It's remarkable how many of the original cast members returned for this reunion. So rare in the industry, but a testament to the family atmosphere the cast members felt by being part of this very special community. Happy Thanksgiving, Judy, and everyone!
Hi Shyman! Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you and yours! Your contribution/comments to Judy's Channel since its inception are just crazy wonderful! 🤩🤩❤🧡💛
@@LisaLisa-2023 - Hi LisaLisa! Thanks so much for the wonderful comment. Just returned from a family gathering and what a special treat to read your message upon my return. My best to you and your family as well.
@@shyman99 Hi Shyman, I never post what I don't mean sincerely 😁 Youre very welcome. And please keep posting away! I will always be back to read yours 😉👍 🎄
Yes full reunions are rare. Not necessarily because of bad feelings, thankfully. They went on with their lives andscheduling doesn't always co-operate for full reunions. That is probably why Richard Thomas was not there.
That's what made the Waltons so great. It's real life situations that many people can relate too. Love the Walton reunions. I was disappointed when the show ended; but the reunions kept the audience up to date on the Walton family. Just a wonderful show. Thank God for reruns!! Happy Thanksgiving Judy!!
It was a great reunion movie. Glad to see the entire cast back for it. It was good to see that some things stayed the same and that some things did change, as it should have. We saw all the things we were expected to see, with some improvements. Made more believable. It was great that this special was happening n Thanksgiving as it is the time when we all gather as a family. Happy Thanksgiving. 🙂
This was a lovely reunion movie. Nice some of the original writers and director returned. And of course all the original cast members reprising their roles was excellent. All the guys and gals had great hairdos so props to hair and makeup. They indeed did a good job reconstructing the original house! I’m sure Waltons fans would love a new reunion movie if it is at all possible. It could take place in the 1990’s…
Unfortunately I think the opportunity to have a new reunion passed. Earl Hamner is gone, Ralph Waite is gone, and the CW already tried a new reboot that didn't take off.
I was in the 7th grade when President Kennedy was assassinated. (Yes, I’m old). I was in 5th period Math class when the principal came on the intercom and made the sad announcement. It’s one of those major events in life that you remember exactly where you were. I love this reunion movie. Even with the timeline inconsistencies, missing children, etc, it’s always good to see the Walton family together once again. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. 🍁🦃🍂
This was a blessing to watch, Judy. A nice touch for my Thanksgiving Day. I never saw the reunion specials. This would have been a great one to have seen. It was so nice to see all of you looking so grownup. Not as grownup as you all are now but very close to it. The Walton’s was the one TV family I always wanted to be part of. It seemed so real. There was lots of love mixed with corrections in behavior leaving me with a nice warm feeling which I did not always feel with other relatives. Thank you so much for still doing these, Judy. It means a lot.
Each year I watch "The Thanksgiving Story" with much love. I absolutely love every epidote of this awesome series so much that I purchased it along with all of the movies. I watched "The Awakening" episode in Season 2 and wanted to share with you my perception of the lake scene. To help you remember, you are walking in the water along the edge of the lake when a young man comes along and visits with you. He kisses you. You are standing in the water with the sun behind your back. Judy, you looked so beautiful standing there with the sun shimmering on the water. Your face looked so beautiful and innocent. You looked so soft. Simply beautiful Judy. Thank you. Love your videos.
❤❤❤❤❤❤A very Blessed Thanksgiving to you Judy your family Waltons family and all here and please 🙏 I’m hoping for another reunion, your wonderful Judy and the family cast!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy Thanksgiving, Judy! And all of the cast of one of my favorite family-values TV shows. As I have said before, I grew up in a large family of 13. We never got too attached to any particular house or farm because we rented those farms, located in Southeastern Ohio, Washington County. We moved regularly and didn't start buying a house until around 1974. Sadly, we had to leave that house too, because the land started slipping away and we woke up one Sunday morning to find a boulder as big as car, sitting in the front yard. And our garden spot was covered in about 4 feet of mud. So that is when we moved just across the Ohio River, to St. Marys, West Virgina. A little town of about 2,800 people. After my father passed away in 1985, my mother moved into an apartment building up the street from the house. That is when my wife and I decided to buy the family home from my mother. That was April, 1987, and I am still living here. My wife passed away from lung cancer and our son is now a journalist, living in Charleston, WV. That leaves me here, alone in a 3 bedroom house. I served 6 years in the Marine Corps, worked as a 9-1-1 Dispatcher for 23 years and then worked inside a medium-security state prison for 4 years. So.....I've lived quite a diverse life and I also build high-end desktop computers as a hobby. I am also a Christian music recording artist and drummer. It's been quite a ride.
Judy, I remember seeing that special all too well. I could not believe how much I had missed Richard in that role. He just brought the entire movie to life. He really made that role his own. Love your channel. Keep up the amazing work!
Thanks Judy for all of the great memories from the Waltons. It’s nice to have you explain the shows from your point of view. I hope that you and your family have a great Thanksgiving.
Wow, thank you Judy for doing this. I remember watching the Waltons growing up. No one on our block ever missed an episode and then walking to school the next day we would discuss it. Happy Thanksgiving Judy.
Hi Judy, Thank you for this wonderful video. Its main plot focuses on President Kennedy's assassination, which reminds me of two things: 1 My parents's wedding anniversary and 2 my sad loss and death of my husband. At least the anniversary was a happy day. Yes, we all have a lot to appreciate this year, and for me, that includes the cast, crew, and their families for a series called The Waltons.
Hi Judy, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. So many things happening on this Thanksgiving reunion. It's absolutely wonderful! Thanks for sharing Judy!
As to John Curtis and Charlie? By '63 they would both have been in their 20s I think. I always just figured they had moved off somewhere as kids do sometimes and were out there living their lives. A mention as to what they were up to would have been nice though. MY biggest question was always "What happened to the new mill??" John and Ben seem to be back using the old setup attached to the barn. 🤔
@@krill173 Hi the show judy talked about here there was another one a day of thanks on Walton's mountain just the dad was on there cause the mom was still recovering i liked the one where john boys wife had twins.
Good points. I figured John Curtis was away at college - but seemed easy to have some line that he had other plans for Thanksgiving. As for the new mill - I guess when they had to rebuild the house after the back lot fire they didn’t rebuild the new mill.
I have not yet watched this episode yet, but it is on my bucket list as well as the post-series specials ..wow look at Elizabeth all grown up ! Happy Thanksgiving Judy and all the viewers here !!.❤
Hello and Happy Thanksgiving, Judy blessings to you and your family and friends. Thank you for sharing this reunion, I enjoyed listening to you on this show. I've always loved this family show. There's nothing like it today, and I miss that. Take care and enjoy your family time.
The writers did a good job bringing back all of the characters & weaving storylines for everyone. An enjoyable reunion movie for sure. Thanks for sharing!
@@barbarabavier675 A minor point really, but I always settled on JB being born in 1917, which would have made him 16 in 1933 (and still in high school) at the beginning of the show. I was irritated by the “Peter Pan” age magic in this show and others. I know it is just a story, but It ruins the continuity. A producer saying that the fans won’t remember (as in Charlie) seems a bit dismissive of true fans and also an excuse for lazy writing. Of course I watched it anyway, but it was annoying.
Happy Thanksgiving, Judy. I still watch the Waltons every night while snuggled in my bed. I just keep watching the episodes repeatedly. Just love the show.❤️

