Thank you! The E23 7 series is a beautiful car. I agree that you can do the job, it's not that difficult. Just make sure to use the correct fuel injection hose, with the right diameter, and some quality clamps. Good luck!

Great! I highly recommend you do it for peace of mind. Not to sound too dramatic but these brittle hoses can leak fuel at any moment so it's best to take care of it ASAP. What year is the 735i you bought?
The original manufacturer for the bmw fuel lines is „Cohline“, I‘m not sure if you can get them in the US/Canada but here in Germany they are easy to get and are a lot cheaper compared to when they add the bmw logo :P (I pay around 10€ per meter)
Thanks for the info. Yes some time after making the video I found out who makes the BMW hoses. The hoses are Cohline as you say and the hose clamps are Norma. The Cohline hoses are not found easily in US/Canada unfortunately. There is a bit on eBay but that's it.
Oui, je me souviens, ce tuyau d'essence coûte un prix exhorbitant, 100% d'accord !!! Mais effectivement, cette grosseur est rare et pratiquement obligé d'acheter au concessionnaire!!! Vous n'avez pas jugé bon de remplacer la pompe à essence du réservoir? Est-elle originale? Y a-t-il également une autre pompe à essence après le filtre ? Sur ma M635CSi, il y a 2 pompes à essence. Une dans le réservoir ( In Tank )et une après le filtre à essence. (In line ). Beau travail!
Oui il est cher ce tuyau! Le prix est à faire sursauter. Mais l'alternative est d'y aller avec un tuyau de grandeur US qui se rapproche le plus du 8x13 de BMW, comme celui produit par la compagnie Gates. Ce n'est pas une alternative viable selon moi, pas pour une composante si importante. La pompe a essence a été remplacée oui, par une pompe Bosch OEM. Même chose pour le "sending unit" (désolé je ne connais pas tous les termes techniques en français), un unité VDO OEM. Les tuyaux de la pompe ont été changés aussi par des tuyaux submersibles BMW. Il n'y a qu'une seule pompe sur les E32 et E34 avec le moteur M30B35. La 750iL à moteur V12 M70 utilise deux pompes. Je préfère un design à une seule pompe, plus simple à entretenir! Is the inconsistency of the idle normal because my car also does this and I notice your car also isn't idling still but going a little up and down. Is this normal? My fans (or something else) also make a loud sound like
The hunting idle is more or less normal. The M30 never has a 100% perfect idle but any false air that enters the intake after the air has been metered by the AFM will worsen the idle. In my car I managed to improve it a bit but I don't know exactly how, I replaced many parts. Have a listen to a recent video of mine titled "Update on my hunting idle" and you'll hear the improvement.
@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec It's pretty common for air to leak thru the throttlebody linkage. Use smokemachine to find out. Only fix is to replace the small bearing for the butterfly shaft. There are writeups for diy. Or buy a new throttlebody.

Great video! Gave me the confidence to tackle this last night on my '89 735i. It was actually one of the easier projects I've done on a BMW.

No it is the same hose but cut to the right length, and it includes two clamps.

Hi, the length of the hose material will be less on a 535i (shorter car) but other than that, the process should be very similar.
