- Razer sent me two of their Razer Huntsman V2 TKLs to review. Both their optical clicky and linear switches to try out! I was really excited to use this keyboard for whenever I played games, but well... guess I'm not :/

The Huntsman V2 Analog had the potential to be my #1 keyboard. Just the feel of the switches was the absolute best. It wore out in less than a month. For a $250 USD keyboard I found that pretty quick. My #1 is the Steel Series Apex Pro for sure!
Great review, and I'm looking forward to rewatching it later!
@@echoeee Hello! Hope you have a great day!
does the V2 analog use non-dampened linear switches? I saw the images and their switches were black and I think I didn't see any dampeners?
@@tokaku I will do some surgery and check! I know nothing about keyboards, so I will do my best!

The fact that she gives up getting free keyboards just so she can be honest is insane

I really enjoy these review type videos, I would say you're good at making them and that they're very interesting/entertaining. Keep it up!
Very professional and honest review. It's been a great help. Thank you!
Solid content! Just came across the channel today and it's looking better than most.
aw thank you!
the moment you said this on 9:17, I set my mouse polling rate from 1000hz to 500hz and its really fix my stuttering problems on osu. Thanks a lot!
Almost, huh

I got the original Huntsman TKL and so far I'm enjoying it without any complaints. I got it on sale for around $79 US which is worth it compared to the $200+ options out there.
if you want to do more research into keyboard latency, you should look into keyboard matrix polling rates. Many of the gamer keyboards advertising themselves as "1000hz USB polling rate" will only have an internal matrix scan rate of 128hz. This is the speed that the microcontroller on the PCB checks the "matrix" of keyswitches to see what is being pressed - if you have 1000hz polling rate, it won't save you if the matrix scan rate is 128hz. The reason most cheap keyboards don't go beyond 128hz is because of the "debounce time" of switches. Regular cherry MX switches have around 5ms of debounce time, which is the time it takes for you to be able to read a clear signal from a keyswitch once it's pressed. 128hz gives around 8ms between each input scan so it dodges this problem
this is why razer uses optical switches in their 8000hz keyboards - their debounce time is near 0, which lets you get much higher matrix scan rates and much higher USB polling rates with it actually making a difference. There are also ways to get higher matrix scan rates with non-optical switches, avoiding the debounce time problem, but they're much more complicated. These are the techniques corsair uses in their keyboards that say they use "AXON Hyper-processing technology" and also have 8000hz. This way of doing things is probably better because it lets you get high matrix scan rates while still using non-optical switches, which is much cheaper than using these optical switches. (k65 mini is less than half the price of this keyboard and also has 0.1ms latency).
just thought u might find interesting since it's something that i've done alot of research on and i see you mention keyboard polling rates alot^
So k65 is the fastest?
man, you are knowledgeable, I had mad respect for your non-bullshit explain, short and concise!!!! THANKS
"k65 mini is less than half the price of this keyboard" ok now that I've stopped just shaking my head, no it depends where you live as to how much the relative cost is for different brands.
@@zed6693 no they're the same speed
Gk61 vs apex 9 vs apex pro vs huntsman v2 ?
very cool review, in dept and informal!
I likely of the typical keyboards that I've seen but this, the clicking on the keyboard is very satisfied.
for a switch with individual stabilizer come attached, I expect a lot less wobbling. The way they wobble like that 2:23 just feels like a normal cherry switch, what's the benefit of the stab then, they just adds more rattling sound
Thingthing
Probably an attempt by the original manufacturer to make these bind as little as possible.
Razer looks way sicker now, whoa. That keyboard actually seems good.
haven't watched but I already know its gonna be good!
Thanks for this. I've always wanted those kind of switches just because they look cool with the stabilizers, but now I am sold that the keyboard won't be beneficial for me or my use.
I really like MX speed switches, and I think I will replace the keys on my Xtrfy K4 with those instead.
Finally someone talks about 8k polling rate!! Nicee

