Is it possible to connect the Strimer Plus V2 into the controller box that comes with the Galahad 2 Trinity SL-INF aio? Or would I need the seperate controller?
So I have an Asus RTX 4070 and it only has a single 8 pin connector. Is there a Lian Li strimmer that is compatible with it? I have not been able to find one so far.
Yes they make 2 versions. I have the double pin one on my 3070 and my friend has the single on his 3060. They make 4 of these strips. 3 for gpu's and one for motherboards
I went with the 16-12PV2 to the GPU's included cable that has 4 power connectors. I was wary about using only 3 power connections on this 4090. While the cables fit in either of the hubs ports, and the 24 pin worked in both slots, i learned that the single end spot is for the 24 in mobo connector and The side with 2 inputs and a toggle switch is for the gpu strimer. I just ran into and issue where 1/5 of my gpu strimer lights were not working,. Lian Li support told me about this. As soon as i switched them to their intended spots, all lights worked. Another video on installing these cables also did not mention plugging in the small RBG connection cable, and also said you only had to use the Micro USB cable it comes with. It wasn't an "alternative option" and proved wrong- for my set up at least. The lian li controller software did not recognize the hub and its connected strimers until i plugged in the tiny RGB header plug. The RBG connector is the only way i was able to utilize the lian li software and set up my lighting settings. with out it, you just get default rainbow settings. And with out the micro USB I got no lights at all. 4:24 I'm wondering, if you can find a strimer attachment to use with existing cables. I have a white build so they are perfect out of box for me (save the white clip swap outs) but my fiance has a black and red build with nice black and red cable mods. He just wants the light strip and not extra cables. hmm i've been searching with out results.
Love your videos i subbed. Do i need a liam li module for each of the cables. One box for gpu and a bix for motherboard connector?. For the gpu im using a liam li 3 plug connector.
I built my first pc but the lian li strimmer v2 cables wont luminate, I'm not sure what i did wrong. When i also use it on my gpu the computer wont post and the lights on the moderboard is orange on the VGA section. When i remove the lian li strimmer cables the computer boots fine.
Sounds like you've not plugged it fully in to the PSU cables. As for the lighting, have you connected all the cables as shown? It might be the switch on the control box is in the wrong place
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks, i will put them back in and try again when i get home at 5am. But my board also have the 3 pin connector you mentioned. But does it matter which ones i plug it in? i recalled seeing 2 of them. one at the top and one at the bottom.

Is it possible to connect the Strimer Plus V2 into the controller box that comes with the Galahad 2 Trinity SL-INF aio? Or would I need the seperate controller?
If I have the LCD Gallahad, Strimer V2 and Uni Fans, do I need all three controller boxes?
So I have an Asus RTX 4070 and it only has a single 8 pin connector. Is there a Lian Li strimmer that is compatible with it? I have not been able to find one so far.
Yes they make 2 versions. I have the double pin one on my 3070 and my friend has the single on his 3060. They make 4 of these strips. 3 for gpu's and one for motherboards
How you get both in a combo ?
I'm wondering, if you can find a strimer attachment to use with existing cables.
No the box does both the GPU and motherboard cables
@@TheProvokedPrawn thank u so much.
If I want to have the Lin li effects I must use the usb 2.0 motherboard connection? I bought the triple 8pin for gpu and the 24pin
Yes
@@EG-O 5vRGB? No, it's fine to use either
@@TheProvokedPrawnomg thank you so much! It was the switch haha 😆 it’s working great now :)
@@EG-O excellent. It's nice when it's an easy fix 👍
Dumb question here but do you have to have the Lian Li fans for them to even work?
No. But you do need the Strimer controller that comes with the 24pin
@@TheProvokedPrawn thanks 😊
Does the led start to light up as soon as you "Power On" or do you need the software before?
I ask because my rgb's aren't working on these not my fans, can't figure out why they are working?
Can you plug these into the hub that comes with the Lian Li Uni fans?
No
@@flo_ssjwhy wouldn’t you be able to?
@@Yungdilas the strimer hub is an rgb hub while the uni hub is a fan controller
@@YungdilDifferent models, and obviously manufacturer companies want to squeeze money out of its consumers' pockets.
no sadly :(
Am I right in saying that controller is the same as the SL120 V2 fan controller?
Hellooo bro I need some helpp I connected everything but since all my usb headers are used up by all my fans I connected the strimmer to my motherboard via the jrainbow2 on my b550 msi mag tomahawk max wifi but the strimmer wont turn on any tips my pc is working fine aswell everything turns on
I also just ordered a nzxt usb 2.0 hub if that solves my issue aswell just wanted a temporary fix
my 24pin’s rgb does not sync with the rest. i even used signal rgb, do u know what should i do
Hello, is it necessary to connect the argb cable to control the modes, or is it only necessary to use the usb? I have a motherboard that has a 12v connector and it is not compatible
You can do it with just USB if you want
Can that PCI e be conectes to the mother boards CPU headers ?