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! And ,firstly,I would like to thank you,Judy, for being so dedicated to your fans, and your fantastic channel. Now,I say fans, but I actually mean the Walton's family fans, and this sets the Waltons apart from other classic shows. The fan club is actually a family club, which seems to be getting stronger with the years, and this is a testament to the incredible vision created by Earl Hamner back in 1971,the hard work and talent of a group of perfectly synchronized actors and an intelligent team of directors, writers, producers, and other crew members. The fact that you give of your time, today,Judy to create this comprehensive and lovely segment for us,the Waltons family fans,is why we continue to love the Waltons and appreciate the positive influence it has had,and for that we are thankful!!

Nights were in the 40's but days in the 60's until today. Usually, cold hits about October15 with rain, usually on high school Homecoming so the girls hair and formals get drenched, and they are all in a pissy mood for the Homecoming dance. Boy I don't miss those days, carrying a girl across the lawn and or driveway, with her in a raincoat, her hair in aa plastic rain hat, and carrying her shoes. Horrible memories.
The best part of the reunion movie was Richard Thomas coming back as our “John Boy”! It really is like being a part of the family for most of us who grew up watching the Walton’s.
Thank you so much.
Happy Thanksgiving, Judy, and all! 🧡🦃🍁🍂🧡
Thank you.
I'd bet most of the people were there to see you, Judy.
Sweet of you to say.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving ! We are going to the farm in about an hour for supper. Hope you got a laugh out of my Thanksgiving story. I'll write again soon as always. BTW when I count my blessing this Thanksgiving , i count you twice Judy.
Bill Bill Bill!! How are you and Nancy and the whole Grandone gang? Hope you are having a fantastic time at the Farm with Everyone. Just stopping by to say Hi to the oldies and everyone this Thanksgiving weekend.

@@LisaLisa-2023Hello Lisa, haven't heard from you for a while. I wrote the Turkey Day story . Did you read it.? Nancy and I are fine. Though I nearly died in July from a collapsed lung; But the hospital did some extra surgery that really helped my COPD and I am not using a wheelchair or oxygen.
@@billgrandone3552 WOW Congratulations Bill! That is great Grandone news! I do recall the collapsed lung back in the summer but I don't remember the extra surgery that has emancipated you from the Wheelchair and O2, that is such good news right?! right! 😀What Turkey Story, can you please tell me which segment you posted that on? I have not been online as much as before, but I will always come home to Judy's place to see you all. Youre one of the good ones. Many Blessings to you and to Nancy! And yay!! to health conditions improved and sustained! 😇😇
@@LisaLisa-2023 Lisa, It's at Ask Judy 102. Hope you enjoy the story. It is about my Grandmother Grandone and I swear that this story is absolutely true!
@@LisaLisa-2023 How are you doing the Big Apple? We have our first snow of the season here. It was 68 degrees last Saturday but 27 now. Typical November but the cold did not come until today.
I liked I believe the Christmas special. Where John Curtis says that’s his friend a picture of grandpa. It was a moving scene.❤
That was in the Thanksgiving movie from 1982 (Hallmark was running it last night).
Yes - that was a sweet story.
I remember when it came on CBS We watched all three reunion movies thank you Judy
Me too I used to watched it when it came on
Thank you!
@ your welcome from my brother Bryan and me
The best part of the reunion movie was Richard Thomas coming back as our “John Boy”! It really is like being a part of the family for most of us who grew up watching the Walton’s. I think we considered you “ours”because we had connected with all of you through the many episodes. We were invested! Thank you for this warm reminder of a simpler time. Mary
I know that means a lot to all of us.
