Features:
The infinity mirror integration to the SL INFINITY 120 creates a light effect that does not
compromise on brightness, creates a definite separation between the light layers, and adds an infinity RGB depth to the UNI FANs.
The circular-shaped infinity mirror at the center of the fan is visible and tuned to have multiple layers spacing 0.5mm between each, creating a clear multi-layer effect from any visible angle.
Inspired by the original UNI FAN SL, aluminum trims surround the side infinity mirrors that are located on both visible edges of the fan frame.
Each UNI FAN SL INFINITY 120 features a total of 40 fully addressable LEDs for maximum
brightness, the best infinity mirror look, and complete light effect customization.
Other highlights include the ability to change the direction of the fan cable so you can make it face the way you want. This makes cable tidying easy. You can also remove the interlocking mechanism to tidy things up in the case a bit more. Which helps!

best video ever. it took me 4-5 tries to find someone just hooking them up. everyone else's videos looked like Lian LI promotional videos and I just wanted to see how to properly hook them up. thank you for your service 💓
Thanks Gary. Glad to help, hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Same boat! This helped a lot since the 3 groups of 3 with a single in the rear was exactly the setup I’m looking at. Only question is if I get a single pack for the rear will that still connect to the controller or no?
omg same i could either only get the rgb to work or just the fans to spin not both it was frustrating
@@TheProvokedPrawn I’m confused, do I gotta connect the 3 pin 5v rgb header AND the usb to the motherboard or can I only have the 5v 3 pin connected?
@@TheRockford22 yes but using one of the (4) cable that comes with the 3 pack.
I cannot describe how grateful I am to find this video and being able to enjoy this channel... Insanely helpful that you actually walked through each part of the fan package and how to set them up.
Glad to found it helpful. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Thank you for the very thorough video. I have made my own custom cables for the fans which involed new wires and soldering to the fan header connections. I tested my system but the fans were not spinning. In half panic that I have done something wrong and potentially fried my fans, I searched the internet if anyone else experienced this phenomenon. Your video came up and was able to answer my question and I could continue with the build.
Nice instructional btw, and probably will come in handy for many!
Fantastic! Glad to hear it. Hope you appreciated enough to sub.
Dude thank you for this. Was going crazy trying to find more connections on my motherboard as the 2 were already full. Life saver for a newb on his first build!
Thanx for taking the difficulty out of this install for beginners like myself. I have a lian li 2 case so i was thinking of new fans and lian li make the connectability very easy. Great vid mate, keep it up!

Awesome videos bro! Just finished my build, your lian li uni fans guides carried me through :D thanks again and keep up the good work, you are helping a lot of people
Glad to help Silvio
@@TheProvokedPrawnHey, great video , but can I connect 3 × triple pack fans = 9 fans if I only have 1 argb headers on my motherboard. PLEASE REPLY
Yes you can, you can do up to 4 sets of 4 (16 fans) total on just 1 of the controller boxes and that controller box only needs 1 usb header (MB), 1 fan header (MB) 1 rgb header (MB) and 2 sata cables (power supply)@user-vo2wc4qk5b

just built my first pc and was worried I did something wrong installing these fans but when I got to the part where you said Dont worry, install L Connect and the fans will spin, what a relief 😂 just downloading Windows now and getting ready to stick it in the new pc. thanks for the video, def the most accurate video on how to install these fans. You got my sub!!! And not trying to be weird, but your voice is extremely soothing 😂😂😂 I felt very relaxed watching this vid. thanks again bro🦾😎👍
Happy to help!
The RGB lighting only works after you boot into Windows and then download the L-Connect software?
I cannot explain in words how happy and grateful I am, thank you so much for explaining this.

I got 12 fans in my case 😂 my wallet about to really hurt with these fans but thank you so much for being the only one to actually answer my question about the control and the amount i can plug into it
Can you help me i don't undersrand how to control the fans using l connect software and not using motherboard software

Thank you so much for this video. I've been trying to do more research on these fans before I decided to buy them. You were the only one bothered to do this

Time to pull my case apart and redo EVERYTHING. I think I need this Lian Li controller
I recently got the V2 uni fans and the Galahad aio 360 and I love them. Your video was a big help.
Glad to help!
How many uni fans did you end up putting in?
At this point, with all the reviews and tutorials, I might master how to setup the fans even though I don't have a single pack. Still waiting to be available in my country. Great vid though!
Hope you get them soon!
I love how the provoked prawn has very similar taste in pc parts to me, it has made finding good reviews over the past year or two so easy, especially with his reviews actually seeming like a review and not just a sponsored product that he has to talk about, and i just subbed because of how much I enjoy his videos
Thanks Tyler. Very kind.
Ofc, also would you happen to know how well these work with signal rgb? They supposedly work with lian li l-connect but I'm not sure how well it works@@TheProvokedPrawn

