I've been with my boyfriend for 6 months and never a day are we apart. Not used to this. We're both 36 yrs old and pretty much inseparable. He comes to work every day just to bring me coffee. I hear what you're saying but one of the biggest problems with falling in love is that many people; like myself do not know how to assert themselves when expressing their feelings.
Right now I am in a situation where I have fallen in love with this guy and I swear the guy that I am in love with feels the same. The whole situation was a disaster since 2008. It's like we met, circumstances got in the way, then we parted ways amicably. Then in 2012 he contacted me and we went out to dinner and I had plans to do something the next day but he thought I was dating someone else and he ran away and I was like WTF is his problem; oh well. Then in 2016, he emails me because his coworker had a legal question and instead of asking one of the thousands of lawyers in NJ, he emails me after not hearing from him in 4 years. Then I spent practically the whole summer with him in NJ but got scared and I ran away. He kept inviting me to the beach and I kept turning him down telling him I had to work but we always talked on the telephone for hours and hours. Then at Christmas time I had told him about all of the baked goods I was making for the holidays and he asked me when he was going to get some cookies? I got mad at him because he didn't say "I miss you and want to see you", he said I want cookies". So then I didn't hear from him for two months and then he called me again and wouldn't leave me alone. Then it hit me all at once like a ton of bricks... this man is in love with me and you know what stupid... you love him too. I dunno, we have this deep friendship and I have always always cared about whether or not he was okay. I told him that I love him and he was happy about it. I just feel so overwhelmed because to me falling in love makes me feel out of control of my emotions. It's like a feeling of inebriation and it's quite scary actually.
I think that the best way to tell if it is genuine love is that it's a deep friendship that has turned to passion. It's not something that happens overnight and it's complicated because lust often disguises itself as love. That's my take on it but I'm not expert.

Many women just aren't interested in that type of guys, simply because they may not be good looking enough for them, or for various other reasons they may have. It is possible to be in love and have it not be reciprocated.
Yes, when someone finds out that the person they love doesn't feel the same, they should move on. However, let's be real. Even when someone find out the person they love doesn't love them back and they are actually actively trying to move on, their feelings don't instantly disappear. They're not robots. There will still be lingering feelings. It will go away over time. But let's not lie to ourselves, kay. The feelings ARE still there, even after we've been rejected. So, in that case, yes, love can exist without reciprocation.

There's this guy that's been in love with me since 7th grade and also since the first day we meet he always been texting me all the time and and wanting to talk to me everyday he also always says that I'm beautiful.
