I have a 86 Cutlass I put in a 99 vortec engine with Edelbrock 7116 intake and a 600 carb need to Know which hoses should be ran to water pump n intake and what should I close off because intake has several holes in there this my first rebuild

On a Chevy engine, if you don’t use Permatex 2 Form-A-Gasket Sealant on your head bolt and intake bolt threads, it will leak. I don’t believe he said, but I don’t use it. You have proof from your head leaking coolant. I use the EOIC method when setting valves cause it’s more accurate than the shop manual sequence.

really good video.just wondering where you got that accelerator cable bracket? I have the same intake and cant seem to find the right bracket. and NO never use those cork intake end gaskets,if you do you'll be sowweee.

Thanks. I wouldn't use that accelerator bracket. It is a pain and honestly I already replaced it. If you want a bracket that is cheap and will work you can use www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1514/overview/ . It can be adjusted many different ways and will take car of the cable as well as the return spring bracket.

Kick ass video bro but I've got a question my gasket came with little piece to run around the seam of the engine but I'm not exactly sure how to put that in place without it leaking

Can oil seep through the intake manifold gasket into the combustion chamber getting oil on the spark plugs? Asking cause I just rebuilt my 350 sbc. new everything and I'm getting oil on my spark plugs. Blue smoke, I even redid my valve seals cause I saw that some we're broken. I didn't do my intake manifold gasket the way you did it. So that's why I'm asking.

With the heat crossovers from them heads it might burn that gasket up 👆 gasket up

How much of a gap should there be on the intake ends? Before you put the RTV. I have about a 1/8 inch gap on both sides.