can you use a y-splitter to connect a single fan to a row of 3 so back extract & the 3 fans on the top of the case & then connect it to the control box in the back ???
worth noting, that you get the thick connector (from the triple box) 3 times total. so if you have a 3x3 + 1 setup you will be missing 1 cable for the single fan. so if you play on doing more than 3 groups, buy 2 triple boxes
they give 4 cables, not 3 :)
Bought two 3-packs and they came with splitters for the controller-to-fan plugs. Which means you can connect two sets of two into one of the controller plugs. Crazy how much thought they put into this product. Hands down the easiest fans to work with.
Yeah, I just bought 7(2 packs + single) and I m very impress with what came in the boxes, more cables then I will ever need. Thinking of buying another 3 pack and replacing my Galahad fans too now.
Does that mean you can have 5 sets of fans plugged into 1 controller? (with 2 sets of the fan using the splitter and only occupying 1 slot on the controller) Thanks!
Beware the power limits there are reports of burned splitters because of overloading it.
@@twinstars8812 i think the maximum amount of fans is 16. however , if running that many fans on one controller , I would plug in the second SATA cable for sure .
Did you buy the SL Infinity version? Or SL V2? For my infinity fans i don’t see a splitter cable …
just saying: very thoughtful of lian li to create daisy chained fans because their cases need a lot of fans
Thanks for the Video. Was easy to understand and helped me out alot!
Glad to help you out 👍
very well explained my friend ty so much. I don't need 1/2 the stuff I thought I needed. just the fans 🙂
Glad it helped
Thank you for explaining the rgb to mobo plugs
No problem 👍
Brilliant video thank you! Excited to try and set mine up now

sh*t dude... your voice is made for audio books! pure gold!
Thanks. Hopefully people like it for RUclips too
The only disappointing thing about the 3 pack, was the manual, had to scrape up the info here and there to find out the controller's capabilities.
Wish I would of found this video an hour ago ;)
Fantastic video, keep up the good work. Liked and subscribed
Thanks a lot!
This helped a ton I was testing the fans on a makeshift rig out of old parts and was wondering why they weren’t spinning when I turned it on.

Thank you for the great video. Regards the controller in theory if you have OL11 Dynamic XL, same 10x SL Infinity 120 arrangement as your video (3xfan group side, bottom, Galahad 360 top and single rear) both 24 & (3x8 gpu) strimer V2 cables. How do you connect the fans, strimers & Cooler controllers or would one of these triple fan pack controllers manage to link & control everything? Would it be the Galahad in sync 1 and the strimer controller in sync 2? Thanks again
Mate that mini pocket knife is the cutest knife I've seen lol
It's a Wish special 😂
Bro. Bro. SO useful man! Great video!! It helped me out a TON :)

The very first and educative video ever. In this case where did you connect the Galahad AIO Led? Big thumbs up for your work.
The Galahad was already installed to be honest (from when I did that video), so I didn't mess with the wiring or use the new control box as I probably could have.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I asked because I have 9 UniFans connected with one controller(with non space left) and I don't know how to connect the Galahad Led connector. Can you help me with?
@@musicsthearts7648 connect it to the RGB header on your motherboard?
The thing the AIO LED cable is made to be insert into the controller box. But there's no space left since the fans with rgb are connected in all 4 modules of the controller.
Great guide!
Does the triple pack of fans come with multiple of the 2in1 power and RGB connections? (the flat connector that connects to the box)
So for the 10 fan setup demo'd in the video, I would be able to buy a single triple pack, and 7 single fans, and have all I need to connect them all?
Thanks!
hey, great video. Quick question. How many of this connection cables do you get with this? Enough to connect these 4 groups of fans?
Thanks for the video. This is super helpful. Quick question, if I replace an GPU AIO fan with these Liam li fans, where would I connect the fan control? I know just like cpu aio I can connect into the sync slot for rgb control.
I’m setting these up in my new case tomorrow, thanks for the great video. Subbed
Helpful video! And believe it or not i did connect them wrong 😅
Hey! Thank for the video, as I see you are using ROG STRIX motherboard in the last part, so the LL hub will let you control these fans in the Armory Crate and will detect as separate chassis fans (groups) ? At the moment I have AL model of fans, and I had them plugged to the PWM motherboard header directly, as the motherboard could not detect them in the bios.
Thank you for this. I have 3 sets of fans like in this video, except my AIO cooler is the Galahad II LCD. I have the case fans on the SL controller, the AIO & it’s 3 fans on the AIO controller but the rgbs aren’t syncing with the other fans. In the L connect app it’s on its own and have to configure it separately from the case fans. Anyway to sync them all together?
Thank you so much for this tutorial!
You're welcome. Subscribe to show the love.
Damn nice fans! I'll be buying them
That was an extremely helpful video
Glad it was helpful!
That knife.. is adorable.
No one is getting shanked by it. That's for sure.
Very informative video thank you, question, if I only wish to use the fans through L Connect and not the motherboard, do I still need to connect the ARGB cable? Or can I just connect the two cables that come with the fan into the hub? Thanks.
If you're just using L Connect then you just need to connect the power and USB connections.
How do you synchronize the RGB of one Infinity fan (connected to CPU fan header) to 3 other groups connected to the L controller? I am thinking of using one Infinity fan connected to the CPU fan header and 4 other Infinity fans connected to the controller (connected to the system fan header). But what do you do with the RGB connector of the CPU fan to sync with the fans connected to the controller?
Okay, the best part of this whole video was when you randomly whipped out a miniature folding knife to open the fan box!!
Hopefully the rest of it was good too
@@TheProvokedPrawn I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks for the video Prawn! I have 2 groups of 4 and after I downloaded L connect 3 the top fan in both strings quit lightning up, the fans still work and I can change the speed, but no RGB and just in the one fan on each..?
Can these be used in a way, that one is exhaust and two are intakes?
🙂 neat, thx for explaining the wiring
Wonderful explanation. Thanks !

