I got one in April 2022 a Used 3 year old in Atacama Orange a slightly lighter colour than the one your driving the paint is pearlescent so it changes colour in bright sunlight and has gold flecks in the surface of the paint. you forgot to mention that it was the tow car of the year in 2013 in the UK. I paid 12k with a years Renault warranty included. Ive added a flange towbar about £500 , changed all the tyres as the tread patterns were a bit of a mix , added a reversing alarm which I think is essential with the small rear windscreen and upgraded the front brakes which has significantly improved breaking and stopping by at least 40%. I came down to the fairly low spec Duster Laureate from a Citroen C5 exclusive with the hydraulic suspension so I wanted a car with a soft ride and this fits the bill perfectly, its clearly not a racing car more of a gentle cruising machine that returns around 52 Mpg no matter how hard you drive it. There are 1.5 diesel 2020 models with low mileage on Renault forecourts for around 12,400.00 currently, if your going to loose a couple of grand on the brand new purchase price the moment you drive it off the forecourt might as well pay a little less and buy a used one with some warranty. the car has a very reassuring weight to it, it is like driving a top of the range Audi you can really feel the weight and the 1.5 dci diesel turbo is more than enough for overtaking on the motorway, a lot of people are plummeting for the 1.3 litre turbo petrol at the moment as fuel prices rise but it doesn't return as good mpg as the diesel does. it takes about £70 to fill the tank at present and gives you around 530 to 550 miles of range Valeo wiper blades are very cheap £7 for the two front flat blades and another £7 for the single rear blade which comes with the plastic cowling that surrounds it. the manual air -con is amazing , the engine produces 62 decibels of noise which is pretty quiet when your outside the car, inside you can hardly hear the engine and compared to earlier models Dacia have made a lot of improvements on reducing noise in the cabin. .I never let the tank drop below half full unless im going on a very long journey, so it hardly ever costs me £70 to fill it up again. I didn't want android auto and plummeted for a fairly decent DAB radio and six speakers, we all use a phones these days anyway or shat naff if we want to go driving in a stream somewhere rural. space saver wheels are available on eBay for about a £100 with a jack and tool kit and are not balanced so you would need to find a tyre shop willing to balance your space saver spare wheel. Underneath they seem to be very well protected and are coated in god knows how much underseal it is probably about half an inch thick. Mines an add blue I filled the 18 litre tank with add blue in April and its probably not even half empty yet., you get a 1200km warning that your add blue is running out on the dashboard when its nearly time to refill the add blue tank. I think its a brilliant car for the money it is reliable and fairly cheap to run which in today's climate is a bonus, and it nice to see the bonnet to which is trait reserved for big american cars or cars of the 1970s. Test drive one it costs nothing and I think you'll be pleasantly suprized. oh a note on safety the thing most people bang on about, mine has front airbags, driver and passenger, side airbags in the front seats and curtain airbags for the front and rear passengers. it got a low score on its euro n-cap safety rating because it didn't have driver less braking , theres a simple answer to that one, put the bloody handbrake on before you leave the car and if your parking on a hill consider putting it in gear as well.
Great review 👍, I am on my second 4x4 diesel Duster, they are a very versatile, reliable, comfy and robust car. I use mine for towing a caravan, The engine has plenty of torque and the brakes are more than adequate.
I drive a 150hp 4x4 Duster Extreme and I have to say this is my best car I have ever had and I have had many other cars before. The car has a lot of power and is super processed. It's also quiet when driving. Also, it looks great in gray. You really don't need another car.

Pretty sure the braking score on the NCAP test is about automatic collision avoidance not parking on a hill 😂
