FWIW, the biggest/quickest killer of a starter is low voltage. On an "inductor" which in this case means electric motor, if your voltage goes down, the current goes up to do the same amount of "work". Current is what causes heating, which will literally melt the bushings out of the starter. Having a jump from another vehicle, or a big battery charger is a savior of starters. Even if you are just beginning to try to crank one, especially when it has been run dry of fuel, jump it off.
You may be right but I don't think it's that serious. My 7.3 has 415k miles and for half of those the previous owner only ran one battery. Start became weak but never failed.

Unless we changed something in the system to open it up to more flow how can we flow more oil? Correct, you do not reinstall the check valve springs when installing a Adrenaline HPOP.
What’s a good OBD2 reader for your 1999 7.3l diesel?
We really like the Edge Insight for obd2 monitoring, or the SCT Livewire Vision.
Thank you!
Best to "Walk an O-Ring" up with a pick vs Roll
Just curious, are these hpop’s stock style or to support modded injectors? Reason I ask is I had some 175cc from ol swamp donkey years ago on a 95 7.3 & I never had enough pump to fully utilize them. I tried the 99 & up pump with little success & really didn’t like the long cranks due to the resivor draining back with the different ipr setup
Thanks for the video!
In edit I saw the ending finally lol
ok, what advantage to installing this pump in place of a stock system? with a stock engine, why is the advantage of adding this pump?
More oil flow on demand. This pump will really shine on the stock trucks that tow often and have correct tuning. Basically, the truck wont have to work as hard.
@@thoroughbreddiesel , what I need to find is what I can do to dial in the 7.3 in an ambulance (95 E350), I was looking to do the 6 switch, and the wicked compressor upgrade, I was also thinking on having the heads shaved to bring up compression up to 17-1, I am not turning it into a monster, just something more reliable and efficient, what do you think?
@@limojag stock compression is 17.5 :1 shaving the heads would make it higher no need for that your not hot rodding a 283 chevy here. I would just make a intake out of a napa 6637 filter, replace muffler with a piece of pipe or a glasspack, shim the fuel regulator with a BB for a BB gun and call it a day. You could throw tuning on it to add power but I have found zero difference in mileage running tunes.
Flow more oil huh? What did we open up here to flow more oil? Are we flowing more oil simple because the pressure is higher? Unless we changed something in the system to open it up to more flow how can we flow more oil? If it needs 3000psi and its getting 3000psi (just picking a number) how can we flow more oil without increasing the pressure or opening something up in the system (bigger hole)? There must be a opening of larger size if the pressure is the same. I'm pretty sure you guys didn't open anything up in the system, heads or injectors etc etc. Where is the increased flow coming from? Are we just bypassing more oil? Do we need increased pressure? Does increased pressure put a strain on other parts? Trying to understand where this greater flow is coming from. Maybe the stock pump is just on the marginal side? Mines been running now for 25 years so....Still runs like a top. I doubt its marginal.
The IPR regulates pressure leaving the pump. Pressure and volume aren't tied together

@@fluffykittynoodles How does more volume help me?
Great R&R video...Thanks! But the pump is way overpriced.
Change the Excursion(Eddie Bauer Edition) to “Edna” lol definitely goes better lol
I can’t get my oil pump gear back on

My Adrenaline HPOP shot craps in two years. 15k miles put on it. Not impressed.
I think im gonna go CnCFab
What did you end up doing on failure ?
@@33valleys28 it was out of warranty but they did an exchange, cost me $400 plus their broken one back. The new one has been doing good.
@@bamalandfarmstead820 any reason they give for failure? Have they upgraded in last two years ? What are you doing w your truck primarily ? Thanks. I’m just looking to upgrade and can’t decide yet.
@@33valleys28 no reason giving for failure. They now come with a 3 year warranty which is good. I tow 18k camper, tractor and skid steer Takeuchi TL 140 just under 10k.
Should put 10w30 oil in it it'll runn better an better mpgs
I have a 2002 ford f350 7.3 I just replaced the glow plugs before I put the valve covers back on I wanted to check to see if the injectors was working like the should the drivers side does however the passager side the oil ports does not pump oil at all anyone have any ideas why are what to look for I'm at a loss thanks in advance.
Did you ever figure it out.
Have 7.3. Only. Runs. On. R Bank. Disconnect. Ls. No change
I, send my like 👍🏼 to you thank you
Thank you too!
Thankyou
You’re welcome 😊
I perused the site and didn’t see much for the ol 6.9L 🤔
A little late now but the old 6.9s and 7.3s dont have much of an aftermarket other than banks and R&D performance I believe
I made the most ignorant mistake I put my ipr on wrong I put the sleeve/coller on then my solenoid then the tin nut I fought with this truck for a month could not figure out why I couldn’t get my icp pressure above 200 I ended up watching a video and just happened to see that I had it on ass backwards the solenoid goes on first the sleeve/coller then the tin nut and she fired right up trust me I feel so stupid
More interested in the creeper lol
where did you get creeper?
Do they make them for 6.0’s?
