holy Week, and Easter. Thanks for all your work continuing these Behind the Scenes we so appreciate! Bless you! 🧡💐🙏🕊️
I am so happy that you do these backstories in context and along with the actual show or excerpt. To have a star of the show do this is rare and most interesting. You are always and still a favorite of mine. Thank you for the memory recall and revisiting. Hug.
This is my favorite reunion special. I just loved how John boy realizes just how important the mountain is to him and Janet loves New York and she doesn’t want to leave her life in New York (now we sing the theme to green acres )lol😂😂😂 oh they argue and yell but they come to an agreement that buying the cabin would be a good compromise and they could go and come as they please. I know how thick red hair can be I can’t wear my hair long because it gives me headaches I love long hair but it can be very hot and heavy 😂 but yes Elizabeth hair is so beautiful and mine grows fast too The best point of the film is when John boy runs into Verdi and he actually yells Verdi and they hug like old friends do when they meet again after years apart. It’s so nice that this show never let you know that they were segregated Verdi is welcome every where and then we get reminded of this segregation in a few of the later shows. I love the ending where the Walton’s and Verdi’s church come together to celebrate the resurrection and new life and the love of God to save us all thank you Judy I hope you and your families have a blessed Easter
It's been a very long time since my not so red anymore hair was as long as "Elizabeth's" but I don't think mine was ever that thick but it's easily been 40 years since I've had my hair that long. Some days I wish I had never cut it and other days I wish I had never dyed it when I started losing my color now just recently I have decided to just let it go natural as far as color but it will never be long again.
@ROBBIN WOFFORD Why is it a, “good thing,” that the show never let you know that they were segregated? If the show depicts the life of the creator and segregation was a daily way of life, not just in practice but in law, and the all institutions that governed daily life, how could it be a good thing? I still love watching the Waltons. However, that oversight seem dismissive of the the people like Verdi.I’m definitely not trying to start an argument with you. Have a good day!
@@marciethompson3846 it’s ok I don’t think you understood what I was trying to say if they followed the segregation then Verdi would probably not have been accepted but everyone accepted her and her family they didn’t treat them any different from any one else and that is what I was trying to relay yes they were segregated but they never showed it unless they went out of town then the reality hit them. I just think this show showed love and compassion for everyone I’m sorry I probably should had worded it differently I apologize for offending you
@@terrybialowas2641 my is so thick that when mine is short it’s still thick when they thin mine it actually looks like they shaved me baled 😂 they say when your older it starts to fall out I’m 55 and I’m still waiting on it to start falling out 😂
Thank you. You too. I agree - I love how we touched on segregation but also looked past it as if to say “it should never have existed” and didn’t to the Waltons.
I don’t think I have ever seen this movie! I have to watch it now! Thank you, Judy, for this wonderful episode and for keeping the Waltons alive as you reminisce! Happy Easter to you and your family!
That made me smile so much, thank you. Yes we might grow older but my brain says I’m 17 - then my mirror lies to me every day 😂😂(I really must change that mirror 😂) Such an amazing trip down memory lane :) Wow you were filming when your little one was only weeks old, that’s amazing. Well done you! I did chuckle when you said about not being included in that scene 😂 I would’ve wondered why it wasn’t included as well. I always thought that Elizabeth (Kami) was beautiful, but when she comes out, all dressed up, to serve lemonade to Drew, she is absolutely stunning. I need to go and find this movie and watch it this weekend. ❤ Thank you again for this amazing channel. I hope you have a lovely Easter .
I LOVED this special, as I love everything else Waltons! I really enjoyed the addition of Aurora to this story; I was tickled to watch a "citified" person react to all the things that we took for granted during our growing up "country". She made me laugh several times, with her accent and her demeanor. I soooo loved the choir singing "Fare Thee Well" at the Easter service with Verde's congregation. I always wonder what choir that was and how the producers acquired that group to perform in this special. Thanks for sharing this with us, Judy, thoroughly enjoyable, as always!
I didn't see this one when it initially aired for whatever reason but have seen it since and did enjoy it. It was a good bookend to all the characters of The Waltons that we've grown to love.
So glad YOU’RE enjoying these, Judy. ;) :) Thanks for the surprise. You always offer a bright visit & renewing of spirit. Happy Easter to you and your family & Happy Spring & happy renewal to everyone through any tradition
Happy Easter! This was a memorable episode. I've watched this movie many times in repeats within the last few years. The ending was perfect with Jimmy weeks winning the spelling bee, glad Olivia was able to reach out to help him. The babies arriving and Easter service with Verdie, appearance by grandma. Perfect perfect ending.