Hi. Where are the SYNC effects gone in I-Connect 3? I mean the Meteor Sync or Runaway Sync. Heaving one color startin from the upper left corner and ending on the left bottom corner, and back?
Hey there! Thanks for the vid Iit will definitely help me a lot when I eventually build my pc. My question is is it possible to connect 9 fans like 3 3pack with 3 fans as an aio, 3 (connected together) as intake and the last 3 is separated into 1-2 fans. Is that possible to power since I will have 1 120 size fan space on the rear and 2 120 in the bottom. Is that possible? Case is hyte y60 researched how mount 3 fans on the side so there will be 3 on the side 3 on top with radiator(aio) and 2 in the basement 1 in rear
Does the single fan connect to the controller as well? You showed it had a PWM/ARGB connector and those dont go into the control box you showed. Im hoping the single fan comes with some kind of adapter to let you route a single and groups into one controller.
if you just use the sys fan headers and not the RGB ones, will the fans still function as normal, just without the RGB?
I have a corsair H150i elite, that came with a controller, my question is, if I use the SL Infinity fans, 9 x120 & 4 x 140, will I have to use the Lian li controller and what controller will I used for the AIO? Please advise
Great vid, very informative. Hoping you or someone else can answer this: if I had the controller hub and wanted to forgo using L-Connect by connecting the PWM and RGB cables to separate controllers instead (in my case, an Aquacomputer Octo and Farbwerk), how exactly does control work for the fans? Would the controllers detect all the fans connected to the hub as one fan and thus mirror settings across all fans? Or will all the fans be recognized individually, allowing for individual speed and RGB control?
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you appreciated enough to subscribe 🦐
Hey mate with lian li infinity fans if so tryna figure out if it would be compatible with the king 95 pro case in this configuration the 4 front fans would be 140mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the bottom 3 fans would be 120mm reverse blade fans (so intake) the top 3 120mm fans on the aio would be exhaust then the one on the back of the case is a exhaust curious if they could use the built in fan hub on the case or all would work with the included lian li fan hub in the 3 pack thanks heaps for letting me know
I have the Air Mini case as well! Trying to setup it up exactly as yours. So it's 5 sets of fans with 2 controllers. All fans are going to the controllers, and controllers to motherboard right? Is it possible to have all 5 sets of fan plugged into 1 controller (using a splitter for 2 of those sets), on Lian Li's manual it seems doable, have you tried? Thanks!!
If I connect all the fans to the controller. Can I use other software to control the fans like Argus monitor or Fan Control. Or do I have to use L connect to control the fan speeds. I would really like to use Argus monitor, thanks!
Best guide and explanation ever
Glad you think so! Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Sure thing, I just realized I didn't but when I came back to vid cuz i wanted to ask u, i have galahad 2 trinity radiator and UNI SL fan and TL LCD fan, the question is can i use the controller of the uni sl fans with the tl lcd ?
thanks this video was super useful, im trying to get my hands on 9 120s, and 3 140s, but its like the 140s dont exist i cant find then anywhere
If my cpu cooler non-lian li has a argb wire where would i plug it in this case? Because if i use the controller it wont have a argb head it will have the other head with many pins
Hey, great video , but can I connect 3 × triple pack fans = 9 fans if I only have 1 argb headers on my motherboard. PLEASE REPLY
I just purchased the galahad lcd radiator and i have two triple packs. Is this gonna work or do i need singles?
I just commented on the other video about the different contrillers
So i can use the triple pack controller with the lcd aio ?
do all of those fans have that flathead that plugs into the controller? also if i get 3 for my aio, should i plug those into my motherboard or the controller?
Im trying to hook up my fans but i found that i don't have enough SATA power connectors to connect the control box along with my lian li v1 strimmers to the power as well. Do i need to purchase a SATA splitter to have enough imputs for power?
But can I plug the fans together, then plug the single wire into an ARGB hub and gain the same level of control? Or do I need to separate each fan and wire them to the hub individually?
Hi! i love ur videos, ur voice is so calm. can u add like timestamps in the description? that would be very helpful

