For me, the most moving of the romances leading to marriage was between Paul (Morgan Stevens, the late) and Erin. Erin was radiant wearing her mother's beautifully-laced wedding dress ( her actual mother's), and her tears when given away by John. Well, that was a special moment in the whole series.

When Corabeth fell in love with humble Mr Godsey, the show was more eclectic and exciting. Hi Judy, the romance between John Boy and Jenny was very moving as it was very believable. This was one of many romances on the show that depicted how broken-hearted young romances can feel. Richard Thomas/John Boy's distraught Jenny had to leave him to heal herself after the death of her beloved Father. I remember feeling such sadness when she gave John Boy a gift - a musical instrument - a flute? the day she left abruptly. You covered so many interesting relationships that each character experienced, and the one that stood out for me about your romances was the one with Jonesy, especially how both of you had to cope with the news that Mary Ellen could not have any more children in the future. There was incredible chemistry between the two of you- which made the romantic story that much more believable. Superb acting. :D

This video made me smile, Judy! All the stories were fun. I didn't care too much for the storyline when John, Sr. was tempted by others. The saving grace was the choice for fidelity: a real old-fashioned value! I think GW and Erin's story was the most heartbreaking. I think Ben and Cindy were the most joyful! Most fans seem to like Jenny but Daisy was my fav as she was quite down to earth.
    I loved Toni!
David was a fav of mine but Kurt was outspoken just like Mary Ellen.
    Ben was best with Cindy.
Erin and Ashley would never have worked out sadly. Just my thoughts.
I did not like Cathy for Jim Bob!
Elizabeth needed someone new I felt.

A tour de force, Judy! The other long-term relationship on the show that probably deserves a mention is Ike & Corabeth--quite a departure from the other marriages! Now if we were to put all of this terrific info into a spreadsheet and laid it out season by season, we'd *really* have something! And if we looked at John Boy's activities in that way, it probably reveals the real reason why Richard had to leave after Season Five--he was just plain tuckered out! :-)

Wonderfully done, Judy!! Inasmuch as I liked the Curt character, I didn't like that they "brought him back from the dead." Bad idea. Jonesy and the Bob Woods character were great, though. Erin also dated the new preacher but just stayed friends. He was the best one, yet I feel killing off GW was a big mistake. Funny that Mary says all that Erin did was kiss and cry! (and a tattletale as a child!) Poor Erin. Thanks for this Valentine edition, Judy.

I hope its ok to say this, but i think Ralph as john walton is the sexiest role ive ever seen! And at my age now, when i watch every day, i kid my son that he needs to bring me Miss Emily's smelling salts whenever Ralph is on screen😂 Gorgeous man, inside and out, no wonder Olivia always had that MonaLisa smile on her beautiful face❤️

I thought those were fantastic relationships onscreen, and the chemistry between all of you actors was very palpable. But Jonesy turned out great for Mary Ellen, I’ll admit that.