Another pleasant surprise. Nice to see everyone in this reunion episode. Time moves forward even on the Waltons. Can't say much more other than these commentaries and perspectives are gold, you are doing well keeping it interesting with a few twists and turns along the way. Wishing you a Happy Easter. Why do we feel so refreshed and alive this time of year? It's cause all the plants are throwing out more oxygen into the enviorment. Mother nature is giving us the gift of oxygen therapy ! Fun fact of the day. ; )
The Easter episode brought me so much joy! I remember crying it was so nostalgic for me! I had recently had my youngest son when it aired and wanted to share it with my sons.
Episode is portraying 1969 and John and Olivia are celebrating their 40th anniversary. That would make their marriage in 1929. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't the first season set in 1933. Four years is a very short time to grow such a large family. Timelines in TV often don't make sense.
Thank you so very much for your joyous recollections of a special time. To me nothing compares to the Walton's family or anything on TV really. Classic TV. Happy Easter to you and your family.
This was great, Judy. Not sure if I saw it or not. I hope I can find it somewhere to watch. You all look so great all grown up. Looking forward to the behind the scenes disclosures. Again, Happy Easter.
Glad you enjoyed it. I believe if you get a Waltons full set of DVDs they are included. I also believe you can buy the DVD of just all the reunion movies.
Happy Easter! It's always a pleasure to see your latest vlog, Judy. I will be thinking of that other classic Waltons Easter moment early Easter morning. I am a lector at our Catholic Church and will be doing the readings at our early mass. I will be temembering how Olivia leaned on John's arm at the Easter Sunrise Service after her miraculous healing from polio. It always makes my heart swell. 🎉 to you. I feel like I'm with a dear friend when I watch your RUclips channel.

You all looked so great ! It was like the series never ended. Besides what you described here, were there any special endearing moments for you as you shot this special ?? Happy Easter Judy I can't wait to see Part 2. . xoxo
Thank you for this video. I haven't seen this episode before, will look for it. My favorite episode of the whole series is "The Easter Story" in which Olivia suffers polio and then recovers. It is beautiful. Thanks, Judy, and Happy Easter ✝️🌼
I loved that polio episode lol when Elizabeth (as Eleanor the elocutionist) recited “Mary had a little lamb her fleece was black as soot, and everywhere the lamb went her sooty foot he put”
The Waltons always found a way to make holidays memorable. I remember as a child eagerly anticipating the holiday episodes. Honestly, these episodes set the tone for many of my actual holiday experiences. The fact that this movie was a sort of farewell was quite bittersweet. In retrospect, I absolutely believe that anyone who was a faithful viewer of The Waltons would admit that they are a better person because of this series and its movie sequels.
I love your channel and commentaries. You explain and reflect beautifully on The Waltons-- the best, most beautiful TV series ever. Thank you, and Happy Easter ✝️🌼
Something I have always loved when watching the episodes is how John and Olivia always gravitate toward each other in an embrace. There is so much love demonstrated throughout this series. Probably why we all love The Walton's so much. God bless Earl Hamner for showing us how real life should be.
Judy, you are so lovely❣️. Thank you for this wonderful review. I love listening to your commentary🥰. I am a huge fan of The Waltons and so thrilled that you and the other cast members are keeping it alive for new generations!! Happy Easter to you and your family❤️
Thank you so much for doing this Judy. I could watch the Waltons every day, and most days I do!!! 😂 I love the reunion movies. You just have to ignore the inconsistencies (children coming and going, etc) and enjoy the gift of extra time with this family.
You're joy and discussing the reunion. Is obvious infectious? As I noticed a twinkle? In your eyes. And a smile on Your. Face In a few minutes as you were discussing the movie. mirrored by me enjoyed seeing all the cast members. Of course my TV Walton family, which I love so much since I was a 13 year old child with my siblings. Have a Happy Easter Judy ❤️
It was an unexpected surprise to see a Wednesday video. I enjoyed it very much. You did such a wonderful job reminding us of the different story lines weaved throughout this Waltons Easter movie. I'm looking forward to part 2. Happy Easter to you and your family. Thank you so much for sharing another fun video.
