i so agree shes lovely
She knows she was dealing with a young man with special needs .

I agree. They actually flew her in special to interview him.
She really couldn't care less. She might have some feelings. But she's laser focused on the job, and couldn't care less about him.

Do a search for the interrogation of Rocky Rambo. THAT is the most Canadian Interrogation ever.

Yes it is lol So much more polite than American detectives 😂
These police always try to give the impression that they are so friendly- always have a lawyer present if the cops are questioning you.
How on earth is getting a lawyer, evading the law???!
Love her professional behavior and her calmness and honesty. She's really getting him to trust in her. Her ability to be more of a parent figure, showing that she is really listening, giving him time to talk, not interrupting, not asking questions that are judgemental. Awsome job.
All I can say is this woman talking like she does...will make me confess for a crime...even if I didn’t do it!?!?!
Right?? She could hit me with a few of those Eh's and I'd probably tell her every wrong thing I've done.

😂Exactly

That’s why this is just wrong on all levels. You’re not an autistic kid, either.
When the cop was reading his rights, it was like she was trying to talk him into getting a lawyer. Whereas American cops gloss right over that part, hoping the suspect will talk to them.
I disagree.
Thank God for American cops. They're not b.tches like most in the west.
In Canada the criminals have the rights! There’s no such thing as life with no parole, it’s disgusting.
@@HandbagDiva most of those have a stipulation/s for time, around 20 years or minimum sentencing time, behavior, interviews with other inmates, and other things. But you're right. It's terrible that they need to take up society's resources for that long.
You are completely right. When I watched that part I was really confused, this is the first police interrogation that I’ve ever seen like this. I knew immediately that this was not an American police officer.
And I’m not some anti-cop or anti-American person, I’m generally very pro American, but neutral regarding police.
American police absolutely manipulate you and lie to you during these interrogations, and they certainly try their best to prevent you from requesting a lawyer in every way they can.
She is so well spoken
No matter how many of these I watch it is still so shocking to me how somebody just snaps and decides murder is the best option for their problems.
This lady is so good, I felt an instant comfort and warmth towards her which is probably how he feels and why he is happy to give her all these details. Very good at her job.
it's because it's a quick and sometimes easy solution. people are hasty and irrational when upset.
I worked with Dave at the Ottawa Citizen ... a wonderful man. - kind and gentle with a great sense of humor. Such a tragic end ... That beings said I do not believe Cameron should have been found guilty of first degree murder ... He was clearly extremely disturbed and that should have been a mitigating factor in his sentence.
This poor kid should have had a lawyer immediately!

As a parent I can understand why his parents were extremely protective of him. Especially since he's on the autism spectrum and has ADHD as well. But very sadly it appears they coddled him, were afraid to let him be an adult and wouldn't allow him to make his own decisions regarding his life. I think the parents really thought they were protecting him from any outside influences, etc. They believed they were doing the right thing by keeping him close to them at all times. Such an incredibly sad and tragic situation.
I understand why she is speaking to him the way she is but she could literally bore a confession out of me.
He was yawning. Being who I am, I find her a bit insulting
I feel so sorry for his parents, who were reportedly lovely and did their best with their adopted son. How awful for the mom to spend hours dying at the hands of the son she adopted and loved for decades. Just imagining her thoughts is too tough to bear
Yes, he is a master manipulator, even with the excuse of autism does not justify his barbarism. Evil as any man.

In the usa they would never keep trying to get u to talk to a lawyer…..no way…and they dont ask you if the officers have been nice…jesus christ…i want to be in canada if i ever hack someone to death
In Canada you can keep interrogating someone even if they request a lawyer. In the US they have to stop and wait for the lawyer. That changes how they treat it here.
what in the actual f*ck???!!!
He didn't even bury them ?
Sooner or later someone is going to notice the smell of rotting bodies.
Even freezing them in a conventional garage freezer or fridge would of caused a foul smell. People who commit these crimes and try to either burn bodies or try to freeze them, are absolutely insane, have watched one too many Hollywood movies, and think a conventional fire is hot enough to incinerate bodies or, a conventional freezer is cold enough to prevent all stages of decomposition from occurring. There's a reason why funeral homes use crematoriums and huge freezers to get the job done. These people who try covering up murders by opting to burn and freeze remains, are absolutely mad in the head and completely void of common sense.
His parents sound very controlling….not that u kill them for it but im guessing he felt he had no way out?
I honestly don't know how he could have gotten out of this situation any other way. They wouldn't even let him spend his money he earned at his job. When you deny someone even the most basic levels of autonomy they're going to eventually turn on you.
Yeah there’s def a lot more unsaid
There is a deep and disturbing ignorance regarding Autism. The sheer fact he called Police after not feeling competent enough to go through with living on the streets is very telling. The approach by the investigator also displays an awareness that Cameron has special needs.
People who have Autism are generally unable to feel empathy or understand the impact of their actions on another person and consequently lack the foresight: "If I do this, the other person will feel this." Any contempt for Cameron is inappropriate given this. Incarceration in a jail is not the appropriate "punishment" for someone like Cameron as he did not have the capacity to understand the consequences of his actions.
Yeah then what if he kills someone else
He doesn’t have Autism
I’m curious how he was taking College Engineering classes. Listening to this and on the 911 call he doesn’t even know his own address, is confused how to find it, so has to go to the sign at the end of the street.