I'm not generally a fan of razer, but this keyboard I got for christmas is great! Would love to see a review of it. It's only like 50 bucks it's called the Ornata v2 and it basically combines the best of both worlds of mechanical and membrane. It has the quietness and super fast debounce time of membrane but the great tactileness (if that's the right word) of mechanical.
I had that keyboard too. It’s pretty great for anyone on a budget that likes a clicky keyboard.
Love ur reviews, thank u
I got the clicky optical TKL huntsman v2. fucking awesome keyboard. I was worried about the switches and stabs being bad in stock form. but honestly. it's pretty good for stock already. no much modding needed. could pad the stabs a bit but even without, it's solid.
excellent video great quality thanks a lot
Wow! 8000hz. Razer is stepping up their game performance wise! If only they made the switches and keyboard feel and sound nice. That would make a huge difference.
@@plumbirb8444 Probably rhythm game players or something
Yeah the performance are good but the sound and the switch are bad
@@evermythic9480 You really don't need anything over 1k.
@@plumbirb8444 i do agree that realistically, for rhythm games you don't need anything over 1000hz, but the argument that the best players don't use anything over 1000hz doesn't work when there is only 2(i think) 8000hz keyboards and they were both released in the past year.
anything above 1000hz is useless for rhythm games, having a keyboard with no chord-splitting is way way way more important factor for a good rhythm game keyboard.
they ain't really upping much only usual Razer things *buzz words* to usual Razer apple like pricing.
and all the taste in gear is a opinion to just keep searching you'll find what suits you! *remember all them and the Switches and such don't honestly matter* don't gotta lube, add switch films, o-rings (dunno if many dislike those again a opinion) and so on to you're case's material and so on to DYI > pre builts imo.
Razer and them will keep trying! just gotta wait and see.
i have the full size huntsman v2, and i love it, not everybody like quiet keys, for me the noise is just right with the purple switches.
JEESSE WE NEED TO REVIEW THE KEYBOARDDDD
Awsome review
the razer red linears were actually linears on the huntsman elite but when they put foam and changed thw switch a little in the hunstamn mini and huntsman tkl it just became silent and very unsatisfying to press. should try the huntsman elite with the red linears, their really quick
I get the "you feel like you are hitting bricks" really much lol.
First time I got it I was so used to cherry mx red that it literally hurt my fingers since I'm a mania player. I couldn't play with it so I just left it abandoned in a corner. Then my cherry mx keyboard got water inside it aaaaand.... had to use what I had but, after I got used to it, I've never liked a keyboard so much before, and now it just feels smooth, I don't lift my fingers that much now and thdy are so light I almost feel as if I have unlimited stamina, 8.7/10 for my review.
I find that the linear switches with the added dampening negatively impact how quickly I can press the key. I sorta wish they'd just go back to the pingy linear keyboards they had, like the original Huntsman TKL.
Razer never reply to costumers is a shame, btw thank you for the nice review! I really would like to see your review of the razer deathstalker v2
lol "For clicky gamers only", you may be right. I like the clicky!!! Great video, thanks for the info!
3:15 It looks like that because it’s PBT. You can only get good shine-through on ABS
I would like to hear your opinion about the RedDragon K552 Kumara. It’s considered the best budget mechanical keyboards at $30, but I’m not sure how good it is for rhythm games and stuff.
Awesome!
You are a real professional when it comes to keyboards. I really need the advice of a very knowleadgable person in keyboards.
I bought the razer huntsman mini and then I heard of the woothing 60e.
I want to say that I have really low experience with expensive keyboards but for whatever reason my vulcan roccat tkl feels nicer and more premium on touch - could be the back, the case etc, maybe its because its plastic and its more user friendly? than the razer huntsman mini. (i have the purple switches on my razer and no analog ones atm) - paid 120$ for it
My question is, if I buy the woothing do you think it will be a change in percieved build quality since I head its made by plastic? Is it worth doing the upgrade? The most important things for me is performance and build quality. (woothing is 180$ in my country) -
I have no idea what half of the things in this video meant but it was super entertaining nonetheless!
Tryna decide If the 288AUD is worth it for this or not lmfao
I’m probably going to get the black widow V3 Tkl but might consider it.
Thank u for u review (mostly I’m looking for the sound and latency btw)
That keyboard looks nice i like the clicky one more
I actually use the huntsman 60% with linear switches and I really like it lol. I do mostly only play first person shooters though, and do minor typing for schoolwork, though not too much because I'm an engineering student so most of my typing is with a numpad.
Mine does exact same thing we're pings I'm pretty sure it's just The click Bolt despite it they're still really good switches still definitely a step up from MX
I don't think Razer would be mad at this review. It's pretty fair and it's just not for you. I'm still interested in the linear model, but I'm definitely more on the fence than before.
After using razer wrist rest in summer i love it when it stick to my hand
epic review
Those purple switches ping more than a network tech!
skills depends more than the switches themselves because i am a mania player with clicky switches
Dayum wht a thick keyboard 👌🔥😌
Saw the Community Post, didn’t think you would do a review lol.I would use Razer Products if:
1. I wasn’t on MacOS
2. My father’s desktop wasn’t old
there are razer drivers for mac but they're dogshit compared to the windows one
@@plumbirb8444 or get an entry level custom keyboard

Wow the keypoard sounds nice
So there is no regular linear version?
If so, that's a real shame. I've heard multiple times that the linear razer optical switches are insanely smooth, but being dampened no matter what completely kills my interest.
Can you post the switches video on a different channel? I found that video to be somewhat useful.
I liked that video, I don’t know why she would private it.