Okay, so it wasn't me having a wacky week. She did air the episode on Wednesday. Whew! I currently live abroad and we had a holiday on Wednesday and my sense of weekday is all mixed up. I thought Thursday was Friday and that Friday (today) was Tuesday.
Always enjoy your episodes so much & esp this one! I grew up watching The Walton's & watch at least part of one of the episodes, every night before bed. Thank you for all you do & please continue to do these "remembrance episodes" you're so good at it!
Hey, Judy. I still watch the re-runs of The Waltons. As a teenager when the series first started there were many good life lessons I learned. I think for those of us who didn't have an ideal family life that we all wised we could have been part of that family. Thanks for the memories. I do wish they would air some of the later reunions. They would be fun to watch again.
It's interesting seeing you describe an episode as opposed to watching it. You have a unique energy that makes the different scenes come alive. What is it that keeps you going with such energy and clear memory? The maturity of the characters shows through as you describe the scenes unfolding in this final chapter on tape. I did love the treehouse scene because we all want to retreat to that hiding place sometimes to sort things out. You "delivered" on this installment of the Walton's review.
Thankyou Judy for sharing this Easter Show with us fans.I loved it so much. This is how families should be in the now. There was alot going on.Olivia was a dedicated mom, wife grandma, and teacher and I admired Erin being a principle of the school Olivia was teaching in.What I thought was touching is there was so many grandchildren.I love the part where everyone was leaving on vacation and Johnboys wife had gone into labor.Judy you did a excellent job delivering Johnboys and wife set of boy and girl twins.Elizabeth was so sweet by inviting Drew to come visit with his girlfriend and here Drew and Elizabeth ended up going back together.I admired Olivia reaching out to her student. And here Jimmy ended up winning the spellingbee. What a loving family.
I enjoyed this …I only recently obtained the DVD’s of those movies you made after the series…I enjoyed them all. You are so right our younger self still lives inside us… I loved Lynn Hamilton on the Waltons so it was great to see her. Thanks for including this .
I always wished there would have been more Walton reunions with the original cast. I'm sure there would be more stories to tell of this wonderful family.
Happy memories of watching this with my mother who died suddenly months later. She loved watching The Waltons. Just wish it was shown nowadays in the U.K.
your channel is one of the best there is! Anyone who ever heard of the waltons, and especially anyone who ever felt uninterested in the waltons, check in here with judy, you wont be sorry!
I like that show I'd forgotten some of the show but I remember Richard being pushed in the pond. That brought back memories to me about that episode keep up the good work Judy had a really enjoyed your studio and behind the scenes look at the walls thank you.
I just watched this episode the other day. Not for the first time of course. Lol. Thank you all for bringing us this wonderful show !!! I watch the reruns daily.
I'll skip the whole somewhat whacked timeline (including Easter being after July 20,1969) but will say that it was interesting to see how cozy the Walton House was for just John and Olivia- which, in retrospect, makes it seem as though it was rather crowded when there were three generations of eleven Waltons living there! Great that Olivia brought out the shy kid from his shell despite his own father considering him dumb! Also, I liked that John threw John Boy into Druscilla's Pond to cool him down ( no doubt many Waltons viewers wished he'd done so when JB was a hotheaded teen). It wasn't nice but it DID get John Boy to think things threw. I'm glad that you all got to do the movie with almost all the original surviving cast which somewhat made up for its shortcomings. I'll avoid them except to say that I wish they'd said the NAMES of John- Boy's and Janet's twins. I was hoping for Rome Zebulon and Rebecca Esther- to honor the earlier generations!
Thanks Judy, Another great episode of The Waltons. Wish they would has done more of them. If they ever decide to do more Waltons specials they need to have the writers watch earlier episodes so they can keep the story lines straight. Take care, stay safe and GOD BLESS. HAPPY EASTER TO AND YOUR FAMILY.
I was glad you mentioned the Baldwin sisters. The scenes with them were pure gold. Helen Kleeb (Miss Mamie) and Mary Jackson (Miss Emily) were quite frail looking in this show and A Walton Easter was the last TV appearance ever for both of them. They were both true professionals and such great actors. Helen Kleeb was 89 and Mary Jackson was 85 in 1996 when this show was filmed. Kleeb died in 2003 at age 96 and Jackson in 2005 at age 95. It was so special to have them in this last special.

The Easter Story is one of my favorite episodes. Happy Easter to you too.
