  • In this video, I check the entire fuel system, because I had a hunch that my car had a fuel delivery problem. First we change the fuel pressure regulator (FPR) to fix the low pressure I had, next we check the relay, then the fuse, then the fuel pump, but finally, the fuel lines, which were rusted through on my car. Guess I should have checked under the car first. Now I know! This was for the E34 525i.

    - I did a crude job with the fittings but after a year it still holds pressure great so I deem this GOOD

Did you use OEM fuel lines?

late reply, but i believe i used 6AN CPE nylon braided fuel lines, similar to evil energy branded lines, its been about 10 months with them and theyre doing great, fuel pressure is just fine at around 40psi, goes down to about 20psi after a few days of sitting there. One day Ill consider replacing it with metal lines. I also cut the charcoal canister fuel line and disconnected the evap purge sensor for the time being. All works fine. I dont encourage these choices but thats what I did for the time being to get it running.