Thanks for the informative vid! I own a Galahad Aio (non Uni fan version ) and want to change the fans that come with it for 3 SL120 infinity fans .
How do I connect those 3 fans on the cooler to the Uni Hub? Via one of the 4 fan ports? Or the sync port ?
they daisy chain so you would have one connector into one of the four fan ports. I just did this myself (make sure the fans are oriented the right way to blow air out of the case haha)
Hey mate, awesome video, really helpful!
Is it possible to use the controller without the Micro USB cable? I have all fans plugged in, 3 groups of 3, one solo for exhaust, into the controller ports, the PWM and ARGB connectors plugged into my board, and ignored the Micro USB cable because I didn't want to use LConnect. However, when I turned on my system, no RGB came through for the fans, but they were all spinning. Is that the reason why, not using the Micro USB? Thanks in advance!!
Just curious with the single pack connector can you hook that up to the control box as well?
Just got the salad 2 about and a set of three fans. Is there an adapter to connect one set of three fans to another set of three fans so I would only then have one set of wires to connect to a controller or mb
I have the Lancool 216.
Will I need the extra ARGB cable kit to connect the front 160mm fans to the controller l box for RGB control?
Do I need to plug in the fan 4 pin in order for fan to work or just the 3.0 usb. I can get one or the other to work but not both. I have the INF fans. I have the control box but do need to plug in the 4 pin that’s what I want to know. I have the flat fan plug. Nevermind I figured it out.
So if I need 10fans in total, do I just get 1 triple pack and 7 single fans? Does the triple pack come with more than 1 of those argb/fan cable?
Can you buy the 3 pack and use 1 of the fans separate from the other 2? Because I'm ordering 4 for the front of my corsair 7000x, 4 for the side, 1 for the back, and 3 for my Kraken Z73 AIO. So I'm ordering 4 packs of 3. Wondering if I should do 3 packs of 3, and 3 single packs. Or if it will work with 4 packs of 3
How did you get them to sync with the cpu cooler without them being plugged directly to the cooler ?
So you don’t need the 3 pin or the Sys fan connector? All you need is to plug it in the hub?
Ty, now I know how to setup my 9x fans yyo my 011 d EVO Chassie 😍
I aim to please. Hope you enjoyed enough to sub.
Can I use a splitter for the 9 pin usb? Motherboard only has 2 usb connections. What would be the solution? Need 3 usb connections, one for the SL fan controller, one for the TL LCD fan controller and one for my cpu air cooler with an lcd/digital readout.
Are you able to control the RGB of the sides and the blades individually when connecting to the motherboard? if I wanted to turn off the blade lights without turning off the side lights, for example.
no, you need lianli controller and l-connect software for that.
I attach lianlin infinity to the AIO. do i need to connect the fan to the respective header or i can just connect to the lian li controller hub and cool my cpu with the l connect 3
I just wonder mate, I just bought a 3 pack. I want to chance the fans on my Aioradiator.. Dont i connect something into the CPU_FAN or just connect them also to the consol?
Can the control box be plugged into a usb 1.1 or dose it have to be a 2.0?
Thanks a lot for this. This is one of the best tutorials I've come across. I have one tiny question. I went out yesterday and the infinity fans and did this setup you have here. Installed the fans and only one set of 3 light up and spin, all the others do not do anything. I tried switching the port on the controller but only the same 3 working. Any ideas what could be happening?

So I have 4 different cables from 8 sl inf 120 fans, 2 individual fans and 2 sets of 3 fans daisy chained (one of which are the 3 fans for the radiator). I am also using the Galahad ii sl inf 360 aio. Can you please explain how I can connect all the cables to the L connect 3 controller to sync the rgb of the fans and the pump.
excellent video but in my uni fans lian li sl-inf 120 3 pack i dont have spliter cable only single cable coming ouut of the fans and should go only to the controler. Im trying to use with ryuujin 2 360 but fans must go only to lian li controler
If I buy a pack of 3, can I have a group of 2 and a single one in different places?
Does the 3 pack come with the necessary cables for this?
I had to order 9x single fans instead of 3 packs due to shipping constraints. How can I solve the issue of not having the controller specific cables now?
I'm thinking about ordering the controller separately, but from your video I realized I need a different connector on the fans from the ones that are supplied by the single units (which ends in 1 argb + 1 pwm outputs)