What polling rate would you recommend? For just general gaming like cod and mc and basic games like that?
in my opinion the huntsman elite (full size) is what you shouldve gotten. i have it and i have 0 complaints. just a bit loud but i really dont mind that
I like the linears, i needed something fast for Call of Duty and nothing too loud cause i hate the clicks on the razer keyboard, its a solid board but again it aint for everyone.
@@gun_slinger2677 linear switches on razer aren’t too good tbh, that’s just me tho
@@rashrush4529 my movement in cod is very responsive, very clean, and very accurate. they probs dont feel too good cause the activation force is hella light, u can push it down like .1 centimeters and the thing activates, it took me a bit to get used to the board

rapping midwest while reviewing a razer new keyboard damn asin girl i kiss ur hair(the hair in ur head chill) for that greatness!
I wonder how affected the CPU usage for this keyboard is at 8000hz setting? maybe if i buy it, i'll just put it on 2000hz, this is already in my basket plan and don't you worry about it because of this, it's just a matter of paying
Her: clicky is alright it’s not great tho
Sillyfangirl: so you have chosen DEATH
I personally have a razer huntsman v2 tenkeyless with the purple switches. Me personally im currently typing with it right now. I don't really like the sound of it. Whenever i click the keys, there's just this silent spring sound, my mom. Woke up one time and said that she thought it was raining, Yes Raining. Because of how the keyboard sounded. Just saying. if you like very, very loud. Then get the purple switches.
the Purple Clicky spacebar sounds like a sword fight lmao

I completely gave up on mechanical keyboards. When i had one once for osu taiko, i noticed something funny...sometimes hitting normaly, sometimes extremely late, so i correct it by hitting earlier to balance off the hits, and then i miss of hitting too early. The inputs were extremely inconsistent, maybe keys too high and never learned on how to play at one of these. I played with it a pretty long time and never got used to that, so i bought an keyboard, that has low key height and low push force to hit. Like i need it since i play 270bpm maps lol. But i still think it could be better so i have no perfect keyboard
Maybe you could try a low profile mechanical? High quality membranes feel pretty good too
flat membrane keyboards for osu taiko generally feels better and helps with speed more than mechanical keyboards. for other rhythm game things like mania, mechanical is a more comfortable choice for most
Make a review of Wooting 2 HE plz
I think it's the fastest keyboard on the market. Even faster than razer's ones.
i have the REDRAGON keyboard and mine is the Kumara K552 60% keyboard and yes it has an app and macro blah blah but the important part is that the keys are replaceable and it is waterproof and that's amazing cuz i spilled 7 cups of water and had to clean so i dumped it in water so that makes 8, it has blue cherry keys and i love it but the reason i got it is cuz first I'm kinda broke, secondly is that i want to be average and i don't want very amazing stuff like i have the TDAGGER seargent and i am pretty sure i was able to take the mouse's app and code some of my stuff in it and made it do aim bot, auto shooting, the normal macro of 6000 and something, but i did something cool, I FREAKING TOOK THE MACRO AND MADE IT MAKE A GAME AND THAT MY FREINDS TOOK ME WAY TO LONG (2 months) so yeah i guess i will get better keys hopefully (i want POM jelly)
3:29 she just roasted my keyboard
what are the best keyboards you've used?

5:28 so true!!
what skin for mania do you use?
how do i fix my razer huntsman te keyboard the backspace and lshift gets stuck bruh
I love your accent !
which keyboard were were you using to compare at 5:13?
PBT does shine just not as fast as ABS
ok i got very distracted by the mouse here because i appear to have the same one just black !!
I enjoy me some silent linears. Who needs noisy keyboards?
BUT I cannot afford that prizetag.
They seem nice to me
Would you prefer linear over optical?
My razor huntsman tournament edition look like abs keycaps with how worn down they are after only 8 onths
So I’ve been using black widow for a long time now.
I like foo size too.
hey what keyboard did you test with the 1000 pulling rate
I am using this keyboard and it is amazing I came from the Logitech G512 carbon its a good keyboard dont get me wrong but this is a good feeling keyboard and yes the wrist wrest is amazing
Yeah i also came from Logitech G513 linear, "its a G512 with wrist wrest", and got the Razer Huntsman v2 linear today on sale, the feeling when pushing buttons, and the teksture, is so more nice then logitech, the wrist wrest is realy soft, but i newer use it.. But think the letters look funny on it, and on mine the spacebar sound different from all the other keys, sounds a little like she talk about in the video, with the clicky one.. But i think its a realy good keyboard!
Try v1 pls without the foam in the switches
Uhm hi! I'm a new sub. I wanna ask what is the stream deck thingy called. Please reply, thanks!

their chroma software I believe? If you want more control over the LEDs other than the default
@@tokaku usually everything should be within synapse. there is a tab called "studio" where you can mess around and customize every single LED. was it not there for you?
Is there really any difference to 8k and 1k polling rate?
Once tried 8k and didnt really seem too much diff from 1k
only would affect the HIGHEST accuracy players in the world, pretty much less than the number of fingers on my hands. It would only apply to etterna as well, since they use millisecond based scoring
hi tokaku-sensei, I have a question
if I want to get into IIDX in 2022, what do I need to do?
which IIDX controller should I buy?
even though it makes me sick, is it worth it to pay Konami for the beatmania monthly game service?
if you have an arcade nearby, I don't recommend paying for the subscription service.
BMS and IIDX are two separate games, but you COULD technically learn the game via BMS if you really wanted to.
As for what controller you should buy, anything from gamo2 should be good. Yuancon's turntables still use acrylic and don't have a rubber turntable cover lol....
