- WATCH: Police interrogate former Oklahoma Senator Ralph Allan Lee Shortey, the disgraced politician convicted of child sex trafficking in 2017. An FBI investigation later found that Shortey used Craigslist to solicit young males, receiving hundreds of communications as a result of the ads he posted. Shortey was sentenced to 15 years in prison plus 10 years of supervision upon release.

I went to Bible college with him. Heartland Baptist Bible College. (Fundamentalist) I grew up that way. I have never seen more cover ups for pedophiles as I have when I was in that movement. Reid is something I've only recently been learning about. It's fascinating to see it in action like this, dynamically; from moment to moment and try to figure out when they're transitioning from one step to the next.
That is very common with these interrogations. I also notice whenever they say that they know the got the right person. You know while they are saying that out loud their minds are saying "what an effin creep". The interrogators show great restraint.

As someone who lived in Moore and was in Youth & Government in 2009-2011, Ralph Shortey was one of two legislative sponsors for the program. The great Joe Dorman was the other one. Shortey always gave me weird vibes and had unfettered access to hundreds of teenagers over the years. I really hope they looked into whether or not there were other victims.

I find that odd too. I have had more sit downs with police/detectives than I would have liked. I have never heard that statement. Depending on the officer I usually decide real quick if we are going to speak. For sure if an LEO tells me I can leave, I'm gone
I've been interrogated numerous times. Never had any cop tell me I could leave at any time. Because they know I woulda said goodbye!!! They take advantage of people not actually knowing their rights. And in my early 20s with at least 20 arrest all misdemeanor. And always getting a slap on the wrist. When I got felony charges. I just assumed the same would happen. I was a heroin addict at the time as well. The one time they had me in the room for hours and had been watching my house so I couldn't leave. They knew me being dope sick I would have admitted to anything just to get out of that room. 😒 hindsight is 2020

I remember following this when the arrest was reported, and saw the arrest video. I'm still suspicious of the legislature closing off records that let the public know who these offenders are.

Lol okay. The young man was 17 so within the legal age. He was very well allowed to meet up with him and do whatever together but since this dude offered money it turned illegal. @@angelface925 no, he was the state senator til 2017 when he resigned. He ia currently in prison, and was sentenced to 15 years plus 10 years of supervised parole/probation.
