- The new Photontek XT 1000W CO2 PRO is an extraordinary and revolutionary fixture. some of your BTU math seems a little off. The Gavita all watts eventually create the same BTU in an enclosed space 3.41BTU=1w. The higher BTU #'s they give for the bulbs seem to be rounded numbers they give to recommend AC units. Both HID units should be around 7k BTU assuming the wattage is accurate.
The LED is dead on with this number.
Not that it makes much of a difference, the Photontek fixture obliterates them either way.
This is why at the end your ratios don't stay the same after the AC is applied. If done properly it should stay at the exact same ratio if it was 2:1 before it should be 2:1 after.
I’m confused as to if I can use a carbon filter and ventilation while adding my co2 to a grow tent? Can someone please enlighten me? New to indoor growing.

Hi everyone I hope Jesus is blessing you all. At present I'm running a 4'×7' grow room. I have 4 Maxsisun PB1000's, 1 (wish) 100 watt, 1 (wish) 50 watt and 1 light bar 140 watts that I made using A14 LED bulbs. Do I need to add more light?

Hi looking for a light system ....for a current culture 6, site 13 gal buckets, and are side by side.. I want at least 1500 PPFD at the canopy for running CO 2. Looking for advice...these are the 2 lights I cannot choose between and am stuck.... the photon Tek 1000 C02 pro or multiple multiple Mars hydro sp 6500's.. Given my budget and the performance of these lights as documented which one's would you go with? Qty 2 photon tek's or 3 or 4 mars hydro sp 6500's? I was leaning toward the photon Tek but I was told by a worker at a hydroponic store that it's got multiple failure points starting with the magnets & the way it's constructed? Then I came across the Mars hydro 6500, the way that thing puts out PPFD if I get them side-by-side I know I can overlap and have a much more solid consistent PpFD throughout the area, ...and 4 mars Hydro SP6500's cost the same as 2 photon teks?? Thoughts? Thx
why do lights only get hung a little over 1.5 ft above the sensor when you will never put those lights anywhere close to that? Wouldn't it be better to show the results with the light hanging about 24in from the ceiling to account for ventilation? Honest question. Thank you for all the time you put into these videos!

I hear it is still going to be a few months for the X1000 (larger frame). The larger frame presents design and shipping challenges they had to work out.

This might sound like a stupid question. What would happen if you removed the two bars and lowered the power to 75% would it allow you to hang the light at a lower height and still achieve the same ppfd?

I believe "Hishine" in China produces these lights. I was sent a "catalog", a PDF, and they even "slipped", and called it Zeus? And I remember that name. Ah, Shane of Migro's channel tested "The Zeus" 600W last year. "Too good" was the title, and brought about his change with his great "Array Series".
Well, Hishine had a 800W version, 8 bars, w/removable driver and 2m Cord for placing outside the grow area.
Phototek/Lumatek don't seem to have the 800W version, so when you removed the 2 bars, I was psyched! I ordered a Sample of the Hishine 800W version. It was around $325 US, but came to $508 with Shipping.
They're not colored purple or black, like Lumatek/Phototek, and don't have the symbols on anything (like the driver? Hishine driver with Lumatek name means Lumatek driver?
Maybe they've always created their ballasts and other products from Hishine in China?
I'll never forget checking out Alibaba years ago, and instantly recognized who "Growers Choice" buys from, who "Nanolux" buys from, and several others. I believe Lumatek works with Hishine, as their P-G03 Models mention Zeus (accidentally, but good for me!). I don't think anyone else sells the 800W version in The USA (or anywhere?), so maybe I can!

Thanks so much for the 8 bar test! I'm really looking forward to one in my 5x5 Gorilla Tent. One fixture, one dimmer, and an isolated driver away from the tent! This will make a big difference compared to the 1000W+ of Quantum type boards (along with drivers) I've been using, and are difficult for some to dim.
Should really cut back on any AC Charges! As well as a few hundred Watts not needed.

Can you remove the driver in the Hishine lamp? I’m looking at it and it doesn’t seem like you can remove it and it doesn’t say that in the specifications
@@engell3707 I'm waiting on a sample now. I had to pay $3-$4 extra US for a "2 Meter cord" so the driver can be put outside the grow area.
That was a main factor for me in trying one out!

solid info, loved the non-biased opinion. The podcast with growcast about the diodes was also extremely eye opening. Makes me evaluate my light purchases a lot more, make sure I'm not overpaying for a brand name. If you hang it at a distance of 12" (30 cm) from the top of the cannabis, turn it on at 100% and add CO2, will it be good or will the plants get a light burn? What should be the minimum distance from the tops of the plants?

I would raise these lights a few inches more to prevent fox tailing. Cutting it too close without c02 and it will hit the outer map better.
When I switched from my SE 1000W HPS Cooltubes I went with the Growers Choice roi 720e, switched back in April, here we are in August and already having issues, one of the Master Controller climate sensors pooped out on me (stuck at 99% humidity). Wish I had waited and went with the Photontek XT1000. 🤬

@@kevinkline1947 Go with the Photontek, stay clear of the Gavita LED’s they are trash, if you’re on a budget go with the 720 add the UV Booster bar and Co2 and you should have no problem knocking out 2-4lbs in a 4X4.

Those charts are meaningless. Why did you use 2 DE and 2 HPS? to tell how this might actually related everyone just has to divide all your numbers in half now....
The XT 1000 puts out about twice the light of a 1000w hps. Compare the usable PPF. If you want to compare the same amount of light from HPS as the XT then you need two HPS. Hope it is clear now. Grower Love

That's all math you can do with the specs provided. If you're running flower then 12 hours a day of 1000w's of lighting x30 days.

At 4 feet and these need to be hung at 4 feet. It’s supposedly a 1:1 replacement for DE. I don’t know what I’m missing here. But that seems really low. For the 1930 being gavita and supposedly one of the best out today. I been wanting to replace my DE and was going to go with these. But I don’t like these numbers

You'll need co2. not to expensive to get a 20 lbs co2 set up
Yes, as I show in the vid - you can run it at 75% or with 8-bars to get the PPFD to levels appropriate for ambient CO2. Grower Love