Thank you so much,Judy….this was PERFECT!! Happy Easter to you and your family!🐣🐥🌷🕍🛍️🎀
Thank you. Same to you.
What a nice thing to say. Thank you.
I love your channel and commentaries. You explain and reflect beautifully on The Waltons-- the best, most beautiful TV series ever. Thank you, and Happy Easter ✝️🌼
Thank you so much. Same to you.
Something I have always loved when watching the episodes is how John and Olivia always gravitate toward each other in an embrace. There is so much love demonstrated throughout this series. Probably why we all love The Walton's so much. God bless Earl Hamner for showing us how real life should be.
Thank you.
Wow fantastic Judy.Thanks!
My pleasure.
thanks judy & happy easter to you! :)
Thank you. Same to you!
Judy, you are so lovely❣️. Thank you for this wonderful review. I love listening to your commentary🥰. I am a huge fan of The Waltons and so thrilled that you and the other cast members are keeping it alive for new generations!!
Happy Easter to you and your family❤️
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for doing this Judy. I could watch the Waltons every day, and most days I do!!! 😂 I love the reunion movies. You just have to ignore the inconsistencies (children coming and going, etc) and enjoy the gift of extra time with this family.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Happy Easter.
Thank you. You too.
Have a wonderful walton easter - 🐣
Thank you. You too.
Beautiful 🌷
You're joy and discussing the reunion. Is obvious infectious? As I noticed a twinkle? In your eyes. And a smile on Your. Face In a few minutes as you were discussing the movie. mirrored by me enjoyed seeing all the cast members. Of course my TV Walton family, which I love so much since I was a 13 year old child with my siblings. Have a Happy Easter Judy ❤️
Thank you. Same to you.
Thank you. Another beautifully told narrative of The Waltons. I too had long THICK hair as Kami and I styled the same way back in the 80's.
Awesome!
I loved how Jason named his kids after country music stars
Cute bit.
I’m love watching your videos
Thank you so much.
Thank you. Same to you. lol - it was meant to be Thursday, but I erred on the scheduling :)
Okay, so it wasn't me having a wacky week. She did air the episode on Wednesday. Whew! I currently live abroad and we had a holiday on Wednesday and my sense of weekday is all mixed up. I thought Thursday was Friday and that Friday (today) was Tuesday.
Judy, thank you for this upload. I know, it takes a lot of work. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much.
Happy resurrection day Judy North Walton
Always enjoy your episodes so much & esp this one! I grew up watching The Walton's & watch at least part of one of the episodes, every night before bed. Thank you for all you do & please continue to do these "remembrance episodes" you're so good at it!

Beautiful story.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Excellent job Judy this was awesome vlog its much appreciated Cheers! Luv&Peace friend.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for continuing to watch.
That was great, Judy, 😊as usual!!! Looking forward to the next segment. Have a great Easter holiday!!!
Thank you! You too!
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kind remarks.
Happy Easter Judy and your family
Thank you. Same to you.
Thank you I have extremely poor vision and you bring it all alive. I can’t thank you enough.
Thank you - I’m so touched to hear that.
So glad you enjoyed this one.
thank you Judy Happy Easter. love your necklace.
Thank you. Same to you.

I totally agree! Would have been fun.
Happy memories of watching this with my mother who died suddenly months later. She loved watching The Waltons. Just wish it was shown nowadays in the U.K.
So sorry about your mother. Glad you were able to share the show together.

I just watched this episode the other day. Not for the first time of course. Lol. Thank you all for bringing us this wonderful show !!! I watch the reruns daily.
Glad you enjoyed it
I'll skip the whole somewhat whacked timeline (including Easter being after July 20,1969) but will say that it was interesting to see how cozy the Walton House was for just John and Olivia- which, in retrospect, makes it seem as though it was rather crowded when there were three generations of eleven Waltons living there!
Thanks for your kind comments. I’m glad you overlooked the oddities :)
Thanks Judy,
Another great episode of The Waltons. Wish they would has done more of them. If they ever decide to do more Waltons specials they need to have the writers watch earlier episodes so they can keep the story lines straight. Take care, stay safe and GOD BLESS.
HAPPY EASTER TO AND YOUR FAMILY.
Lots to keep track of for sure :)
Thanks for the Easter edition. I hope you and your family have very blessed Easter Sunday. Take care and God bless.
Thank you so much. Same to you.
