  • 💪Step-by-step installation of a S&S Diesel Motorsport DCR Pump on a 2021 Ford Powerstroke 6.7L. DELETE that CP4 today!!!! This cutting-edge aftermarket product replaces the problematic CP4 fuel pump with a more dependable DCR pump, solving the widely-known CP4 high-pressure fuel pump problem plaguing Ford Super Duty trucks using the 6.7L Powerstroke diesel engine.
The CP4 has a well-earned reputation for failing without warning, creating sudden power loss, and taking out the expensive high-pressure fuel system in the process. Despite having to deal with being broken down on the side of the road, truck owners will be facing fuel system repairs that can easily exceed $10,000. The unreliable reputation is supported by recalls and lawsuits leveled at various auto manufacturers that use the CP4 in their production vehicles.
The S&S Diesel Motorsport Ford 6.7L CP4 to DCR Pump Conversion can save ‪@ford‬ Super Duty truck owners $10,000 to $15,000 in fuel system repairs and impart peace of mind knowing that their daily workhorse isn't going to let them down. The conversion kit includes everything you need for a direct replacement and easy installation. The S&S-PurePower ‪@SSfueled‬ engineering team currently has DCR Conversions being validated all over North America in all types of conditions and climates, with the goal of bringing a well-refined and proven product to the market.
Upgrade your Ford Super Duty truck with the S&S Ford 6.7L CP4 to DCR Conversion today!

Thank you for such a detailed video! And with the cab on to boot! I have watched this video twice and purchased my DCR from thoroughbred in preparation for my installation. 👍🏻

Thank you for your video! This was so helpful and detailed. Just completed my install and my comments are that the upper pulley does not need to come off. The cp4 was a bear to get out. I put the nut back on the cp4 and used a deep well 12mm with a sledge and it finally came out. The DCR going in was also a struggle, torqued the nut to 60 ftlb and it still wasnt seated. Nice mention on the video to recheck the torque on that nut after it is all snugged up. Thanks again and great job!

Have you ever tried removing the fan still attached to the mounting bracket? Seen another mechanic do it that way and wondered if you ever did it that way?
Great vid. I'll be doing my 2022 in the next month and this will save me a few headaches
    Thank you

I haven’t tried it that way. I don’t have a problem with the bracket as much as the dang wiring harness!

@@robertgator8416 Use the crank bolt that holds the harmonic balencer on. My 2016 needed an 18mm 12 point socket. Really easy to do with a longer ratchet, just take your time and let the cylinders release the pressure as you turn the motor over.

We use the bolts on the crank and turn it while watching the marks in the vacuum pump hole.

@@Post_Oak_ I just did mine on my 2016 F350...took me 10 hours. I thought i could do it a little quicker, but i didn't want to rush anything....double and triple checked a lot of the torqued bolts.
